I have a diddy little update today but don't worry the next chapter is already written and its quite a long one. I think that there is a lot of importance on Cornelia's friendship with Elyon and I don't want to take away from that but I did see an opportunity for a very intense little moment between our favourite couple! I hope you enjoy!

Four of the guardians sat around the table in the Silver Dragon in silence. All visibly upset from Elyon being taken by Cedric to Meridian. Their eyes were focused on the map of Heatherfield, waiting for a porthole to appear. Both Caleb and Cornelia had been angrily pacing for the past 20 minutes, looking very similar to each other. It had been so repetitive that the girls had stopped paying attention to the pair after the last 10 minutes and therefore didn't notice when Caleb grabbed Cornelia's hand and led her towards the basement.

He was angry and annoyed about the fact Elyon had been taken and was aware that Cornelia definitely felt the same. In fact, for the first time she looked for annoyed then he did.

As they entered the basement Cornelia let out an angered moan which caused plants to sprout from the ground. She headed over to the back wall and hit it with force. Again, causing flowers to form under her palm. Caleb watched as almost instantly her anger turned to tears and with one heaving sob she slid down to the floor. Caleb hurried towards her and slid down next to her, weaving his hand in her hair he lightly lay his head on her shoulder and turned her into him so that she was now crying on his shirt. She clung onto his shirt and buried her head further into him as she sobbed and he held her. After a few minutes, she raised her head and looked directly in his eyes, there facing inches away from each other as he continued to hold her head.

"I told her, I told Will and if she'd only listened Elyon wouldn't be gone. She wouldn't be in danger. She should have listened."

Lightly she hit his chest in her frustration and he tightened his grip on her.

"I know Cornelia, I know. You were right and I am sorry. We will get her back I promise. We won't let them hurt her I promise. I am angry too, so angry."

Cornelia nodded and moved her hands up so they were in his short brown hair, the softness of it shocking her. That's how they stayed for a few moments, faces inches away from each other, their hands holding each other in place. Anger and fear running through them both. Caleb could barely take it her lips were so close to his, he was desperate to kiss her. Had been desperate to kiss her since the moment he laid eyes on her. She was so close and there was so much energy running through them. He looked back up from her lips to her eyes and saw the usually baby blue eyes were darker. He knew in that moment that she wanted to kiss him just as much as he did. He knew he had too and so he leaned in, he could feel her breath on his lips as she moved herself closer and tilted her head. When suddenly the door flew open and they jumped apart.

'Well, well, well. What do we have here then." Came Irma's teasing voice.

Cornelia glared at her but Irma as usual was not intimidated by her glare and smirked back at her.

"If you're both not busy then we have found a porthole."

Without hesitation, the couple jumped to their feet ready for battle. The moment forgotten in their haste to try and save Elyon.
