Ch. 8-The Mystery Revealed

Canada stared in disbelief at his former guardian, saying nothing for what seemed to be an eternity.

England brought them back?! He brought back their current enemy?! And he's treating it as a simple accident?!

"N-now C-Canada it sh-shouldn't b-be all th-that bad…r-right?" England stuttered, trying to save himself, until he suddenly felt something very…off with Canada's emotional aura as his tail drooped and his ears drooped even lower than usual. "Oh bugger…I'm a dead man now, aren't I?"

"You…" the younger nation started quietly with a growl, then looked at England with fires of rage in his usually-calm indigo pools, his fur bristling in similar anger. "YOU TEA SIPPING, SCONE BURNING MORON!"

"CHIGIIIIII!" Romano screamed for everyone as he, Spain, Austria, Prussia, and Gilbird all ducked behind Hungary, scared out of their wits by this now enraged, but usually quiet, Canadian as England crouched in fear at the rant that now followed the initial outburst.

"WHY DIDN'T YOU BOTHER TO DOUBLE CHECK FOR ANY CONSEQUENCES IN CASE YOU MESSED UP ON THAT KIND OF SPELL IN THE FIRST PLACE BEFORE TRYING IT OUT WHILE I WAS IN THE ROOM?! IS IT ANY WONDER WHY PRACTICING THAT JUNK IS ILLEGAL IN MY COUNTRY?! I SWEAR YOU TRY TO CHEAT WITH YOUR BAD COOKING USING THAT KIND OF HOCUS POCUS!…"

While most of the cats that heard his rant were either shocked or scared, Yellowfang was laughing her heart out as he went on and on with both telling off the Brit for his screw-up and listing his faults all at once. "When he said he can rant for hours, he wasn't kidding!"

"Yellowfang this is serious!" Spottedleaf scolded the older medicine cat once she recovered from her shock. "It's thanks to his mistake that the spiritual balance has been upset!"

"Alright, alright," she grumbled.

"…I'M NOW HAVING SERIOUS DOUBTS ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE OF BEING AN EMPIRE TWICE OVER! YOU IDIOT! I WONDERED WHY FRANCE STILL TRIES TO PICK A FIGHT WITH A MORON LIKE YOU AND SUCCEEDS EVERY SINGLE TIME!…"

"Sheesh when America warned me about this I thought he was joking!" Prussia commented in surprise as Canada continued his rant and Gilbird hid in his fur, badly quivering. "Now I see why he tries to keep from making an argument with Birdie too often!"

"W-what did he say his record was again?" Austria asked nervously as Spain and Romano crouched low behind him, shaking like a pair of leaves.

"Three hours…and it would've been longer if ol' Eyebrows there didn't stop him…You know, I think I'll let West know that Birdie's bark can be way worse than his bite since he did awesomely beat us back in the Word Wars…Gott im Himmel…"

If it was possible for a cat to pale, Austria sure did with the answer he got, also making a mental note to stay off Canada's bad side as the said Nation soon went into a few lines regarding England's treatment of his former colonies.

"…AND IT'S NO WONDER WHY MOST OF YOUR NOW FORMER COLONIES DEMANDED THEIR INDEPENDENCE FROM YOU OR SEALAND BEARS A GRUDGE AND CALLS YOU A JERK AFTER YOU ABANDONED HIM TO BE ADOPTED BY SWEDEN! I'M NOW VERY SURPRISED THAT I WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO ASKED NICELY!…"

"I think this needs to stop now," Hungary suggested calmly once her initial shock has subsided. "Some of us Nations still have things our bosses need us to do while Canada needs to deal with the enemy and help the Clans."

"You're right Hungary," Bluestar replied with a nod as she walked up to the ranting Nation and gently placed her tail on Canada's shoulder, causing him to stop in mid-sentence. "I'm afraid the sun will be rising soon. You'll have plenty of time to finish this once you return home."

Canada soon calmed down and nodded at her before shooting a glare at England, of which the latter flinched. "Don't. Think. You're. Off. The. Hook. I will be continuing this later, understand?"

His former caretaker nodded his head rapidly before hightailing it back up the Star Path without a word.

"Maple hockey!" Canada angrily commented with a stamp of his paw and the others couldn't blame him. "I'm now wondering how his older brothers and America can put up with that?! I swear if this happens again, he'll find out why the Germans call me 'Shock Trooper' the hard way!"

Prussia actually flinched at that nickname this time, making another mental note to not pull that joke on Germany as often. Hungary actually felt sorry for the boys, especially Austria since they were once a commonwealth as she nuzzled him to calm him down. He was very grateful for that since he was still very shaken of Canada's bark and rather not meet his bite.

Spottedleaf soon stood. "I'll be taking these ones back since dawn is coming. Be careful Canada, the enemy will grow stronger."

"Of course Spottedleaf," he replied with a nod. "You take care as well. I'll let Jayfeather know about this since he already knows about us Nations."

"Und don't forget to kick the enemy's un-awesome tails sky high!" Prussia added after he recovered and the Canadian laughed as he nodded to his friend.

The others also said goodbye and wished him luck as they all returned to the waking world.

"Why am I not surprised that this mess was your fault to begin with England?" America said with a sigh and sympathy as he looked at a still-frightened Brit, who was nothing more than a trembling lump under the sheets and comforters of his bed.

The maid called the younger Nation over since England refused to get out of bed, in hopes that America could talk sense into him. All America found was the end result of a rant session from Canada, which didn't leave much to easily put 2 and 2 together to conclude that England was the responsible party for the recent and current incidents happening to the Clans as his brother got tangled up in fixing things. And since Canada still had a three hour record on him, America sure didn't feel like teasing his former guardian about it for a change.

"I knew I should have read the fine print in my spell…" England's voice sounded from the comforter, full of guilt and fear. "But I was so confident that it would work…"

"Everyone does make mistakes that they regret," America replied just as the phone rang and the maid picked it up. "I'm still feeling bad myself for Boston beating Vancouver for the Stanley Cup, sparking those riots a few years back. I thought it would be funny to crack a few jokes about it just to try to help him get over it and almost had one of his hockey sticks cracked over my head. Mattie's never usually violent but I rather not go through that again. You're lucky you got the rant or else it could be worse."

"Well it is worse actually…" England muttered and America looked at him perplexed. "He said he'll continue after he gets back…"

"Ooooh a discontinued rant!" America flinched at the thought just before the maid came running in with a note in hand.

"Master Arthur I got a horrible message for you from the Prime Minister and Scotland Yard!" she said in worry as he peeked out to get the note and read it.

He soon shot up in shock and forced it in front of America's face. "America read this!"

He did and immediately paled as his eyes went wide. "Oh my God…things are now getting WAY worse than those stupid riots!"

First of all: Happy New Year to all my fans and readers on !

O.K I finally submitted something different after so long!

And good news to all my SMD fans, I'm OFFICIALLY working on Chapter 8 of SMD: RV!

Now for this story.

First, yes I know it's short but I was running out of ideas! Plus it was a good idea as any to leave it at a cliffhanger at this point. (If anyone has any ideas I love to hear your predictions!)

And yes the rant will continue but the next time it happens I probably won't leave any lines. Still debating on that. But at least I made a few good points of reference in the rant. (Yes it is illegal to practice magic or pretend to look like it up here but it's one of those laws that aren't so strongly enforced so nobody gives a care!)

And what America was referring to at the end is the Vancouver riots from that one Stanley Cup match of the Bruins against the Canucks. From what I heard there's still some arrests being done to this day. (Which is pretty stupid in my view.) Oh and the violent Canada thing was just me poking fun at Canada's emotions from it, like all Hetalia fans who heard of the incident.
