Letters to Ahsoka
Chapter 10
Letter from the Younglings
Dear Ahsoka!
We're all so sorry it's taken such a long time to write back to your letter (the mail service at the temple is really slow and only seems to speed up when the Council wants something. Not that that's bad… I hope I don't get in trouble for writing that…! Oh, whatever!)
In case you're wondering, it's Katooni writing this. Petro said he wanted to do it but we decided to vote and he came last (surprise, surprise) so I get the honour of replying to you.
We all really miss you around the Temple. After what happened during our Gathering, we swore we'd give the rest of our initiate training everything we had so we could make you proud, and even though you're not here to see it anymore, we still promise to keep striving to be the best, just like you.
You helped us so much during our time together and we all learned a lot about what it means to be a Jedi and do the right thing no matter how small or how big the situation is. We even gave our lightsabers one letter each so that when we're together they spell out A.H.S.O.K.A. isn't that cool? I really hope you like it (I chose K because that's also the first letter of my name).
We all hope you're happy and safe back on your home world. Master Shaak Ti once told us in class that Shili is a beautiful but dangerous planet, but that the Togruta that call it home are perfectly suited to surviving the wilds and the crazy big animals that stalk them.
We already know for sure that you're strong enough to survive anyway, but I bet it would be awesome to go out on a hunting trip in the dark and catch some wild beasts to bring home to your tribe (Petro thinks he could bring down an Akul on his own, by the can't even beat Byph in martial arts class. Maybe Gungi would stand a better chance)
Speaking of training, just yesterday we all had a lightsaber lesson with Master Skywalker and he taught us some of the moves we seen you use against General Grievous when you took him and allowed us to escape to Hondo's ship on Florrum. He didn't look all that happy when Ganodi told him he seen you leap and spin in the way he was trying to teach us, but we couldn't really tell if he was angry or sad. I think he misses you.
When your letter first arrived, Zatt said he'd try to build a Togruta finding device (or something silly like that) to track you down so we could all see you again, but after reading the bottom, he realised it would be best to respect your wish not to be found because you're happy with the peace and quiet of your new… err… old? Home?
It doesn't matter really, we'll always remember the brave Padawan who saved us all from that scruffy old pirate so our lightsabers and our lives would be spared. You may not be a Jedi anymore, but we all still look up to you and want to do our best to become the best we possibly can be.
Just remember, if you ever need back-up or a helping hand, we're just another letter away and I'm pretty sure we could commandeer a fast enough ship to fly to Shili if we wanted to… (Though Master Windu would probably expel us all of we did that).
Okay, I guess that's all. I'm going to pass the letter around so everyone can write their own little personal message to you now. I hope you like them all and I hope you remember us like we'll always remember you.
Take care, Ahsoka, and may the Force always be with you!
From Petro - Hey Ahsoka! Thanks for showing me how to be an awesome warrior; someday I'll build a shoto just like yours so I can learn Jar'Kai just like you. Stay cool and may the Force be with you… Oh, and thanks for teaching me that I have to trust in my friends so they can trust in me.
From Zatt - Ahsoka, you showed me that sometimes it's better to trust in your instincts than technology and because of that, I've learned a lot more about myself and about what it means to be a real Jedi. May the force be with you.
From Byph - Dear Ahsoka, you taught me that I can't let fear rule my heart and that a Jedi's greatest ally is and always will be the Force. I'm glad you've found your rightful place in the galaxy. May the Force be with you.
From Ganodi - Hi, Ahsoka. I just want to say thank you for teaching me that I should never give up hope no matter how lost the situation may seem. Someday, I want to be as brave a Jedi as you were. May the Force be with you.
From Gungi - (Written by Katooni because Wookiee's claws can't grip anything this small…) – Ahsoka, for helping me see that patience and confidence can work together to honour us as Jedi, I thank you. May the Force be with you, always.
From Katooni - Ahsoka, thank you so much for being there for all of us and teaching us that we are all special and unique in our own ways. You gave us the confidence and bravery to act when others would have given up and ran away in fear, you showed us all that being a Jedi is about more than thinking about yourself, but about finding strength in those around you. Thank you for everything, Ahsoka and one more time, may the Force be with you, now and forever.

Author's Notes: Thanks for reading guys.
It's been far too long since I added another chapter/letter to this little collection; I hope this was worth the wait.
Given it's my Birthday today I wanted to do something special and the long overdue letter from the Younglings was the first thing to pop straight into my mind. I think each and every one of them learned a lot from Ahsoka even in the short time they spend together and I hope I was able to portray them well enough as well as give Ahsoka a tribute she deserved for being the Jedi she was.
But yeah, that will about do it for me. I hope you all have a great day and thank you once again for reading. May the Force be with you all.
