Hey guys. :D Guess what, new chapter. :D
Late like usual eh? Well, I just hope you enjoy it is all. I won't promise not to end with another cliffhanger – because I enjoy them. We'll see right?
Raven's POV
"I know it's you." His voice rang out behind me. "No one else has hair that beautiful."
"Garfield-" I started before he cut me off.
"I'm going with you tonight you know." He said as he grasped my hand. "Don't shut me out. Let me try."
"Fine." I sighed and let him entwine our fingers.
"Thank you. I've missed you so much. You were my best friend." He led me away from the crowd and to the courtyard. "I'm sorry for everything I did Raven."
I didn't say anything, just stared off ahead.
"Rae, I know I messed up. I just, I thought I could trust him. My father told me how he was a good person – so I just thought that… I thought if I went against John I was going against my father. I needed a father figure, he was the only one I had." He dropped his head. "I love you Rae, you're the best person I've ever known."
"I love you too Gar." I whispered.
He looked up at me and then kissed me softly. "I don't think you understand what I mean." He said after releasing my lips.
"Yes I do." I whispered and closed the gap once again.
This kiss lasted longer, but still not long enough to make up for all the time we'd been apart. When we broke apart we heard footsteps so we went back to the ball room. He never let go of my hand.
Star POV
I was wandering around, mainly looking for Ellanora so I could tell her what was going on tonight. I hadn't spotted Richard, but I knew I could find him later. That's when I saw Prince John talking to a general – who looked very familiar to me.
"How will things change after this?" The general said.
"Well," John smiled maliciously. "After tonight the entirety of the village will have turned against the rebels, due to the death of their beloved princess."
Death of their princess? I was internally freaking out.
"How is her death going to be executed?"
"That is for me to know, and everyone else to discover later tonight."
"Very well. What of the prince?"
"He'll be hot with anger, he'll be ready to lay down his life fighting against the rebels. His life will be ended, not by the rebels I assure you."
"And your daughter?"
Wait, daughter? John doesn't have any kids.
"She looks more and more like her mother every day." John sighed. "I only wish Cousin Henry hadn't stolen them away from me all of those years ago."
"Aye brother, but the wretched woman got what she deserved." The man grinned evilly. "She believes you remarried and didn't want her – I believe that hurt her worse than being banished."
John nodded. "After this I will reveal myself as Star's father."
What?!
What? I ended with a bombshell and didn't resolve the cliffhanger ending from last time? I must be a cruel person eh? Nah, I'm just starting the next chapter with the resolution to that cliffhanger.
But on the bright side I cleared up some questions left by the last memory of Star's mother. Good right? I thought so.
I can't promise I won't take forever – because school is beating me up omg.
Stay classy dolls! Thanks for reading.
