Until then, enjoy! Happy early Valentines! (P.S: I would like to hear about your opinion/review on my story! That would motivate me to continue this story. .. or not. XD LoL!
"What's wrong with him?" Jisuk muttered under his breath as he glowered at Heejae who was helping with some of the female customers in the store. Why on earth did that geek Heejae have to end up working with him? This was so annoying! Jisuk was filled with clear annoyance and lost in his thoughts when he heard other female customers crowd around him asking him how to work a phone in a suggestive manner. He sighed inwardly deeply and wondered how he was going to get through the day avoiding the nerd as much as possible. Besides, why can't things get better? Jingle-jingle! Jisuk heard the doorbell and turned around,"welcome to-..." He stopped. There in the store entered Heejung with a smile on her face. What was she doing here? Heejung saw the puzzlement on his face and as if she were a psychic spoke,"I just wanted to see how you were doing. Surprise! Aren't you happy to see me?" Jisuk didn't know what to say. He couldn't. He never expected her to come. He felt as if he was on cloud nine and impulsively hugged her tight in the middle of his work. Did she know how tired he was? She really was something. Jisuk was so satisfied that he didn't hear the background of people gasping, commenting, whistling, or yelling. Practically, all the female customers were appalled and shocked while his co-workers were excited about it. None of that mattered. All that mattered was that Heejung was in his arms and all his tiredness was gone. "Jisuk. What are doing? Let go of me!" Heejung tried to pull away in embarrassment but he held onto her even tighter. He put his head on her neck and inhaled her sweet fragrance of peaches and her natural scent. Nothing could beat this. He felt right at home. "Jisuk!" Heejung, this time pushed him away with all her might. Jisuk let go and apologized,"sorry. You were so cute that- never mind. Sorry." He scratched his head nervously. He slightly peeked at Heejung and felt his heart beat fast at the sight of Heejung flush red from the neck to her face with affection in her eyes. "Man, I've got it bad. I want to tease her and touch her more." Jisuk thought as he was about to pat her on the head when he heard a crash of items on the floor. Everyone turned around to see.
Heejung still feeling flushed with embarrassment turned to see what happened when she spotted a cute looking employee and noticed he right away who he was. "Heejae?! Is that you?" She exclaimed as she went to help him pick up things from the floor. "Sunbae please don't worry about it. It's my job. I'll do it." Heejae hurriedly exclaimed. Heejung argued,"still, it'll be faster if I help out." She stubbornly helped him. Now that that they were done, she took a good look at him properly. She was surprised. She knew he was a bit nerdy looking but she was completely surprised by the changes. His glasses being gone made him appealing and she noticed his eyes had a soft brown color with a hint of black. His hair was cut in a kpop star style. His freckles were still present but it was very light and she noticed that he had smooth clear skin. His image had changed and that was impressive but she could tell he was still the nice kind hoobae she knew. "You look great Heejae, I like it!" She commented. "Really?" Heejae asked nervously and blushed. "Yup!" She answered and grabbed his hand. Heejae smiled. However, Heejung as soon as she did, she suddenly felt a chill behind her. She looked and saw jisuk blast an aura of displeasure. But when Heejae smiled even more, jisuk's mood became worse. It was then that Heejung realized something. She forgot to introduce each other. She got up and pulled Heejae to jisuk and formally introduced each other. The air was tense and sparks were shooting. "Heejae this is jisuk. He is a friend who lives me temporarily. Jisuk, this is Heejae who is a junior of mine. Please get along!" The mood turned even worse.
Jisuk looked down at the two hands that were being held together and raged. How could she use the same soft pretty hands to touch that filthy brat? that same hand that reached out to him? Jisuk glared at Heejae who gave him the same look while looking smug. "We already met before." He muttered. Jisuk turned his gaze towards Heejung's hand again that was still holding on to Heejae's hand. When will she let go of his hand? "Yes sunbae. We met once when I dropped you off at your house when you were drunk and now we are co-workers." Heejae added as he smiled at jisuk in a fake way. Heejung then turned a bit pink with embarrassment. "Oh yeah. I was drunk. Sorry about that." Jisuk then saw Heejae squeeze his hand lightly on her hand. "That's ok." Heejae chuckled. Jisuk eyes widened. That does it! He couldn't stand it anymore! Jisuk grabbed Heejung's other hand and pulled her away from Heejae hard and looked at her as he spoke in a friendly fake voice. "I'm sorry customer. If you are done with your business please leave." and with that he tried to walk her out the door pulling her along. "Hey wait a minute!" Heejung tried to walk as fast as his pace. Heejae was shocked as was the rest of the people in the store. Heejae still could feel his sunbae's warm hand linger in his palm and seethed as he watched his sunbae be taken away from him. Someday soon, Heejae decided that sunbae would be his...Jisuk felt people's gaze upon him but he didn't care, as long as Heejung wasn't in contact with Heejae right in front of his eyes. When they both exited out of the store, Heejung managed to shake his hand off of her. Heejung looked shocked and furious.
What was wrong with jisuk? Why was he acting so strange and almost rash so suddenly? "What is wrong with you?!" She angrily spat. "Don't come here anymore." Jisuk abruptly answered. "Why? Weren't you glad I came to visit? You're so weird! First you hugged me then you became angry the next! Just what did I do to you?!" Heejung couldn't understand him at all. For a while he didn't speak then he coldly answered. "Nothing. Nothing at all. Our customer hasn't done anything wrong. So please leave for now." With that Heejung saw jisuk return to the store. Appalled and even more confused, yelled in front of the store. "You still haven't apologized yet! Stupid!" Mad and frustrated, she walked rapidly back home. "Just wait. I'll get my revenge soon!"
Jisuk returned to the store where people felt awkward. But since it felt that way, people naturally returned back to their shopping and working. Jisuk sighed and continued to work. Every once in a while he felt Heejae glancing towards him with spite and his other co-workers whispering to one another of what had happened. Jisuk ignored it and worked with a heavy heart until night. When his shift was finally over, he went to his locker room where the other staff members were getting ready to leave. As he was changing, one of his coworkers nudged him and asked excitedly, "hey, who was that cute girl you were with earlier? Sister? Cousin? Friend?" Jisuk didn't answer but his coworker didn't seem to notice and continued in a teasing way. "Maybe I should ask her out?" "No! You can't!" Jisuk and Heejae yelled at the same time who also happened to be in the same locker room. The other staff members were staring at this development. Heejae spoke up first in a panic. "She is someone I like! So please don't ask sunbae out!" Heejae blushed a bit. The staff members cheered and gave Heejae a slap on the back with encouragements. "You can do it! Good luck winning her!" Looking at that, jisuk felt sick and clenched his fist. He wanted to get out of the scene and quickly dressed himself and left the store and headed outside. While he was waiting for the bus, he recollected what had happened a few minutes before when the people cheered for Heejae and his bold confession of liking Heejung. A sharp pain came in his chest. It's happening again. The pain he felt every time he thought about them together whether it was from school or not. He hated the idea of Heejae and Heejung being together. But why? Why did he feel this way? He thought to himself from the beginning. If he was her friend, he should be happy to see a guy nice like Heejae be her boyfriend, but he somehow loathed the idea. It was strange that he was happy to see her smiling at him and the next minute feel bad to see her angry or sad. As jisuk was contemplating and pondering in his thoughts about his feelings, he noticed one of his coworkers coming and sat down next to him also waiting for the bus. Jisuk clicked his tongue in annoyance. It was the same coworker who had asked him earlier about Heejung. "Dude, why did ya run away just now?" The guy asked. "I just wanted to wanted to go home fast." He answered quickly and politely. The coworker raised his one eyebrow up and gave a playful smile. "Oh I see~ you wanted to see that cute girl of yours back home, huh? I see how that is~ I heard you guys were living together in the afternoon earlier. Must be great to have a girl roommate!" Jisuk gave a small weak smile. "So...do you like her too, jisuk?" He asked. Jisuk looked at him blankly. "I mean when you said no at the same time as Heejae, I assumed you liked her too or something. Ha ha ha! But what do I know!" He laughed as if to brush the question off as if it were a joke or something. Yet, Jisuk took it seriously, grew quiet and thought for a while and then spoke softly. "I don't know..." The guy stopped laughing, and questioned him."what do you mean you don't know?" Jisuk thoughtfully and honestly repeated,"I don't know." He continued,"I don't know why but the first time I saw her, I felt pain in my chest. I didn't know who she was at that time but somehow she seemed different from other girls. As we started living together, I got to know her better and I liked her. But..." He paused and then he continued again,"I don't know if I like her as a friend or as something else. " jisuk's coworker looked at him and sighed. "I think you're kind of dense." Jisuk stared blankly at him. Then the coworker spoke again. "Ok maybe I should ask you this: every time you see your "friend" do you feel your heart racing and your stomach full of butterflies with nervousness?" Jisuk nodded. He felt his body temperature rise everytime. "Do you feel happy just being around her?" Of course he did. "Do you ever have the urge to touch her like holding hands or hugs or something?" Yes. He would have those inclinations to do so when Heejung was acted adorable. "Ok then. How about when another guy is around her or near her or perhaps when he comes in physical contact to her? How does that make you feel?" Jisuk emitted an aura of displeasure. Of course he hated it! Jisuk answered sharply but passionately,"it annoys me as heck. I can't stand it let alone imagine it! It makes me want to hold her in my arms forever. It's painful that I can't breathe that she might be with someone else in the future. I get upset when I see her laugh or smile to another guy like that jerk Heejae. It irritates me that he saw another side of her I never saw before. When I see all those things, I unconsciously think to myself that she's mine and that I'm the only one who can love her. All I want is for her to not hate me." The coworker remained silent in surprise but he continued to listen to jisuk. He continued,"I know in my mind that she is her own person and that she has the freedom or right to love who she wants. I know she is not a property but...I want her to belong to me. Ahh...I'm so confused! Just what is this feeling? I hate Heejae for some reason and I like Heejung but what kind of like is it?" Jisuk sighed in confusion. The coworker chuckled a bit to himself but seriously answered. "Sounds to me, what you felt was jealously and possessiveness. I think you're romantically in love with this girl. So I suppose that makes Heejae your rival in love." Love? Romantic love? It was at that moment jisuk felt as if a part of himself was free and as if he reached an epiphany. His eyes were opened to that conclusion. Love. So that's what it was. He was in love with her since the beginning. With this realization, jisuk sensed a warmth feeling in his chest. Yes. He loved her. But there was still a mystery that was not still solved. Could he have known Heejung before he lost his memory and perhaps even loved her before then too? was Heejung connected to his lost memories? Maybe because he did feel that she was special to him the day he laid his eyes on her. He needed to oblivious coworker gave a look of assurance and grinned."so tell me now that you seem to know. What is she to you?" Jisuk confidently and sincerely replied,"she is the girl I love and whom my heart yearns for." Then jisuk slightly bowed his head and thanked the guy for helping him sort out his feelings. The coworker laughed and said it was nothing. "just helping out my fellow worker. But by the way, just for curiosity, what would you do to a guy who touches your friend?" Jisuk gave an evil grin. "I would make sure his he would regret the day he was born and bring him pain to the point it will give him PTSD." Then jisuk smiled brightly. "Or something like that." The coworker freaked out a bit. "You're joking right?" Jisuk curved his lips upward. "Yes. It's a joke." The coworker sighed. "Kind of." Muttered jisuk under his breath. Jisuk actually would have done something like that but he wouldn't take it all the way. He decided there and then that he would never hurt Heejung regardless of his childish jealousy or not. Whatever the case, he would try to do his best to cherish her. Even if she didn't feel that way about him, he would wait until he could make her fall in love with him. After all it was his desperate wish from the moment he met to be with her that day. To start, he would have to apologize for what he did today. He became glum thinking about it. While waiting the bus finally came. Jisuk and the coworker both got in the bus. When the bus reached jisuk's destination, jisuk thanked his coworker again and left towards home, the place where his beloved Heejung was.
At home, Heejung was getting ready to get her revenge. Her plan was to make jisuk apologize. Her ultimate plan: the silent treatment!...ok maybe it was stupid and childish but this was the only thing she thought of. Maybe she should do something else. As she was rethinking her stupid naive plan, she heard the door unlock and jisuk coming in the door saying that he's home. Jisuk came into the room where Heejung was. But she got up quickly and moved to the kitchen to make dinner. During her cooking, she glanced at jisuk who was siting in the sofa doing nothing with a solemn look upon his face. When it was time to eat dinner, jisuk tried to ask or talk to Heejung, but she ignored him. Even after dinner, she continued to ignore him. Every once in a while, she saw his hurt expression. At this, she wanted to stop this nonsense she was doing but no. She shouldn't get soft. She must continue! Despite jisuk's sad puppy expression, she decided to remain (stubbornly) strong. Finally when it was time to sleep, she didn't say goodnight to jisuk and hurriedly went to her room and slammed the door. Inside, she sighed and gave herself a high five. Now hopefully, jisuk would apologize. Satisfied, she hopped into bed and hoped her plan would be a success. However...knock knock. Heejung surprised turned her lights off and pretended to go to sleep. She held her breathe. Just then she heard a small sound of the door knob turning and the footsteps of jisuk entering her room. "Jisuk! Why is he in my room again?! Weirdo! I told him not to enter!" She thought worriedly to herself still pretending to sleep. She felt her bed creak as jisuk sat at the edge of her bed. For a while, he didn't do anything but look at her. "What did he come in here for? Just get out of my room!" Heejung thought impatiently. Then Heejung felt a warm sensation on her head repeatedly. It felt wonderful and comforting. It was jisuk petting her head. "What am I a kid?" She thought happily. She grinned to herself inside but still continued to feign ignorance. Then slowly, jisuk gently started to run his fingers down her soft brown long hair combing it. Finally, he put one a lock of hair behind her ear. As he delicately put her hair behind her ear, his fingers touched the edge of her ear, making Heejung feel a shiver crawl up her spine. She wanted to make a sound but she did her best to remain calm. (She should be an actress) Afterwards, jisuk finally spoke in a quiet but serious voice, "I'm sorry, Heejung. Please forgive me." Those words spoke to her loud, pure, sincere, honest, and clear. So he did apologize after all. Maybe he wanted to apologize to her all along. She started to feel stupid and guilty for putting on a childish act. Heejung inwardly sighed and wanted to come clean but she still felt awkward to wake up at that moment. Then she felt jisuk about to leave. But she still wanted him to stay, and without thinking she grabbed the end of his shirt. He turned to look. "Great! What do I do now?!" Heejung thought beating herself up in her mind. "Heejung?" Jisuk said a bit alarmed. Yet Heejung still pretended to sleep. "How long will this take?" She wanted it to end. Jisuk cautiously removed her hand away from his clothes and crouched down next to her bedside and laid his face next to hers. Soon jisuk whispered,"hey Heejung, did you know, I think you gained weight around your cheeks. You look like a chipmunk" That jisuk! How dare he! Jisuk chuckled. "I'm just kidding. You're actually...very beautiful." J-j-just what was he saying?! He continued,"I find you adorable and cute when you smile or when you do your best. It makes me want to be with you all the time. Just being around you brings me happiness" Thump thump thump. Heejung's heart was beating hard. How can he say those embarrassing things. "Honestly, I hate it when you are around other guys other than me. I can't stay calm at all and I lose my cool." Jisuk sighed. "I guess this feeling that I feel is jealousy. That's why I think I seem to hate Heejae, that nerd". Jisuk soon comes close to Heejung's ear. Heejung could feel jisuk's warm breath on her ear close enough that it speeded up her heart rate very quickly even more than before. Stay calm stay calm. She tried to breathe in and out naturally as possible. jisuk whispered with his buttery voice that reverberated and echoed in her sensitive ear. "I wish you for you to be mine." Then he spoke so softly that his words were barely audible which it seems as if he didn't want her to know his deep hidden secret. "I love you." Heejung's mind became blank. While she was in a daze, she felt a soft but warm sensation on her cheek. When his lips left her cheek she realized his lips hovered down to her neck. What is he doing?! How can she handle the situation? She felt time slowed down painfully. Just as she felt his soft lips barely graze against her skin, she accidentally uttered a slight sound. Jisuk froze and whispered ,"what the heck am i doing?". On man, what's going to happen now? She became anxious. Fortunately, she felt him get up and heard his footsteps distancing away from her, exiting her room and quietly closing the door. As soon as he left, Heejung immediately opened her eyes and sat up gasping while turning red. She flushed so that she could feel her whole body temperature rise while her heart pumped ? What was that? Just what did he say? Heejung couldn't believe it... He loves her? How can that be? She started to smile to herself and surprisingly it became clear to her that his secret confession made her happy. She remembered the kiss on her cheek and then his kiss on her neck. She put her hand on the side of her neck where he kissed her. That was... Still embarrassed and blushing, she tried to distract herself,"I should sue him for sexual harassment."...but she wouldn't. she didn't know how to describe her emotions. "How can I face him tomorrow?" She mumbled to herself.
