Chapter 10: Natsu vs. Erigor
Naruto, Erza, Natsu, Gray, Lucy, and Happy were all looking at the direction where Erigor flew away thinking it was time to kick his ass and save the guild masters
"Alright I believe that we've stalled ourselves long enough now, let's head to Clover." said Erza
"Get your ass ready Erigor, because me and Fairytail are coming to kick it hard like nobody's business." said Naruto with a determined smiling face
Just then all of the sudden, the group heard Kageyama chuckling while he was on the ground.
"It is no use, you will never be able to catch up to Erigor now...you cannot stop us now...we have won." said Kageyama with an evil smile
Naruto became irritated and angry from all of the eisenwald members spirit breaking comments.
"YOU JUST WATCH US!" yelled Naruto
Erza and the others looked at Naruto with worry from his sudden out burst, especially Erza. Erza walked up to Naruto and put both of her hands on his shoulders making him get her attention.
"Naruto, are you alright?" asked Erza with worry
Naruto looked at Erza with fury but seeing how worried she was, he was able to calm down abit.
"Yeah, I'm fine. It's just that it really irritates me how these eisenwald thugs are trying to break our spirits." said Naruto
Erza placed her right hand on Naruto's left cheek.
"Don't let their spirit breaking words bother you Naruto, as long as you know that we will stop Erigor and save the guild masters, there is no need to feel angry." said Erza smiling sweetly at him
Hearing Erza's heart warming and comforting words of advice, Naruto felt better and he smiled at her at the same time, hugging her.
"Thank you Erza." said Naruto
"Your welcome Naruto." said Erza hugging him back
Naruto looked back at the others and his cheerful face was replaced with a face of shock. Erza looked at Naruto with confusion and turned around and got the same facial expression as Naruto.
"Where's Natsu?" asked Erza
Gray and Lucy looked around and noticed that happy wasn't there either.
"Happy's not here either." said Gray
"They must have ran off to go fight Erigor." said Lucy
"By themselves? I'm going after them." said Naruto as he ran off
"Wait Naruto!" cried Erza
Naruto jumped up into the air reaching many levels of height. And when he stop rising in the air, he dashed away flying with awesome speed leaving behind the sound of a sonic boom. Erza, Gray, and Lucy looked at what just happened with wide eyes.
"W what just happened?" asked Lucy
"I think it's safe to say that, Naruto can fly." said Gray
"Yeah, and with incredible speed too." said Erza
"But when did he learn how to fly?"
"That's not important, lets just follow him."
"Alright."
Erza and Lucy ran over to the magic mobile while Gray picked up Kageyama and followed them. Lucy hopped into the passenger carriage and so did Gray holding Kageyama while Erza hopped into the drivers seat and drove into the direction where Naruto flew away.
With Erigor
Erigor was flying over the train track line across the giant canyon and he noticed the city of Clover ahead just beyond some mountains.
"I see the town up ahead, a bit farther and I'll have revenge." said Erigor to himself
Suddenly, Erigor heard a noise coming from behind him, like somebody screaming. Erigor looked back behind him and his eyes went wide when he saw Naruto holding onto Natsu and Happy while gaining on Erigor's tail like nobody's business.
"We got you now! Didn't know Naruto could fly this fast now did you?!" yelled Natsu as they got closer and closer to Erigor
"Go Natsu!" yelled Naruto as he threw Natsu towards Erigor.
Natsu pulled back his left leg and thrusted it into Erigor's chest and sent him falling onto the train tracks. Natsu fell down onto the tracks and caught Happy who fell out of the sky while Naruto flew down and landed beside him.
1 minute earlier
Natsu was holding onto Happy's body while they were flying in Erigor's direction. When suddenly...
"Natsu!" yelled a voice
Natsu and Happy looked behind themselves and their eyes went wide when they saw Naruto flying and gaining on them.
"Naruto, you can fly too?" asked Natsu
"Yeah, but aside from that, what do you think your doing going after Erigor?" asked Naruto
"I have to stop Erigor and save the guild masters." said Natsu
"You are not going off fighting Erigor Natsu..." said Naruto as he grabbed the back of Natsu's vest and put his left hand onto Natsu's chest and smiled at him "...Not without backup."
Natsu smiled at Naruto and they both looked forward and while he held onto Natsu, Naruto flew off with even more speed than Happy had. After just 10 seconds, Naruto and Natsu saw Erigor right in front of them and Natsu yelled at the top of his lungs to get Erigor's attention.
Back to present time
"Hey Happy, are you okay?" asked Natsu
"Yeah, but I'm so tired from flying." said Happy
"Don't worry Happy, me and Natsu can handle it from here." said Naruto
"You two again?" said Erigor from behind making Naruto and Natsu face him "You two are part of those pesky Fairytail flies, what are you two doing here?"
"First off, I'm not one of these so called 'pesky Fairytail flies' cause I'm not a member of their guild." said Naruto
"But even if your not a member, your still our ally." said Natsu making Naruto smile and he lit his fists on fire. "Second of all, Were not letting you get past us you bastard!"
With Erza and the other
Erza was driving the magic mobile on the train tracks while Lucy, and Gray had Kageyama in the carriage with them.
"So tell me, why are you taking me with you?" asked Kageyama
"Because you obviously need a doctor, and since everyone left town, you'll have to see one in Clover. Try to show some graditude for crying out loud" said Lucy
"I don't understand, why are you even helping? We are enemies." said Kageyama making Lucy glare at him "Oh wait, i get it. Your taking me hostage so you can try to make a deal with Erigor. Well you can forget it, he could care less about me or any of his men."
"Geez, lighten up dude."
"If you want to die, we actually can make that happen." said Gray
"That's cold Gray." said Lucy
"There is a whole lot more to this world than just life and death you know. You should try to look for the positive in it, you and your eisenwald pals." said Gray
Suddenly, the magic mobile hopped off of the train tracks and Gray and Lucy went flying around in the carriage and Lucy's bottom accidentally landed on Kageyama's face. The magic mobile landed back on the tracks.
"What happened?" asked Gray calling out to Erza
"It's okay, everything's fine now!" replied Erza
"Oh my god Kageyama, I am so sorry." said Lucy
"Could your but be any bigger? said Kageyama causing Lucy to get angry
"Sexual harassment! Kill him Gray, he said I have a big butt!" yelled Lucy
"Geez, so much for trying to have a serious moment." said Gray
Erza kept on driving when she noticed she was not being able to see as clearly as she usually could.
("My vision is getting blurry, I must have used more magic than i thought. Naruto, Natsu...you both have to stop Erigor. It's all up to the two of you now, please don't let me down.") thought Erza to herself
With Naruto and Natsu
Naruto and Natsu were facing off against Erigor while Natsu still had his fists lit on fire.
"I'm gonna burn you and that stupid flute of yours to a crisp. And if anything goes wrong, I've got Naruto by my side to help out." said Natsu
"So you were able to break through the wind barrier, you little flies give me such a nuisance. Now get out my way boys, or else." said Erigor as he blasted a wave of wind at Naruto and Natsu.
"Is that all you've got?!" cried Natsu resisting the attack while Naruto did the same.
When the attack was finished, Natsu shot fire from his feet to make him jump really high and he lit his fists on fire again. Natsu came falling down towards Erigor, but Erigor moved out of the way and Natsu slammed his attack into the tracks. Natsu dashed towards Erigor and threw his right fist at him and Erigor used his scythe to block.
("Impossible, he uses his flames to jump and to strike. I underestimated his power, this mite actually be a challenge.") thought Erigor as he flew into the air
"What are you doing up there you coward?! Come down here and fight me like a man!" shouted Natsu
"don't get too cocky fly!"said Erigor as he casted another spell at Natsu which happened to be a tornado "STORM BRINGER!"
Natsu was spinning round and round inside the tornado and was screaming loudly.
"Natsu!" cried both Naruto and Happy, as Happy tried to activate his wings couldn't do it
"Are you okay Happy?" asked Naruto
"It's no use, i don't have enough magic left." said Happy
"Hehehe, let's see your fire power get you out of this." said Erigor
As the tornado spell was finished, Natsu flew away just a few feet away from the tracks and fell down to the bottom of the canyon.
"Natsu!" cried Happy
"Don't worry Happy, I'll get him." said Naruto as he ran over to where Natsu fell "Hang on Natsu, I'm coming."
Naruto jumped was about to jump off the tracks and fly down to get Natsu. But suddenly, Erigor came flying down to Naruto and blasted a wave of wind at him pushing him back.
"Your not going anywhere, your insect friend is going to die and there is nothing you can do about it." said Erigor
"...Move." said Naruto quietly
"What's that?"
"Move."
"What? Speak louder."
"I SAID MOVE!"
Naruto came dashing towards Erigor and thrusted his right fist into Erigor's solar plexus and sent him flying far away into a canyon rock.
"Bam! Right in the solar plexus!" shouted Naruto
With Erza and the others
"Did you hear that?" asked Lucy
"Yeah, it sounds like someone getting hit in the solar plexus." said Gray
With Naruto
Erigor held onto his solar plexus which was hurting really badly from Naruto's punch.
("What the hell? How is that blonde kid so strong? AUGH that punch really hurt.)
Naruto jumped off the tracks and fell down to where Natsu fell.
"NO!" yelled Erigor as he got up off of the cracked canyon rock and flew towards Naruto's direction
Suddenly, a giant beam of fire came rising towards Naruto who quickly dodged it in time. The top of the giant fire beam turned into a giant fire hand which grabbed onto the tracks, and at the bottom of the giant fire beam was Natsu who appeared to actually be using the giant fire hand to pull himself back up and reach the top of the tracks. Erigor stayed there frozen in shock of what Natsu just did.
"Natsu!" cried Happy with cheer
Naruto came flying back up to the tracks and landed beside Natsu
"That was awesome, what you just did Natsu." said Naruto
"Yeah it was, and it was all thanks to Macao." said Natsu
In Natsu's memories
A younger Natsu was learning a trick to use with his fire magic with his grown up friend Macao who too was a fire wizard.
"Come on Natsu, you can do better than that. Now watch how I do It." said Macao as he used his purple fire to carry a glass of alcohol "See, You getting it?"
"Oh wow, that's awesome." said younger Natsu
"Yeah it's called Purple Flare. And even though it's fire, it can do a lot more than just burn things."
"How come my fire always burns everything it touches?"
"Because you don't know how to make it not burn. You gotta learn that if you wish for it deep down in your heart, the fire will do exactly what you want it to. Once you've mastered that, then not even wind or water magic can beat you."
"That doesn't make any sense."
"It will Natsu, just in time."
Back to Present time
"So that's what you were trying to teach me, I really get it now." said Natsu
("Impossible, how was he able to do that?") thought Eriogr
"You must be pretty cold up there half naked like that, want me to warm you up?" asked Natsu
"Your flames are powerless against me." said Erigor
"Oh yeah, we'll see about that." said Natsu as he slammed his fists together "FIRE DRAGON: ROAR!"
Natsu breathed a giant wave of fire towards Eriogr.
"STORM WALL!" shouted Erigor as he blocked Natsu's attack with his wind magic ("I can't believe this kid, there is no rhyme or reason to his attacks. Is this what all Fairytail wizards are like?")
"Hehehe, you like that Erigor?" asked Natsu
"Although your magic is remarkable, I'm afraid you are still no match for me. Enough of this cat and mouse chase, It's time to get serious."
"I'm ready when you are."
"STORM MAIL!"
Erigor made his scythe spin around in a circle and a bunch of wind appeared around his entire body.
"Here I come." said Erigor as he flew towards Natsu
Natsu lit his right fist on fire and threw it at Erigor. But because of his body wind barrier, Natsu's attack was deflected.
"What's the matter, can't handle the breeze?" asked Erigor
"Coward! You just had to go and wrap yourself in a wind barrier!" yelled Natsu as he slammed his fists together "This will break through it."
Natsu jumped towards Erigor and lit his right fist on fire.
"FIRE DRAGON: IRON FIST!" shouted Natsu as he threw this attack at Erigor
Erigor threw his left fist onto Natsu's fist and made the fire go out.
"What the...I don't understand, why did my fire go out?" asked Natsu
"Just as I suspected, your completely helpless without your flames. Looks like I have the upper hand." said Erigor
"No way."
Erigor used more of his wind magic to push Natsu backwards about seven or eight feet away.
"Unfortunately for you, the winds of my Storm Mail attack blow outwardly. If you get too close, it will destroy your flames leaving you powerless against me." said Erigor
"Oh yeah?!" asked Natsu
"FIRE CAN NEVER DEFEAT WIND!" yelled Erigor
"Natsu!" cried Naruto
"This is intense, it's like standing inside a typhoon." said Natsu
"It's time to blow your flame out for good." said Erigor as he pushed Natsu back again "And now, STORM SHRED!"
Erigor blasted many wind projectiles at Natsu who managed to dodge. Natsu blasted fire from his feet while lighting his fist on fire and dashed towards Erigor who used his wind magic to slow him down.
"Urgh I have to break through!' cried Natsu, but was pushed back onto the tracks "Urgh, I can't even get close enough to lay a punch on this guy. Now what?
"Feeling a little frustrated? Don't be too hard on yourself, you never had a chance against me. But don't worry, I'm going to put an end to this now. My sword and phoenix magic rips everything to shreds. EMERA BARAM" said Erigor as he activated a magic circle and many others that were moving around in a circular pattern
"That's a dangerous spell Natsu, whatever you do, don't let it touch you okay?" said Happy
"GOOD-BYE FAIRYTAIL FLY!" yelled Erigor as he casted the spell which seemed like a giant hurrican cloud coming strait towards Natsu and caused an explosion "Hmph, he is just like all the other Fairytail flies. Weak, pathetic, does not deserve to live."
As the smoke from the explosion of the spell cleared up, something incredible shocking made Erigor become shocked to the core. It was Naruto using the Susano'o to defend Natsu.
"Naruto, why did you protect me?" asked Natsu
"Because you need to beat him Natsu, you have to be at your best to be able to win." said Naruto as he turned off the Susano'o
"Defeat me? You think defending your insect friend will do you any better for fire to beat wind?" asked Erigor
"I didn't say that, I said he had to be at his best to beat you, that's why I used the Susano'o to defend him."
"Hmph, well I am impressed that your so called 'Susano'o' is still in one peace after that attack, not to shabby for a wizard so young."
"First off, of course you are. Your weak magic will never be anything compared to my strongest defense. Second of all, I'm not a wizard, I am a ninja."
Erigor became angry at Naruto's insult about his magic.
"YOU DARE CALL MY MAGIC WEAK?! AFTER I PLAY A MELODY ON THE LULLABY FOR THOSE OLD GUILD FOOLS, THEY WILL BE JOINING YOU IN ETERNAL REST!" yelled Erigor
Hearing what Erigor just said, Natsu slammed his fist into the ground getting Naruto, Happy, and Erigor's attention.
"All you talk about, is that stupid flute." said Natsu as he took off his vest "If you wanna kill the guild masters then your gonna have to kill me first."
"You tell him Natsu!" cheered Happy
"Yeah Natsu, show him who's boss." said Naruto as he jumped into the air and back flipped landing right behind Natsu
"And now that we are done talking, it's time to start fighting! Come on" shouted Natsu as he lit his fists on fire and jumped towards Erigor
"I told you that you are wasting your time!" said Erigor as he used his wind magic to push Natsu backwards
Natsu got back on his feet but then he grabbed onto a rail on the train tracks and lit his entire body on fire.
"No! What's wrong with me, I can't even get close to him!" shouted Natsu as his fire seemed to be getting hotter
"Natsu." said both Naruto and Happy
"I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE! I HAVE TO BEAT HIM!" yelled Natsu at the top of his lungs as his fire kept on getting hotter and hotter and in four different areas around him and the others, canyon rocks were caught on fire.
"What is this? The angrier he gets, the more intense is flames become." said Erigor
As Natsu's flames kept on getting hotter and hotter, something odd seemed to be going with Erigor's Storm Mail.
"Wow, he's really doing it." said Happy
"What do you mean Happy?" asked Naruto
"He is changing the direction of the wind."
Natsu screamed even more as he broke the rail off the tracks and his flames shot up into the sky like a tube as they kept on getting hotter and hotter.
"It's flames of emotion. But how can that be, it's an ancient magic. Where did this kid learn how to use it?" asked Erigor as he just then noticed that his Storm Mail was getting weaker and weaker because of all of the heat coming from Natsu's fire "What the? It's drawing my wind towards him."
"That's it!" cried Happy as Natsu continued to scream loudly "Natsu!"
Natsu looked back towards Happy with his fire still around him.
"You stink. Just give up and let Gray handle this, cause your never gonna win." said Happy
Natsu's flames turned off completely as he just stood there in shock. But because of Natsu hearing Happy to leave Erigor to his life long rival, Natsu became even angrier than he was before and his fire was turned back on even hotter than before.
"WHAT DID YOU SAY?!" yelled Natsu as he continued to draw Erigor's Storm Mail towards himself and successfully did it
"What? His flames completely destroyed my Storm Mail, curse you." said Erigor
"Happy, how exactly does Natsu's fire draw Erigor's wind towards him?" asked Naruto
Natsu's flames are heating the air around him. The hot air creates a vertical updraft, which also creates a low pressure area. And wind always blows from high pressure to low pressure areas. Did you get all that Naruto?" asked Happy
"Yeah, I get it now."
"I'M GONNA TAKE YOU DOWN!" yelled Natsu as his fire magic continued to get stronger
("His fire magic is so strong, surely he couldn't be.") thought Erigor
Natsu screamed loudly as he dashed towards Erigor and rammed his head into his stomach.
"FIRE DRAGON: SWORD EDGE!" yelled Natsu as he unleashed a strong lash of up rising fire that looked like the edge of a sword, and lifted Erigor into the air.
("A dragon slayer, they truly exist.") thought Erigor as he fell out of sky, landed on the train tracks and was completely knocked out
"Hey Naruto, Happy, did you guys like the show?" asked Natsu
"It was a show worth watching alright." said Naruto
"You showed him that if you mess with a salamander, your gonna get toasted." said Happy
"You weren't to sure of me earlier Happy." said Natsu
"Cat's have a really bad short term memory you know."
"You said I'd never be able to beat him, so I should have left it to Erza, or Naruto, or something like that."
"Whoa your memory must be even worse than mine, I said Gray, not Erza or Naruto."
"Actually Happy, I think Natsu knows you said Gray but he just wants to leave it to Erza or me cause he doesn't want to fall behind to his life long rival." said Naruto turning to face Natsu "But that doesn't even matter cause you beat him Natsu."
"You bet I did, although I'm not really sure how I pulled off that last attack." said Natsu
"Maybe your just that good." said Naruto
"I guess so. Oh and Naruto I have something to ask you."
"What's that Natsu?"
"When did you learn how to be able to fly?"
"I learned how to fly when i unlock half of the power of my ultimate form."
"Your ultimate form must be awesome."
"Oh you have no idea."
"Aye sir!" cheered Happy and the three of them laughed together
While Naruto, Natsu, and Happy weren't looking, the Lullaby flute was laying on the tracks and for some reason, it's three eyes started glowing a purplish pink light.
Just so I let you guys know in case you have noticed, I have used a Fairy Tail abridged reference from Fairy Tail Abridged Parody by PallenTownChampions. I don't anything from any of the Fairy Tail abridged series's on YouTube.
