Chapter Ten: Significant to You
Kate snuggled closer to Castle and he pulled her closer, he kissed her on the head. "I love you so much Kate."
She smiled. "Go to sleep babe it's been a long day."
"You going to work tomorrow?"
"No, I'm going to stay with you one more day and then I'll let Martha take over but I just need to be with you tomorrow is that okay?"
"I'm thrilled to have you here Kate." She felt him pull her closer and she moved her hand to rub his chest.
Suddenly Alexis was at the side of the bed shaking her. "Kate, get up. Hey Kate I need you out here."
Kate rolled over. "Let me put some pants on and I'll be right out." She kissed Castle on the cheek. "I'll be right back babe, Alexis needs something." She got up and put on pants then went out closing the bedroom door. She saw Alexis standing in the kitchen. "What's up Alexis?"
"Ryan called me when you didn't answer he's on his way up, they just arrested Gina, she tried to get in the building. An officer in the garage arrested her trying to sneak in through the back of the garage."
"So why is Ryan coming here if they arrested her?"
"Something about you signing the complaint?"
She smiled. "Okay you can go on to bed if you want or stay up and keep me company, let me go tell your dad I'm going to be up for a while." She went back in the bedroom and leaned down close to Castle. "Hey Castle, Gina tried to sneak in the building through the garage and was arrested by an officer. Ryan is on his way over for me to sign the complaint, I'll be back to bed as soon as he leaves."
He kissed her. "Just don't stay away any longer than you have too."
She smiled. "As if I would babe." She walked out and joined Alexis at the table where coffee sat waiting. "Thank you."
Alexis smiled. "I figured you might need it. So why can't she just realize that dad is with you now and leave it alone?"
"I don't know hon, some people have a hard time letting go."
"Well even back when he briefly went back with her, which was very brief he was in love with you then I think she knew it. She was a distraction because you were with someone else at the time and he was hurting."
"But what he didn't know was I broke up with my boyfriend before I found out he was seeing Gina again, I was going to tell him I wanted to be with him."
Alexis nodded. "All the lost chances."
"We needed to wait but now that we are together this is my one and done."
Alexis smiled. "You do know he's never been in love before, I heard him tell Gram that he now knows he has never really been in love before you."
"No I didn't know that, I assumed your mom."
Alexis laughed. "My mom was because he's an honorable man and he married her because she was pregnant, he did what he thought was the right thing. With Gina he thought he was in love but it was more like a business arrangement."
Kate smiled. "I love your dad so much."
"I know because you challenge him and you don't take his crap."
Suddenly there was a knock at the door and Kate stood up and went to the door. "Hey, so how many detectives does it take to get a piece of papers signed?"
Ryan smiled. "I called Esposito to come with me, not my fault he had to drag Lanie out of bed."
Kate smiled and walked to the table where Alexis was pouring coffee for the guys and handed Lanie a glass of tea. Kate sat down at the table and looked at Ryan. "So tell me what happened?" She noticed they kept looking at her and Alexis smiled. "What are you all looking at?"
Lanie smiled. "Is that a hickey on you?"
She pulled the collar of the shirt that she had pulled on quickly together and smiled. "Very good chance it is, now can we talk about what happened?"
Ryan looked down at the paper in his hand. "Well I guess Gina saw the guard at the door so she went to the back entrance to the garage thinking that there would be no guard in there. She walked in the garage and to the steps to the main entrance, she was stopped by a guard and was asked for her ID to prove she lived in the building. She said she was here to visit a friend and was actually an invited guest and they had no right to detain her, at that time one of the door employees was called and he was asked about guests permitted to visit Castle and she wasn't on the list of course. She became combative toward the officer and immediately arrested then it was flagged with us and I was called so I picked her up and transferred her."
"Okay give it to me." She signed it and handed it back to Ryan. "I'm not coming in tomorrow but I'll be in the day after."
Lanie smiled. "Will you be getting out of bed tomorrow?"
Alexis smiled. "Okay this conversation is getting out of what I want to hear about my dad and his fiancée." She got up and kissed Kate on the top of her head. "See you tomorrow, love you."
Kate smiled. "Love you too hon."
Alexis started walking toward the steps. "Goodnight guys, don't keep her up too long or dad can't sleep."
Lanie looked at Kate. "You didn't answer my question."
"We have to eat at some point tomorrow to keep stamina up."
Ryan laughed. "Okay we're going now because this conversation just hit outside of my comfort zone too." She walked them to the door and smiled.
"Thanks guys." She locked up and then went back to the bedroom. She stripped down to just panties and climbed into bed. "Hey Rick, I'm back."
He pulled her close. "Oh baby, you feel good."
"Go to sleep, I have plans for you tomorrow while we're here alone."
The next morning Kate was in the kitchen getting breakfast ready when Alexis came down the steps. "Good morning Kate, something smells really good."
"I made breakfast Lex, help yourself."
"Thanks Kate, how's dad this morning? Has he been awake yet?"
"Not yet but he swears he can smell bacon in his sleep so we'll see."
"Paige and Jordan are picking me up this morning, dad said I shouldn't go to school alone and Jordan's dad drives every morning."
Before Kate could answer they heard Martha's voice coming down the steps. "Oh I thought I smelled something wonderful, Katherine did you cook this morning?"
"Yes Martha, is Nick awake yet there's plenty and I just made a fresh pot of coffee."
"He's awake and will be down in just a moment, Alexis told us what happened with Gina last night and she had to get you up. You should have come up to get us darling, not faced that alone."
Kate smiled. "Oh Martha, there was no need to wake you up. I didn't face anything alone, I had my girl here."
Alexis smiled. "Yes until they started talking about dad and Kate's sex life then I was done."
Castle came out from the direction of the office. "I woke up smelling bacon, it takes me back to another time that a certain beautiful detective stayed here."
He poured coffee then went to the table he kissed his mother and Alexis each on the head then kissed Kate on the lips. She smiled. "Sit down babe, I'll get your plate."
"I can get my own breakfast Kate."
She pushed him down in the chair. "And I can wait on you since I'm taking today off, I won't be here tomorrow."
He looked over at Martha. "You'll wait on me all day tomorrow, won't you mother?"
She laughed. "You're kidding right? I'm not Katherine, I love you son but no I'm not waiting on you."
Nick walked in the kitchen. "Does that mean you aren't getting mine either Martha?"
"Do I look like your maid? You know where everything is Nicholas."
Kate smiled. "Get your coffee Nick and sit down, after I get Castle's plate I can get yours."
He laughed. "I'm just kidding Kate, no one goes into a relationship with Martha Rogers not knowing what the deal is, and I'll get my own. It smells wonderful, so we'll do clean up since you cooked."
Kate put the plate in front of Rick and then smiled. "I won't argue with you on that one Nick."
Alexis' phone beeped so she got up. "That was Jordan, he and his dad are coming to the door to get me, so I need to go."
Kate looked at Castle. "Do you know Jordan and his dad?"
"She's been friends with Jordan for about 6 months but no I've never met them."
She nodded. "I'll be going to the door with you Alexis, your dad has never met them."
Alexis smiled. "You are worse than dad but okay." Alexis opened the door and smiled at her friend and his dad. "Jordan this is my dad's fiancée Detective Kate Beckett."
"Kate this is Jordan and his dad."
Kate smiled her put her hand out. "Officer Newton, I didn't know you had a son Alexis' age."
He smiled. "Nice to see you again Detective Beckett, how's Javier doing?"
"He's doing great, well now that I know who Alexis will be with I won't have to do a background check and everything." She smiled and kissed Alexis on the cheek. "You have a great day Lex, if you need a ride home you call me or Martha."
Alexis laughed. "Yes mother, geez Kate I'm not 5 years old but I know you have to be careful. Bye dad, Gram, Uncle Nick."
Kate walked back to the table and Castle smiled. "You are finally worse than me, you have told me forever to lay off of her and let her breathe and now you are finally being more smothering than me. Welcome to motherhood."
Kate laughed. "I did sound like a mother back there, didn't I?"
Precinct
Gates walked in the interrogation room. "Okay Gina, this is the deal. You have to stay away from Detective Beckett, Richard Castle, Martha Rogers and Alexis Castle that include workplace, schools and anywhere they might be."
She smiled. "I work for the publisher that publishes Richard's books so that might be a bit tough."
"I've talked to Black Pawn, seems he's more important to them than you are. I told them that I was acting on his behalf and either you were out or he would switch to another publisher and because of what you did last night, yes I can do that."
"So you basically told them to fire me?"
"No, they chose him over you. You are not permitted to be around him and you caused this yourself."
"He had to see she's not right for him, he'll eventually see that you know? He changes women like underwear."
Captain Gates cleared her throat. "You acted in an unlawful manner to try and make it happen, if you think that Mr. Castle is like that then you should have just waited. It's not up to me to make any determination like that. Now you won't get any jail time right now but if you go near any of the people I mentioned within 1500 feet then yes you will serve jail time. My advice to you would be to let him go and find someone else."
Gina looked at Captain Gates and smiled. "But you don't understand, he dumped her for me once before and he'll do it again."
"I don't think you understand me, go near them and you go to jail because you'll be breaking the law. Call, text or email any of them and you'll be breaking the law and you'll do time. For some reason I just don't see someone like you making it behind bars. I would make a deal with your boss for a referral to another publishing company and then I would get away from it all."
Gina narrowed her eyes at the captain then spoke. "Can I go now?"
"Yes you can go now, and remember 1500 feet."
At the loft
Castle was laying on his bed and Kate was kissing her way up his legs, he looked down toward her. "So we're completely alone?"
"Yes, until late this afternoon we are all alone. You saw Alexis leave for school. Then after cleaning up the kitchen this morning, Nick and Martha had to go to the studio for her classes and for him to work on a new play."
He smiled as she continued kissing her way up his legs torturing him, she was at his calves. Her long hair was tickling his legs. "And I guess you had an idea of how to fill this time?"
"Oh yes I do and I'm hoping you feel up to it, but from what I can see from here you are very up to it."
He smiled. "So how long do I have to wait for you to marry me?"
She looked up at him. "We just got engaged but not long if you don't want to wait, it depends on what kind of wedding we have and how elaborate we make it. Now can we continue with my plans for today?"
"Oh sure, your plan for today seems to be something I would be very interested in."
She kept moving up his leg kissing him. "I promise not to wear you out too much Rick."
"You have my permission to wear me out as much as you want to all day long, we can take a nap later."
She moved up his leg and then past his hard penis and started kissing up stomach and on his chest, she felt him shiver and he rubbed her back. She stopped and looked up. "Want something babe?"
"Me? No nothing."
"Good because I'm a little busy at the moment."
He laughed a little. "You do know that you're killing me just a bit right now, right?"
She raised up from his neck and smiled. "It's called anticipation Rick, we are going to really need that nap later." She kissed him and then went to his neck on the other side and then started kissing her way down the other side of his body. "Have I ever told you how much I love your body Rick?"
"No, actually you haven't. I'm not even close to being in shape so I don't see how you could."
"It's exactly for that reason, you are unique and just so you. I mean different than other guys and down to earth sexy." She got down to where he wanted her most and started moving her hand up and down, she started with a lick but then once he felt her mouth around him he almost came off the bed.
"Oh wow baby, that's incredible."
She pulled her mouth off of him and smiled. "Not yet, you can still speak." She put her mouth back on him and started sucking him again until he was panting and couldn't speak and he pulled her up his body. He pulled her until she was sitting on him. He sat up and pulled her to sit with him.
She looked down and smiled. "This is perfect Rick, like you planned it out." She slid down on him and started riding him slowly but then picked up speed. He pulled her forward and kissed her while she was riding him until she tore her mouth from his and pulled his head toward her chest. "Oh Rick, yes harder."
He shoved up into her as she was pushing down on him. He groaned. "Oh baby, yes." Suddenly he felt her clinch around him signally her release and he let go, she could actually feel wave after wave of his release. They just fell over in the bed sideways and went to sleep covered only by the sheet.
When she woke up she looked at his clock by the bed and it was noon. She laughed. "Hey Rick, it's noon don't you think we should shower and eat some lunch?"
He laughed. "Maybe but I'm having way too much fun being wrapped up in you right now."
"Well maybe we can get untangled because right now we are like a big pretzel."
He laughed. "Does that mean what we did was the naked pretzel?"
"We did the naked something but right now I'm sweaty and hungry so we are going to take a shower so get your sexy naked ass out of this bed."
"Well if you insist, let's go shower and get some lunch." He followed her into the bathroom and watched while she got the shower ready. "So after lunch did you have any plans?"
"Check to see if we have any messages and if not then maybe a movie or maybe more of what we enjoyed this morning. I don't know about you but I had a really great time." She stepped into the shower and looked over at him with a smile on her face. "You comin Castle?"
He laughed after hearing that from her so much at crime scenes he never expected to hear it from a naked Beckett in his bathroom. "Yes, be right there."
They showered and while Kate was fixing lunch he brought his laptop in and sat at the counter. "I thought you were checking messages babe?"
"I am, they get stored on here too. You don't mind do you?"
"No if you don't mind me listening?"
"We're engaged, no secrets." He hit the button and then joined her in the kitchen.
"Mr. Castle, this is Captain Gates I'm leaving this message on your phone and also on Detective Beckett's phone. I've talked to your former publisher she is to stay no less than 1500 feet from you, your mother, daughter and Detective Beckett or she will be arrested. I talked to your publishing company, they will be calling you when they decide who your next publisher will be. Take care Mr. Castle and we'll see you when you come back."
Kate look at him. "Wow, I guess she's been kicking ass for you."
Next message clicked on. Mr. Castle this is Todd at Black Pawn and we have a new publisher for you to meet with but this is a meeting for your approval. You are welcome to bring someone with you if you would like, I know you're still healing after your accident. Of course we've notified Paula and I'll be in the meeting. Call me back with confirmation as of right now we'll see you tomorrow morning at 9:00."
He clicked the computer off and decided to let her off the hook immediately. "I'll take mother, she'll want to go check things out."
Kate stopped what she was doing and stepped between him and the counter. Kate reached up and put her arms around his neck and kissed him. "We're engaged Rick, I'll call Gates. Besides if this new publisher is a woman we need to get an understanding right off that she's your publisher but I'm going to be your wife. Or to put it the short way, hands off my man." She trailed her hand down his chest. "Now let's eat lunch while I check my messages and then let's go take a nap."
Her messages were the same one from Captain Gates and then from the guys and Lanie. They ate lunch, made love again and then he cuddled her close to take a nap.
