"Lucy, what the fuck do you think you're doing?" A blonde haired man screamed at the little girl.

"J-Just playing in the mud..." Lucy trembled, looking up at the man she called a father.

"People from our standards don't play in the filthy mud like some dirt poverty-stricken creature." Jude growled, pulling Lucy up by her hair.

"P-Papa I was just..."

"Acting like a complete disgrace in public!"

"D-Daddy." Lucy cried, feeling a painful slap hit her on the cheek.

"You will act like a Heartfilia is suppose to. Understand me, young lady?!" Jude gripped Lucy's arm tightly, dragging her away from the fun she thought she could have. Ever since her mom died, Jude became abusive.

"S-Sorry daddy." Lucy had tears streaming down her little cheeks, hoping she never stepped out of line.

"I don't give a shit. You are such a shameful daughter." Lucy looked to the ground, crying harder but being quiet about it. "Stop crying you runt."

"B-But father..."

"SHUT UP!"

"...ucy! Lucy!" Lucy shot up, slamming her head into Natsu's because he was leaning so close. Natsu reeled back and held his chin while Lucy held her forehead.

"S-Sorry..." Lucy didn't even realize she had tears falling from her face until Natsu reached over and wiped each tear that fell.

"You okay? You were crying in your sleep again."

"Uh, oh I'm fine. What time is it?" Lucy asked, changing the topic.

"Well it's only ten. I was thinking of taking you out some place nice, like a date." Natsu grinned. Lucy then noticed Natsu's attire was simple, nothing fancy. Consisting of a red long-sleeve shirt, dark blue jeans and some black high top shoes.

"Where was that going to be?" Lucy asked.

"Well I was thinking a nice walk around the park with some ice cream or maybe just going to the movies. Some good stuff is playing today."

"That sounds nice." Lucy smiled, despite her tears that kept falling.

"If you don't want too, that's fine." Natsu assured, watching how Lucy wiped her face real quick as if she never cried. Natsu gave her a calming smile, assuring her everything was going to be okay. Lucy opened her mouth to speak more but a phone ringing stopped the two dead in their tracks. Lucy smiled sheepishly as she reached for her phone.

"Hello?"

"Lucy. It's been a while." Lucy froze, her face drained and her mouth hung open. This man was the one that made everything in her life mess up. Lucy trembled at his voice, deep and demanding. She didn't want to talk to him. Not now. Not when her life was getting back on track.

"D-Dad?" Lucy squeaked, watching as Natsu's face turned from concerned to deadly within the word she just spoke.

"Lucy, I demand you come back to the Heartfilia CO. I didn't know whe-"

"Dad, I'm not coming back."

"I see your manners never got better over the year." She could practically hear the venom in Jude's voice.

"And I see it took you a year to try and find me." Lucy hissed right back.

"I had the business you ungrateful brat. Don't make me find you." Jude threatened.

"I'd like to see him try." Natsu growled, his fists clenching.

"Who was that?"

"That was Natsu my-"

"Overprotective boyfriend." Natsu grabbed the phone out of Lucy's hand and finished the sentence.

"I am trying to talk to my daughter if you don't mind."

"Actually I do mine you piece of shit. I'm going to tell you now, if you so much as try to find Lucy I will make it my job to hurt you. I'm not some coward that will let you walk in and take the love of my life because you are in a high business." Natsu scoffed, feeling agitated by this man.

"Well excuse me-!"

"You're excused you motherfucker. Have a good day and go fuck yourself." Natsu hung up just like that, dropping the phone on the bed beside the shell shocked blonde. "So Lucy-"

"I think I need a moment." Lucy said, getting up and walking out the door without another word said. Natsu stared at her with sorrow as he watched the beautiful female leave. He would give her as much time as she needed. He knew the date could wait. Right now, she needed a friend.

Sorry for such the long wait! I had writers block again. I am getting lots of writers blocks recently and I don't know why. Probably from stress... :(

I also won't be able to update before California. For those who don't know, I am going on a trip to California on July 7. I am also going to work at my sister's workplace for the next two weeks or so to earn some money for the trip. I thought I'd let everyone know.

This weekend I was hanging out with my amazing friend, Bailey-chan! (Also known as HeartInMusic, go check her stories if you haven't yet. They're really good!) And so we had a great time. For example, at one moment we were watching this duck on YouTube that was acting like the spawn of Satan. I almost chocked on my pizza 5 times in 2 mins and the video wasn't even done yet.

I was also messing around with MMD (MikuMikuDance). MMD is a program you can get on basically any computer and make characters you wish to download do things. It's fun and funny. xD Seriously look at YouTube and search for MMD and the most funny one's I've seen are the Attack on Titan characters because they seem to be made better than the Fairy Tail characters or I haven't seen really good Fairy Tail ones yet.

I also got a test on Monday so I'm stressing over that. Gee, this month is so stressful. :( I swear to God I'll try to update more during the summer. I can't make promises though but I'll try. I know the feeling of waiting for a story to update after a long time. I am also aware that this chap is really short but I kinda just gave up and didn't know what else to write. Sorry!

I also decided to fill out some of the requests because I noticed a lot of you guys asked about Lucy's dad and Natsu's past. I will try to do both in the chapters now.
