I just wanted to clarify something just in case it was confusing. The transformation that Pit is going through is kind of like Link to Wolf Link just minus the free will.
Chapter 9: Finding the Twilight Realm
"How do you get to the Twilight Realm?" Marth asked Link and Zelda.
"There's a secret mirror close to Lake Hylia." Zelda answered. "It's right around here." She pointed to Lanayru's Cave.
"Thank you."
"You sure you don't want us to come?" Link asked.
"Yeah. If worse came to worse, I wouldn't want you guys at risk."
"I understand. Tell Pit I said hi." Marth nodded.
He started walking. Bowser followed. They were both silent. It was going to be journey to Lake Hylia, and time was not on their side.
- With Zant-
Zant was watching Pit struggle through his crystal ball. The darkness had now reached his hip. Ganondorf approached his minion.
"How is he?" He asked.
"Not much has changed." Zant replied. "Trying to get out of his chains … again."
"Stubborn, isn't he?"
"I'll say, but it won't last long." The Twili and the Gerudo laughed evily.
- With Marth and Bowser -
They made it to Lake Hylia. It took about a half-hour to get there.
"Alright here's the cave." Marth sighed. Bowser nodded.
They entered the cave. It was beautiful to say the least. The water was clear and the grass was green.
"Now where would I hide a mirror?" Marth asked.
The lake started to shake for a few seconds then stopped. All of the sudden the spirit Lanayru burst out of the water. He seemed irritated.
"Who dares to come into my cave unannounced?" He growled.
"It's me, Marth." Marth stated. "You know me. I train with Link sometimes out on the land outside of your cave." Lanayru looked at Bowser.
"Oh don't worry. I'm not here for trouble." Bowser stated. "I'm helping Marth, not Ganondorf this time."
"I find that hard to believe." The spirit claimed.
"He is." Marth confirmed. "Trust me."
"Than what brings you here?" Lanayru asked.
"We're actually here for Ganondorf" Bowser replied. Lanayru's glare sharpened.
"He kidnapped my friend. Palutena wants us to save him." Marth explained
"I thought I saw him carrying and angel. I suppose you're looking for …"
"Yes, the second Twilight mirror." Lanayru nodded.
"It's over there." Lanayru pointed to a set of bushes hiding a cave. "In that cave lies the mirror."
"Thank you." Marth and Bowser walked towards the cave.
"Wait." They stopped and looked at Lanayru. "You may need these." He gave them pendants. "These pendants will protect you from any side effects of the Twilight Realm. I know you may not suffer from the effects Bowser, but I would like to take a precaution, you understand." Bowser nodded.
"Thank you again." Marth thanked. The duo turned back to the cave and entered it. The mirror was waiting for them. They activated the mirror. 'I'm coming Pit.' Marth declared. 'We will get you out of there."
Yes Lanayru has a cave within his cave. I forgot what I was originally going to do. They would have had the map regardless, but I may have had the mirror outside of the cave somewhere.
