Disclaimer: I don't own 'VicTORious' or 'Castle'. You'll see why I mention 'Castle' quickly. Does anyone know if TNT still plays mini marathons of 'Castle'? I also don't own Officer DiNozzo or Officer McGee. They're based off of Tony DiNozzo and Tim McGee from 'NCIS'.
The next day of school is canceled due to a mysterious gas leak, that only Jade knows about. Deciding to hang out together, Tori, Cat, and the guys make plans to meet at Karaoke Dokie for lunch. Since it's only nine when they make the plans, they decide to do whatever for a few hours. Since Cat's brother is home, Cat has to stay home and help watch him while her parents take care of stuff for work and around the house when he's drugged out.
Since she can't see her girlfriend, Tori decides to hang out around her house, watching re-runs of 'Castle' on TNT. Around 10:00, Tori hears a knock at the door, and being the only one home since her parents are at work and Trina's out with her friends for the day, Tori gets up to answer it.
Tori POV
"Hello Vega." Jade says with a growl after I open the door, shocked to see her here. "Let's chat." She says, pushing me back and walking in, closing and locking the door behind her.
"What the hell are you doing here Jade?" I growl out, standing a few feet in front of her, angry at how she's been treating Cat.
"To talk. Actually, it's more like demand you break up with Cat and make her come crawling to me." Jade says, taking a step towards me, smirking when I take one back to keep the distance.
"Not happening." I tell her, smirking when her smirk turns into a glare. "How'd you find out? Threaten Cat?" I taunt, stepping back as she takes another step forward.
"She told you." She states, a knowing smirk on her face. "Guess I should've threatened her more, as you put it." She says, stepping towards me again, making me trip over the edge of the couch almost.
"What do you call it? She flinches just hearing your name. She was actually smiling this weekend, until she had to leave because of you." I tell her, righting myself.
"I call it behavior modification." She states as if it's nothing at all. "She made mistakes, and I let her know, and she fixed them. Although, I guess I'm doing such a good job if she actually wanted to date you." She snarls out, stopping in the middle of the living room. "I'm only saying this once. You break up with Cat before school tomorrow, or I break you're neck." She threatens, going back to the door and unlocking it.
"I'm not breaking up with Cat because you're jealous she actually likes hanging out with someone who doesn't force it or hurt her." I say, causing Jade to stop in her tracks.
"You know, you used the word force quite easily, and you also use the word threaten just as easily while describing me. Just to let you know Vega, it's not a threat if I follow through, just a warning and a promise of pain to come." She says, turning to face me, smirk back on her face. "Remember that if you want to live past first period tomorrow." She says, slamming the door close as she leaves.
No POV
After leaving the Vega house, Jade starts to head towards Cat's house, intending to get a message clear to the red-head. Unbeknownst to her, after the door closed, Tori grabbed her phone and dialed her father. Not wasting time, she told him about what Jade just said and that she thinks Jade might be going after Cat. Knowing his daughter wouldn't freak out over nothing, officer Vega and another officer go to the Valentine residence, hurrying while keeping the sirens and lights off, hoping to catch Jade off guard.
Arriving at the Valentine house, Jade simply walks in, knowing where the spare key was in case Cat decided to lock her out after Jade texted her and told the red head she was stopping by. Walking in, she's not surprised to find Cat alone, since she convinced Cat's parents to take her brother elsewhere while Cat was busy taking a shower.
On their way to the Valentine residence, Officer Vega called his daughter, hoping to get as much info as he could about the abuse Tori hinted at in her phone call. After the short but informative conversation, Officer Vega hangs up as they near the Valentine house, not surprised to see Jade's car there after the phone call with Tori. As they pulled into a nearby available driveway, Officer Vega's phone vibrates with a few pics Tori took while Cat slept of the bruises and marks Jade left on her. With that, they walk to the Valentine's front door, picking the lock. Walking in quickly, they're surprised at what they see.
Laying on the ground is a near unconscience Cat, her shirt cut open, revealing the light blue bra she wore. On her stomach are a variety of bruises stretching across her abdomen and rib cage. Above her, is a shocked and pissed Jade, looking like she's ready to kick Cat's side.
"Freeze!" Officer Vega yells, aiming his gun at Jade. Before she can start to run, Officer DiNozzo runs for her, tackling when Jade's about to take the scissors out of her boot.
"What the hell is this!" Jade yells, trying to force her way out of Officer DiNozzo's grip. "This is police fucking brutality. I didn't do a damn thing wrong." She yells as Officer Vega put cuffs on her wrists.
"Then explain why you were about to kick a near unconscience Cat, and going for the scissors in your boot?" Officer Vega asks, forcing her out of the Valentine house as Officer DiNozzo calls a paramedic and tells Officer Vega he'll wait with Cat until the ambulance arrives.
"Let me guess, your fucking daughter told you I was hurting Cat, and you just had to believe her? Fucking pathetic. I wasn't doing a damn thing, and when my father hears about this, he will sue your ass." Jade threatens after being thrown in the back and the door shut, locking her in.
"You mean the father who disowned you last month? The one who moved out of L.A. soon after, going on record that you are no longer his daughter?" David says, glaring at her though the rearview window. "Yeah, I know about that. And no, it's not because of Tori." He says, smirking at the slight fear in her eyes at the revelation.
About ten minutes later, the sirens of the ambulance are heard, nearing the Valentine house. A short moment later, Officer DiNozzo leads the paramedics inside as Officer Vega keeps an eye on Jade, glaring at her. A minute later, Officer DiNozzo follows the paramedics out, an unconscience Cat on a gurney, heading towards Officer Vega.
"You want me to ride with the girl, or should I head back to the station with you? She looks like a handful." Officer DiNozzo asks, glancing at Jade and then Cat as she's set into the ambulance.
"Go with Cat. I'll call ahead and have someone help me take her out at the station. When you find out which room she's in, call her parents and Tori, let them know. Call me after, I'll come up to get her statement. It might be easier if someone she knows gets her statement." Officer Vega tells him, smiling slightly. "Keep an eye on her til I get there, alright Tony?" He says, about to open the driver's side door of his car.
"Got it. I'll have McGee look up the numbers of her parents, and I just need you to text me Tori's number." Officer DiNozzo states, his usual joking manner gone.
"Understood." Officer Vega says, opening the door. Watching as DiNozzo heads into the ambulance, he smirks at Jade from the mirror. "You know, thanks to the pictures Tori sent us, and the fact that we can use your boots to match them to the wounds on Cat, we can put you away. You are, eighteen after all now." He says, pulling out after the ambulance drives away.
"Only if the boots match though." Jade smirks, knowing all about what he's planning. "How do you know I'm wearing the right ones?"
"One way to find out." He answers, ignoring Jade for the rest of the drive. Pulling into the station soon after, he calls for assistance as he parks. A moment later, a tall, built officer comes out, walking towards Officer Vega's car. "Can you take her into holding for me? I need to start the paperwork for the case then head down to the hospital." He tells the other officer.
"Sure. Why are you heading to the hospital?" The other officer asks, worried. "Did something happen to Holly or one of the girls?" He asks, sending a glare to Jade.
"No, they're fine." Officer Vega says with a small smile. "No, this girl here has been abusing her so-called friend for a while, and the girl she's been abusing is Tori's girlfriend and a friend of the family. I figure it'd be easier for her if I questioned her instead of another officer." He says, opening the door so the other officer can grab Jade's arms before she has a chance to run or anything.
"Wait, Tori's gay?" The officer asks in shock, keeping a tight grip on Jade.
"Yeah. I told you about her friends, right?" Officer Vega says, leading the other officer and Jade into the station. With a nod from the officer holding Jade, he continues. "Apparently Tori has had a crush on the red-head, Cat, for a while."
"And what? This girl's jealous or something?" The officer asks, dragging Jade to a holding cell for questioning.
"Something like that." Officer Vega answers, walking out with the other officer.
An hour later, Cat wakes up after being checked on by one of the nurses, since all the doctors are male and none wanted to scare her. Upon waking up, she sees Tori and Officer Vega talking to each other, Officer Vega writing something down on a notepad.
"What happened? Where am I?" Cat asks, catching the attention of the two Vega's.
"You're awake." Tori states, walking past her father and giving Cat a quick kiss on her lips, being careful not to put pressure on the red head's sides or stomach.
"Hello Cat. How are you feeling?" Officer Vega asks, taking a spot on the other side of Cat's hospital bed.
"Like hell." Cat states, groaning in pain. "What happened?" She asks again, looking at Tori.
"You're in the hospital. Tori called me and told me about what Jade has been doing to you, and that Jade threatened both her and you earlier this morning. We got to your house in time to prevent Jade from breaking your ribs. Before you woke up, I got a call from the forensics team at the station that Jade's boots match the bruises on your sides, pointing her to them." Officer Vega says, giving both girls a soft look. "We're glad we got there when we did. Jade seemed about ready to kill you." He says, rubbing her shoulders. "Cat, can I ask you something?"
"What?" She says, throat dry.
"Here." Tori says quickly, handing Cat a plastic cup filled with cold water.
"Why haven't you told anyone sooner? She shouldn't have done this, especially not this long." Officer Vega asks, giving her a sympathetic look.
"I thought I could get my friend back. I ignored the abuse because I was just hoping it would pass." Cat answers after taking a few sips of water. "What threat?" She asks Tori, looking at the young half Latina.
"Earlier today, before she went to your house, she threatened me. Told me to break up with you and break your heart if I wanted to live to see tomorrow." Tori answers, looking down.
The three stay silent after that, Tori and Cat looking at each other while Officer Vega looks away.
"I'm sorry, but I need to talk to Cat alone now." Officer Vega tells his daughter. "I'll get the rest of your statement later." He says, turning to a blank page in his notebook.
A minute later, Tori leaves after giving Cat a comforting kiss, waving as she closes the door. An hour later, after Officer Vega gets all he can from Cat, he calls the station, asking if anyone's questioned Jade yet. When he hears the yes and that her statement is on tape, he bids Cat farewell, letting Tori back in, giving her a hug and kiss goodbye, saying he needs to do something at the station.
Almost three hours later, Officer Vega calls his daughter with news.
"She confessed everything. She's going to jail, and she won't be getting out for a while. Tell Cat for me. I'll see you later." He says, hanging up to get back to the paperwork.
"I have news. Don't know how you'll take it though." Tori says, hanging up her phone and sitting in a chair beside Cat's bed.
"What?" Cat asks, worried.
"Jade's in jail. She confessed to everything. She won't get out for years." Tori says with a small smile.
I don't know if anything I wrote about the confession or anything being realistic or not. My experience with this kind of stuff is from 'NCIS' and 'CSI', so I doubt anything I said is realistic in time.
I hope everyone is liking this so far, and unfortunately, the dark days aren't over yet. Next chapter will probably be a bit shorter than this, but a fluffy chapter. I don't know how good I am at fluff though, so I hope it'll be okay.
Thank you for reading, reviewing, and everything else.
Blessed Be.
