Chapter 10: The Beginning
they say all things have a beginning and all things have an end, yet sometimes things are everlasting
There Jetalunus was outside the manor enjoying the rain. It had been storming for the last two days and she couldn't help breathe in the cool weather. It had been ages, trapped for so long. Caged. Standing in the backyard with the rain pouring down her hair. Her relaxation was interrupted as a visitor approached.
"What do you want?" Jetalunus voiced.
"You can't avoid me forever." Chris shot back.
"Sure about that"
"Melin-"
"There's no Melinda anymore. She died long ago. A sacrifice some of us had to make. Losing ourselves" Looking over her shoulders.
"You think I didn't lose anything. You were not the only one." Chris shot back.
"Tell me famous time traveler... what did you loose?" Jetalunus
"You know what. We pushed too far"
"Wyatt made that choice" Jetalunus said.
"Oh yeah and looked what it cost him. His heritage and his family. I spent all that time saving him and our future. It was all for nothing,"
"Maybe you saved the wrong Halliwell," Jetalunus responded.
"Yeah maybe" Chris said softly walking over to his sister. Placing his hands on her shoulders. She signed "I am still your big brother and I'll always protect you. I know it doesn't seem like I have but I'm sorry I let them do that to you. Those were dark times."
"The dark times have barely begun" Jetalunus said disappearing with the light.
"Stubborn isn't she" Pandora voiced behind him, resting on the doorframe.
Chris turned around and responded. "A lot like our mother than she thinks"
"What are we going to do cousin" Pandora asked.
"Only ALL the Halliwell magic can fix this"
"Travel back in time?"
"No, things are too complicated now. Even the smallest thing can alter anything." Chris said trailing off. "Especially with those two disappearing. No telling what they are doing," Chris finished, walking back in the house.
Pandora sighed looking up at the moon. Watching the shapes changed. "Jetalunus" she quietly whispered. Turning into the house and waving the doors shut behind her.
