Hey guys. This chapter isn't very long but I wanted to get one posted by tonight! Hope you like it!
"What happened?" Dad asked me.
"She started it Daddy," I told him," She purposely bumped into me causing me to drop everything. I did tell her she better be glad I had a broken ankle though. She started talking crap to me. I asked her why she hated me and she said I always got everything she wanted. Then she slapped me. I grabbed her arm and well the rest is history."
"Well the school called me. They are going to handle it when you get back from Christmas break," he told me.
"Great," I said sourly.
"Ana, I know it wasn't just you starting a fight, but you can't just fight someone like that…"
I look at him like he has two heads. "So, you are telling me if someone slapped you, or even TRIED to slap you… You would just... what... walk away?" I asked him.
He sat there for a minute, "Ok Annie, you got me." He smiled and gave me a hug, "Let's just see what the school has to say."
"Ok," I tell him.
"I am proud you stood up for yourself," he finally told me after sitting there for a minute.
He gets up and heads to the kitchen to make supper. I hobble to the kitchen to help.
During supper my dad tells me about one time in high school when my mom got into a fight. A girl thought she was going to bully my mom and my mom wasn't having it. She tried embarrassing my mom in front of the whole school but it back fired. She ended up getting embarrassed. She tried to attack my mom but again my mom won. My mom was very petite and short, so a lot of people underestimated her. After that day though, dad said no one tried to mess with her. Apparently she was pretty bad ass.
I offer to do the dishes after supper since dad did most of the cooking. As I placed the last plate in the cabinet, I hear my phone ding.

I smile and shake my head wondering what he is up to.
I grab my jacket and slip on my shoe. I walk out to the mail box and inside sits a red heart shaped piece of paper.
To: Ana
"If you're a bird, I'm a bird."
It's almost here… Our first Christmas together. Want to play a game?
CLUE #1
For a bird to fly it must have a wing…
Walk back to the porch and look on the _.
I laugh and walk towards the house. I walk over to the swing and see a bright yellow heart shaped piece of paper.
CLUE #2
I told you before that I used to play ball…
Go back inside and make your way to the _.
I laugh again at this cheesy but cute game he has managed to get set up all the way from Aspen.
I head towards the hall and see my dad standing there smiling. He hands me a lime green heart shaped piece of paper.
I give him a "Im going to get you for not telling me about this little game" look then smile at him.
CLUE #3
I was surprised today when I saw you throw a punch…
Now to the place where you eat _.
I quickly as I can get to the kitchen and see a bright pink heart.
CLUE #4
Being without you on our first Christmas is going to be WACK!
Your last clue is out _.
I giggle and walk out back. I open the door and I am speechless.
Standing there looking amazing is Christian holding a bouquet of roses.
"How… What…" is all I could say with tears filling my eyes.
"Surprise," he says walking over to me.
"I can't believe you are here," I say burying my face in his chest.
He kisses my forehead and grabs something out of his back pocket.
It's a blue heart shaped piece of paper.
"So… are you ready for your last clue?" he asks.
I had already forgotten all about the clue when I saw him. I quickly grab the paper and read it.
I'm aware this is cheesy in every way.
Head to the place you go to at the end of the _.
I grab his hand and make my way to my bedroom. I open the door and see a suitcase lying on my bed opened and empty. Next to it is a toboggan, gloves, and a scarf that matches. I walk closer and see and envelope. I open it and inside are 2 plane tickets.
My eyes shoot up to Christians.
"What?" I say.
"How would you feel about coming to Aspen with me and my family for Christmas?"
"Are you serious?" I asked shocked then unsure, "What about my dad?" I would never leave my dad alone for Christmas.
"I am going too," my dad walks in my room, "I will stay until the 27th then come home. You can stay until they come back if you want."
"Oh my gosh! I can't believe it," I hug my dad then Christian.
"You better get to packing. We leave for Sea-Tac in an hour," Christian tells me.
"Oh wow… ok," I go to my closet and start grabbing outfits.
"I can't believe you surprised me like this," I tell Christian.
"Well I can't imagine leaving you here alone any longer," he smirks at me.
I give him a look.
"First Jackson, then fighting Sara… I thought I might need to come to your rescue," he says.
"I'm sorry about the Jackson thing Christian… Really," I tell him.
"I know Ana," he sighs, "I just worry about you."
.
.
45 minutes later, I am packed and ready to go. I'm not really worried about forgetting anything. I know Kate will have extra of everything.
"Did you tell Kate I was coming?" I ask Christian in the car on the way to the airport.
"Are you kidding me?" He laughs, "It would not have been a surprise if I told her."
"You're right," I agree with him, "Wait… So Kate still doesn't know I am coming? She hasn't called or text me yet so Im assuming…"
"Nope," he smiles, "It's sort of her surprise too. She has been worried about you just as much as me."
"You know she is going to kill you for not telling her but also probably not kill you since you are brining me," I laugh.
We follow my dad through the airport. Christian grabs my hand and holds it the whole way. I steal glances up at him and just smile. I can't believe how lucky I am to have someone like him.
.
.
.
"Ana," Christian lightly shook my arm.
"Hmmm…" I mumble opening my eyes to the most beautiful pair of grey eyes I had ever seen.
"We are her," he tells me.
"Ok," I stretch real big and start to stand.
"I think we better wait until everyone is past us. I don't want you getting run over with your ankle and all,' Christian decides.
"Good idea," I tell him making myself comfortable again, "I still can't believe Im here."
"Well, believe it babe," he says. A few minutes later he grabs my hand helping me up.
They grabbed our things and towards Christian's parent's house.
It's late when we arrive, so we go straight to our rooms. Christian says he will bunk with Elliot tonight and I can stay in his room. Tomorrow, when Kate finds out I am here, we can share a room. Christian had to assure my dad that he was not going to make any surprise visits tonight. I can only imagine how red my cheeks looked when he said that.
My dad heads off to bed and Christian shows me where everything was. He had a bathroom in his room. I was glad because I could really use a hot bath after the day I have had.
"Well, do you need anything before I head to bed?" Christian asks me yawning.
"I think I will go grab a glass of water before taking a bath and going to bed," I tell him.
"I will show you where the kitchen is," he says leading the way.
He grabs a glass out of the cabinet and gets me some water.
"Thank you," I say sitting down at the breakfast bar.
"You're welcome," he says taking a seat beside me.
I look at him again and just smile.
"Im one lucky girl," I tell him.
"That's where you have it backwards," he says turning in his chair towards me grabbing my hands, "I am the lucky one."
I think my heart melts just listening to him.
"Since you can't really go sledding, me and Elliot planned on taking you and Kate to on the jet skis tomorrow,' he tells me, "Does that sound ok?"
"As long as I'm with you," I say, "Just about anything sounds good."
Christian grabs my hand and leads me back towards the bedroom when I can't stop yawning.
"Sweet dreams Ana," he tells me before kissing me with his soft lips.
"Goodnight Christian, sweet dreams," I tell him back and watch him walk to what I assume is Elliot's room.
I grab a few things out of my bag and head towards the tub. Time to soak in some hot water and think about this crazy, hectic, wonderful day I have had.
Soooo…. What did you guys think? Christian is acting like a big softy huh! Hope you enjoyed! Going to try my best to have another chapter posted before the weekend!
