"Rat a tat tat
Rat a tat tat tat, hey
My love is a weapon, there's no second guessing when I say
Rat a tat tat
Rat a tat tat tat, hey
My heart is a grenade, you pull the pin and say."

Nervous
She was about to go through with a soon-to-be train wreck plan for a guy she was barely friends with. If you could call it a friendship. Barely acquaintances, more like it.
'Since when did you play hero.' That oh-so annoying voice laughed in her head.
It was true of course. Annie Wilson had never really been one for saving people. Most of her life she had been too busy saving herself. Never worrying about anyone else's well-being, but her own.
But things were different now. She was different now…or at least she was trying to be different- to be better. She was on the run from her past, and had so many secrets bottled up, so many lies she had told that is was hard to keep account of which went with which.
"There's something different about you." Derek piped up from her right causing her to jump slightly. "You're not like others." He added causing some confusion to stir into the mix.
She laughed weirdly, that was a first. Her eyes were boring into the tree across from her hoping- praying that he wouldn't go on. Praying he wouldn't keep prying.
"What's your secret?" She snapped her head in his direction starting slightly.
"My secret?" She repeated slowly. Trying to retain the nervousness in her voice.
"You know, the thing you're so eager to get away from. It's written all over your face. There's something haunting you, and you hide behind it with arrogance- sarcasm."
"I don't know what you're talking about." She murmured, her attention on the tree again.
He opened his mouth to speak again much to his dismay, when Isaac came crashing through the woods, arm full of the disarray things he was talking about earlier.
'Thank God for Lahey.' She thought to herself. She could hug him at that moment if he wasn't so dang annoying. She was unknowingly smiling at him, and she didn't notice until he gave her a look that clearly read what.
"You got back faster than I thought you would." She said smile fading slowly.
'Not fast enough or you could have avoided that whole conversation with Mr. Dark and Brooding over there.' The voice piped up again.
"So what now?" She probed Derek still having a staring contest with the same spot on the tree. It wasn't until her vision blurred slightly did she decide to look elsewhere.
"I'll plant these and you two will hide. When the pack starts to pile out. You two head in, get Scott out and haul."
"Will we be immune to the sound?" She questioned him concern wearing her face.
"No." He started bluntly. "Lahey is already used to the sound you on the other hand won't be unless…" He finished trailing off at the end.
"Unless?" She repeated motioning for him to go on.
"Do you happen to have your phone and earbuds on you?" He asked, you could practically see the gears turning in his head.
"Yeah, why?"
"Put them on, and then when I motion for you two to go, put it on as loud as you can." He elucidated.
"Sounds like a plan. Come on Lahey let's go find ourselves a nice tree to hide behind." She laughed grabbing his forearm and leading him to a nearby tree.
She watched him swiftly put each one into the ground turning them on. Annie put on her music as loud as she could. She watched as the two alleged werewolves moved from they're spaces toward the things and Derek signaled for them to go.
Isaac and Annie gave each other one look and then ran like hell towards the side solemn house. They both crouched down and around the side of the worn down building she could see the two werewolves crouching in pain.
She looked behind her to see Lahey wincing slightly but she could tell the pain wasn't as major as whatever the other two were hearing.
"You okay?" She mouthed to him surprisingly. Caring about Isaac's well-being was new. It didn't change anything though. She still couldn't stand the idiot.
He gave her a curt nod. Confusion scrawled onto her face when she saw fear slide onto his. She followed his anxiety filled gaze to see a man walk out of the Hale house.
She didn't need to ask to know it was Deucalion. Scott had described him to her that day in the coffee shop with such abhorrence distaste. She could feel the smugness radiating off him.
And now she knew why Isaac was so fearful. Whatever those things were that were affecting his pack wasn't working- at all on him. He glanced at his pack crouched down on the ground in pain with disgust and he frowned.
He was angry. She gave Derek a questioning look in the distance that she was sure he couldn't see. He was hiding behind one of the closer trees to the house and disappointment was written all over his face.
Deucalion walked slowly toward the first hunters' contraption and picked it up and threw it to the ground shattering it.
"We have to go." She whispered to Isaac as softly as she could.
"Now?" He looked at her as if she was insane.
"No yesterday. We need to get Scott out while he's 'occupied'."
Isaac nodded. They both swiftly edged their way across the porch and slid into the doorway. She couldn't feel Lahey was behind her anymore and she looked back to see him looking through the window.
"He has only a few left, and it doesn't look like Kali and Ennis are in as much pain as they were before. We need to hurry." He filled her in.
"Let's split up. Whoever finds him, get the other one and we get the hell out of here." She barely finished before Isaac disappeared into the hallway. She could hear the distant grunts and moans of Ennis and Kali grow fainter and that's when she ran.
She was going door to door, opening each one as forcefully as the next. Until she heard Isaac call out her name. She followed his voice to find him in front of a door in the far end of the hallway. This place had a lot of rooms.
"It's locked." He sighed.
Annie shook the handle and finally decided to try something else.
It wasn't until she saw the door land on the ground with a loud 'thud' and the shocked look embroidered on his face did she realized that she impulsively kicked down the door.
"Adrenaline." She nodded at Isaac before they both rushed into the room to find an unconscious Scott.
