First of all, I'm so sorry that this chapter came out late. I have to take a short semester and the work distracted me from completing this chapter. And it was bad enough that I had writer's block as well. Enjoy.

Flashback, 9 years ago
In a classroom at an elementary school, lunchtime has just started. A raven-haired boy with his bangs going across his left eye diagonally, has just taken out a bento box when he sees something- or rather- a girl with medium-length brunette hair, sitting on a bench, looking lonely while reading a book. Feeling a bit sorry, he goes out of the classroom, and then the building. He then approaches the person.
"Um. Hello?"
The girl was startled as she jumped a bit from the bench.
"Yes?"
"Sorry for surprising you. I thought you were a bit lonely here,"
"I'm not lonely. I'm just waiting for my brother. He has something to do,"
"I see. Still, may I join you?"
The girl thought for a bit before she answers.
"Well, if you want,"
Managed the gain her permission, the boy sits down next to her. The boy decides to make small talk while the girl waits for her brother.
"What's your name? I'm Daisuke," Daisuke smiled.
"I'm Yuuko,"
Yuuko went back to reading her book. There was silence for a brief moment before Daisuke decides to keep up with the conversation.
"So, Yuuko. What book are you reading?"
"I'm revising my Maths for a quiz my class is having later on,"
"You're quite studious, aren't you?"
"I don't want to fail. That's all,"
"I see. Can I help you then?"
Yuuko ignores the question. Instead, she looks at Daisuke and observes him for a bit.
"Uh… Is there anything on my face?"
"When I look at you, you don't look like pure Japanese. Are you a mixed nationality?"
"That's right," Before the conversation continues…
"Sorry for making you wait, sister,"
Daisuke looks at the source of the voice, only to find himself somewhat surprised to see that the person looks exactly the same as Yuuko. He got off the bench to face this person closely. Yuuko got off the bench as well and stands beside
"What too you so long, Hideyoshi?"
"Sorry, sister. It took longer than I thought,"
Daisuke realized something.
"Ah. Are you two wins?"
"Yes. Although, both of us are in different classes," Yuuko answered.
"Sister, who is this?" Hideyoshi asked. Daisuke, though, decided to answer instead.
"I'm Daisuke. I saw your sister just sitting alone, revising before a quiz,"
"Oh. She always does that all the time, regardless of where she studies. It's kind of odd to me,"
That comment earned Hideyoshi an elbow to the ribs from his twin sister. Hideyoshi goes down on his knees, clutching his backside while Daisuke looks on sweat-dropped.
"So does that mean I'm weird too?" Yuuko towers over Hideyoshi.
"No. That's not what I mean," Daisuke decided to stop the mini-fight and put things back in order.
"All right. Now calm down, you two. Let's not fight. How about we all have lunch and have a pleasant conversation," Daisuke raises up his bento while smiling.
"That's… a good idea," Hideyoshi stands up while Yuuko nodded. As soon as they started lunch, it marked the moment their friendship started.
Present Day
"Ever since then, we always hang out with each other. Until he suddenly disappeared from our lives,"
For some reason or another, Akihisa is speaking nonsense. Although it seems he is saying gibberish, there was something in the lines that Akihisa said such as "Why must HIdeyoshi's childhood friend come back?" and "Now I really don't have a chance". What made this really astounding is that everyone didn't notice this and still focusing on Hideyoshi.
"You three were really close, weren't you?" Himeji said.
"Yeah. Although, Daisuke is a lot closer to Yuuko than I,"
"I wouldn't say so, Hideyoshi," Yuuko disagrees.
"But, sis. Since I'm usually busy, he would always interact with you. In fact, I remember that you were looking at Daisuke while you were-"
Yuuko immediately slaps her mouth on Hideyoshi's hand. Though the other Class F members sees this as a typical reaction from Yuuko considering how much she despises their class, Shouko and Aiko sees this very differently. They were about to ask her a question when a man with medium length red hair, dressed in a suit and tie, bursts in and went straight to the reception desk.
"Excuse me. Was there a boy named Daisuke Ahmad taken here?" The man said.
"Yes. But he's now undergoing surgery to inflate one of his lungs back," the nurse replies.
"How long is the surgery?"
"It may be finished within an hour or two,"
The man nodded in reply and said his gratitude towards the nurse for being co-operative. After observing the scene, Shouko gets off her seat and approaches the man.
"Excuse me, sir. Do you know Daisuke?"
"Yes. How do you-"
Yuuji looks up at the man. He immediately recognizes who he is.
"Hey, I know you. You're Watamaru Kinoue. You were once a wrestler in New Japan before you had to retire due to a neck injury,"
The man nodded while smiling.
"You must be his friends. Here let me formally introduce myself," Watamaru hands Shouko his business card. Everyone gathers around the card to have a look.
"You're a scout now, Kinoue-san?"
"That's right. I was the one who found Daisuke,"
After everyone introduced themselves, they began talking to each other. Watamaru explains how he found Daisuke. It seems that he found Daisuke on a whim when he was vacationing in Malaysia more than a year ago. There was a wrestling seminar held in a gym in the capital city and it so happens that Daisuke caught Watamaru's eye in terms of intensity, determination and tenacity.
Almost immediately, Watamaru contacted his bosses to have a look at Daisuke. Watamaru then approached Daisuke to have a tryout with New Japan. According to Watamaru, Daisuke was ecstatic. It was a tough negotiation to bring Daisuke to Japan thanks to his parents. Luckily, negotiations succeeded and Daisuke in the end, managed to impress Watamaru's bosses.
Daisuke, however, requested to remain in Malaysia for another year to toughen up for New Japan's training regiment. New Japan grants Daisuke's wish as they felt Daisuke was a bit too young to be training with them. After hearing the story, some things finally made sense to Yuuko.
"So that's why he's back here. He was back in Malaysia all this time? But why was he there?"
Seeing as the surgery might take a while, some of the gang decides to do their own thing for now. Yuuji went to the bathroom, but he was followed by Shouko, much to his annoyance. Kouta decides to get some pictures of nurses, with Aiko following him. Strangely, he was Ok with this. Of course there is a possibility that Aiko will tease him as usual. On the brightside, if he ever gets nosebleeds, doctors can get to him fast.
For Akihisa, he was forced to follow both Minami and Himeji to the cafeteria. He cried over the fact that he's going to be broke once again. Hideyoshi also followed them, leaving Yuuko and Watamaru alone as they sat from a distance.
"Yuuko, right?"
"What? Oh… Yes?" Yuuko was startled.
Watamaru tilts his head back with his eyes closed and arms folded.
"When I told Daisuke about the offer of wrestling in Japan, he tried to convince his parents with full determination. At first, I thought that it was his dream to wrestle in Japan. I was actually not wrong. It is his dream. But he confessed that there was another reason why he was happy to go back to Japan,"
"What was that reason?"
Watamaru opens his eyes to look at Yuuko.
"He wants to see you again. After his tryout, he asked me to find where you live and where you go to school,"
Yuuko looks at Watamaru. She was so surprised at this revelation that she remained speechless.
"It took me a few months, but a friend of mine who works in this area told me that you live here and went to Fumizuki Academy. It was fortunate that New Japan has a dojo in this area as well. It was New Japan's best interest for trainees under the age of 18 to get proper education before training full-time. In the end, Daisuke chooses to go to Fumizuki. I don't know about how you and him are connected, but one thing is clear. He misses you so much,"
Yuuko slumps forward. It was too much to take in after what she has to go through today. Then, a surgeon comes into the emergency area.
"Excuse me. Can I see the people that were waiting for Daisuke Ahmad?"
Watamaru and Yuuko immediately stand up.
"Yes. That is us," Watamaru said.
"The surgery is a success without any obstacles. Daisuke is really lucky that he didn't have internal bleeding, as that usually happens to someone who got hit by a car,"
"C-can we see him now?" Yuuko said.
"Of course. He is in room 513 on the 5th floor. If you take this path to the lobby and take the right turn there, you can take the elevator to the 5th floor,"
"Thank you," Yuuko bowed. With that, the surgeon left.
"You go ahead and see Daisuke. I'll look for your friends," Watamaru left the area as well. Yuuko decides to go ahead for now. A few minutes later, she arrived at the doorstep of room 513. She enters the room and sees an unwelcome sight. Daisuke is lying down on the bed unconscious with an oxygen mask over his nose and mouth. She got closer to him. Once she did, she puts her head by the bedside.
"You idiot. Why did you do this to yourself? It should've been me. In fact, I should've got out of the way myself,"
Once again, the waterworks starts to flow from Yuuko's eyes.
"I'm sorry, Daisuke. I really am. I'm sorry for pushing you away. I'm sorry for ignoring you. I'm sorry for everything," Yuuko puts her head into her arms. She was like that for a few minutes.
After that, Daisuke's left arm starts to move towards Yuuko and touch one of her own arms. She felt it and immediately look at Daisuke's face. She couldn't believe it. Daisuke's eyes started to flutter open. Once they are fully wide, he turns to his left to look at Yuuko. He then gingerly removes the oxygen mask with his other arm.
"Don't worry… I am here… I still am," Daisuke smiled a little bit. After hearing that phrase, Yuuko immediately got on the bed and embraced Daisuke softly. Daisuke return the embrace and they remain in that position for quite a while.
To Be Continued
For those who are wondering about my inspiration of my OC: Watamaru Kinoue is a play of an ex-wrestler by the name of Wataru Inoue, who legitimately had to retire due to a neck injury. He is still working in an office role of New Japan Pro Wrestling.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this chapter. Stay tuned for the next one. :)
