Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto
Chapter 10
In a dimly lit street of Tanzaku town Naruto stood across from Tsunade. The woman they were supposed to bring back to Konoha, and he was ready to fight her. Said woman, who now looked a bit more sober, held up one finger. This brought a confused look to Naruto's face.
"One," She spoke confidently. "I'll only use one finger to fight you." a smirk spread across her face.
"Are you serious?" Naruto asked, taken aback in surprise.
Tsunade shrugged closing her eyes briefly. "I'm sannin kid, you're just a mere genin. Usually I don't even fight people of such low rank, but you're not an average genin." She pointed out. "Although I still won't use my full strength against you. It would just be a waste of my precious chakra."
Naruto clenched his fists and his features hardened. "Don't underestimate me." The blond growled in a low voice.
Off to the side Jiraiya had a serious look on his face as he watched the interaction between his student, and his old teammate.
Next to him stood Shizune, Tsunade's assistant. The young woman looked concerned as she held a pig close to her chest. She thought that Tsunade had been acting strange that day. Ever since they met Orochimaru, her other teammate from all those years ago. He had given the female sannin a very tempting offer, simply heal the destroyed tenketsus in his arm and a student of his. In return he would bring back Tsunade's little brother and her dead lover. Usually Shizune could figure out what was going on in her master's mind, but she couldn't tell if the woman had actually considered the offer or not. Of course Shizune herself would be extremely happy to see her uncle again, but she also believed that the dead should be treated with respect and stay dead.
After that Jiraiya arrived and told them about Konoha, that they wanted Tsunade to be the Hokage after Sarutobi Hiruzen's retirement. Tsunade made a few remarks about the Hokages, past and present, that didn't sit well with Jiraiya or his young student Naruto, who had stayed quiet the whole time. Tsunade had made a comment on how the Hokages keep "throwing away" their lives for the ungrateful people of the village. It was then that Naruto tried to attack her, but Jiraiya was there to hold him back.
*Flashback*
"You're really pathetic, you know that?!" Naruto yelled at the blonde woman. The small amount of people present in the bar turned to see what was going on. "You were once the best medical ninja of Konoha! People looked up to you!" Tsunade scoffed and looked away.
"Look at you now," Naruto continued. "A little misfortune in your life and you turn into a gambling old drunk who only cares about herself!" Her hand twitched slightly. "A Hokage never throws away their life for no reason! They make those sacrifices, they die, because they love their village!"
Jiraiya, who had a firm grip on the young blonde's shoulder, saw a brief flash of mixed emotions in Tsunade's eyes.
Sadness, Regret, Anger, Hate and so much more.
"You're the first Hokage's granddaughter, he was the founder of the hidden Leaf and I have no doubt that he would have sacrificed his life for his home." Naruto said with a heated glare fixed on his fellow blonde. "But with the way you act I doubt you two could even be related."
Suddenly, faster than any normal person, Tsunade moved and instantly had a finger pressed against Naruto's forehead. She looked him in the eye and gave him a soul piercing glare, but Naruto didn't seem fazed at all.
"I could end your life here and now with just a pulse of my chakra, brat." She growled.
"I'm not scared of you, old lady." Naruto shot back.
Shizune let out a gasp while Jiraiya closed his eyes and cringed. He knew this wasn't going to end well, no one talked back to Tsunade after she threatened them. EVER.
The stare down lasted only a few seconds before Tsunade smirked. "Wanna take this outside, ya little brat?" She challenged dropping her finger.
"Lead the way, granny." Naruto replied without hesitation.
*Flashback End*
'Come at me' Tsunade motioned with her finger.
Naruto leaned forward, holding three shuriken in each hand. It was his signature way of starting off all battles. People who were unaware of his ability to use Jinton were easily caught off guard when they thought they had dodged his weapons.
With quick a quick flick of his wrists the shuriken where sent flying. The stars headed straight for the female sannin, said woman moved her body to avoid all the stars. 'You need to do better than that gaki.' She thought.
Swiping his left hand in an upwards arc the stars suddenly changed their trajectory, shooting upwards. Tsunade looked up in shock as the shuriken stopped in midair but continued spinning rapidly.
Looking back at Naruto her eyes widen. The boy hadn't moved from his position, he stood there with his hand up in the air. What got Tsunade's attention were his eyes, they were no longer blue. Instead they were purple and displaying a strange pattern. 'He has a doujutsu?'
In all her years as a medic she had never seen something like it before, but she knew for certain that it wasn't native to Konoha.
Still in shock, she barely saw him mutter "Shuriken Kage Bunshin no jutsu" the numbers of stars increased dramatically before he brought down his arm, letting them rain down upon her. Tsunade was forced to duck to avoid the projectiles that dug deep into the ground behind her. She rolled towards the boy and stopped in a crouching position.
"I win." Naruto said calmly. He stood in front of her while a clone started forming a rasengan in his hand.
Still crouched Tsunade looked up at him and smiled. "What makes you so sure?" Her eyes narrowed. She was a sannin! She wasn't about to lose, especially not to a genin. She had to give him props though, she had yet to hit him and he managed to catch her of guard with his ability. Jinton, if she wasn't mistaken, was a bloodline from Suna which originating from the third Kazekage's clan. And she never would have expected a Konoha shinobi to have it.
The younger blond let out a heavy sigh and stretched out his other hand towards Tsunade when she was about to attack. As Tsunade moved forward she realized that her entire body felt almost ten times heavier than usual and in that instant fell face first in the dirt.
'What is this?' She thought, unable to move an inch. Even with her titanic strength she only managed to ball her fists. "I win." She heard the boy repeat and gritted her teeth. How could she be defeated so easily by a genin? She was a SANNIN for crying out loud!
"Tsunade-sama" cried Shizune. She couldn't believe it, her mentor had lost to a genin off all things. She rushed to her side trying to help her up when Naruto release her from whatever technique she was under.
Said blond wandered over to Jiraiya without saying a word and accepted his bag from the man.
Jiraiya quietly watched as Tsunade had her bruises healed by Shizune. As much as he had been told, he really didn't know a lot about the full extent of the young blonde's abilities.
Tsunade herself had a faraway look in her eyes as she sat there, silent.
"I see you managed to complete the rasengan." The Toad sannin said to the young boy next to him.
"I guess." he replied with less enthusiasm than the man expected.
"Is something wrong, kid?" Jiraiya asked.
Naruto shook his head and sighed. "No, I'm just exhausted."
"Hmm" Jiraiya nodded in understanding. "Don't worry, we'll head to a hotel soon." He assured.
"Okay" The jinchuuriki replied in a whisper. Naruto really didn't want to be there anymore, he just wanted to forget everything and go home. He'd had about enough of this trip and didn't care whether Tsunade came with them or not. Konoha might need a new Hokage, but not Tsunade. All the respect he held for the woman had disappeared when she had basically said that the past Hokage's sacrifices had been worthless. Truth be told, he didn't really care for the title at all, but he did believe that people should get the respect and recognition they deserved. Once it might have been his goal to become the leader of the Leaf village, just to be acknowledge by the people there, but that dream died 5 years ago.
He had a different goal now, which wasn't related to Konoha in any way. It was something he would seek out to accomplish in the future. But it was still his and Jiraiya's mission to find a way to bring her back.
"Hey kid." Tsunade called as she got up from the ground. Naruto looked at her but didn't say anything. "I want a rematch." She said looking serious.
"Why?" Naruto asked in mild surprise.
"I underestimated you and was caught off guard." She answered. "I'm a sannin and it would be a bad for my reputation if word got out that I lost to a genin."
"But you did lose." Naruto said.
"Yes, and I don't like to be treated as a joke." Tsunade countered. "If I win you'll tell me EVERYTHING and then go back to Konoha without me."
Naruto's eyes narrowed. "And what if I win?"
Tsunade smirked. "Then I'll give you this." She pointed at the necklace she was wearing.
Shizune gasped. "Tsunade-sama! You can't!" She exclaimed in shock.
"And I'll go back to Konoha with you." The female sannin replied ignoring her assistant completely.
This was probably the best way to get her to come back since he didn't know any other way. "Deal." Naruto finally said.
"Okay," She smiled. "We fight in a week."
Naruto looked confused. "Why a week?"
"Gives us more time to prepare." She said and turned to leave. "See you in a week, kid."
"Fine." The young blond mumbled as he watched the sannin leave, her assistant and pig close behind.
"Let's go, Naruto." Jiraiya called him and they started walking back in the opposite direction.

Hinata walked through the halls of the Hokage building towards the Hokage's office. Not too long ago she had gotten a message from the old man, saying that he requested her presence. She was extremely curious as to why he wanted to meet her so suddenly. It could be a mission since she hadn't gone on one outside the village since the chunin, and it had ended a month ago. Hinata, the rest of the genin, and a few chunin we're placed around the village to help rebuild after the invasion.
Naruto had left during that time with the Toad sannin, and now she didn't have anyone she could really talk to. She had her other friends but after their sudden 'change', they all started to act kind of strange around them. She knew the mystery behind their transformation was the cause, and eventually she and Naruto were going to have to explain it to them. But it wasn't a subject they were very fond of bringing up. How Naruto had come to possess Jinton and his own doujutsu which was almost like the sharingan. Only he couldn't cast genjutsu, but he was immune to them when his eyes were active. How he also had gained control over gravitational forces and the ability to increase or decrease air pressure, all with a single touch. That ability was very unpredictable at times, his mood can influence his surroundings. If he got angry the air pressure around him would increase tremendously, and if happy it feels so light it's as if you're floating. That was also the reason he was capable of flight, by decreasing his own weight and using Fuuton for control and speed.
Hinata herself had her byakugan enhanced sight giving her better vision then the Hyuugas. The ability to create black lightning, plus her most dangerous skill, Siphon. An ability that allowed her to learn all about a person's special abilities through physical contact. And if she managed to get a hold of their blood in the process she could temporary copy it and use it against them. Naruto found that scary for some reason, Anko said she was kind of envious of her.
The incident also brought her Emi, a chakra entity similar to the Kyuubi. Only it wasn't as powerful as him, even thought it was created from power belonging to said fox. It was the reason why Hinata survived the massive explosion that should have killed her 5 years ago.
Back then the force of the blast had sent her through the glass container that kept Emi sealed. Freed from its prison it latched itself onto Hinata, fusing with her. It had protected her, healed her wounds and shielded her from falling debris. Later it took the form of a woman resembling Hinata's mother and presented herself as the young girl's guardian from that day on.
Hinata finally arrived in front of the Hokage's office and knocked on his door. From the other side she heard the Kage call her in and she did as she was instructed. Once inside she saw the Hokage sitting behind his desk, on either side of him sat the clan heads of Konoha's most important clans. The Hyuuga, Akimichi, Nara, Yamanaka, Aburame and the Inuzaka all had different expression on their faces as their eyes landed on her. Her eyes met her father's who was always someone she had trouble figuring out.
Finally she noticed Shikamaru, looking as bored as his father, the Nara clan head. She gave the Hokage and the clan heads a respectful bow and went to stand next to her old classmate.
"Well now that you both are here we can begin." Hiruzen spoke. "Hinata Yuuhi and Shikamaru Nara, following your performances in the 3rd and final round of the chunin exam, the judges have found you two worthy of taking on the title of chunin."
Shikamaru let out a heavy sigh while Hinata looked surprised. Her match ended in a draw and she was still chosen?
The Hokage continued. "You have proven that you possess the skills and mindset necessary to take on this responsibility. Everyone here agrees on this matter." The clan heads nodded in support. "That also means that from here on out you will be sent on even more difficult missions, so it's wise to be more alert. But we're sure you'll be able to handle them, otherwise we wouldn't be giving you this promotion."
"Congratulation." He said with a proud smile and produced two flak jackets from behind his desk, handing them to the two new chunin.
Accepting the uniforms they both bowed respectfully "Thank you Hokage-sama." They spoke in unison.
The clan leaders all stood up and congratulated the two and left, Shikamaru going along with his father. Now it was only Sarutobi, Hinata and leader of the Hyuuga clan. Said man approached his daughter.
"Congratulation Hinata, I'm proud of you." He said with a smile.
"Thank you, father." The young girl said before surprising the man by hugging him. Recovering from his shock, the man returned the embrace. It had been a very long time since he had been face to face with his daughter. Although his duties and responsibilities where the most frequent cause of this.
"I've missed you." He heard her speak softly.
Hiruzen in the meantime had left his office, wanting to give the father and daughter some time to talk. He could use this free time to walk around the village, and see how everything was doing.

-One week later-
Naruto sat on his bed in the hotel he and Jiraiya were staying at. Today was the day he would battle Tsunade again, but he wasn't really looking forward to it. This time around she would be completely sober and better prepared, with an idea of what he was capable of. She could even find a way around his techniques or at least counter them. He was prepared for anything.
The only thing he absolutely knew, was that he had to stay out of her reach. As a medical ninja, and the best in her field, getting to close could mean the end of him.
He sighed looking at the time. "We should just get this over with." He muttered letting himself fall backwards onto the bed.
After awhile rapid knocks came from behind the door. He got up and made his way to the door. Whoever it was kept knocking furiously until Naruto opened up.
It was Shizune, she looked like she was having a panic attack. "Naruto!" She yelled grabbing the boy by his shoulders. "Have you seen Jiraiya?"
"What? No. Why?" The boy asked confused. He hadn't seen the man since last night after he said he would go talk to Tsunade.
"It's Tsunade! She's gone."
"What!" Naruto almost exclaimed. "Where did she go?"
Shizune didn't answer and avoided his gaze. "We have to find Jiraiya." She said abruptly heading straight for the door. She was halted when her path was blocked by a kunai, it sailed passed her head and embedded itself in the door.
Naruto and Shizune turned their heads to see Jiraiya standing at the window. He was sweating profusely and looked extremely weak and exhausted.
"Jiraiya-sama!" Shizune gasped hurrying over to the man. "What happened to you?"
The sannin shot her a weak glare. "Shizune...where is...Tsunade...meeting Orochimaru?" He managed to get out between breaths.
The young medic's eyes widen in shock. Although it shouldn't have come as a surprise that Jiraiya would be able to find out about her master meeting with the snake sannin. He was a spy and an information gatherer, a good one at that. Knowing it was useless to deny the truth, she revealed everything that happened that day.
"That snake." Jiraiya growled lowly then looked at the young medic. "Shizune where is she meeting him?" He asked her and she told him exactly where the meeting was to take place.
He nodded, then asked another question. "Do you have any way to reverse the effects of this drug?"
Shizune shook her head. "No, you have to wait until it passes through your system."
The toad sage wasn't too pleased with this answer but there was nothing he could do about it. Only wait.
"Whatever, let's go." He finally said.
They left through the hotel window and headed in the direction of Tsunade and Orochimaru's meeting.
