A/N: Hello, here's the tenth chapter! Yay, ten chapters! *throws confetti in face* And the story's not even close to finished yet! :)
Disclaimer: I do not own these characters. I don't own Charlie, I don't own Willy Wonka (*sob*), I don't own anyone except Toffee, and even then, she looks like Anne Hathaway, and I don't own her either! I DO NOT OWN ANYTHING!
The Boat Ride
The ticke winners and their chaperones filed one-by-one into the boat.
Willy, trying to avoid Mrs. Beauregard, sat in the back, where Toffee sat next to him, making him smile a fraction of a smile.
Charlie tried sitting with Violet, but Mrs. Beauregard glared at him, causing him to sit hurriedly in the space on the other side of Toffee.
Willy was glad to see that, despite the sudden disappearance of the Gloops, Toffee and Charlie were still amazed by the factory.
He then noticed how horribly thin both Charlie and Toffee were, and selected a thin ladle from the side of the boat. He dipped it into the river, and offered it to Toffee, as she was closest to him.
"Here, drink this, you both look starved to death!" he said.
She gently took the ladle, and took a small sip. As soon as the chocolate hit her tongue, she melted. "It's amazing!" she said, passing the ladle to Charlie.
A small touch of color bloomed across Willy's pale face, and he said, "Thank you."
Charlie took a sip of the chocolate, and his entire face lit up. "It's great!" he said, handing the ladle back to Willy.
Toffee's hand brushed Willy's for the briefest of seconds, but her face automatically turned a violent shade of red. Willy answered Charlie (a little delayed), "Yeah, it is great."
(He sounded a little dazed.)
Violet called from in front of Willy, "Mr. Wonka! We're going towards a tunnel!"
Willy snapped out of eye contact with Toffee, and said, "Oh, yeah, full speed ahead!"
Toffee pulled Charlie away from the edge of the boat as it drew closer to the glooming dark of the tunnel.
Charlie asked Willy, "How do they know where they're going?"
Willy answered in a low voice, "There's no knowing where they're going." He called, "Switch on the lights!" just before the boat plunged down the chocolate waterfall.
The other winners screamed and wailed, but Charlie threw his hands into the air, and Toffee hollered "WOOO HOOOOOOOO!"
Willy was glad to see that Toffee was having such a good time, considering the last time she rode in the boat, she got thrown into the river.
He noticed where the boat was, then said, "Watch, watch! We're passing some very important rooms here!"
The boat floated past a couple of rooms; Coffee Cream, Clotted Cream. The door to the third room was left open so that they couldn't see the label on the door.
Inside, four Oompa-Loompas were whipping a cow, who was mooing out into the tunnel.
Charlie laughed, and said, "Whipped Cream!"
Willy smiled as they passed another door.
Mrs. Baeuregard said quite dumbly, "Hair Cream? What do you use that for?"
Willy just smiled, and said, "To lock in moisture!" as he primped his hair.
Toffee stifled a laugh, but Violet's mother just shot him a withering look.
In response, Willy nodded in the Violet's direction as a signal to the rowers. They obeyed, and the boat accelerated again.
They rushed past a couple of rooms that they couldn't read, then the boat slowed in front of a larger door with the words 'Inventing Room' on it.
Willy stood up in his seat, and said giddily, "Stop the boat! I want to show you guys something!" He jumped out of the boat, and gestured for the group to follow him.
He held out his hand, and helped Toffee out of the boat. Toffee said a soft 'thank you', and followed him through the large door, the rest of the group following close behind.
A/N: Sorry this chapter ended up a little shorter. I also cut out a little bit of what I had written in my notebook, it didn't flow very well with the next chapter.
The next chapter! Yes, I am going to do that! (Eventually) WARNING: more Willy/OC fluff coming! :)
