Chapter Ten: Courage, Fear, Regret

She took a deep breath before she slowly walked up to the police station. As she entered her heart began to beat wildly as she walked up to the front desk. "May I help you, Ma'am?" A man with dark brown hair and dark brown eyes asked. "Yes, I am here to see Detective Ramsey." She said as she held her head up. "Okay what's your name?" He asked. "Miss Tuskino." She answered, " Okay, let me tell him you are here. Have a seat over there." He said as he stood up. She turned around and walked over to the chairs that were sitting across from he front desk. The man behind is walked around and headed towards Detective Ramsey's office.

He knocked and waited for an answer. "Come in." A voice said from the other side. The man opened the door and poked his head in. "Sir Miss Tuskino is here to see you." He said. "Great, please send her in." He answered without looking at the man. The man closed the door and turned back towards the front desk. He stood next to her. "Miss Tuskino you may go on into his office." "Thank you Officer." She said sweetly as she stood up and walked towards his office.

As she reached his office she knocked softly. "Come in." He said from the other side. She slowly opened the door and stepped inside, closing the door behind her. "Thanks for coming in Miss Tuskino, may I ask why you called me today?" He asked. "Yes, I have decided to go undercover and try to help you catch Diamond." She answered. He stared at her in disbelief for a moment. "What made you change your mind?" He asked. "Well today, a friend of mine came home with Darien and Diamond had beaten him pretty badly. He was trying to find me. I can't let anymore people that I care about get hurt because of my selfishness. I want to end this tonight." She answered. "I understand Miss Tuskino." He began. "Please just call me Serena." She interrupted. He smiled softly at her. "Okay Miss Serena. I would like to go over a few procedures with you that we go over with all our undercover agents and personal." He said. She nodded in response.

Back at the Cabin

After Serena left Andrew sat on the couch in front of the fireplace and stared into the fire. He wanted to honor his promise to Serena about not telling Darien until morning. but he had a bad feeling about the whole situation. What if something happen to her and he just sat here and said nothing. He knew he could never live with himself. After a few more minutes he got up from the couch and walked into the kitchen towards Darien's room. He opened the door and walked in.

He walked over to Darien's side of the bed and shook him gently. Darien mumbled and stirred in his sleep as he felt someone shake him. He rolled over and looked up at Andrew. "Drew, what is it?" He asked sleepily. "Darien...I have to tell you something about Serena." He said calmly as he looked away from his friend. Darien's eyes opened wide and looked over at her side of the bed to find it empty. He then sat up in bed and looked over at Andrew. "Where is she?" He asked. Andrew looked down at the floor before he answered. "She's not here...She left to go see Detective Ramsey." He said. "What?" Darien yelled as he threw the covers off his legs and flopped them over the side of the bed. "Darien calm down." Andrew started. "Why didn't you try and stop her? Do you have any idea what she is going to do?" Darien continued to yell as he got out of bed.

Andrew watched Darien as he scrambled to get his clothes on. "Yes I know exactly what she is going to do and to be honest with you I had promised her not to tell you until in the morning when you asked where she was. I believe she knows what she is doing and I trust her as you should." He answered a little irritated at Darien. Darien stopped and turned around to face his friend. "Its not that I don't trust her Andrew...I am scared that something bad is going to happen to her and I am not going to be there to stop it.." He said calmly. "I understand that and believe me I feel the same way..but you must put yourself in her shoes and realize how she feels..Look at me, Diamond did this to me, trying to find her..Though I don't blame her for this, I still understand how she feels. She blames herself for what happened to me and I can't say that I wouldn't feel the same way if something like this happened to one of my friends on my behalf." Andrew answered calmly.

Darien sat down on the bed and hung his head. "What should I do?" He asked. "Give her til morning...if you can't stay here that long.. then sit outside the night club and wait for her..but know if you decided to do that, I am coming with you.." He answered. Darien looked over at Andrew. "I guess I should be asking what would you do." He said. Andrew sighed as he stared his friend in the eyes. "If it we me, I would go down there and stop her, but you and I both know that we can't do that, so I suggest we go down there and wait inside the night club undetected and make sure nothing goes wrong. Detective Ramsey and some of his men will be there waiting outside as well." He answered. Darien nodded in agreement.

Dark Moon Night Club...

She walked into the night club with her head held high. The Bouncer smiled and nodded at her as she walked into the front door. She made her way through the crowed as she headed towards his office. Her heart was beating wildly as she was scared out of her wits end but she would never let it show on her face, she couldn't. She raised a shaky hand as she reached his office door. She forced herself to knock quietly. "Come in.." She heard a voice said from with in the office. She slowly reached from the door nob and turned it slowly. She forced herself to open the door and walk in.

He looked up from his desk to find her standing in front of the door as she closed it behind her. A smirk crept across his face as he stood up from his desk. "Well Raven, what a pleasant surprise." He said as he walked around his desk closer to her. "Hello Diamond, I am sorry I didn't make it Friday night, something came up." She answered calmly as he slowly approached her. He chuckled slightly as he reached her and stood face to face with her. He ran his hand through her hair. "To be honest I thought you had skipped out on me." He said smoothly. She smiled sweetly at him. "Of course not, I came to my senses and realized this is where I belong, I just couldn't make it Friday, I am so sorry." She answered. He only smiled down at her. As she looked into his eyes, it seemed to her that he was buying her story which worked out in her favor.

"Good, I am glad you finally realized that, now get out there and do your thing, I have had a lot of customers ask for you." He said as he backed up a little from her. She smiled sweetly at him. "You got it." She said as she turned around to the door. He grinned and smacked her on the ass, catching her off guard. "Go make me some money and come see me when your finished." He said. She turned her head to face him and forced a smile on her face. "Yes, Sir." She answered as she turned back around and exited his office.

Darien and Andrew finally arrived at the night club around twelve am. They quickly got out of the car and walked up to the front door to the night club. They showed their ID's to the bouncer at the door before they were let in. As they walked in they saw Serena up on stage dancing the same dance she danced the last time they were here. They made their way to a corner in the back of the night club, where there wouldn't be seen by Serena or Diamond. A few minutes after they arrived Serena's number ended and she walked off stage...

As she walked off stage she took a deep breath and changed her clothes quickly before going back to Diamonds office. As she walked out of the dressing room he met her at the door. Shock appeared all over her face. "Diamond..." She whispered softly. "You were good out there Raven...The best I believe I have ever seen you.." He said. She smiled softly at him. "Thank you. You said you wanted to see me after I performed?" She asked. "Yes, please follow me to my office." He said as he led the way. She followed him closely to his office. As they entered his office he turned and shut the door and locked it behind him.

Outside the Night Club

Detective Ramsey and a few of his officers sat in a van outside the Dark Moon night club. They had been listening closely to Serena's conversation to Diamond and had waited after her performance to hear more. As they heard them enter a room, that they assumed was Diamonds office. They heard a sound, what they assumed was the door being locked and instantly became alarmed for her safety, but stayed with the van just in case it was nothing serious.

Inside Diamond's Office

Serena turned around when she heard the clicking of the lock to Diamonds office door. She faced him with a smile on her face. "What is it, you wanted to speak to me about?" She asked as calmly as she could. Truth was she was terrified inside. Was he going to rape her again or worse kill her? He smiled devilishly as he slowly approached her. "Raven you know you are my most precious girl, right?" He asked. "Of course." She answered without any hesitation. Her mind was screaming for her to get out of that office, but she stayed put, she had to put an end to this, so she could live a happy life with Darien and her friends.

He closed the gap between them and placed his hands on her shoulders. "You know that your mine forever and that there is only one way out of here, right?" "Of course." She replied as she studied him closely. "Good." He said as he wrapped his arms around her waist and began kissing her neck. She took a deep breath as she closed her eyes. She wasn't so sure about this anymore as he slowly began pushing her backwards. As she felt her back hit against the wall, she felt her whole body start to tremble. She felt his hands start to roam over her body. feeling her up.. "Diamond.." She choked out as his hands reached her waist.

He ignored her and continued to kiss her neck and proceed to unbutton her jeans. "Diamond stop.." She pleaded as she tried to push his hands away. His head snapped up from her neck and he roughly grabbed her wrist and pinned them against the wall. "I told you Raven, you are mine forever!" He growled. Tears began to fall from her eyes. "There's only one way you get out of this." He continued as he tightened his hold around her wrist. "Diamond, your hurting me.." She cried. "I will do a lot worse if you don't give me what I want!" He yelled. "What kill me? Go for it, it'd be better than this!" She cried.

A smirk appeared on his face as he stared into her eyes. "Nah, that would be too easy. I will find your little boyfriend and his friend, kill them slowly while you watch. Then I will have my way with you whenever I want to!" He chuckled evilly. Terror appeared all over her face as his words hit her ears. "Please don't hurt them...Do whatever you want to me, just don't hurt them." She begged.

Outside the Night Club

Detective Ramsey and his officers listened in closely as Serena spoke softly. After a few minutes one of his officers looked over at him. "I think we should end this now, Sir." The officer said. Ramsey looked up at him. "Not yet." He said sternly as looked away from him and continued to listen. They listened a little while longer until Diamond threatened her with the lives of her friends. "Let's go." Ramsey said as he and his men got out of the van.

Inside the Night Club

Darien and Andrew sat at there table, waiting for a sign that something was going wrong. "You think she is okay?" Darien asked as he looked over at Andrew. Andrew stared his friend in the eyes. "Yes, cause if it wasn't Detective Ramsey and his officer would have been in here by now. You know she is mostly likely wearing a wire, so they know everything that is going on." Andrew answered. Darien nodded in understanding. "That kinda worries me..I can only imagine what she would be willing to go through just to get him behind bars." He said as he looked around the room.

As Darien scanned the room a commotion at the entrance caught his attention. He nudged Andrew as he stood up. "What is it?" Andrew asked as he looked up Darien. Before Darien had a chance to answer Detective Ramsey and his officers announced their presence. "Police, we are looking for Diamond Carter." Ramsey shouted as he looked around the room with his gun drawn.

"Something's gone wrong.." Darien said as his heart began to race. Andrew looked from Ramsey to Darien. "What do you want to do?" He asked as he studied his friend. Darien looked around as he tried to remember where Serena had went after she walked off stage. "Come on." He whispered as he quietly walked out of the room with Andrew close behind. The walked towards the back of the stage without being noticed. Fear filled his heart as it continued to race, he had to find her, before something awful happened to her again...
