Yeah already a new chapter! I just bought a laptop so I take it with me during my last business travelers. During my stay at the hotel, I wrote this chapter.
Previously: Shikamaru adapts his plans to the situation and Naruto "suits up". At the airport, we have been able to get a glimpse of the aftermath of the explosion. And a doctor has been introduced as Miss Konoha.
Chapter 9 - The night of the Dead
Tuesday, April 14th 2010, Tokonosu bridge, approximately sixteen hours after the outbreak (01:42 A.M.):
The first clone somehow had an easier time than the original and the Nara thought he would but he has seen too many disturbing situation to his taste. He saved the most people he could without risking his objective. The sight of the Tokonosu Bridge was awful. Humanity was at the same time and in the same place at his best and worst. After saving a pregnant woman and placing her in an apartment which had food and with a view on a bridge and telling her to calm down and wait a lull to cross the river, he takes contact with the shadow user to be guided on the safest way to his goal.

Two minutes later and he finds the street where he searches for the Humvee. It wasn't difficult, this "car" really stands out on a Japanese street. After a quick search and observation, he escalates to the second floor and then to the roof of a building in the same street to place a camera like his friend had asked him. After contacting the latter to help, he correctly placed the camera and activated it. Once finish with his first task, the clone begun his second and more destructive task, the clearing of the building and the street. With a wicked and bloodthirsty grin, the shadow imitation jumped in the fray! After all the sinful sights of his journey, he felt very vindictive and needed to let loose.
Tuesday, April 14th 2010, Hydroelectric dam, North of Okunako, approximately seventeen hours after the outbreak (02:24 A.M.):
The second Naruto clone [Deadpool Two] has finally arrived at the damn dam. He almost failed to come here. First, the little journey between the restaurant of Chôji and Fujimi High where was his motorbike has been hell. And he doesn't talk about the walking nightmares but about the others survivors, some of them have literally lost theirs minds and start shooting all that comes in sight. The gangs were by far the worst, he strongly suspects they were high on some powerful drugs. He sickens him that he has been forced to kill more human in one night than in all his time as a shinobi "the Zetsu don't count, were they even human to begin with?"
Secondly, the darkness of the night has hidden too many surprises, mostly the bad kind of surprises. The walking dead were everywhere! On the roofs, in the buildings, on the streets, in vehicles, under the vehicles, in the sewers, everywhere and some of them don't move until they heard him! More than one time, he had confused a walking corpse as a mere one. It was stressful. The journey on his bike had been hardly better! The streets are full of abandoned vehicles across them and some vehicles even caught fire. Thanks to his superhuman reflexes and agility, he succeeds in avoiding any collision but he hadn't been easy.
Now to secure the hydro plant and the primary transformers, he hopes the soldiers who were based here had let some supplies to help him otherwise he will need to warn Takagi Soïchirô at the earliest possible. But first of all, he needs to eliminate all the zombies in the area before blocking all the access. Shikamaru has suggested using the electricity for that. Dead or livings, the brain "moves" a body via very small electrical signal. So a big voltage will fried these signals and all the corpse will stop moving definitely. He will also need to inventory the self-defense outpost after cleaning it, there isn't a thing as too much guns and ammo in this new world.
Tuesday, April 13th 2010, Takagi Estate, approximately twenty-two hours after the outbreak (06:54 A.M.):
The operation "Apocalypse Now" is fully under course and goes smoothly. All the survivors of the right-wing of Tokonosu are in the cleared zone around the estate and even now walls are dressed to block every possible passage on ground by the undead, safe three spots which are heavily guarded. The Don listens to the first report of the morning while he surveys some of his men installing a giant screen with the help of an engineer they have rescued yesterday. This will permit to broadcast the news dedicated to deaf to avoid attracting the dead with the noise.
All is good but his friend Doitetsu Tarou informs him than Yuuki team hasn't contact them since their last report yesterday, twelve hours ago approximately. That is a problem, the offshore airport is a strategic point, they need this drop point to secure a maximum of people with the less armed forces needed. After a moment of hesitation, he orders the two helicopters to take two others teams with more ammo than the firsts two. Hopefully, there is a good explanation that isn't the death of the women and men he sent there.
His wife comes to him to inform him that Nara Shikamaru is ready for the videoconference. With a nod to his aid and friend, he orders him to continue the good work and to prepare for an excursion to the nearest two or three clinics in the area, it is time to secure some resources that will become rare in the future.
Tuesday, April 14th 2010, Akimichi "restaurant", approximately twenty-two hours after the outbreak (07:00 A.M.):
Saya who had been woke up by the shadow user waits anxiously for the establishing of the connection for the videoconference with her parents. She still has some doubt and is still shocked than her senseï is working for her father but the moment the image is broadcast she can't help the relief that floods in her. The severe and stoic face of her father and the calm and compose face of her mother are the proofs that there is still hope in this apocalypse:

- Musume, we are happy and relieved to see you safe. You have our gratitude Nara-san. The Don says with sincerity.
- Papa! Mama! You're alive! I'm so happy.
- Takagi-san, we are professionals. And since the beginning of our collaboration, we haven't failed once and we don't plan on beginning now, on the contrary.

The allies discuss the latest development and the best course of action to follow. Shikamaru is glad the securitization of the airport is sufficiently advanced to send refugees at once. This will freed more armed forces to fight the undead. When the betrayal of Shido is evoked, the Takagi aren't pleased to say the least. When they heard what the shinobis had planned, the Don suggest to sent the group by foot to a spacious enough zone able to receive the two helicopters that will directly drop Naruto to the airport afterward, his help will be welcome and his charisma should suffice to take charge.
With all points discussed, Shikamaru lets the room for Saya to talk with her parents. The first on his to-do-list is to contact Minami Rika and the best is via Marikawa Shizuka, her friend. Then he will need to contact Deadpool One to transmit the data that the S.A.T. squadron leader will give him. He also needs to check on Chôji and help modify the vehicle he found. "Damn, almost forgot to check with Naruto… Troublesome" After a quick thinking, he chooses to go to Chôji first then the nurse to gather all the information needed for Naruto.
Naruto is still in his meditative pose to gather his lost chakra when Shikamaru comes to him. After a brief talk, they choose Miku, Sam, Suseri, the Ishii siblings and Akane to go with Naruto to the airport. The first two go because their families are there, Suseri because without Miku she will feel lonely and then won't be at 100% on her survival. The siblings go because Kazu the brother has medical competence that will be needed to carter to the refugees and Akane because she will learn soon that her parents are dead and will the support of Sam who is a close friend of her and her family. So except for Kazu, all of them are competent fighters that will help keep up order on the airport and succeed to journey to the rendezvous point with the helicopters at the baseball stadium. They hesitate to also take Shizuka to the airport and her friend but the group might need medical support till they can arrive to the Takagi estate. The road to the safe area is still long even with suitable means of transport.
Tuesday, April 14th 2010, Shido group, approximately twenty-four hours after the outbreak:
In the bus of the exiles, Shido is preaching when all his "followers" are finally awake this morning to reinforce his control. During a part of the night, he has thought of different ways to use he situation to his on advantage to the fullest.
For one, he is the only remaining adult, so nobody to contest his leadership.
Two, the more able to fight in the group are some of his protégé so he also has the muscles under his control.
Three, the girls are so weak-willed that he can already tastes their warm against him.
Four, there is only a two boyfriend and he knows how to "dispose" of them.
Five, they had succeed in crossing the bridge before the situation degenerates and are now relatively in security.
Six, when the two boyfriends are dead, he will be able to go the Takagi estate and if the daughter accuses them of sabotage, all he would have to say is that he learns of the treachery this morning and ban the responsible of the act.
He almost let an evil chuckle pass his lips but he contains himself "this isn't the moment to make this kind of mistakes. But damn, am I good or am I excellent?" The two boys he plans to kill suddenly feels a dread sensation. They don't understand why but maybe their professor will know? This will be one of their last mistakes and his one will be fatal.
Tuesday, April 14th 2010, Tokonosu Offshore International Airport, approximately nineteen hours after the arrival of the first reinforcement, twenty-three hours after the outbreak:
The second reinforcement arrives in range of the air control, there is Team Shadow, these eight women and men have been trained by the three shinobi for the last four years. This was hell but nobody can argue with the result, they are the best of he organization and probably of the country. Yesterday, this team had accomplished 35% of the cleansing of the area around the Takagi estate. In the same time, nine other teams had cleared the rest.
The codename of the leader is Kitsune and the man is actually reading all the reports of the intervention of Yuuki team. There is no denying, Sasuke is a good leader. So how come they lost contact with them? Were they betrayed by the locals? An accident had decimate the team in one go?
BIP… BIP BIP… BIP… BIP… BIP BIP…BIP
"Oh! New data?" After a moment, a smirk appears on his face before using the radio to inform the teams that Cheesy Puff Master will come a bit later to support them. A loud "Dattebayo!" answers his announce. A moment later, the co-pilot informs them that they have the authorization to land.
When the two teams disembark, they meet with the leader of the S.A.T. team on the airport. Kitsune is pleased and relieved to see nothing negative in the eyes of the man. During their walk to the standing commanding center, the man informs the reinforcement of the situation. He can't believe his ears, a fucking explosion has occurred and he now is informed than even burning, the dead still move till the muscles are "cooked". Kitsune can already picture the reaction of their trainer and it won't be good. The only good news is that the smaller of the two islands is secured and the remaining local authorities have begun to move the refugees to the buildings the farthest of the front with the dead. The marine and the S.S.T. have secured the seaport but nobody knows how to use the boat there. The S.A.T. leader has at all time a team to clear the bridge to the mainland. The refugees are just a little over a thousand "it is less than we had hoped for." Kitsune thinks bitterly while reading the data given by the leader:

That's a total of 11,409 accounted for approximately thirty thousands people on the airport when the outbreak occurs. It is less than 40% of the people who the livings know the fate. Where are the others twenty thousand people? Will the airport be secured or will it fall before "them"? Kitsune thinks that maybe some explosive could help because killing this many bodies one by one will take a lot of time. "Or Naruto-sama will use all his powers?" Kitsune remembers a time when Akimichi Chôji has qualified the blond shinobi of "anti-army ninja". He sure hopes the blond still capable of feats worthy of this title.
Tuesday, April 14th 2010, Akimichi "restaurant", approximately twenty-five hours after the outbreak (10:00 A.M.):
The group stood speechless before the military vehicle of the shinobi: a VAB (Armored Vanguard Vehicle) TOP (Remote-Controlled turret) of the French army! The 12,7mm machine-gun turret is coupled with a panoramic periscope Hirano explains this model is used in various ways thanks to the multiple variants in the Afghanistan anti-terrorism war but seems to have been modified with parts of the AZUR model (Action in Urban Zone), to be more precise, there is a dozer blade to use against crowd. Some in the group can't help but ask themselves who are really Uzumaki-senseï and his friends? Seriously, is it even legal to own this military vehicle and then how come they have one modified? And by who was it modified? A mere mechanic can't know how.
When the three men return wearing suits that were everything except normal, they really were scared and relieved to be with them. Saya can't believe her parents are linked to these people and how come herself didn't see it coming? I mean Uzumaki-senseï is a little too young to be a titular professor at Fujimi High, the academy has high standard for his staff. There is no way for a nineteen years old professor to get a contract there without exterior help "I know the principal has a debt to mama."
Chôji wears a grey and black suit straight out of the video game Crysis, Nomad had nothing on the giant. The effect is reinforced by the enormous war hammer. He also has two FN-P-90 on his back and two FN 57 on his hips. The only color is the visor that is red, exactly like in the game.
Shikamaru reminds them of batman without his cap and his head is more like his friend Chôji. He is in all black even the protective lens are black and there is no reflection. His armament is limited to two FN-57 on his hips and one FN-P-90 on his back.
As for Naruto, Kyoko and Shizuka remember very well the comics Deadpool and can't believe that Naruto will wear this outfit this well. Only Hirano for the younger generation recognize the style and thinks that yes he suits the extravagant teacher.
All in all, the three are battle ready more than probably the rest of the world. The girls and women also notice that the package of the three men are nicely molded and let little to the imagination. Some wild thoughts cross their minds before the strategist gets the attention of the group by coughing in his fist.
Tuesday, April 14th 2010, Minami Rika apartment, approximately thirty hours after the outbreak:
The clone of Naruto looks sadly the small sleeping child in his arms. Her name is Maresato Alice and he can't help the anger that grows in his heart at the still fresh memory of the event of last night. How could Humanity stoops so low as to kill a father protecting his child before her very eyes like that. His naïvety is also responsible and he won't make excuse, his friends have repeatedly tried to make him understand the reality unlike his childish vision of the world. He had thought the people would open their door if only for the child but to think THAT will be their reaction! Shikamaru will be pissed with him but he couldn't let this child to die alone just after the murder of her father… no worse to become one of them when he says to the man to rest in peace knowing he protects his daughter till he finds her a strong protector. "Uzumaki don't break promise! That's the motto of my clan and I won't be the first one to break it! Dattebayo!... Troublesome verbal tic…"
AN: So this was a better chap and it promised some action in the next.
Some of you have made some interesting guess as who is Miss Konoha but I can tell nobody has the good answer! And I seriously doubt you will find, I don't know what I was smoking but it was good! You will be surprised and I think you will like it! So don't flames me too fast and too much. Waits patiently and let your mind be blown out!
