Hey it's me again. I'm really looking for reviews (yes I am dependent on them like my dog to sausage). :) Love ya all and wish you already a Merry Christmas

The night was pretty long for Puck, he has not got any second of sleep, only many sips from wine and other stuff that makes the world first seem better and then worse when the side effects kick in. He is couching on the ground of the cave Luna uses as habitat. It's very small and not a single candle is burning, since Luna hates the smell of candles. When Puck asked her if he could use his glamour to make a faery fire she said no, since she actually wanted to sleep after hours of gossiping and drinking.

So now Puck is pretty alone and the worries come creeping in again. He will go back to Ash and Keirran, since he promised to even though Keirran would be much more happy if he had only one adult who watches over him in his journey he originally planned to do alone.

It would be awkward and stressing, but Puck is used to that since he had to live near the summer queen his whole life. One get's used to weird, illogical situations pretty well then, but the bad thing about it is the way it makes you a bit crazy too.

With resoluteness the trickster jumps up from the earthy, hard ground and walks to Luna's roost, a couch made of thin boughs and leafs. They doesn't seem very comfortable or strong enough to hold her body, but sense doesn't exist in the Nevernever so to each his own.

The half-breed is snoring with a respectable volume and Puck smiles almost bemused. There is another girl he knows that also owns this talent. But impressing or not, he has to say goodbye and let her go off into Narnia, so he uses his summer glamour to undo her couch spell and she slumps on the ground. Only seconds later the prankster is thrown against the cave wall and laughing gloriously with wide opened mouth.

"You can really be a vexation! I only slept for an hour for Oberon's sake!", she complains and snorts when Puck's reaction is to only bark louder. Massaging her temples she taps his shoulder and concludes:

"It was fun, but it's obvious you'll leave now. So...hope you have luck and see you in a few years."

Knowing this is a fey's way of saying "Thank you", Puck nods and returns the tap with a warm smile and the words:
"Same goes to you. Don't be too easy in your new home, it's still only a different level of craziness that differentiates it from here."

With that he winks and leaves the cave, being in a good mood. Until an occurrence changes that drastically.

*meanwhile at Ash's and Keirran's camp*

As soon as he woke up, he knew Puck did leave them. The warm summer aura with the unmistakable thousands-of-years-old sentiment the summer jester always carried with him wasn't there anymore.

It has been some hours now, in which Ash ensured his impatient son that Puck would come back soon. Right now he feels, that Keirran won't wait any longer, all promises aside. They would continue full-filling his oath, no matter what someone else promised him. Ash knows that it's only sensible that Puck wouldn't want to be around him, when he only would get reminded he will be left alone again in the end.

But something is odd. Robin Goodfellow is not someone to leave without a show, especially not if the reasons are connected with emotions such as they share or not share with each other in the moment. He wouldn't go, letting others see how hurt he is. In that subject he acts like all fey: He makes the situation ridiculous.

Keirran, who had kicked stones in the ash of the fireplace to illustrate his uneasiness, stands up and announces:

"Dad, we will sally now. Sorry, but I don't think he will come back. Whatever you two talked about last night, it made him leave. Both of you just don't have the same connection like years ago, the separation due to the iron court changed you. We don't have time anymore, these things lay in the past, concentrate on the present."

With surprise his father looks up. Keirran got him all wrong, but he is right. Puck was yesterday, helping his son is a duty he promised to have since the day the prince of all fey magic was born. So it is also his responsibility now and for the future. This is what he has chosen on the day of Ariellas ultimatum, last wish and dark promise.
