i don't own any thing that has to do with my stories except the name of Allen's clan
I really have nothing to say about my absent in uploading any new chapter just that I now have a laptop to work with and hopefully my headaches will allow me to type and work. shadow haunt
While the chaos was brewing in Konoha, a shimmering ebony diamond sphere burst through the ground, screeching as it arose from the earth in a mist covered clearing. The nearby wildlife fled at the sight and sound of the hovering monstrosity that reeked of blood lust and death. Within a few moments, it opened up, and spat out a older, gray skinned man along with a bloodied and bruised young woman, both unconscious. The gate faded into the background, almost without a trace, waiting to be called on again by its master.
Suddenly, a faint sound of trained feet hitting the branches of the trees was heard around the edges of the clearing. Leaping down from their high perch, the group of unknown shinobi surrounded the unconscious pair. Glancing down the men took a few moments to take in the unusual appearance of the pair. The signs of torture where startlingly glaring on the female while the males was more subtle, but the fading scars and signs of starvation became apparent to all who cared to take a closer look. Some of the wounds on them had barely healed while others were still gaping open and bleeding heavily, staining everything in its path with a dark crimson sheen. The familiar stench of copper that came with the blood practically oozed off the pair. The strange thing was that both of them had a row of dark, branded scars, seven of them, across their forehead, giving them an almost demonic appearance. Did they belong to a cult of some sort?
Deeming it safe to move them, the leader signalled to the rest of his team to take the unknown victims back to their base. However, Just as two of the members started to pick them up, a swarm of pale shadows engulfed the small team of Chunin. Even against overwhelming odds the team fought on, but there efforts were in vain. One by one their lives were ended by the mob of shades; the leader was the last of them left. The last thing he saw was the tortured bodies were being dragged away from him before a flash of white ended his life.

Waking up in a cold cell with a body next to her was a new experience for Allen. And one she wasn't eager to repeat any time soon. Searching the cell for any info about where she was, she concluded that she was no longer in Konoha. The walls were damp with morning dew, and the air reeked with a musty earth scent. There was nothing else worth noting, nothing but iron bars and her cellmate in the room.
Deciding to take a better look at her new companion, she was startled to find a young child around the age of eight with pure white hair that was drawn into a pony tail at the nape. Taking in rest of the child she was shocked to find him extremely malnourished and sickly to the point of death.
Soft thumps heralded the arrival of their caretaker who, with a reluctant air, placed down a small plate of food, and then hurriedly left, sneering in disgust at the boy in the cell with her. Bringing the plate closer, Allen began to gently shake the child to awareness.
She wasn't expecting to be thrown to the floor with a dagger, made of what suspiciously looked like bone to the throat. The once harmless boy stared with a crazed look in his eye at Allen like he had never seen another person before. Slowly, he drew away from her to sit in corner, dagger gripped tightly in his hand and ready to kill at a moment's notice.
