Review below, Let me know! :D
Of Fairies and Knights Arc
Inside the Cordelia town hall, Petra Rison sat back in the mayor's chair, hands behind her head, gleefully snickering from the announcement she made over the PA system.
"If that doesn't drive those stupid wizards out of hiding, nothing will." Petra giggled.
"You're disgusting!" The mayor shouted, who was tied up and being held by Javert. "You'll slaughter innocent people just to find some lost property?!"
Petra sulked down onto the desk, resting her elbow on it and resting her chin on her hand. "Yeah? So?"
"Have you people no heart?!" The mayor screamed. "These people did nothing to you! They're just poor, innocent families trying to live out their lives! How can you possibly live knowing you committed such atrocities?!"
"Like this." Petra turned her chair around and looked at her nails. As she did this, there was a red glow coming from where the mayor was and he screamed in agony. When the screaming stopped and Petra turned back around, there was only a puddle of blood and blood stained on Javert's clothes. "Javert, go help Gevrosh with the roundup. I need to go find my property."
Javert salutes her and she gets up and walks out of the room. She stepped over the puddle of blood as she walked out.
"Oh, and clean this up." Petra said. "You always leave such a mess."
On the roof just overlooking the town square, Kisha, Angel, Lucy and Shinra all laid flat on their stomachs, looking over the tip of the roof at the center square. The Black Fang wizards had been raiding homes, taking people and gathering them into one spot.
"Looks like they're rounding them up for a mass execution." Kisha said, looking through a pair of binoculars. "What is taking them so long?"
"You sure this plan your friend Kimi came up with will work?" Lucy questioned.
"I dunno." Angel responded.
"What do you mean you don't know?!" Lucy shouted in a whisper.
"I don't know!" Angel responded in the same way. "We've never done anything like this before! Plus, she wanted to experiment with her new toy."
"This is not the time to be experimenting!" Lucy exclaimed. "People's lives are at risk!"
"Eh, you got a point." Angel said. "... So you want to experiment later?"
"That's exactly what I... What?!" Lucy reacted.
Angel just winked at her jokingly and Kisha rolled her eyes. Shinra couldn't help but wonder if they were all lying on their stomachs, how come the other three were higher up than she was.
"There he is!" Kisha quietly exclaimed. "All right, let's go. We got to go take care of those traps."
The three girls slid down the back of the house and disappeared.
As the last of the Black Fang threw a child into the cluster of people with his parents, one of the Black Fang went over to Gevrosh, whom was overlooking the group.
"That's the last of them, sir." The grunt said.
"Good." Gevrosh said. "If those wizards do not surrender within the next hour, begin executing. I want to see an ocean of blood by morning."
"Hey, Black Fang turds!"
Everyone's attention turned to the main street where Asharu was calling out to where Gevrosh was, with Epsil standing next to him, head down and arms folded.
"I got what you want!" Asharu said. "You can have it!"
"Well, at least you're not as stupid as you look." Gevrosh said. "Send her over here!"
"Hey, you got to show some faith!" Asharu called out. "Release half of your hostages and I'll send her over!"
"YOU ARE IN NO POSITION TO NEGOTIATE!" Gevrosh shouted. "SEND HER OVER NOW OR I'LL EXECUTE HALF OF THEM WITHOUT A THOUGHT! SEND HER OVER ALONE!"
Asharu gritted his teeth. "FINE!" He leaned down and whispered in Epsil's ear. "Are you doing all right?"
Epsil kept her head down, but nodded. "Mm-hm."
"All right, just wait for the right moment." Asharu whispered before patting her on the shoulder and she started moving.
Her legs looked a bit stiff as she walked, being very careful with each step. When she reached the perimeter guards, they let her through and the Black Fang escorted her right before Gevrosh, whom was standing right in front of the citizens.
"You don't look all that special." Gevrosh said. "I have no idea what the Grandmaster wants with you and I don't care. You've been more trouble than you're worth."
Epsil just kept her head down and didn't say anything.
"ANSWER ME WHEN I TALK TO YOU, BITCH!" Gevrosh screamed.
Gevrosh punched her in the face and Epsil's face jerked down a bit. However, when she was hit, the right part of her face came off and there was fluff on his knuckles. He licked the fluff and realized something.
"Cake?" Gevrosh was confused.
Epsil's head lifted up, revealing that the right eye was a black, fiery eye. A light pink magical seal appeared underneath Epsil's feet.
"CANDY FIRE-SUGARY BLAST!"
The Epsil cake exploded in a fiery inferno. The Black Fang guards were caught off-balance, as were the citizens. Gevrosh quickly got to his feet and saw that the fiery explosion was being sucked up by the cake, which was actually just Natsu in disguise.
"I love some sugary fire!" Natsu said. "Fire Dragon-Iron Fist!"
Natsu slammed Gevrosh with a flaming fist, sending back into a wall. In the chaos, the citizens all scattered and tried to flee, some of which were being stopped by the Black Fang, but the other wizards jumped out of hidden locations and started fighting in the middle of the town square.
Meanwhile, in a nearby candy shop, Kimi, Rave, Hexos and Epsil hid behind a candy stand looking at the fighting breaking out outside.
"I am a genius!" Kimi gloated. "I knew my experimental cake cover could work! Natsu slid right past their perimeter and caught 'em off guard! Hohohoho!"
"I have no idea how you were able to fit a muscular monster into the shape of this sweet, innocent girl." Rave said, referring to Epsil.
Everyone turned to Epsil who had started munching on the different candies in the store.
"That doesn't matter for now." Hexos said. "We got to go help out the citizens any way we can."
"Ooh, Epsil too?" Epsil raised her hand excitedly.
"No, Epsil." Rave said. "You have to stay here and hide."
"Oh, Epsil wants to help, too!" Epsil stomped her feet.
"Epsil, look..." Rave put her face right in front of Epsil's. "Your Papa wants you to stay here and you're Papa is my brother, so that makes me your aunt, so will you please listen to both of us and stay here where it's safe?"
Epsil cocked her head. "Aunt... Aunt... ie... Auntie Rave! Okay, Epsil will be good girl!"
"That's a good girl." Rave said.
"Can Epsil eat all the candy in the store?" Epsil asked.
"No, that's bad for you." Rave answered.
"Aw, okay..."
On the very edge of town, Kisha, Angel, Shinra and Lucy stood just inside the gate to the town. A single, hooded member of the Black Fang stood in a single, solitary spot outside the town a few meters away from them.
"I thought there were a bunch of traps here." Angel said. "I only see one guard."
"If we can see the traps, they wouldn't be traps now, would they?" Kisha pointed out.
"Hm..." Angel muttered.
After a couple of seconds, Angel pushed Kisha's back, forcing her to stumble a few feet forward and she stepped on a magical seal which appeared. A giant spike rises from the ground and nearly impales her, but luckily she jumped back at the last second.
"ANGEL, WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?!" Kisha shouted.
"I wanted to see if the traps would get set off." Angel answered casually.
"I COULD'VE DIED!"
"Less competition for me."
Lucy and Shinra just stared at the two as they bickered. The Black Fang member lifted up one finger.
"One-down, 98 more to go." He said. "I have used my Trap Magic all around this town. To successfully survive, you must activate all 99 traps."
"Yeah, well, doesn't that leave YOU trapped?" Lucy asked, seeming confident. "You don't seem to be moving much!"
"I can deactivate the traps any time I wish." The apprentice stated. "Until I decide that, you and every other civilian in that town are trapped and within our control."
"Oh yeah? Well..." Lucy tried to think of something witty to say. "... You're ugly!"
"I'm wearing a mask." The apprentice pointed out.
"I know. I got nothing." Lucy slumped in sadness.
"Ok, enough of this!" Kisha snapped as she activated her Rings. "Ring Magic: White Arrow." The Pure energy bow appeared in her hands and the arrow was pointed right at the apprentice. "I'll give you one chance to deactivate the traps or I'll-"
The arrow flew out of the bow at high speed, missed the apprentice by 5 feet. Everyone stood there for a minute in silence.
"...Did your fingers slip?" The apprentice asked.
Kisha quickly activated another arrow, pointed at the apprentice. "As I was saying, I'll give you one-"
The arrow was released again, this time it hit the ground not 4 feet away from Kisha. Everyone stood there for a minute in silence.
"You suck at this." Angel commented.
"SHUT UP!" Kisha shouted. In full fury, she activated another arrow and pointed at the apprentice. "TRAPS! OFF! NOW!"
"No."
Kisha released the arrow, it flew at full speed directly at the apprentice. A magic seal right in front of him activated, creating a wall of electricity which destroyed the arrow before it got to him.
The apprentice held up two fingers. "Two down, 97 to go."
"Come on, you got this!" Lucy cheered. "Take him out one more time!"
"Um... about that..." Kisha said.
The white energy bow dissipated and the magic ring stopped glowing.
"I only have enough power to shoot three arrows per day." Kisha stated.
"So because your fingers slipped, you wasted two thirds of your magic energy?" Lucy questioned.
"... Yeah." Kisha simply answered.
"Wow, you really suck." Angel said.
Kisha huddled away in a corner and curled up. "I tried to help..."
Back at the town square, Natsu was throwing punch after punch at Gevrosh, knocking him in the face a couple of times. Gevrosh managed to jump backwards and held onto his burning face.
"Had enough yet?" Natsu asked.
Gevrosh removed his hands from his face, which suffered first degree burns. "My face! It burns! You are a monster!"
"I'm the monster?" Natsu questioned. "You're rounding up innocent people and threatening to kill them!"
"I had no choice!" Gevrosh said. "Those were my orders!"
"Orders? I thought you were in charge around here." Natsu said.
"Not when one of the Pentagram are here." Gevrosh stated.
"Pentapox? What's a pentapox?" Natsu asked.
"Penta-GRAM!" Gevrosh clarified. "You know? The Devil's Star? The Pentagram!"
"Oh, yeah, I get it." Natsu said. "... Never heard of it."
Gevrosh smacked his face, smacking one of his burns. "Dow! Dammit! Anyway... the Pentagram is the name for the five most powerful wizards in the Black Fang, our Grandmaster included. Each member of the Pentagram have a tattoo on the back of their neck of the Pentagram stars that rank their power in comparison with each other. The more stars, the more powerful, five being the max."
"And one of them is here?" Natsu slammed his fist into his palm. "Awesome! I wanna fight this guy! Where is he?"
Gevrosh remained silent for several moments. "... In the manor, have at her." He pointed to the manor. He clearly did not want to fight Natsu anymore.
"Hey, thanks." Natsu ran past him, heading straight for the manor.
As Natsu approached the manor, a giant prying mantis comes clean out of the ground and its pincers strike Natsu in his shoulders. It only ripped a part of his jacket and he managed to jump back. Natsu looked back at Gevrosh, whose tattoos started to disappear and a giant spider and wasp appeared, surrounding Natsu.
"Hey! You tricked me!" Natsu shouted.
"Yeah, we tend to do that." Gevrosh pointed out.
Natsu prepared to fight, but then noticed Asharu was running toward him.
"Hey, Ash, give me a hand, will ya?" Natsu called out to him.
Asharu ran right past him. "Nope."
"HEY, WHERE'RE YOU GOING?!" Natsu shouted.
Asharu turned his head back as he ran toward the manor. "I'm off to fight the leader! So nyaah!"
"HEY, NO FAIR! I WANTED TO FIGHT HIM!" Natsu stomped his feet.
The giant spider shot a web at Natsu's feet when he was stomping, causing his foot to be stuck. The wasp comes down from the sky and points his stinger at Natsu, ready to strike.
Natsu put his hands together. "Fire Dragon Roar!" Natsu breathed fire at the wasp, burning it to a cinder.
"Burn the bugs all you like." Gevrosh said. "I have thousands of tattoos on my body of all different kinds of insects! You won't be able to burn all of them."
Across the plaza, people were still running around in a panic. Spiral and Gray were there, trying to help a lot of people out.
"Get to the alleys and hide!" Spiral told the people. "We'll be covering you! Go!"
"Ice Make: Prison!" Gray made an ice prison, trapping the Black Fang grunts inside of it. "That'll hold you lot for a while."
"Won't that melt?" Spiral asked.
"I said for a while." Gray reiterated.
While the civilians were still scrambling, a red glow was seen out of the corner of the wizards' eyes.
"Burst."
When the guys turned toward the people, five civilians just burst open. This caused the rest of the civilians to panic more and Javert revealed himself amongst the puddles of blood.
"What did you do?!" Spiral asked.
Javert lifted his fingers and there was a red, ruby glow around it. "Blood Curse magic. It killed them. The only method, I assure you, is quick and painful." He pointed his finger directly at Spiral. "You will see in a moment. Burst!"
A red beam shot from Javert's fingertips. It was so tiny, it was almost impossible to see. Spiral, however, saw it coming and was able to dodge.
Spiral shot a sound wave at Javert. "Sound Shot!"
The wave struck Javert head on and he burst into blood.
"... Oh my God, what did I just do?!" Spiral asked himself, shaken by what just happened.
A blood-covered hand gripped Spiral's shoulder from behind and two fingers stabbed into his other shoulder.
"Blood Clout."
Spiral felt a surge of magic go through his right arm and it went completely numb.
"Ice Make: Spear!"
Javert ducked his hand back, grabbed onto the spear and used his Blood Clout magic on Gray's left arm, making it go completely numb. Javert turned into blood, sunk into the cracks in the ground and rose up a couple of meters away from them.
"My Blood Clout is meant to numb both arms of my opponent, making it impossible for them to cast magic." Javert stated. "I struck each of you once, only numbing one of your arms. It makes fighting difficult for you, but not impossible."
"Why not just finish us off like you intended to?" Gray asked.
"It is my duty to find new recruits for the Black Fang, forcibly if necessary, and I see potential in both of you." Javert answered. "You can be good candidates for us."
"Oh hell no!" Spiral responded. "I'd rather die first!"
"You have no choice in the matter." Javert stated. He then started moving his fingers in the air.
Spiral's arm began to move on its own.
"Sound Shot." Javert said.
Spiral's arm shot a sound wave at Gray, forcing him back, but he regained his footing. Then Gray's left arm started to move on its own.
"Ice Make: Cannon." Javert said.
Gray's left arm created an ice cannon and it shot an ice cannonball at Spiral, which he got out of the way of.
"Geez!" Spiral exclaimed.
"He's controlling us!" Gray stated.
"Yeah, I figured that out." Spiral agreed.
"Only the arm I struck." Javert stated. "While you battle me, you'll be battling each other. Whoever survives tonight will have the honor of joining the Black Fang. The other... doesn't."
Asharu heroically stormed the town manor, smashing through all of the doors as he climbed to the top. Resistance was futile... because there was no resistance. Asharu searched the whole damn building and not a single Black Fang was there.
Not in the mayor's room...
"Hello?" Asharu called for somebody.
Not in the kitchen...
"Anybody here?"
Not in the pantry...
"Looking for a big fight here."
Not in the bathroom toilets...
"I don't bite."
Not anywhere...
"WHERE THE HELL ARE THEY?!" Asharu shouted, standing in the middle of the front lobby. "They should be here! It's not like they can just get up and leave-... That's exactly what they did, didn't they?" Asharu face-palmed himself. "They knew we were coming...Epsil!"
Asharu quickly ran out of the manor.
The girls back at the edge of the town were brainstorming for a way to get rid of the traps that had surrounded the town.
"And they don't die, so the traps really won't affect them." Angel said. "It's perfect!"
"Forget it!" Lucy argued. "I'm not using my Celestial Spirits as cannon fodder!"
"You are so selfish." Angel shook her head. "Can't you think of anyone other than yourself?"
"Oh, there's a word for someone like that..." Kisha rubbed her chin. "Oh, what is it? Oh yeah. A hypocrite."
"Don't hate me 'cause I'm beautiful." Angel retorted. "You're just jealous that Ash likes me more."
"This is not the time for that!" Kisha shouted.
Shinra couldn't stand the bickering anymore, so she got up to face the Black Fang apprentice. "You! Do you have a name?"
"Henrik."
"Henrik, why do you do this?" Shinra asked. "What reason do you have?"
"They are my orders." Henrik answered.
"That's the only reason?" Shinra questioned. "You have no personal stake in it?"
"If I disobey their orders, they will kill me." Hernik stated. "I will cannot deactivate the traps, even if I wanted to."
"People are going to start coming this way and die because of your traps." Shinra pointed out.
"Regrettable, but I have to put myself before others." Henrik said. "It is the way of the world."
"If you don't want to risk your life, why not just leave the Black Fang?" Shinra asked.
"Because I like living." Henrik answered. "Haven't we been discussing this the entire time?"
"So you're just coward?" Shinra asked. "Siding with the strongest force available to you?"
"Yes."
"That's just sad.
Henrik said nothing more and Shinra went back to the other girls.
"All right, everybody! Just find a place to hide for now!" Hexos told the townspeople.
Hexos, Kimi and Rave were guiding the people to safety as the battles in the town square became more and more violent. The people began to disappear, as they hid away.
"This is going pretty well." Rave said. "What could possibly go wrong?"
The wizards then heard a giggling above them. They looked up to see Petra Rison floating in the air. She was leaning back as if she were sitting in an invisible, floating chair.
"My, you people sure work fast." Petra said. "It's a shame you have to die now."
"Rave, never say those words again." Hexos said.
"I'm only going to ask once." Petra said. "Where is the girl?"
"Which one? I thought you were after two of them." Kimi stated.
"I could care less about that dethroned pariah." Petra expressed. "I'm talking about the girl who belongs to the Black Fang."
"Forget it!" Rave shouted. "Epsil doesn't belong to anybody!"
"Epsil?" Petra muttered. "Oh, you named her. Isn't that cute? Just like a master would name his stupid dog."
Rave used her Earth Cry magic to pull a boulder out of the ground and she punched it into the air toward Petra. A flurry of black crow feathers flew through the boulder and shredded it to dust. The black feathers began to swirl around Rave, obscuring the vision around her. Suddenly, a hand reaches out and grabs her forehead. The feathers died down and Petra had Rave in her grip.
"Now let's see where little 'Epsil' is hiding." Preta smirked.
"Black Bolt!" Hexos shot a black lightning bolt at Petra from behind, but a black feathered wing appear and simply blocked the attack.
"Carful Hexos!" Kimi shouted. "You could hit Rave."
"Just as well I'm done with her anyway." Petra said flicked Rave aside and laughed as she stumbled to the ground. "Now if you excuse me, I'm off to the candy store."
"Candy Fire: Frosting Swirl!" Kimi called out.
Petra was surrounding by a swirling flame that spiraled around her. The Top was open so Petra readied herself to fly strait up. Suddenly, she sank into the ground up to here knees. Rave had used her magic to sink her.
"Bite me bitch!" Rave shouted trying to sink her under.
Rave was clearly struggling with her Magic and Petra began to pull herself free. Kimi enclosed the Frosting Swirl into a tighter spin, limiting Petra's moving room.
"Got Cha!" Hexos had jumped over the Frosting swirl and right over the opening looking down at Petra with a charged magical attack ready. "Black Thunderstorm!"
A dozen black lightning bolts fired down into the swirl strait at Petra, resulting in a large electric explosion. When the electricity discharged, Petra was no wear to be found.
"Did we get her?" Rave asked looking around.
CAW!
The Sound of a crow cawing caught each of the wizards attention. The crow was standing on the roof looking down at them with Petra's magenta eyes.
"Violet Screech." Petra's voice spoke as the crow's eyes lit up. The crow let out a high pitch screech, that wasn't loud, but it disoriented the senses of the wizards. The disorientation caused dizziness, a sickening feeling and poor Kimi actually passed out. As the Crow watched, Petra giggled as she flew off.
"Vibration Wave!" Spiral placed his left arm on the ground and caused the ground to shake.
Javert lost his footing as Gray jumped up and over him.
"Ice Make: Spear!" Gray created an ice spear in his free hand.
Javert twitched his fingers. "Ice Make: Shield!" Javert forced Gray's other hand to create an ice shield and use it to break the spear, along with the shield itself. Javert turned toward Spiral. "Vibration Wave!"
Javert forced Spiral's right hand to be placed on his chest and he started shaking like a tuning fork.
"Give it up!" Javert said. "You'll never be able to hurt me!"
Gray moved back towards Spiral's position and when Spiral stopped vibrating, Spiral turned to an open crate.
"Blooorrrgh!" Spiral puked into the crate.
"Are you all right?" Gray asked.
"No." Spiral answered.
"I think I thought of a plan on how to beat him." Gray said.
"And you couldn't think of one five-" Spiral stopped and puked into the crate again.
"We just need him to want to protect his entire body."
"How are we supposed to do that?"
Gray looked over his shoulder and saw Natsu fight off all of the insects.
"Baaaah! Take this! And this! And this!" Natsu shouted.
"Attract some of those bugs over here." Gray said.
"All right." Spiral said as his fingers started vibrating. "I'll create a high enough pitch to attract those things."
The mantis was about to attack Natsu from behind, but heard the high pitch and turned toward Spiral.
"Hey, ugly, over here!" Spiral shouted and waved to the bug.
The mantis began charging toward Spiral and he ran away from him. Javert watched with intrigue.
"What are they doing?" Javert wondered.
Spiral turned toward Javert with the mantis following him.
"Ice Make: Floor!"
Spiral quickly jumped off the ground where Gray made the ice floor. The mantis slipped and fell and the force of its momentum started to slide it toward Javert for a head-on collision.
"Really? That's the best you can do?" Javert asked. "Ice Make: Wall!"
Javert forced Gray to create a strong ice wall in front of him. The mantis crashed into the ice wall and broke through it, surprising Javert.
"Oh-"
The mantis smacked into Javert and he burst into blood as the mantis smacked into a building. The spell Javert cast on both Spiral and Gray disappeared and they were able to control their arms again.
"Got him!" Spiral exclaimed.
"He may control one of my arms, but it was only ONE of my arms." Gray told Spiral. "My master taught me that with Maker Magic, one-handed casting is sloppy and unreliable."
"Impressive." The puddle of blood reformed into Javert in front of Spiral and Gray. "But I am not done yet."
"Ice Make: Dome!" Gray created a hollow ice dome around Javert, effectively trapping him.
A small sliver was left on the outside of the dome and Spiral placed his hand on the dome and shot a sound wave through it. The vibrations began to bounce off the walls of the dome, amplifying the damage.
"AAAAHHH! AHHHHH!" Javert held onto his ears, but his head felt if it was splitting open from the vibration's pulses. His body began to deform as he could not keep his physical form stable.
Eventually, the vibrations caused the ice dome to shatter. Javert laid, half physical and half a puddle of blood. Gray froze the blood and completely froze Javert in ice.
"All right, we did it." Gray said.
"Hey, high five!" Spiral held out his hand.
Gray slapped Spiral's hand and he started vibrating, eventually throwing up.
"... Sorry." Spiral said.
"Candy! Candy! Candy!" Epsil sang as she started pocketing all the candy in the store. "Epsil loves her candy! Epsil said Auntie couldn't eat candy here, but Epsil can eat when she leaves."
The lights in the candy shop turned off and Epsil held the candy close to her chest.
"Epsil doesn't like the dark... It's like the box..."
Caw!
A crow's caw made Epsil jump as she looked out the glass door. She saw a flurry of crow feathers falling to the ground. Once the feathers had all fallen down, Petra appeared just outside the candy shop.
"Well there you are." Petra said, opening the door. When she opened the door, the bell dinged. "You're coming with me."
Out of the back of the store, Erza charged at Petra with her sword. Petra summons crow feathers in front of her, blocking the attack, but the forced sent Petra back into the city streets. Petra used the feathers to push Erza back, but she held her footing.
"So, Erza Scarlet." Petra said. "I can't say I'm surprised. I heard you were in town."
"Petra Rison of the Black Fang Pentagram." Erza said. "Your nickname is the Violet Crow."
"Oh, good, I don't have to introduce myself then." Petra smiled.
"The Magic Council has a bounty on your head of 5 million Jewel alive, 10 million dead." Erza stated.
"Is that it?" Petra asked. "I thought I was worth more than that."
"I'm going to take you in alive so you can face justice for your crimes."
"Justice? Haha! And just how exactly do you plan to turn me in?"
Erza requipped into her Black Wing Armor.
"Nice wings. Can you keep up?" Petra flew straight up.
Erza flew after her and both reached a height above the town. Epsil came out of the candy shop and looked up at the fight.
"Oooh..." Epsil muttered in amazement.
"Impressive. Now taste my Knife Wings." Petra's crow wings expanded and slashed at Erza like they were swords.
Erza blocked with her sword and the sound of clashing steel was heard with each deflection. Petra kept her arms crossed as her wings did all of the work.
"Really? Is this all you can do? I was expecting more from the Queen of the Fairies."
Erza slammed her sword onto Petra's wing and it shattered like a real sword would. Petra was caught off guard as Erza swung her sword right at her face. Petra quickly put her arms up and the sword struck her, sending her crashing back into the town. Erza flew down and landed across from Petra, whose hands and part of her face were bleeding.
"Please, this is barely a warmup." Erza stated. "I've dealt with kids who are tougher than you."
Epsil went around a corner and watched the fight.
Petra wiped the blood from her face as a whirlwind of feathers surrounded Erza. The feathers didn't harm her (although some slipped between the creases in her armor) and in opening appeared when Petra attacked Erza with a sword. Her sword was a black rapier with a ribbon tied around the handle. She aimed high for Erza and she tried to lift up her sword to block it and when the rapier made contact, her shoulder plate shattered and flew off. Petra aimed low, Erza blocked and the armor below her knee broke off. Erza quickly moved back to create distance between her and Petra and analyze the armor that had broken off.
"What is going on with my armor?" Erza wondered.
Petra giggled. "Teeheehee! I present to you, Rivione the Armor Breaker." She held up her rapier. "With every strike, my weapon breaks apart armor with a sudden, but forceful press of energy. It's a natural enemy of Requipping wizards. Once I heard you were in town, I just knew I had to bring it along. With a proper strike I can break apart your entire armor suit, and maybe more."
Petra goes in to attack Erza again, she blocked and the midriff section of the armor broke off. Petra retreated back to her former position.
"You see?" Petra asked. "You can block all you want, but your armor will break and leave you exposed."
"But I can requip into other armor, unless you forget." Erza stated.
"You don't have an armor strong enough to defeat me."
"We'll see." Erza started to requip.
*Perfect.* Petra thought.
As Erza began to requip another suit of armor, her current armor shattered and canceled the requip. Erza fell to her knees and was naked. She quickly covered herself up as the shocking revelation hit her.
"What? What happened?" Erza asked. She then noticed the black feathers wrapped around her arms and ankles. She then grimaced at Petra. "What did you do?"
"Hahahahaha!" Petra laughed. "Oh, I just love this technique! You see, during our fight, some of my feathers slipped into your armor. Basically, they're designed with a special magical seal that blocks magic coming to you. I can use this technique on any a wizard like you, whom keeps their armor in another dimension. And now it leaves you completely powerless against me. Now if you'll excuse me." Petra turned around and faced Epsil.
"Stop it! We're not done!" Erza shouted.
"Yes, we are." Petra corrected. "You can't fight and there's no one here to help you."
"Wrong, bitch! Hyyaaaaaah!" Asharu jumped from a building, wearing his Sun Armor, and swung down his sword.
Petra saw him and stepped out of the way. Asharu swung his sword right at her face and it barely missed her face, but fiery spark burned Petra's eyes.
"AAAAAHHH!" Petra screamed in pain, stumbling back and her hands over her eyes.
"Papa!" Epsil cheered, clapping her hands together.
"So you're the Black Fang in charge of everything?" Asharu asked, pointing his sword at Petra. "I'm going to enjoy kicking your-... Erza?!" Asharu dropped his sword and his jaw when he saw Erza.
Erza was covering her important parts, but Asharu couldn't help but stare at her bare flesh.
"Oh, wow, uh, I, um, well, uh, is, uh, this aint really the time for, uh, uh, wow." Asharu became brighter than a cherry with every word he spoke.
The vein on the back of Erza's head grew bigger and bigger as he spoke. She grabbed brick that happened to fall off from one of the buildings and threw it right between his eyes. "STAY FOCUSED, DAMN YOU!"
Epsil, still behind the crate, giggled. "Hehe, Papa's a perv."
Asharu rubbed the space between his eyes where the brick hit him. "Well, dammit, Erza! It's not my fault you're so damn hot!"
"MY EYES! DAMN YOU!" Petra shrieked.
All attention drew back to Petra after she spoke. Petra removed her hands to reveal the tears streaming down her red eyes and she glared at Asharu.
"I'm going to kill you!" Petra shouted. She grabbed her Rivione and charged at Asharu.
Asharu blocked the first strike and his helmet shattered. She struck again and hit Asharu in the chest, causing the entire breastplate to fly off, and continued through his chest. Petra created a magical seal in the palm of her hand.
"Violet Bind!"
The magic created a bind around Asharu, trapping him.
Epsil, watching, placed her hands over her mouth. "Papa, no..."
Petra then repeatedly punched Asharu in the face with blind fury. Asharu was still holding onto his sword and he spun it around once.
"Firewall."
A small wall of fire appeared between Asharu and Petra and she was forced jump back a bit, causing the bind to loosen. Asharu slipped through.
"Disperse!"
The wall of fire lunged at Petra and she used her wings to block, but some of the feathers caught on fire. Asharu managed to take the fire off the feathers and put them on his sword, even though she was a fair distance away from him.
"Eat my fireball!" Asharu swung his sword forward and a fireball shot out and struck at Petra's wings, causing them to catch more fire.
The fire became intense on the wings and Petra was forced to drop all of the feathers onto the ground. The fire retracted back to Asharu's sword and gathered there again. Asharu shot another fireball at her, but Petra moved to the side as the fireball missed her and set the building on fire.
"Oops..." Asharu said.
Petra created a flurry of feathers to be blown in Asharu's face. Asharu used his disruptor sword to cause the feathers to fly around him, but the feathers were mostly meant to obscure his vision as Petra grabbed him by the neck. She used a blast of her violet magic to shoot Asharu up into the air. Before Asharu reached his maximum height, Petra appeared behind him and used another blast of violet magic to send him crashing into the ground.
"Papa!" Epsil shouted.
Asharu was in a crater, most of his armor blown away and he was unable to move. Petra had landed a few ways ahead of him. She seemed low on strength and was breathing heavily. She almost fell and went on her hands and knees to catch her breath. While her head was down, Asharu could see on the back of her neck three Pentagram star tattoos, indicating her rank in the Black Fang.
"You are a pain in the ass." Petra growled. "It was supposed to be simple. Kill Titania Erza and take the brat." Petra looked up at Asharu, her eyes filled with hate. "Do you know why I didn't want to waste my time with you?"
"Because I'm good looking?" Asharu joked.
"Because you're nobody!" Petra stated, getting to her feet. "I don't even know your name and I don't care. But I'll tell you what, I'll come to your grave and find out." She pulled out her rapier and slowly walked toward Asharu.
But Epsil got in between her and Asharu. "Stop! Don't hurt Papa!"
"Papa?" Petra questioned.
"You want Epsil." Epsil said. "Promise not to hurt Papa and she'll go with you."
"Epsil, no..." Asharu tried to get up, but he couldn't move.
"Epsil doesn't want to be without her Papa again! Epsil doesn't want to lose him again! Don't hurt him!"
Petra put her hand over her face. "It's too late now. You've already imprinted on him, haven't you?"
"He's just Epsil's Papa." Epsil said.
"I don't care." Petra said. "It's too late now. I have to kill you."
Epsil gulped in fear. "Why? What did Epsil do?"
Petra didn't answer, she just lunged her rapier forward. Asharu used the last of his strength to push Epsil out of the way and he got stabbed.
"PAPA!" Epsil shouted as she fell on her back.
Petra held Asharu up with her sword still imbedded in his flesh. "Are you really so eager to die?"
"Not really." Asharu answered. "Guess I don't have a choice, do I? Unless Natsu wants to pull off a last minute rescue."
There was an awkward silence for a few moments.
"... I guess not." Asharu said.
"Fine." Petra said. "You die first."
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Epsil screamed.
A magical seal appeared over Epsil's eye and it quickly expanded over the entire town. Once the seal passed by Petra, her rapier and feathers disappeared and Asharu fell to the ground. Petra quickly looked at her empty hand.
"Wh-what?" Petra muttered.
Natsu was still fighting off the bugs and they were starting to get the advantage over him.
"Give up, dragon boy!" Gevrosh said. "You can't keep it up for much longer!"
"He's right." Natsu said. "I need a miracle to win this fight."
Epsil's magical seal expanded over Natsu's battlefield and all of the bugs disappeared when the magical seal touched them.
"What?" Gevrosh gasped.
"No that's what I'm talking about!" Natsu got excited.
Natsu rushed toward Gevrosh and punched him in the face.
"I win!" Natsu shouted.
On the edge of town, the girls were still trying to figure out how to disarm the traps.
"Okay, we use the flying cat to activate the traps and we just follow behind him." Kisha suggested.
"You wanna hurt the sweet, little kitty?" Angel questioned.
"Trust me, that cat is not sweet." Lucy retorted.
"Um, girls, what is that?" Shinra pointed to Epsil's magical seal.
The seal expanded outside the town and when it reached the trap, it broke all the traps until they were all nullified.
"What is this?" The apprentice asked. "My traps! They're all gone!"
"Quick, rush him!" Angel shouted.
All the girls dogpiled on him.
"Yeah! We win!" Angel exclaimed.
"I think I twisted something." Lucy said.
"Who's boob is that?" Kisha asked.
"This is so humiliating." The apprentice groaned.
Suddenly, a large shadow eclipsed the moon over them. A four-legged beast had jumped over the pile and the silhouette of the beast with a rider charged headfirst into the city. Everyone just turned their head into the direction of the beast before it disappeared.
"Wh-wh-what was that?" Lucy asked.
"I-I couldn't make it out." Kisha said. "Angel?"
"No clue." Angel answered. "Shinra?"
The girls looked at Shinra, who had a big smile on her face. "Reo."
The magical seal over Epsil's eyes remained for a good couple of seconds before she lost all of her energy, collapsed to the ground and the seal disappeared. Petra kept clenching her fist over and over until her feathers appeared again and grew her wings back.
"God, you are a pain." Petra said. "You're not even worth the effort to bring you back." Petra pulled the rapier out of her wing once more.
Asharu, lying on the ground, kicked her and she stumbled. She looked back at Asharu, who was just lying back with the disruptor sword in his hands.
"Hey, I'm still alive, so I'm still in this fight." Asharu said.
"You're in this fight?" Petra questioned. "I don't think so."
The feathers began to float around Asharu and lift him up. Petra approached him and smacked the sword clean out of his hand. She then put her fingers on his chin.
"For all your bravado and all the heroic delusions you have in that cracked little head of yours, you will die here for nothing." Petra said. "You may think you can endure a fight like this, but just look at you. I have you at my mercy. A part of me actually wants you to live to understand how shameful this all is. But I'm afraid I'm not that generous."
She was about to strike Asharu with her rapier when another sword blocked her attack. She quickly looked and saw Erza, in her Heart Kreuz Armor, blocking her attack. Erza flipped their swords up and elbowed Petra in the face. Petra stumbled back and all the feathers holding Asharu up disappeared and dropped him.
"Ow, you know, every time this happens, this hurts more." Asharu groaned.
"Impossible!" Petra exclaimed. "You shouldn't be able to requip at all!"
"Whatever that magical seal was, it nullified the spell you placed on me." Erza explained. "Once the seal disappeared, I was able to requip just fine."
"I'll just have to do the same thing again then." Petra said as the feathers started to fly around again.
"RAWR!"
Everyone looked up and saw a lion lunge at Petra. Petra, terrified, fell back onto the ground and covered her face as the lion pinned her down and roared.
The lion had a rider, who got off. "Birds are afraid of cats."
Upon closer inspection, the lion had golden fur, a red mane that matched its tail and jade green eyes. The rider had long blond hair that was pulled back, dark blue eyes and wore white long-sleeved shirt with dark blue outlines, a dark teal sleeveless coat with gold outlines, black pants, black slip-on shoes and a light teal bandana.
Petra kept shaking in fear with the lion roaring at her face. The flurry of black feathers surrounded the lion, but quickly fell. Petra was gone and a black crow was flying away with a frightened speed.
"Oh dear, I think I scared her a little too well." The lion spoke.
"Ah, we'll get her next time." The rider said.
"Excuse me, who are you?" Erza asked.
"Excuse me, miss, I'm Shin Kaien (Age 15)." The rider introduced himself. "And my lion friend here is Reo."
The lion stood up on his paws and coughed. "Reoshin Kaioshinta (Age ?) to be precise. It is a pleasure to meet you, Erza Scarlet."
"Reoshin Kaioshinta?" Erza asked. "The same Reoshin of the Ten Wizard Saints?"
"Correct." Reo responded, with the Wizard Saint necklace around his neck.
"A lion is a Wizard Saint?" Asharu asked, coughing a little. "Now I've seen everything."
Shin turned to Asharu. "Geez, we should get you some help. Reo-"
"Her first!" Asharu pointed to Epsil, who was out cold.
Reo obliged, went to Epsil and placed the girl on his back. Epsil remained motionless except for muttering a single word.
"... Papa..."
