Yami: It's about time Soccer, where were you? under a rock?
Soccer: Haha, very funny Yami. No I wasn't under a rock, i just got busy at work and with my summer class that i was really tired. I am at home so updates will come a lot more frequently.
Serena: Yay! So this story will be done soon?
Soccer: I am hoping by the time i go back to school. Though I think our readers have waited long enough lets get on with it!
Serena and Yami: Right! Soccer doesn't own anything.
Chapter 10: Mime Control Part 2
As Kaiba and Mokuba were out searching, Yami's duel was still not doing his way. Marik was closer to summoning his Egyptian God Card and possibly taking Yami's power and Serena away from him.
"History may be on your side Pharaoh, but destiny is on mine as I draw closer to winning your puzzle and your queen. Once I possess both, only the final Egyptian God Card will be left to claim. When I do then I'll be the Pharaoh. You're not worthy of the powers that are hidden within you. So I'll take them!" Marik claimed, "For as long I can remember I was taught to obey the ancient scriptures and protect the pharaoh and queen's tombs. Now I realize that your time as Pharaoh has expired, and I must take your place and your puzzle is the key to your power."
"Then why involve Serena in this?" Yami demanded.
"Serena is the reincarnation of the Queen and her power is just as a great as yours. She is loyal to the Pharaoh and when I have your power she will have to be loyal to me." Marik answered.
Serena balled her fists, "As if I would be loyal to a maniac like you! You have no right to tell me who and who I should not be loyal to."
"That is what you believe your majesty."
Yami glared at Marik. He wish he knew more about what happened on the ancient past, but he knew that he couldn't let Marik win. Yami drew his card, and since he couldn't attack he had to end his turn. Now that it was Marik's turn, his gem breeding machine created the third and final gem token needed to summon his Egyptian God Card.
The sky turned dark as lightning cracked around the field. Marik told Yami and Serena to prepare to meet a force that they have never faced before. He sacrificed the Gem Breeding Machine and the three Gem tokens in order to summon the beast of Yami's destruction.
"A beast whose power is absolutely limitless." Marik laughed as the lightning continued to crack along the playing field, "Meet your maker, Pharaoh. The last monster you'll ever see, The Egyptian God, Slifer the Sky Dragon!"
Yami and Serena watched as the red and black dragon with two mouths appeared on the field. When it roared they felt it tremendous power.
"How can I stop it?" Yami thought aloud.
"You're staring into the eyes of defeat Pharaoh! Slifer the Sky dragon is one of three most feared creatures in history, the Egyptian God Monster. They cannot be defeated." Marik explained.
"Every monster has a weakness, and I'll find yours!" Yami exclaimed.
"You're in no position to make threats. You're trapped in my nightmare steel cage with no way to attack. Plus your face to face with an Egyptian God whose power is limitless. All you can do is watch as it grows stronger!"
"Stronger? But how?" Serena questioned.
Marik explained that Slifer's attack power depends on how many cards he holds in his hands. Since he held two cards in his hand, Slifer's attack power was 2000, which made it weaker than that of Yami's Buster Bladder. Marik however played Pot of Greed, gaining two more cards and giving Slifer 3000 attack points.
"There is a limit on how many cards a person can hold in duel monster." Serena said, "So there is a limit to Slifer's strength."
"You're quite foolish your majesty. Don't you know that every rule is made to be broken?" Marik said.
They have no idea of the destructive power the God Cards have, since they don't have their memories of the days that they devastated the earth. Marik thought. But they'll learn about Slifer's power the hard way since I have the cards needed to make his power limitless.
"I'm afraid any hopes you have for survival are in vain. No has ever been able to defeat an Egyptian God Card." Marik said.
Yami knew that he had to try, but Marik believed that Slifer would defeat the Pharaoh in one blast and then he would be able to send Yami to the shadow realm.
/We gotta figure out a way to take down that dragon/ Yugi thought.
/./I know, and Buster Bladder gains 500 points for every dragon that is on the field/./ Yami reminded.
/You're right. So that would put Buster Bladder's attack power at 3100./
/./Right with it being stronger than Marik's monster. Buster Bladder would take Marik's Dragon out in one swipe of its lance, but we can't attack since we're in this cage/./
Yugi nodded, /Right and by that time his dragon may be to strong/
Yami bit his lip, trying to figure out what do with his next move. Marik told Yami that Slifer would only get stronger as he drew more cards, and that on his next turn, Slifer would have 4000 life points, which made it more than enough to wipe out Yami's Buster Bladder and a good chunk of his life points.
"Your reign is over Yami. Hand over your puzzle and the Queen, and accept the enviable." Marik laughed.
"Never!" Yami retailed, "I'll trust my deck."
Yami drew his card and was hoping that it would help out, but he couldn't do anything since he was trapped for one more turn. He needed to trust the heart of the cards and hang on for one more turn. Marik laughed at Yami's foolishness to continue the duel.
"You've had your chance to be Pharaoh Yami with the Queen by your side. Now it's time for me to rule the world." Marik remarked.
"You're a fool Marik!" Serena yelled.
Marik looked to the girl, "I am not!"
"You are! You think that you can control me just because you have Yami's power! You have no idea what your doing!" Serena remarked.
"I know exactly what I am doing your majesty. You will be by my side soon enough." Marik smirked.
Yami glared at Marik, knowing that he would stop Marik from taking Serena from him. Yami placed two cards face down and then played Kuriboh in defense mode. Marik smirked, it was time for Yami to feel the wrath of an Egyptian God Card.
Serena started to grow worried as she watched the Nightmare Steel Cage melt away, and Yami was wide open for an attack.
"Your about to witness an ancient force so powerful that it almost destroyed the Earth." Marik laughed. "You are powerless against Slifer!"
Marik drew his card and Slifer gained another 1000 points. Marik had his Egyptain God attack, but when Yami activated his trap card, Light Force Sword, he was caught off guard. Yami used his Light Force Sword in order to take a card from Marik's hand and render it useless for the duration of the turn, making Slifer's attack only 3000 and weaker than Buster Bladder.
Yami had his Buster Bladder attack the dragon, and he thought that the Egyptian God Card had been defeated. However, right before the attack could happen, Marik's revival Gem stepped in front and stopped the attack.
"You forgot that my gem defender is still in play. My Revival Gem will intercept all of your attacks." Marik smirked. "And from now on, this magic card will also be in play."
Marik played Card of Safe Return. Serena gasped when she saw it. Yami was confused and Serena explained that it allowed Marik to draw three cards every time his Revival Gem regenerated after an attack. This out the number of cards in Marik hand up to five giving Slifer the Sky Dragon 5000 attack and defense points. Yami was stunned and was unsure of what to do.
Meanwhile, Mina had just finished up her duel for her fifth locator card. The group congratulated her on her win. She smiled and told them that she had it in the bag without a problem. Joey was sitting on the plantar lost in thought. However when a duelist was looking for a duel he was ignored.
"You should have challenged him. You would have beat him 1, 2, 3." Tristan said. "Come on, your just two locator cards away from the finals."
"He was a light weight." Joey said.
The answer confused Tristan.
"I have a reputation to uphold here. I just can't go around dueling every inexperienced duelist."
"You're out of your mind. I don't care if he can't even play go fish, his locator card is just as valuable as anyone else's and you need them now."
"Look Tristan, you don't know how it feels. I came in second place at duelist kingdom, that puts a lot of pressure on my to kick some serious ass in this tournament. No one is gonna claim that Joey Wheeler did it the easy way." Joey explained as the group looked at him, "Plus after the way I've been dueling lately, I'm ready to take on anyone and I mean anyone."
Everyone looked at Joey and Grandpa agreed that his dueling skills have improved a lot especially after his last two duels, but being a great duelist is requires to know that there is always more to learn.
"Well what do we have here?" They heard.
Every turned in the direction the voice and saw Kaiba and Mokuba standing there.
"What is a complete amateur like you doing wearing one of my duel disk?" Kaiba asked.
"Amateur?" Joey questioned. "I'm going straight to the top."
Kaiba was annoyed but was going to deal with it later. He was about turn and then noticed Mina there but didn't say anything. He made eye contact, but Mina stayed silent and looked away from him.
"Is there something that you would like to tell me Mina?" Kaiba asked.
Mina kept her eyes down and stayed silent, annoying Kaiba to no end. He told Mokuba that it was time to go and they had wasted enough time.
Fine, if she doesn't want to talk, then I'll her alone, for now anyways. I have better things to do than waste my time with her. Kaiba thought.
Joey on the other hand saw this as an opportunity.
"Tristan, I think I feel a challenge coming on here." Joey smirked.
"Maybe you should save Kaiba for the finals." Tristan said.
"Hey Kaiba do you want a piece of me?" Joey challenged.
Mina, Rini, and Jayden heard the challenge and knew something bad was going to happen, same with everyone else. The challenge caused Kaiba and Mokuba to turn around and face the group.
"Nobody disses me in front of my friends." Joey said.
"Joey, you're an okay duelist and all, but playing against you would be a big waste of my big brothers time." Mokuba said.
"This won't take long Mokuba." Kaiba commented.
Jayden and Rini watched on talking to themselves, while Mokuba grew jealous of how close they were. Jayden saw Mokuba looking at Rini and glared at the boy and stepped closer to Rini. Mokuba was shocked for a second but shook it off. Mina on the other hand was growing worried. She had a feeling that this was going to get out hand.
Joey and Kaiba got their decks out and were getting ready to duel.
"Let's rock and roll." Joey said.
Kaiba huffed, "You fool. Looks like I'll have to teach you to behave, just like the dog you are."
"Hey Rini, has your Godfather ever beaten your uncle?" Jayden asked.
"No, he hasn't." Rini answered.
"Kaiba you're toast." Joey exclaimed.
Mina knew that she had to stop this duel before Joey got embarrassed. Before either of them could draw their card Mina ran over to them.
"Enough of this!" She yelled as she ran in between the two duelists.
"Mina, move so I can beat this jerk." Joey said.
"No I will not. You really need to rethink this Joey." Mina said, glaring at Joey.
Kaiba smirked as he put his duelist disk down, "I was wondering if you still had a voice. If you really want me to stop Mina, then tell me what you have been up to this past week?"
Mina looked at Kaiba in shock but before she could answer, a strong wind started to blow. Joey, Tristan, Tea, and grandpa covered their eyes while everyone else looked up and saw Kaiba's helicopter.
"Mr. Kaiba, an Egyptain God Card was played five minutes ago. We'll fly you to it." They heard.
"Huh, it's your lucky day." Kaiba said.
The gang looked up and noticed that Kaiba and Mokuba were on a ladder flying off.
"Later Joey! We've got a date with an Egyptian God Card." Mokuba yelled.
Joey chuckled, "then it's your lucky day, punk. I was about to wipe the street with ya. You better run from me."
Joey let out a breath as the copter went flying off. Mina on the other hand stood there shocked as Kaiba used the duel to get her to talk.
"Mina why did you stop the duel?" Tristan asked.
"I'm wondering the same thing. Are you on that jerks side?" Joey asked.
Mina turned to them with her fists balled, "Of course I'm not his side! How could I be, but you do realize that he is the host and sponsor of Battle City? Not to mention that he built the duel disks and owns three blue eyes. If I didn't step in you could have been seriously hurt Joey!"
Mina was breathing heavily from her outburst, trying to calm down. The group was surprised at her outburst and it made Joey and Tristan feel guilty about accusing her of being on the same side as Kaiba.
Joey sighed, "I'm sorry Mina. I'll choose my battles more wisely next time."
Mina smiled and then looked in the direction of where the copter went wonder just what Seto was doing then. Rini and Jayden went over to Mina and grabbed her hand telling her that everything would be alright.
Kaiba and Mokuba got seated in the chopper as they flew to where the god card had been played. They were told that the duel where the God card was activated involved Yugi and Kaiba had a plan in order to make the card his.
Back at the duel, Slifer attack and destroyed Yami's Buster Bladder, while taking a chunk out of his life points.
Yami: 2100
Strings: 3000
"Do you surrender yet?" Marik asked, "You're finished. Slifer will only continue to get stronger. And thanks to my Gem Defender you can't attack and I will continue to draw cards while Slifer gets stronger. Don't you realize that there is no way you can win? Hand over your puzzle and her Majesty."
Yami bit his lip and glared at Marik. Serena looked on as Yami was struggling. She didn't know what to do to help him out. She grasped her crystal in between her hands and started to pray that he could win.
/none of our monsters are strong enough to beat his god card/ Yugi said.
/./I know, we need the right magic card/./ Yami replied.
/The heart of the cards will guide us/
Yami agreed as he drew his next card. He drew Magic Cylinders but he needed to combine it with a magician in order for it to work. Good thing he had Dark Magician Girl in his hand. Yami sacrificed Kuriboh to summon Dark Magician Girl (2000/1700) in defense mode.
"By summoning a new monster to the field, you've activated my dragon's special ability." Marik said.
"Oh no." Serena gasped.
"Its second mouth." Marik laughed. "Even if it's your turn, Slifer will attack every new monster that you summon with it's second set of jaws."
"Slifer is full of surprises." Yami mumbled.
"Slifer will wipe out 2000 points from whatever mode your monster is in. Say goodbye to your dark magician girl."
Yami realized that he was in trouble, but he knew that he could get out of it. Marik thought that he would have succeeded in taking out the defense of the Dark Magician girl, but the one thing he didn't expect was for Yami to have another card waiting.
"It really is a pity that your magician had to leave us so soon." Marik said.
"Who says she's gone?" Yami asked.
"I did." Marik growled.
"Guess again. I activated Magical Hats just in time."
"So she's hiding inside one of those hats?"
"Not just hiding, she's inside one of them preparing a counter attack."
"Yami, your monster isn't strong enough to beat Slifer." Marik Laughed.
"It's true that your dragon is powerful Marik, but Yami has faith and I have faith in him." Serena yelled.
Yami nodded and played two more cards face down beneath the magical hats. Marik told Yami that his magical hats only gave him a defense for a limited time, but in the meantime he was going to play a magic card of his own that would make his dragon's power infinite.
"You see infinite card, allows me to exceed to six card limit." Marik explained.
"No, that can't be!" Yami exclaimed.
Marik smirked as he explained that since Slifer gets 1000 points for every card in his hand, so with the magic card infinite card, his dragon's power was limitless. Marik had Slifer attack the right hand hat and Yami clenched his teeth telling Marik that he made a lucky guess at where his Dark Magician Girl was hiding.
"This duel isn't over." Yami said.
"It may as well be. Your monster is now destroyed." Marik smirked.
However the one thing Marik didn't expect was for the Dark Magician Girl to absorb the attack. Marik also didn't expect Yami to hide two trap cards under the same hat as his Dark Magician Girl. Yami used his Spellbinding Circle to weaken Slifer and then used Magic Cylinder to redirect Slifers attack right back at him. Yami thought that his attack would be successful, but the revival gem stepped in, blocking the attack.
Yami was surprised that the revival gem blocked the redirected attack. Since the Revival Gem regenerated, Marik drew three more cards raising Slifers points to 7300. He then drew another card making Slifers points over 8000. Yami looked at the God with shock, muttering that it was unstoppable. Then as the spellbinding circle trap cad expired, Slifer gained back those 700 attack points its lost giving the dragon 9000. Marik had Slifer attack the Dark Magician girl.
"Behold the five card combination that makes me unbeatable. When these five cards are played together, it creates a strategy that cannot be defeated. My Egyptian god Card will continue to grow stronger and your attacks are useless." Marik laughed.
Serena looked on and saw Yami drop to one knee before he landed on his hands and knees trembling.
"Yami you can't let him win. You can't let him get your puzzle or me." Serena said. "You have to get up!"
Yami squeezed his eyes shut not listening.
/././Yugi is there anything you can do to get Yami out of this?/././ Serema asked her brother.
/No, I've tried/ Yugi answered.
Serena looked at Yami with worry and fear that he would give up.
"Get on your feet Yugi." They heard.
Serena and Yami turned and saw Kaiba and Mokuba standing on top of the ravine walls.
"Since when do bow to your rivals?" Kaiba asked
"Never." Yami answered.
"Then get up and stop embarrassing yourself. You can beat this nobody and relieve him of his Egyptian God. Do it now."
Yami bit his lip and Serena balled her fists.
"Kaiba there is more to this than you can ever know." Serena yelled.
"All I see is someone who is cowering. Yugi can take down Slifer the Sky Dragon. All he has to do is find out its weakness. Unless of course you've lost your touch." Kaiba said, "Prove it to me now and bring this dragon down."
Once I learn its weakness, I'll take it from Yugi and then I'll have to most powerful deck in the world. Kaiba thought. "If you have what it takes the take down Slifer. Unless you don't have what it takes, then maybe your Duelist Kingdom victory was just a fluke."
Yami closed his eyes as he stood up, "I will defeat him Kaiba, I assure you."
Yami turned his attention to Marik and declared that it was over. Marik laughed and said that his God card was unstoppable. He then turned to Kaiba and told him that he was next on his list. Kaiba laughed and told him to save his breath and that his empty threats don't scare him.
"This duel isn't over yet Marik!" Yami yelled.
/We need to find a way to defeat his Egyptian God Card/ Yugi said.
/./I know but none of your monster are strong enough to defeat it. That dragon has 10,000 attack points. Plus he grows stronger with every card that he draws././ Yami replied.
/He has to have some weakness and we'll find it/
Yami drew his card thinking that it could come in handy. He placed one card face down and summoned Big Shield Gardna (100/2600) in defense mode. By summoning a new monster, Yami activated Slifer's second mouth draining his monster of 2000 defense points.
"Yugi won't last much longer." Mokuba noticed.
"He better last long enough for me to learn Slifer the Sky Dragon's weakness. Then I can defeat it later and add it to my collection." Kaiba said.
"How is he gonna do that?" Mokuba asked, "That dragons power keeps growing."
They noticed that Yugi's monster survived the attack, barely. Yami clenched his teeth as Marik laughed and bragged that Slofer would devastate Yami's monsters as soon as they were summoned to the field. Marik asked where Yami's faith in the cards was at now.
"Now observe, while I draw and add another 1000 attack points to my dragon giving him 11,000." Marik laughed.
Serena gasped as she witnessed the Dragon roar. She looked at the Dragon and noticed something about it that was off. The roar wasn't one of strength, but it was of pain.
Yami you have to win. Serena thought as she continued to grasp her crystal.
Mokuba and Seto were talking amongst themselves about the cards that were already out on the field. With infinite cards there was no limit to how many cards Marik could hold and no limit to Slifers power. This made Kaiba realize something.
Wait Slifer's power depends on how many cards the player has in his entire deck. That's it. Slifer the Sky Dragon has one major flaw, now lets see if Yugi is duelist enough to figure it out. Kaiba thought.
"Now my Sky Dragon attack and destroy that shield." Marik commanded the dragon, "Soon that puzzle, Serena, and the world will be mine!"
Kaiba figured out how to defeat Slifer and wondered if Yugi wold also figure it out.
"You're completely defenseless Pharaoh. The next time my sky dragon attacks your finished. It's unbeatable." Marik laughed.
/We can't let Marik win the puzzle or Serena/ Yugi said.
/./This is the first time we've faced something so powerful/./ Yami added.
/You're right Yami, and the more cards he draws the more powerful it gets./
That made Yami realize something /./And that's how we'll defeat it././
"I will make Slifer destroy itself." Yami said.
"About time." Kaiba muttered.
Mokuba was confused on what Yami meant.
"What makes you think you can?" Marik asked.
"It's a simple matter of common sense. If all of my monsters are too weak, then I must use your monster to destroy itself." Yami explained.
"Haven't you realized that an Egyptian God Card can't be controlled? It's much too powerful, Pharaoh?"
"We'll see. Maybe you don't have as much knowledge about the Egyptian God Cards as you think you do."
"How dare you challenge my knowledge of the ancient ways?! I know all!" Marik outbursted.
Serena giggled, "I guess we'll find out how much you know soon enough Marik."
Marik glared at the two telling them that he would like to see Yami try to turn slifer against him. Mokuba was unsure that Yami could control Slifer since it was so powerful. He asked his brother what Yami meant. Kaiba explained that Slifer's greatest strength was also its greatest weakness. Mokuba was still confused though.
Marik told Yami to make his move as it would be his last. Yami knew that if he didn't draw the right card now then it would be all over. He had faith that the heart of the cards would guide him. Yami drew the card that he need but that's only half of the strategy. Yami played his face down card, Monster reborn, brining back his Buster Bladder.
"What? My dragon's already destroyed that monster once. Plus bringing it back to defend your life points will only delay your ultimate defeat." Marik said.
Yami smirked, "Take a closer look Marik, it's not defending. Buster Blader has been summoned in attack mode."
Marik thought that Yami was a fool for putting his Buster Bladder in attack mode and winning his puzzle was a simpler task than he originally thought. Yami however wasn't done yet, he was going to put and end to this duel by relying on one final sword attack. Marik laughed and asked if Yami had forgotten about his five-card combination that made Slifer unstoppable. He gave Yami a quick run down of each card.
Since Yami had summoned a monster, Marik drew three more card bringing Slifers points up to 14,000. After that Slifers second mouth activated blasting 2000 attack points from Buster Bladder.
"Your Buster Bladder may have survived that blast, but it wont survive the next." Marik mentioned, "Your reign as Pharaoh is almost over so prepare to hand over your puzzle and her Majesty. In my next turn your monster and your life points will be completely wiped out."
"If you have a next turn Marik!" Serena yelled.
"She's right, there won't be a next turn for you. Once my Buster Bladder attacks your Egyptian God Card you'll be defeated Marik." Yami claimed, "Now watch as my plan to slay your indestructible dragon begins."
Mokuba thought that Yami had lost his mind, while Seto knew that if Yami's planned worked then his suspicions about Slifer will be confirmed.
"Time for me to win this duel right now." Yami declared.
"I'm ready for your pathetic attack."
Everyone was anticipating what would happen. Yami had his Buster Bladder attack Slifer, but the Revival Gem blocked the attack. However Yami wasn't done yet, he needed Revival Gem to regenerate first. Yami played his next card Brain Control. Mokuba kind of understood Yami's plan, but he thought that Slifer was too strong to be controlled.
Marik laughed, "Sorry Yami, it's not that simple. All magic cards are useless against an Egyptian God. Now you'll pay the price for such a foolish mistake."
Yami smirked, "Don't be so sure. Who told you I was after your dragon?"
"You're not?" Marik questioned.
"No, there's another monster on your field that I'm after, and I'll control him."
Yami took control of the Revival Gem and Marik asked what he could possibly do, since it can't hurt Slifer. Since Revical Gem reformed, Marik had to draw three new cards. Marik thought that he had the duel won, and was about to attack the Buster Baldder, but since a new monster appeared on Yami's side of the field, Slifers second mouth had attack it. Revival Gem revived itself and marik had to draw three new cards.
Marik realized that his dragon would continue to attack revival gem and he would have to draw three more cards. He was trapped.
"Once you run out of cards to draw you will automatically loose this duel." Yami said.
"No, this can't be happening." Marik realized.
Serena smiled as she walked up to Yami, "As powerful as your Egyptian God Card is, every monster isn't without a weakness. Your dragon's weakness lies within itself, its second mouth attack."
"I turned your dragon against you, causing you to use all the cards in your deck." Yami said, "That means I win. It's over!"
"No! How could I loose with an Egyptian God Card in my deck?!" Marik exclaimed, "You'll pay Yami! You may have defeated Slifer, but I hold another Egyptian God Card, a much more powerful one. So savior this victory as it will be your last!"
The holograms disappeared and Serena hugged Yami excited that he had won. Mokuba was surprised that he won and said that it was an awesome comeback as he ran down the ravine to Strings telling him that he had to hand over Slifer to Yugi. Mokuba looked down and noticed it lying there. As he looked at it, he wished him and Seto could keep it.
Yami and Serena walked over to Mokuba and he handed the card and the locator card over to Yami. He mentioned not to get to attached to it because Kaiba had his eye on it to.
"I must be careful with this." Yami said.
"Yami can see the card really fast?" Serena asked.
Yami nodded and handed it to the girl. As she looked it over Kaiba came down and told Yami that he was impressed that he figured out how to defeat Slifer and that it was a shame that he wouldn't be able to hold on to it for too long.
"Why not?" Yami asked.
"You and I are going to duel right now. Then when I win, slifer will be where it belongs in my deck. You see I'm already in possession of one Egyptian God Card and I plan to win the others. Now it's time to duel. Once I win Slifer from you, then I'll only have one more and then ill be the number one duelist in the world."
Before Yami could answer, a chuckle was heard and it broke Serena out of her trance of staring at Slifer.
"I've had enough of your mid tricks Marik! It's time to show yourself!" Yami demanded.
"Don't worry my Pharaoh and Queen, you'll meet me soon than you think. I am on my way to Battle City as we speak. Once I'm there the next phase of my plan will begin. "I have rare hunters all over Battle City and I can see all. I see the Millennium Puzzle and Her Majesty that will be mine. I see a defenseless city waiting to be conquered and I see potential mind slaves in every crowd. I am always searching for potential servants to add to my army of rare hunters, I wonder who will be next? So tell me Your Majesty's who would make the best mind slave? Tea? Joey? Or Perhaps Mina?"
When Marik mentioned Mina's name, Kaiba balled his fists. If anything were to happen to Mina, then Marik would pay.
"You leave them alone Marik!" Yami yelled.
"We're warning you!" Serena also yelled.
"Well it appears that I hit a sensitive spot, have i? Maybe I can use your friends to get what I want."
"We told you to leave them alone!"
Marik told them that their friends were meaningless to him and he had nothing to loose and the whole world to gain. Yami and Serena were not having it and threatened Marik that if anything were to happen to their friends Marik would regret it. They did nothing to him and that he had to score to settle with Yami and Serena.
Marik also mentioned that their loyalty to their friends would destroy them just like his dragon's weakness destroyed it. Marik freed Strong and he collapsed and Yami and Serena started to take off in the opposite direction.
"Hey get back here right now!" Kaiba demanded.
Serena and Yami stopped and faced the CEO.
"Our duel will have to wait Kaiba." Yami said.
"Our friends and my cousin are in great danger. There safety is more important to us than anything in this world." Serena said as they took off again.
Mokuba and Kaiba watched them go. Mokuba wished them good luck while Kaiba muttered that running away from a duel was against tournament rules. Though deep down, he was worried for Mina's safety.
Meanwhile coming up to shore was Marik. He had finally arrived and even though he lost an Egyptian God Card to Yami, he had the millennium rod and Serena and Yami's friends at his disposal he had nothing to loose. Marik shedded his purple cloak and hopped on his bike and took off.
This time Yami and Serena are in a battle that they can't win. Soon I'll have the millennium puzzle and Serena and then the world will cower at my feet. Marik internally laughed.
