Chapter Ten

It was a week before Christmas. It was the last day of school before we winter break came. I had gotten a call from mother saying that they were arriving this weekend. I told the guys and they said that we should throw them a party. I agreed. Sam organized everything for the party. She was really amazing. I never knew that she could accomplish so much. Then Normy came up to me.

"Clover" he said hesitantly.

"Hmm. What is it?" I asked. Then I noticed the way I said this reminded me of both of our mothers.

"When will I be able to see my parents?" he asked not looking directly at me.

"How long have you known?" I asked.

"When they sent me to Blaine's summer home, I knew right away that something was wrong." he said.

"Well" I began to say then the doorbell rang. Sam and the rest told me to answer. So I went. When I opened the door, the only thing that I could register was that Sam's, Alex's and my parents were here, two days before the Christmas party.

I told them to enter. They put their bags at the doorway. Then Sam, Alex and the rest came to the door. Sam and Alex noticed their parents and they rushed to hug them. We all caught up. Normy found out that his parents were hospitalized, but were recuperating. He was glad. The two days passed in a flash. It was already Christmas Eve. Everything was set up. The guest arrived. All of our friends were here. Sam Alex and I dressed up in the same clothing. We wore a dress that reached up a little bit more that halfway up our thighs. It was turtle necked, but had no sleeves.

When everyone got a look at us, they were left with their mouths open. Mandy, Mindy and their friends, from when I first arrived, were here with their family. Everyone was having a blast. Then the doorbell rang. I went and answered it. I saw Normy's parents. I told Cloe to call Normy over to where I was at. When Normy approached me he saw his parents. He was over joyed to see them. When I mean by over joyed, I mean it. He was blubbering.

After the party was over everyone went home. When all of the cleaning was done we all headed to bed. A week later Normy's, Alex's, Sam's and my parents had to go back to their vacation. Which was weird. They said that they were giving us a chance to prove that we can live by ourselves. Normy's parents had asked him if he wanted to go back with them. I clearly thought that he was going to agree quickly. If he did, it would be boring without him, and I would miss him so much. He told them that he wanted to stay with us. They understood.

We took them to the airport. When everyone had bid them goodbye, they boarded the plane. When the plane departed we all headed home. That's how we spent our winter break. Then it was time to go back to school.
