Sorry it's a bit on the short side.
Cat walked into school Monday, nerves gnawing at her stomach. Tori fell into step easily beside her as they walked to her locker.
"What's up?" Tori asked.
"Nothing! Why do you ask? I didn't do anything!" Cat said, panicked.
"I was just asking, why what did you do? What's wrong?"Tori said suspiciously.
"Well, I mean it's nothing serious, even if I did spend the whole weekend thinking about it.." Cat said, unsure of how to tell Tori she had a secret that she couldn't tell her yet.
Tori raised her eyebrow after stepping in front of Cat and blocking her locker, which they had just reached.
"You thought about one thing ALL weekend? What's wrong?Did someone hurt you or your feelings? Is your family okay? Are you sick? You have been acting weird the last few days." Tori said, her protective side coming out as she thought of her friend being distressed. She even felt her forehead to check for a temperature.
"Nothing like that don't worry." Cat reassured her. "But..I can't tell you what it is it's a secret." she explained.
"But we tell each other everything!" Tori exclaimed.
"I know, but I made a promise"
"And you always keep your promises." Tori sighed.
" I'll tell you as soon as I can, I promise. But a few things will have to happen first"
"Ok but promise me you're not putting yourself in danger." Tori said firmly.
Cat swore that she wasn't without even pausing, after all Beck had never physically killed someone. Tori smiled, and then they mutually dropped the subject and acted as if nothing at all had happened. Doing so was second nature to them, they were actresses after all.
Throughout the day, Cat noticed that Robbie was giving her strange, nervous looks. She could never concentrate on that because Beck was looking at her with puppy dog eyes when he thought she, and everyone else, wasn't looking. Between the two of them, and her own thoughts drifting, she couldn't concentrate at all. Dang boys.
For the second last class of the day, Cat had a free period. Near the end she went out in the empty hallway to get her books for the last class and homework. When she was at the locker she heard someone call her name from behind her. It was Robbie.
"Hey Robbie what's up?" she said, hoping she would find out why he was giving her strange looks all day.
"Well, you know that Prom that Tori is organising?" Robbie asked.
"I already know about the meeting if that's what you are saying." she said.
"It's not that." Robbie said nervously.
Cat could suddenly feel Beck's hard stare in their direction and she knew he was listening.
"Well I was wondering if you would be my date to prom?" Robbie asked.
What will Cat do?! See in the chapter of ... Good Boy Gone Bad!
