I am so sorry. I got sick, had to work on another story, my internet messed up and now my mom is sick. This month has been horrible. On the bright side my birthday is in a few weeks. :) But to make up for the shortness and lateness I shall give you a Scott pov. In which he joins the battle.
"Rogue you know having boys in your room is against the rules." Logan growled out as he stormed down the hall with his fingers curled tightly around Rogue's wrist, dangerously close to exposed skin.
"Uh dad my skin is poisonous what is a guy possibly going to do to me?" Rogue rolled her eyes even though she knew he couldn't see it and quickly snatched her arm from his grasp. Unfortunately that was probably one of the worst things to do as Logan slowly twisted to face her while his left eye began to have muscle spasms.
" Rogue." Was all he was able to ground out before Ororo intervened.
"Logan." She stated in a chaste whisper as she placed her hands on his shoulders. Logan did calm down a smidge but his eye still twitched.
"I'll take over the danger room session this time darling." Ororo's voice was low and soothing as she gently rubbed his shoulders. He made a low rumble in his throat that was probably a growl, groan or moan, but he walked away without cursing under his breath.
"Thanks, mom. I thought he was going to start foaming at the mouth."
"Oh he wouldn't do that. He got his rabies shot last week." Ororo gave a small grin as they pair began to descend in the elevator. Rogue, needless to say, was quite shocked so shocked that it took her a moment to remember to laugh.
"Now let's get going."
Rogue smiled and trailed her mother out the elevator.
Scott pov
I gave out a sigh of relief as I made it to the safety of my room. I still don't get how Ororo fell in love with Logan. I mean he has a murder record, anger issues and all around grouch. I bit the inside of my cheek as I stood up and walked over to my window. Just in time to see Kitty sneaking off into the thickness of the trees.
"Doesn't' she ever learn?" I complained to myself as I headed out my door in hopes of catching her.
*line break*
"Kitty!" I called out while I tromped through the thickets. Tree branches slap at my face a clothes despite the fact that I pushed them aside as I walked through.
"Kitty!" I gave out another shout this time with a tint of anger. I stopped and quickly wiped the blood off that was pouring out of the cut on my head.
"Yes?"
I jumped as the face of the smiling young girl suddenly popped in front of my face. She smiled and waved while a flash of blue caught my attention. I started toward it when Kitty jumped back in front of me.
"Who's there?" I asked her my voice screaming authority. She bit her bottom lip and stared at the ground before glancing back up at me.
"Kurt." She breathed out in a whisper.
"Wait, aren't you dating Lance?" I folded my arms and calmly awaited the answer. Her cheeks quickly turned red as she stared at me with a strange grin on her face.
"Yes I'm dating Lance. Kurt and I just wanted to go for a walk."
"Really?" My arms remained crossed even as I heard the familiar 'bamf' of Kurt teleporting.
"Fine. Do you really think Rogue would try to hurt me?" Kitty cocked her head and placed a hand on her hip while she looked up at me expectantly.
"No." My voice was low and a part of me hoped that was the answer she was looking for, even if it was the truth.
"Great!" She smiled brightly and with a wave of her hand Kurt was soon standing beside her, "We're detectives."
I said nothing, I didn't really need to. The shock radiated off me and besides Kitty seems to never stop talking.
"Yeah, we're going to find out who's really behind the attack. Want to help?"
"Yes." There was absolutely no hesitation in my voice. I would help and then her parents would find out they were wrong. That Rogue wasn't cold blooded, that she was actually sweet. Well she was every once in a while.
"Yay!" Kitty squealed as Kurt grinned, "Come on we'll fill you in as we walk."
I let out a breath of air and followed the pair through the woods once again.
