Chapter 10
As everyone entered the room Hagen was in they took a seat around the table one by one.
"It is nice to see you again." Hagen said with his gruff voice, "But I see a few of you are missing is everything ok?"
"Yes everything will be ok." Bloom said as she looked at Hagen, "Nikea had one of her childhood memories return yesterday and it was not a good one, Flora is with her right now to make sure that she is ok."
"How bad was this memory?" Hagen asked with a concerned face.
"When she was a young child she witnessed Sonia killing the people that everyone thought were her parents' right in front of her." Isaac said as he looked down at the table.
"Don't worry she's doing better, she fell asleep just before I left." Flora said as she entered the room.
"I knew Sonia was wicked but I did not know she would do something like that." Hagen said.
"She did not do it to torment her." Flora said as she sat down in an empty chair, "Nikea told me everything that she remembered and that was that Sonia was actually looking for her."
"So those two were hiding Nikea?" Riven asked.
Flora just nodded her head.
"I am sorry this happened to another young girl that I know." Isaac said sadly.
Everyone turned their attention toward Isaac.
"What do you mean?" Morgana asked.
Isaac told the story to everyone else in the room about the family that he had met a month before being rescued by Bloom, Stella, Flora, Amelia, Roxy, and Florina.
"How could someone be as cruel as Sonia was to kill a family just for helping you out Isaac?" Sky asked with anger in his voice.
"It's just been the way she has always been towards me and anyone that I know, that is why I tried to leave as soon as I had woke up." Isaac said, "But I am glad that you convinced me to stay or I would never have gotten to know any of you."
"To get on to what I was brought here to do, Isaac can I see you phontoblades?" Hagen asked.
Isaac pulled out both phaontoblades and placed them in front of Hagen. Hagen picked one up and started to grumble to himself as he examined it.
"They can be fixed." Hagen said as he placed the phantoblade back on the table, "But."
"But what?" Riven asked.
"I don't think I can fix them before you will need to fight again." Hagen said with a sad face.
"Then how will I be able to help it the fight to come?" Isaac asked.
"I figured that I may not be able to repair your swords in time so I went back to my workshop to find these." Hagen said as he pulled two items from the bag he had with him setting them on the table.
Sky picked one of the items up and looked at it closely.
"Where is the button to release the blade at?" Sky asked as he continued to look at the item.
"These are not phantoblades they use the inner magic someone has to create blade that connect to those hilts." Hagen said, "Each blade that is created is unique to each person."
"So how will this help me out?" Isaac asked, "I can't use magic and don't know if I have any inner magic."
"Isaac you do have magic inside of you." Darcy said as she stood up.
Everyone was shocked at what Darcy had said.
"When we were children on Whisperia Isaac was able to control two different elements when he was young." Stormy said, "It has been so long that he must have forgotten how to use his magic."
"I can use two different elemental magic's!" Isaac said in shock, "What are they?"
"You could control both fire and ice at the age of three." Darcy said, we just need to get you to remember how to use them again."
"Those two are complete opposite they should cancel each other out." Ms. Faragonda said.
"That is true but on rare occasions in Whisperia a baby is born that can use opposing elements." Darcy said.
"When do we start the training?" Isaac asked with determination in his eyes, "I want to be able to protect my friends again."
"We can start right away but remember it will not be easy." Darcy said.
"I know that but I have to do something, I don't want anyone to be hurt like Nikea or Rebecca again." Isaac said as he stood up.
"Ok then lets go and get this over with." Darcy said as she stood up.
"Wait you two, I am going to come and observe this training." Ms. Faragonda said, "I trust you Darcy but I know how tempting power can be to people I just don't want to see Isaac succumbing to this power and becoming one of our enemies."
"I understand I was going to ask for your help, I know that Icy would not have wanted him to follow the path that she had taken." Darcy said.
After the meeting everyone but Bloom, Flora, Roxy, and Helia decided to go and watch Isaac train.
"I bet Amelia will be surprised to see us." Bloom said.
"Yea from her room I'm sure that she will be able to see Isaac training and wonder why we aren't down there with the rest of out friends." Flora said.
Bloom and the others climbed the stairs and walked down the small hallway to Amelia's door. Bloom knocked on Amelia's door and heard nothing from inside. She knocked again and still no sound.
"Do you think she is ok?" Bloom asked with a scared face.
"I don't know but we need to get in there to make sure she is ok." Roxy said.
"Then stand back." Helia said as he backed away from the door.
"Stop!" someone yelled from behind them.
The four turned to see Amelia walking down the hallway.
"Why did you want to break down my door?" Amelia asked after inviting everyone in.
"Sorry we didn't hear anything from inside your room and thought that something might be wrong." Flora said.
"Understandable." Amelia said.
"So how is everything going?" Bloom asked.
"Everything is fine." Amelia said with a smile, "I was just taking a walk before Miele came by for our daily chat."
"So how is Miele doing?" Flora asked.
"She's doing fine." Amelia said, "I do have to tell you something Bloom."
"What's that?" Bloom asked with a curious face.
"Your parents would not take no for an answer and went back to Earth." Amelia said, "Your dad said he had to go back to help the firefighters and your mom did not want to leave her flower shop for long."
"That sounds just like them." Bloom said.
A few moments later an explosion could be heard from outside the castle.
"What was that?" Amelia yelled.
"Isaac is training to use the magical powers that are dormant inside of him, that must have been him doing something out there." Roxy said as they all walked over to a window overlooking the action down below.
As they watched they saw a flame form around Isaac's right hand before he threw it towards a rock which exploded on contact. Everyone around him was happy that he was succeeding.
"What are you all looking at?" A voice from behind everyone asked.
Everyone in the room turned to see a smiling little girl.
"Miele it's good to see you again." Amelia said with a smile.
"It's good to see you too Amelia." Miele said before she saw Flora, "Sister!"
"Hi Miele, how have you been?" Flora asked.
"I've been fine I am happy that Amelia is here so I can talk to someone that is friendly like you." Miele said as she ran up and gave Flora a hug.
"Thank you for being a good friend for Miele." Flora said with a smile.
"It's been my pleasure." Amelia said, "To answer your question of what we were looking at we were watching Isaac train down below; he is trying to gain the ability to use the magic that is dormant in him."
"Isaac has magic in him." Miele said with amazement as she ran to the window to watch.
"Yes, when he is done he will be able to use two different elements." Helia said as the rest turned their attention back down below.
"Which two elements will he be able to use?" Amelia asked.
"Fire which you saw him using already and also ice." Roxy said.
"Wow those two powers are so different from one another." Miele said as she watched Isaac creating another fireball in his right hand.
"Looks like he already has control over his fire powers." Helia said with amazement.
"Yep and all that is left is ice." Bloom said.
As they all watched Isaac below they could see Darcy talking to Isaac before she walked away and Ms. Faragonda stepped forward. After a few moments Isaac nodded his head and Ms. Faragonda stepped back before he began to build his powers up. After a few moments they could see his left arm beginning to glow white, as he threw a punch ice shards could be seen flying away from him.
"I am happy that he has already succeeded at using both powers." Bloom said with somberness in her voice, "I thought that ice would have been hard for him to use after what happened to his sister."
"I know what you mean." Roxy said.
"We better get down there and see how everything is going." Helia said.
After saying their goodbyes Bloom, Flora, Roxy, and Helia made their ways down to where their friends were.
"So when can I try and gain my new swords?" Isaac asked as he looked at Hagen.
"You have done better with your magic training then I could have hope for you to be able to use both powers so fast is amazing." Hagen said, "I think that you are ready to gain your new swords."
Hagen pulled out both hilts that he had brought with him and handed them to Isaac.
"So what do I do?" Isaac asked.
"All you have to do is run your magic through both hilts and the blades will appear." Hagen said with a smile.
Isaac gripped both hilts in his hands and began to gather what magic he had into his hands. After a few moments two blades formed.
"What type of swords are those?" Timmy asked.
"I don't know but they do look kind of cool." Brandon said as he got a better look at the blades.
"Those swords are called Kodachi." Bloom said as she walked up.
"How do you know what they are called?" Sky asked.
"When I was younger and still living on Earth one of my classes had a field trip to a museum to go to a samurai exhibit. While we were there I was amazed at the swords because of how well they were made. I remember seeing that type of sword sitting next to another one that looked like them just larger and curved, the larger one was called a katana."
Isaac just looked at his white and orange sword after hearing what Bloom had just said.
"So these are the type of sword that my magic can make." Isaac said, "Everyone stand back I want to try something."
Isaac lifted the orange blade above his head and swung the sword down. As the sword cut through the air a flame was created and flew away from them crashing into a rock with a massive explosion.
"Try the other sword Isaac." Hagen said.
Isaac shook his head before raising the other sword above his head and swung the sword. As the white sword cut through the air shards of ice flew from it crashing through a tree and some rocks in front of everyone.
"Remind me not to get Isaac mad while he has those swords." Riven said.
"I know what you mean look at that destruction that has been caused." Sky said as he looked where the fire ball and ice shards had hit.
"I think that we should get going as soon as possible." Isaac said.
"Let's wait till tomorrow." Flora said, "I know that Nikea would want to come and you need to rest so you will be ready for anything."
Isaac just shook his head in acknowledgment.
"Then it's settled we will leave tomorrow morning." Bloom said as everyone walked back to the castle to settle down for the night.
The next morning everyone gather at the front of the castle to set off.
"It's good that you came to see us off Amelia." Layla said with a smile.
"Actually I came to ask if I could come with you, I know that I can not fight but I will not be a burden on you I just fell like I need to come with." Amelia said.
"Why do you feel like you need to come?" Roxy asked.
"I just feel it in the bottom of my heart like I need to be there." Amelia said with fear in her face, "I know it will be dangerous but I will do all I can to help out."
"I know you feel like you need to come but it is too dangerous." Stella said.
"She can come." Bloom said as she opened her eyes.
"But Bloom." Musa said in shock.
"I know how she feels; it is like when I could not do anything to help when you were the only ones to be able to find the key to Obsidian while I had to stay behind." Bloom said, "I know she can't fight as well as the rest of us but she might be able to do something that we can't do without her."
"Besides the Specialists will protect her if the need arises." Sky said with a smile.
"I still don't like it, but if you say she's coming then she's coming." Stella said.
"Thank you." Amelia said.
Everyone climbed aboard the ship and prepared for liftoff. Bloom looked around and knew that this was going to be one had fought battle for everyone.
