Desert blitz chapter 10

As the storm was moving in Christine a brownish-red head callsign blaze who had wolf features slammed into the deck to exhausted to move after a night detail her sister was pacing on the deck with a jacket soaking wet listening for her sister and upon seeing the sparks of metal on metal lighting up the night she ran over as the thunder rolled and the lightning flashed on a scene of her sisters arm bent at a wrong angle she ran over screaming "Shelby is that you?" as she tried raising her on the telepathic link and when she got close she saw a wet mop of red hair and blood and she knew. Screaming she ran toward Shelby "Ember hold on blaze is coming as she reached Richard and she threw the jacket she was wearing off and over her sister to keep her from suffering from hypothermia she started patching her up as the medics arrived. As Shelby was being rushed down to sick bay Richard looked at Christine and asked with worry in his eyes "do you want me to help you down to the crew quarters?" and seeing the look chris said "no Ill get down the quarters in a way which I doubt you'll approve of but I'm doing it" and with that she ran to the edge screaming "save a horse ride cowboy!" and she intended to grab the pipe and flip into the hangar bay then walk to the crew quarters but she slipped and her foot had caught the edge of the safety net then the pipe which was soaking wet didn't let her swing like she wanted so as she slid through the air her head slammed into the deck slashing her head open leaving a blood smear that showed she fell overboard. As the night drug on Shelby heard a terrifying voice "If I die before I wake" and looking around she called out Lisa chris if you are here and awake can you meet me at the N64 and bring the lights for fro the Gameboys cause I need to finish leveling up my ponyta and charmeleon and if you could go look for Shelby Id be happy" followed by the "KAAALANNNG" of the sirens going off and as everyone jumped up to get ready cause they thought it was a contact when they made a beeline to the hangar they saw the blood and they heard that it was one of their own who went overboard the witches and MH60 seahawk were scrambled and sitting on an ice sheet shivering Shelby struggled to launch a flare.
As the flare went up in a slow arc that almost petered out at the top of the arc she screamed a prayer as she reloaded and fired again "Dear god please let this reach my family" and she mumbled god is great beer is good and people are crazy only for a voice to say "Damn right you are and I think I know what happened so do you want open cockpit or closed?" And it was Lisa who was hovering and chris pulled up and using her lighter she started to warm her sister as a swimmer dove in and loaded her on a basket. "well what do you think we should do when she gets back I vote strap her to the bed and take her extra batteries and strap her into the bed so she can't get to the 64 and with a laugh "Megan is rubbing off on you and lets go home." And as they landed they started crying get over here and here's some drinks I was given and pulls out watermelon wine and humming watermelon crawl they yelled "when your spinning around things come undone then sipped and started singing rather off key "after round five or round 6 I forgot what we came to forget" and as they drank they were helped to the bunks praying they weren't going to be hung-over.
All of them accept for Chris who'd been drinking with Richard since the alarm went was stripping on the floor to the guys yelling "tequila makes her clothes fall off" and as they helped her toward the edge of the quarters and her strawberry blonde hair was all over the front of her face as the 3 bottle of patron she stomached started to make an appearance and her sister trying to calm her said "ending up on the brink of danger riding shotgun for the Texas rangers" and Chris sang back "Stealing those young girls hearts just like gene and Roy we shoulda been a cowboy" and she then helped her sis back to bed seeing that she was bleeding from a head wound just like Shelby and they both were told by Lisa "yall look like you just stumbled into raccoon city and slaughtered the whole town so bed time for both of you". Looking at veronika, who was coolly sipping on a bottle of vodka straight, asked what the hell are you doing and don't mind the straight shooting of the liquor because I know you are jealous and Antonia do you want a slug before we go out for the night?"
As her sister suited up she said "when we get back tomorrow morning Ill have one and then we'll have wake them up and Shirino you and Yurino will be have to lock up the swords for tomorrow" then they suited up and left to the sounds of some girls do blaring through the speakers in the hangar then they started another day under the moon and the shimmering Atlantic ocean.
