AN: Just a quick note. A lot of you have commented on my lack of reviews for this story. I don't care about reviews, I just want to write a fic that's decent enough to keep people believing in the love of these two. I would take a handful of amazingly faithful and sweet reviewers over a ton of reviewers any day. I love you all and I hope you enjoy! Also: if you are good at writing summaries, send me a PM of a better summary for this story, because mine is not too great! Thanks guys!

"Sasuke, we need to talk about Danzou's upcoming infiltration of Suna." Kakashi spoke quietly behind his prized pupil.

Sasuke nodded as he turned his head away from the infuriating scene before him. "Is everyone in the meeting hall?"

The elder knight nodded and put his hand on his pupil's shoulder. "Relax Sasuke, you're anxiety is showing." When the stoic king finally turned to face his former teacher, Kakashi continued. "You are no longer her knight. You are her king."

Sasuke smirked at his teacher's words before turning down the corridor. "You're right." Sasuke's smirk grew as he continued to the meeting hall.

Kakashi shook his head as he smiled softly. His pupil was getting out of control with his love of the pink-haired princess. Kakashi chuckled as he watched the tall king waltz down the corridor. Poor Sakura wouldn't know what hit her when she finally got the full brunt of Sasuke's love.

Sakura smiled happily as Naruto continued to take cautious steps around the garden. Sai sat on the fountain beside her, drawing in his sketch pad as Naruto continued to re-learn to walk.

"Good job Naruto!" Sakura squealed happily as she watched him continue on.

Naruto laughed as he walked towards his best friend and tiredly sat on the grass beside her. "Thank God you're here Sakura-chan, I don't think I could do it without you."

Sakura smiled and kissed her friend's head as he leaned his head on her lap. "I'm sure you could have done everything with Hinata's help." She winked slyly at the blonde king.

Naruto blushed heavily before grinning up at the girl he thought of as a sister. "And you and Sasuke-teme?"

Sakura shrugged her shoulders and leaned back with her hands holding her up in the grass. "He's the same as always Naruto." She ran her hands through his hair, softly combing out the knots.

"That Teme's always ignoring you." Naruto sighed angrily before smiling up at his friend. "Don't worry he'll come around soon."

"We should open our borders for the Kazekage to seek refuge before Danzou destroys his city." Shikamaru said lazily from his chair.

Sasuke tried to hide his disgust. There was no way he wanted the King of Suna anywhere near his intended at this moment in time. He'd already lost the majority of his time with her to Sai and the blonde idiot. He had no intention to let the king stay with him in his palace.

Sasuke took a deep breath before answering. "We will wait and see how Suna deals with the attacks before bringing the King into our borders." He laced his fingers in front of his face and leaned his mouth on his thumbs. "I doubt the king will want to run away from his country when they are under attack."

Neji nodded his head in affirmation. "I agree with the King. If we were to send out a message to Gaara at this time, Danzou may be able to intercept it."

Shikamaru nodded in agreement. "Now, are we planning to send troops down to Suna to help?"

Sasuke flattened his hands on the table. "How long do we have until the attack?"

Shikamaru shrugged and folded his hands behind his head. "From the reports Sai gave, I would say about another week or two before they reach our borders. So we have about a week before we would need to send out extra troops."

Sasuke nodded and leaned back in his chair. "We will send help to Suna, and I will accompany the troops." He glanced at Neji's disapproving glare. "It will be a good opportunity to confront Danzou and figure out his position on Otogakure."

The rest of the nobles nodded in agreement as they continued on with finishing up the meeting.

Sakura sighed contentedly as she continued to stroke through her friend's sunshine hair as she continued to talk to the artist next to her. "Sai, what is your favorite thing to draw?"

The spy shrugged and glanced up at the sun in the sky. "Whatever is before me." He smirked down at his sketchpad. "Beautiful women namely."

Sakura smiled as she gazed up at the beautiful young man beside her. If she wasn't so in love with Sasuke, Sakura was sure she could have fallen for Sai, in another world. But in this world, in this life, there was nobody she would rather be in love with then the one and only Uchiha Sasuke.

"Sakura!" A tall buxom blonde called as she sprinted across the garden. As the princess and her companions came into sight, Ino slowed to a halt. Ino continued on towards her friend in a slow dignified manner as she caught sight of the artist sitting beside her. "Well hello there Sakura-chan." The maiden bowed lowly and gave a demure smile to the audience before her

Sakura held back a giggle as she recognized the look in her friend's eye. "Good afternoon Ino-chan." The pinkette turned to Sai and gestured to him. "Ino-chan this is Sai, Sai this is Yamanaka Ino-chan."

Sai stood and bowed before the maiden and smiled at her politely. "It is a pleasure to meet you Ino-san."

Ino batted her eyelashes prettily as she glanced between her friend and the newcomer. "The pleasure is all mine Sai."

Sakura caught the sly glances Ino sent her way and smirked at her friend. "Sai, why don't you take Ino-chan out for a walk around the gardens? I will have to take Naruto up to his room soon, and I wouldn't want to leave Ino-chan unattended."

Sai nodded his head before stiffly leading the noblewoman around the gardens before them. Sakura giggled as she watched Ino fawn over the spy, her friend had always been quick to love.

"Sakura, do you have to be so abrasive?" Sasuke growled as the young princess yanked his arm roughly off of the bed.

"Sasuke, shut up so I can clean your wound." The young princess did not look up from her work as she dabbed the large cut on the knight's arm.

"What did you call me?" The knight asked quietly.

"I called you 'Sasuke', is that not your name knight?" She growled back just as angrily, avoiding his gaze.

"Why are you angry with me?" The raven-haired knight held back a chuckle as he tried to look into his princess's eyes.

"Because you were being an idiot!" Sakura yelled angrily as she began to wrap the wound on her knight's arm. "I would have been fine if you had just let me fall." She dropped his arm onto the bed as she finished wrapping it and moved to clean the wound on his neck.

Sasuke lifted his head up so she could have easier access to the wound underneath his jaw. "Obviously, if I am this banged up, you would not have been fine if I had just let you fall."

Sakura huffed angrily as she finished dressing the wound on his neck. "But you didn't have to do it." She let her hands fall to the quilt on the bed. "You had me worried."

Sasuke smirked softly at his princess before reaching out and brushing a strand of her short hair behind her ear. "I would have been worried if you had fallen without me." The young knight picked up the princess's hand and gently pressed his lips to her knuckle. "It is my job to protect you princess."

Sakura pulled her hand away and turned away angrily from the knight. "Don't do that to me Sasuke." Sasuke's brows knit together as he gave her a look that encouraged her to go on. "Don't be so sweet to me when you're leaving in a week." Sakura stood angrily and covered her mouth with her hand before bursting out of the room.

This is not how it should have been. She should not be sitting there with the idiot's head in her lap. He should be the only one to know the comforts she offered. Sasuke growled in a frustrated manner as he watched her sit there with Naruto's head in her lap, her beautiful fingers stroking through blonde locks.

Sasuke coughed loudly as he approached the pink-haired princess. Quietly the young maiden turned around to the man behind her and smiled softly, before patting the spot on the ground next to her.

"Good afternoon Sasuke-kun." She smiled brightly at him as her hand continued to stroke through her friend's hair.

Sasuke sat next to the princess and looked out over at the gardens. "Where have you been?"

Sakura shrugged and turned to observe the kingly profile of the dark-haired man. "Here mostly."

Sasuke turned to glare at her. "You know what I mean." He sighed and angrily ran a hand through his hair before rephrasing. "Why haven't you been with me?"

Sakura smiled softly and leaned her head against his shoulder. "I've been taking care of Naruto. He needs to be rehabilitated so he can learn to walk and function again."

Sasuke wrapped his arm around her shoulders and softly rubbed her upper arm. "There are plenty of people who could do that."

Sakura shivered at the touch on her arm. It had been a while since he had been this close to her, let alone just simply touching her like he was now. "I would do the same thing for you Sasuke." She lifted her chin up so that she could look into his eyes. "I have done the same thing for you."

Sasuke narrowed his eyes at the girl beside him and resisted the urge to throw the blonde away from her. "But Naruto is not me. You do not love Naruto."

The young princess sighed before speaking. "Sasuke-kun, I do love Naruto." Sakura leaned up and kissed the handsome King's cheek. "But not the way I love you."

Sasuke leaned into the kiss and let his hand trail up to his love's neck to play with her short hair. "Then have dinner with me tonight."

Sakura shivered again as she felt her former knight's fingers gently brush against the skin of her neck. "Of course Sasuke-san."

Sasuke glared at his princess playfully before pulling her tightly to his side. "What did you call me?"

Sakura giggled before kissing his cheek again. "I called you Sasuke-kun."

Sasuke lightly grabbed the back of her head and pulled her face towards his. "That is not what you said." He pressed his lips to hers lightly once. "Don't ever call me that."

Sakura lightly traced his lower lip with her finger. "And why not?"

"Hey will you two get a room!" Naruto exclaimed loudly, sitting up from Sakura's lap.

Sasuke rolled his eyes and slightly pulled away from Sakura. "Naruto, shut up." He turned back to the princess and pressed his lips to hers quickly. "Don't forget dinner."

The young princess nodded slowly as she watched him pull away and gracefully stand. "I won't forget."

The king nodded and smirked at Sakura before turning and leaving the young king and his princess.

"You seem much lighter." Kakashi commented lightly as he watched his pupil attack him with his katana.

Sasuke smirked as he reached out to swipe at his mentor again, before grunting in response. Kakashi charged at the young king with his own katana as Sasuke swiftly avoided the blow.

"Did you do the dirty with our young princess?" The elderly knight winked at his pupil.

Sasuke narrowed his eyes at his mentor. "That is none of your business Kakashi."

The old knight smirked at his pupil. "Well as your top advisor, and the former top knight of the king's service for our young princess, I think it is my business."

Sasuke sighed as he evaded another one of Kakashi's attacks. "We did not have sex Kakashi."

Kakashi continued to smirk at his pupil. "Good. The princess needs to be pure for her marriage to a suitor."

Sasuke glared at the knight. "You and I both know that Sakura will be marrying me."

Kakashi shrugged as he pinned his pupil to the ground. "You've always been sloppy Sasuke. Make sure your approach is on-target and fast so that you do not lose your goal."

Sasuke sighed as he ran a hand through his hair and pushed his mentor off of his body. "You are implying that I should tell Sakura how I feel."

Kakashi rolled his eyes and patted the top of his pupil's head. "Exactly Sasuke."

Tiny giggles could be heard throughout the room as a little boy ran away from the tall knight with his arms outstretched.

"You can't catch me!" The tiny raven-haired child screamed as he hid behind a tree.

Kakashi chuckled as he slowed down in his running, before turning around in a confused manner. "Now where did little Sasuke go?" He pondered aloud.

Sasuke giggled quietly as he continued to hide behind the tree.

Kakashi caught ear of the tiny giggle and quietly trekked over to the tree Sasuke was hiding behind. Kakashi was close to Sasuke's father. Although they weren't exactly close in age, Kakashi had worked with the young boy's father since Fugaku had taken over managing the knight squadron in charge of keeping the kingdom inside of the wall safe. Kakashi, at the time, was simply in charge of training young boys to become noble knights for the Kingdom of Konoha. But he'd always had a soft spot for his young godson.

The silver-haired knight lifted the young boy in the air as his fingers tickled his tiny stomach. "If you want to grow up and be a strong knight, then you'll have to learn how to be quiet when you're hiding." Kakashi chuckled as the young boy continued to giggle in his arms.

"Stop! Stop!" Sasuke laughed as he tried to wiggle out of his godfather's arms. Kakashi pulled the young boy closer to his body when the sound of horse hooves galloping towards the pair resounded in the air.

The head knight turned to the horses and gave the man approaching a slight nod to signify that he was ready for the message.

The knight before the pair cleared his throat before dismounting and kneeling before the head knight. "There was an invasion in the Uchiha Compound."

The silver haired knight automatically stiffened before turning to the little boy in his arms. "Sasuke, why don't you go and make sure that the knight in the back is wearing the proper armor."

Sasuke nodded and signaled for the knight to put him down. Kakashi placed the child in the grass and ruffled his black hair. When the child was out of sight, Kakashi turned back to the messenger. "Were there any survivors?"

The knight shook his head slowly before speaking. "There were none."

Kakashi nodded stiffly before folding his arms across his chest. "Who was it?"

"It seems to have been an assassination by Otogakure." Kakashi nodded and dismissed the knight before calling his godson over to him and lifting him in the air.

With Itachi out on his quest, Kakashi was going to have to take care of Sasuke and raise the five-year old boy all on his own. The head knight looked down at the beautiful young boy in his arms. He looked just like his old man, and his older brother. The knight pulled the young boy to his body and hugged him tightly, a rare occurrence for the two 'macho men'. Now all he had to do was tell the young boy about the death of his parents.

"Sakura-san, I have a request of you." Sai said stiffly as he approached the princess inside of her bedchamber.

Sakura turned from the vanity before her and smiled softly at her friend. "Yes Sai?"

"Will you allow me to court you?" Sai's face was blank as he continued to look at the young princess.

Sakura almost choked on her own saliva as she gaped at the lanky spy behind her. Sakura stuttered for a moment before finally sputtering out words. "S-sai, I cannot possibly accept your request."

Sai shook his head and looked at the pink-haired princess confusedly. "I am not soliciting your literal hand in marriage princess. I am simply requesting that you teach me how to properly court a woman of your standing."

Sakura took a moment to process the spy's words before speaking. "Who are you attempting to court Sai?"

The young spy smiled nostalgically as he looked down at the floor. "Ino-san is a sexually attractive noble woman."

Sakura gaped at the young man before her. "You've been seeing Ino behind my back!" The pink-haired princess stood and slapped her friend across the chest. "And neither one of you bothered to tell me!"

Sai shrugged before taking a minute step away from the princess. "Actually we've only been involving in coitus behind your back. The term 'seeing each other' implies that I am already courting Ino."

Sakura glared at the man before her and crossed her arms. "What do you need help with?"

Sasuke stared at the graphs and charts sitting in front of him on the table. He'd have to go over them again when Sakura was available to help him decipher their meanings. Orochimaru's serum was extremely complicated, but the King still couldn't figure out what he was using the serum for. If he'd wanted to infiltrate Otogakure's borders, he could have easily done that without taking control of his knights. Orochimaru was sending a message, and Sasuke only had so much time to unscramble it.

The young king ran a frustrated hand through his hair as he continued to stare at the charts. He'd worked under Orochimaru for five years and he still couldn't figure out what the bastard was trying to do. Or how he was still alive for that matter. The craziest thing Orochimaru had done when the Uchiha had worked under him, was hire a white-haired magician to cast a 'demon' into his prized pupil. Sasuke rolled his eyes at the memory. He'd been given a tattoo made of the blood of his first kill, and the poor king had to undergo several exorcisms before he finally felt that the 'demon' was out of his body.

Sasuke shivered as he thought of the darker events of his quest. The king glanced up from the charts when he sensed the presence of another person.

"We have new information." Neji stated before taking a seat across from the king. Sasuke nodded to encourage the noble to continue. "It seems that Danzou has been mysteriously spending most of his time in the throne room. Sai says that no one is allowed in the throne room unless called in, and most times are not allowed out once they are in."

Sasuke folded his hands in front of his mouth. "It's where they are keeping Orochimaru's body."

Neji raised an eyebrow before running his eyes over the charts on the table. "I thought you killed him."

Sasuke nodded. "I thought I did too." The king followed Neji's gaze on the charts. "Apparently I wasn't thorough enough." Sasuke leaned back in his chair and angrily rubbed his temples. "I want a squadron of men prepared to go into Konohagakure. They need to infiltrate the ranks and scout around the city while Danzou's army is deployed."

Neji nodded as he leaned back in his chair. "Any specific type of infiltration?"

"I want them dressed as beggars. Send them with emergency supplies and have them make sure the people inside are safe and healthy before gathering information."

"No Sai, that will not work. You cannot simply go up to Ino-chan and solicit her hand in marriage simply for sex." Sakura sighed as the spy stood from his kneeling position.

Sai sighed, obviously frustrated with the princess's demanding. "But you said to say the truth, and that is the truth. I wish to pro-create with the beautiful Ino-chan."

Sakura rolled her eyes and gestured to the floor. "On your knees, and try it again. This time from the start."

The young spy complied with his princess's wishes and sank to his knees on the floor, before reaching out for the princess's hand. "I wish to solicit your hand in marriage on the grounds that you are the most beautiful noble-woman I have met thus far. You will bear me strong and attractive children, and we will live a comfortable and safe life."

Sakura blanched as she stared down at the spy on his knees. Sai couldn't be serious about this… could he?

"What the hell is going on here?" The low and menacing tenor of the king grumbled slowly from the doorway.

Sakura's eyes widened in shock as she glanced up at Sasuke. "Oh my goodness! Dinner! I'm-"

"Get out." Sasuke looked down at the spy on the floor, effectively cutting off Sakura's apology. Sai bowed his head shallowly before the king, and left the princess's bedchamber.

"Sasuke I'm-" The king held up a hand to stop the princess's speaking and sent a nasty glare in her direction.

"You will not be marrying him." The king stated matter-of-factly before walking to the door and closing it firmly behind himself.

Sakura rolled her eyes before turning to the king. "Of course not. It's not like he was actually proposing to me."

"You forgot about dinner." The king leaned against the wooden door and stared down the pink-haired princess. His face stayed in the firm and stoic position he'd been trained in, but the young princess could easily see the aggressive outlines of anger around his eyes. And even more disheartening, Sakura could see the faint lingering of disappointment sketched into his features.

Sakura hung her head sadly and looked at the floor. "I know, and I'm sorry. But Sai-" A loud boom cut the young woman off.

Sasuke had loudly punched the door behind him, cutting the woman off once again. "Yes, Sai." The king spit out his spy's name like it was acid. "And Naruto." He pushed himself off of the door. "That's all you have cared about recently."

Sakura sighed exasperatedly as she looked at the man she loved. "I have not only cared about them recently Sasuke, I just-"

"I don't want to hear your excuses." Sasuke slowly made his way over to the princess and stood before her, towering over her tiny form. "You have neglected me, and I will not stand for it."

Sakura looked up into his eyes, attempting to pull her thoughts together and retaliate to the king's words. But as she looked up into his eyes she found nothing in her mind that could answer the statement he just threw at her. Sasuke brought his hand up to the back of her head and brought her lips a breath away from his.

"I'm sorry." She whispered out quietly across his lips before pressing her lips to his in a gentle kiss. Sakura wanted to deepen the kiss, but Sasuke pulled her head away from his before she could.

"You cannot seduce me and expect me to forget my anger." He breathed across her lips. He quickly let go of her and pushed her away from him. "You have given me reason not to trust you."

Sakura smiled sadly at her king before slowly approaching him again. "Sasuke, I promise you I have only been busy with attending to Naruto's injuries and helping Sai." Sakura ran her hand through the king's hair and softly combed through it.

Sasuke leaned into her soft hand. "Helping Sai with what exactly?"

"He wants to court Ino, and I was helping him to prepare a proposal." Sakura said in a soft whisper as to not disturb the calm surrounding the two.

Sasuke took her hand out of his hair and kissed her fingers softly. "You will never miss dinner with me again." He pulled her into his body and wrapped his arms around her, settling his nose into the crook of her neck and inhaling gently.

Sakura smiled softly as she continued to run her fingers through his hair. "I won't miss dinner with you ever again Sasuke."

The king brought his head up to her face. "Well then let's go out to the garden for dinner." He looked the young girl up and down before letting his fingers fall to the back of her corset. "You are not properly dressed."

Sakura looked down at her day gown and blushed slightly. When Sai had asked her to help with his proposal she had forgotten to change into her evening dress for the dinner Sasuke had requested. She blushed lightly before looking up at her king. "I'm sorry, I will change immediately!"

Sasuke smirked and shook his head as he watched her dance away from him. His eyes followed as she stepped behind her dressing screen and tossed her dress onto the floor. "How do you know Sai?" The king demanded as he leaned against the wall.

"He was assigned to guard and protect me once you were gone." The young princess called back.

Sasuke almost choked on his spit. The spy he had hired, was his replacement. The spy that had been spending ridiculous amounts of time with his charge, had been assigned to do his job. And if Sasuke remembered anything about being Sakura's guard, he remembered how hard it was not to fall for the young princess.

"How did you end up hiring Sai anyways?" Sakura asked as she stepped out from behind the screen with the back of her dress unlaced.

"He was trained under Danzou before being deemed a knight. I thought he would be the easiest fit since he was already trusted." His eyes bore into hers as she walked up to him. "I did not know he would take my place."

Sakura shrugged and continued to the king until she was directly in front of him. She turned her back to him and cast a smile over her shoulder. "Lace me up please." Sasuke nodded and let his fingers fall to the bottom of her back. "We were not as close as you and I were. He was very distant, and by the time you had gone I was learning how to perfect my archery and sword skills with my father. I didn't need him really."

Sasuke let his fingers caress the exposed skin on her back before pressing a sweet kiss to her temple. "You didn't need me either."

Sakura shivered when she felt the breath on her neck, before composing herself again. "I will always need you Sasuke-kun."

Sasuke smiled softly to himself, before quickly composing himself again and turning back to the laces on the princess's corset. "Did he ever have to lace your dress together?"

Sakura giggled and shook her head. "Of course not, my father did not trust Sai like he trusted you. He made it very clear to my maids that they were to help me dress every morning."

"Hn." Sasuke nodded as he finished up the laces on his princess's corset.

Sakura turned to face the king and smiled at him softly, before taking his face in her hands. "I love you only Sasuke-kun."

Sasuke smirked softly before letting his hands fall to her waist and pressing his lips to her gently. "I know Sakura."

Sakura smiled brightly before throwing her arms around his neck and pulling his face down to her level. The young princess pressed her lips to his in a passionate kiss, waiting for him to deepen it.

Sasuke smirked and pulled away from the princess. "I told you already, you cannot seduce me away from my anger."

Sakura's brow furrowed as she looked at her former knight and crossed her arms. "Are you still angry about that?"

Sasuke rolled his eyes and held his elbow out to the princess. "We should get to dinner, we've put it off long enough now." Sakura sighed and looped her arm through the king's.

"So what have you been up to in my absence Sasuke-kun?" The young princess asked as the couple strolled down the hallway.

Sasuke shrugged before glancing down at the beautiful young princess. "Strategizing mainly."

Sakura narrowed her eyes up at the king above her. She could hear that he was holding back something from her. It was the same tone he'd used when he'd told her about his quest. "What did you strategize?"

Sasuke shrugged again and kept his eyes trained on the door they were approaching. "Different ways to approach Danzou."

Sakura growled lowly in her throat as Sasuke opened the door to the garden. "You are such an ass hole." She muttered under her breath angrily.

Sasuke chuckled lightly as he continued onto the garden before pecking her on top of the head. He paused before the gates leading into the small garden and glanced down at the young princess. "Maybe I should make you wait, like you made me wait."

Sakura continued to narrow her eyes at the king before ripping her arm away from his and stalking past the gate. She threw a glare in his direction before slamming the gate open and stomping into the garden. Sasuke rolled his eyes and slowly trailed the princess as she came to a complete stop in front of a tiny bridge.

The tiny bridge was built over a miniature stream that was home to a colorful selection of koi fish. The water was littered with small tea candles that floated along atop lily pads. The whole scene was lit by the large moon in the sky and the colorful arrangement of flowers around them. Sakura trees surrounded the neatly set table and two servants stood at attention with plates of food in their hands. Sakura looked up at the dark sky full of bright stars as she used her hands to cover her mouth in shock.

"S-sasuke…" She murmured quietly as she stared at the scene before her. She had forgotten dinner, and this is what he had planned? She felt like crying, screaming, running into his arms and apologizing for the rest of her life.

"Shall we eat?" Sasuke gestured towards the table before pulling her chair out for her.

Sakura slowly sat in the chair offered to her as she watched Sasuke's every move. "I really am sorry I forgot Sasuke-kun." The young princess said quietly as she looked down at the plate of food presented to her.

Sasuke shrugged and picked up a fork before dismissing the servants. "I know you are Sakura."

"Princess, you look lovely tonight." Gaara said nonchalantly as he escorted the young princess into the dining hall.

Sakura smiled prettily up at the red-haired prince. "Thank you Gaara-san, you look dashing as well." The couple entered the dining hall and Sakura blushed as the eyes of the nobles followed the couple through the dining hall. But a pair of black coal eyes followed the couple with less awe and more malice.

"Sasuke-san, you do not have to follow us so closely. I promise no harm will befall the princess." The red-haired prince turned to the knight following the pair closely.

Sasuke grunted in response but kept his proximity to the two. There was no way in hell he was letting the two out of his sight. This was only Sakura's third time being escorted, and the young knight was still not comfortable with letting his princess alone with other men. Sasuke watched carefully as Sakura's arm was hooked firmly in the young prince's.

"So I hear you are an outstanding archer." Gaara said softly as they continued to walk through the crowd.

Sakura smiled prettily and daintily waved to one of her friends as she passed. "I have been training with my father for quite some time now."

"Sakura is the best female archer in the kingdom." Sasuke spoke lowly and quietly.

Gaara glanced back at the knight before sneering. "I do not believe I was addressing you Knight."

Sasuke shrugged his shoulders, unintimidated by the young prince's tone. "She is my responsibility. I was simply redirecting your question so that it may properly be answered."

"I see that you are already spoken for Princess." Gaara smirked before nodding at a noble before the two.

Sakura looked up at the prince escorting her in confusion as she glanced back at Sasuke. "I don't understand."

Gaara smiled softly down at the princess. "I'm sure Sasuke-san could answer that for you."
