Chapter 10: happy birthday Annie! Part 1
Jack couldn't help but notice that Annie seemed extremely happy when she woke up one morning. She skipped up to him on the deck of the pearl.
"Daddy" she said "do you have something to say to me?"
Jack thought about this for a brief moment. "Oh yes, your breakfast is in the galley."
"No, something else" she said frowning.
"Oh, you got a new dress, it looks good."
"No I didn't!" she screamed tear's welling in her eyes "you have no idea what today is!"
She ran off to her room and slammed the door.
"Mr. Gibbs" said jack "is it possible for a child to go through puberty at four year's old?"
"She's five today, captain" said Gibbs.
"No, if she were five then that would mean today's her…" his voice trailed off as it dawned on him.
"Birthday, sir" Gibbs finished for him.
Jack's eye's widened "oh bugger… how could I forget my only child's birthday... Mr. Gibbs get the crew together and tell them to get this place ship shape, today were having a birthday party."
With that jack ran down the gang plank to Elizabeth and will's house. They had a kid maybe they could help him. By the time he got there he was completely out of breath, when will answered the door.
"Hello, jack" said will
"Will!" jack wheezed "Annie! Party! Help!"
Will sat jack down and gave him some water, when Elizabeth came in.
"Jack?" she said "aren't you leaving today?"
"Yes, but I've got bigger problems" said jack.
"Jack, what are you dragging us in to now?" asked will.
"I forgot Annie's birthday" jack said.
Will and Elizabeth looked at each other surprised.
"How?" they both asked.
"She never really told me the date and now she's mad and I have to give her a party" he explained.
"Fair enough, we'll help" said Elizabeth "but only for Annie."
"Great" said jack.
"Now, what kind of party does she want?" asked will.
"A birthday party! Try to keep up will!" said jack.
"He meant what kind of theme" said Elizabeth.
"Oh" said jack "I don't know."
"What about a pirate theme?" asked Elizabeth.
"Perfect" said jack.
"Okay we'll have to go get party favors, decorations, and a cake. Jack, your job is to make sure Annie doesn't suspect a thing. You're the distraction."
Will snickered "perfect job for him."
"Fine" said jack.
