The Bloom Is on Axew!
Misty's POV
I couldn't believe that we ran into Barry, Paul, and Ranee! I was SO happy to see them! Granted, five years ago, I wouldn't have been happy to see Ranee but times had changed and all for the better. I was glad to see that they were travelling together.
I really didn't understand why Barry was travelling with them but nonetheless, I was glad to see them all again and so was Ash. Paul was a much better person now and he was WAY more mellowed out. Barry was still his impatient and silly self and Ranee was still the calm one and she still had her Dimensional Scream.
Janette Katina, Ranee's younger cousin, was too much of a scary cat of grass types to help her family so Ranee had pitched in. Torterra saved Janette when Iris and Dent were battling Team Rocket and Ash, Paul, Barry, Ranee, and I were in a pit trap.
Ash and Paul sent Team Rocket flying and things were right again. I'm not sure if Janette will be a trainer now but after Paul, Barry, and Ranee had told us that they were going to compete in the Unova League, I ALMOST fainted. It was the perfect chance for them to battle again as rivals and friends.
Anyways; after we left Cherry Blossom City, we came across this other city with this massive belltower. We then met some wild Darumaka who were stealing food for some reason. It wasn't until later we found out why.
They were protecting and trying to help a wild Darmanitan who was holding up a bell with its psychic powers. If it didn't do that, the belltower would've been destroyed. Ash, Iris, Dent, and I quickly helped out the fire types and saved Darmanitan. After helping out, we headed into this dark and creepy forest...
Normal POV
Dent had decided to help Iris train her Axew and Misty was helping Ash train as well. Dent and Pansage were taking as easy on Axew as they could since it didn't have a lot of experince in battling. BIG time since its attacks were weak and it was timid in battling.
Misty saw this and felt bad for Axew. It was trying its hardest and it just wasn't enough. Even the smallest Solar Beam was too strong for it... Ash and Pikachu both groaned at this. They knew Axew was weak but not THIS weak.
That's when Iris commanded, "Dragon Rage!" Axew's stomach glowed blue and it said, "Ax...ew!" BOOM! The Dragon Rage was powerful but it didn't have any control over it. Everyone had smoke on their clothes and hair from the explosion.
"Ouch," said Ash. "Pika," Pikachu added. "Everyone alright," Misty asked. "I'm okay," Dent answered. "Me too," Iris added. "Axew," Axew apologized. "Man," Ash groaned, "You weren't kidding when you said that Axew needed training."
"I tried to tell ya," Iris moaned. "Well, at least Axew is trying," Dent said, trying to cheer both Axew and Iris up. Through her brown skin, Misty could've sworn that she had saw that Iris had blushed.
Meanwhile, Team Rocket was getting their new assignment. They had to go to the Desert Resort to get some sort of meteor... They happily accepted the mission and headed out...
Iris had gone up in a tree with Axew. She looked pretty bummed. "Dent," Misty offered, "Why don't you go and talk to her?" "That might not be such a bad idea," Dent responded, as he climbed up the tree.
Ash asked, "How come we aren't going up there to talk to her?" Misty groaned. Sometimes Ash was SO dense! She got out her mallet and whacked him with it. "Just trust me," Misty hissed. Dent got to Iris and said, "You know, Axew is getting a lot better."
Iris smiled, trying to hide the fact that she was blushing. She responded, "I appreciate the kind words, Dent. But, I guess being a dragon master is going to be tougher than I thought." "Ah," said Dent, "so that's your goal."
"Yeah," Iris responded, "You see, I come from this villiage where great dragon masters have come from. There is even a lady in our villiage and she's the one that gave me Axew."
She paused and added, "I know its a long road to Haxrous but I know it will be worth the journey." "I'm sure that you're right, Iris," Dent responded. Iris smiled and blushed at this. 'Maybe my luck is changing,' Iris thought to herself.
However, that's when things went from not-so-bad to worse. While Axew was picking cherries, it fell and landed...right on top of a wild Scolipede's head! Pikachu, who was trying to stop Axew, ran straight for Ash, Misty, Iris, and Dent.
"Pika pi," Pikachu cried. "What's the matter, Pikachu," Ash asked. His question was quickly answered when they saw the Scolipede...and Axew was on top of its head. Misty yellped and hid behind Ash, clinging onto him.
Ash didn't seem to mind, in fact, he blushed. He whipped out his Pokédex and it chirped, "Scolipede, Megapede Pokémon. Highly aggressive, it uses the claws near its neck to dig into its opponents and poison them."
Misty cringed at this. She didn't like the sound of that... In fact, when Scolipede charged straight at them, Misty ran the other way... "Mist," Ash cried out. He turned to Iris and Dent and said, "You two deal with Scolipede. I have to talk to Misty!"
"Ash, wait," Iris called out but it was already too late. Ash and Pikachu were already out of sight... "I guess Misty is afraid of bug types the way Janette was scared of grass types," Dent pointed out. Iris sweat dropped at this as the Scolipede started to attack them.
Misty was in another part of the forest, her knees to her face. She SO hated bug types! "Mist," a voice called out. Misty perked up and saw Ash and Pikachu coming towards her. "Ash," she whispered, scared. Ash got to her, sat down, and held her in his arms.
Misty snuggled up into him while Pikachu jumped into Misty's lap. Ash said, calmly, "I know you're afraid of bug types, honey, but you need to get over that so we can help Axew." "I know," Misty responded, "But's not easy. Ask Janette." Ash smiled as he knew Misty had a point.
"It probably wasn't easy for her, either," Ash pointed out, "But she did manage to do it and so can you." "Pika pika," Pikachu added. Misty looked down and knew that Ash was right...
Back with Iris and Dent, Dent's Pansage had just lost against the Megapede Pokémon. Dent recalled it, disappointed that it couldn't save Axew. That's when Iris stepped up to the plate. She pulled out a poke ball and out popped a Excadrill.
Dent was surprised by this and that's when Ash, Misty, and Pikachu came over. Misty was still clinging onto Ash but not as much as before. Ash pulled out Dexter and it chirped, "Excadrill, the Subterrene Pokémon. It can help in tunnel construction.
"Its drill has evolved into steel strong enough to bore through iron plates." But, this Excadrill was all closed up. "That's strange," Ash said. "Is there something wrong with Excadrill, Iris," Misty asked.
Iris sighed and answered, "No, it just won't listen to me." Hearing that brought a lot of memories back to Ash and Misty, who had both been there before, Ash with Charizard and Misty with Gyarados.
Iris begged Excadrill to help but it was hopeless. Misty pointed out, "If we use Pansage, Togekiss, and Tepig to keep Scolipede busy, Iris can go to the top and save Axew!" "Great idea," Dent gushed. Ash, Dent, and Misty called out Pansage, Togekiss, and Tepig.
The three Pokémon kept Scolipede busy like Misty had planned and Iris saved Axew! However, they weren't out of the woods just yet as Scolipede was about to attack Iris! Dent was about to push her out of the way but Excadrill beat him to the punch.
And like Iris said, it was doing things on its own but it did defeat Scolipede. "Hooray," said everyone, in unison. "Nice job, Excadrill," Iris told her Subterrene Pokémon. Excadrill said nothing, it just closed up again. Iris recalled it as they all went back to training...
Announcer: And so, as Axew is safe and sound now, we continue onwards to Nacrene City and Ash's second badge!
AK1028: I apologize for the delay but I hope the wait was worth it! Now, since got a lot of positive reviews from doing my own episode, I'm planning to do more in the future. But, for now, I'm still following the Black and White arc, taking out the episodes where pretty much nothing happened. Anyways; review please! And think outside of the box!
