Man, three years and no update until now... i feel real bad now, well somewhat, lol. First, i'd like to sincerly apologize to the people that's been following this story since the beginning due to the big gap of inconsistent updates. Tons of stuff have really has been taking a toll on me last few years and it's affected me. I've been dealing with major depression, and while most of it is gone, it lingers around sometimes. Not only that, but school and family had been issues as well. Overall it was just a bunch of stuff that's affected me in a negative way. This explains why this story hasn't really been updated much, and again I apologize for that. However, i'm in a much better state now being out of school for a while. My only real concerns is getting another job since my old one ended not long ago and to begin applying for community college within the next few months, but that will take care of itself.
That being being said, I do want to mention that I am not giving up on this story. Despite this story being made in like, 2010 (yeah, I know, it's pretty old lol), I don't want to let it die and let it collect dust. I will finish this, it's all a matter of time when that happens.
So now that everyone's up to speed, let's get on with the actual story...
After the recent turn of events, everything seemed to be calm and mellow in the Go-Rong, despite that being a different story from what has happened lately. Pucca was snuggled under her bed sleeping soundless. Garu was asleep in the guest room adjacent from Pucca's room, snoring quietly. Charles on the other hand was on the couch in the living room. Although he was asleep, he definitely wasn't the most silent. His snoring could've been heard from the Uncle's bedroom, which surprisingly haven't woken them up. However, there was no need to as Pucca was the first one up.
"Ugh, I really need to change that alarm. It used to be cute, but now it's blatantly annoying," Pucca sighed. She got up from being underneath her bed's covers and went to the bathroom to the bathroom to brush her teeth, tidy up, the usual stuff. After she finished, she got a bit worried. 'Oh crap, I forgot to tell my uncles about Charles sleeping here last night. I need to wake up Garu and Charles so my uncles won't suspect anything.' Pucca thought to herself.
She peeked out of the bathroom door, moving her head left and right to make sure nobody is in the hallway. 'Okay, good. Now I just need to check up on my uncles to make sure they're still asleep..'
Pucca walked down the hallway. The farther she walked, their snoring got louder and louder. 'Sheesh, and now I wonder how i'm even able to sleep with them snoring like that' Pucca thought. Eventually, she reached their room, which felt like an enternity doing so.
She grabbed the doornob and turned it while pushing it slowly without making a sound. Once she did, she looked and noticed they were still sound asleep, well more than sound at least to her. 'Good, now to wake up Garu and then Charles,' she thought as she began walking down the seamless hallway.
Once she got to the guest room, she opened the door and started shaking Garu, who was for some odd reason, hugging a pillow.
"Garu, wake up." Pucca whispered in Garu's ear. Garu murmured and rolled over to the other side of the bed. This only made Pucca vexed in frustration. She went over to the other side of the bed and then said the same thing, but yelling in his ear instead.
Nevertheless, still no answer.
Pucca sighed; 'you're killing me Garu. Just wake up!' Pucca though. She had to take desperate measures. She looked at his cheek, noticing how exposed it was. She had a devious smile on her face. 'This will surely wake him up,' she told to herself.
SMACK!
Garu shot up instantly as he looked around the room with his bloodshot eyes. He kept looking around vigoriously until he noticed Pucca.
"Pucca, what the hell? Why did you slap me so damn hard!? That hurts a lot!" Garu exclaimed as he rubbed his now fully red cheek. "Sorry Garu, but you wouldn't wake up when I tried before," Pucca stated as she started giggling.
"C'mon Pucca, it's not funny!" Garu blurted out while looking at Pucca who was currently glaring at his cheek.
"You're right Garu... i'm sorry. Here, i'll make it better," Pucca muttered in his ear. She puckered her lips and kissed his cheek, leaving a faded smear of red on his cheek, much to Garu's dismay. Despite that, he didn't mind it too much. After all, Pucca is his girlfriend.
"Thanks. I don't mind you slapping me so much now," Garu chuckled. "Why did you wake me up anyway? Was I snoring or something?" Garu asked.
"No, I woke you up because we need to talk to Charles about the...you know, the whole 'rebelling Tobe' situation." Pucca said as she took a deep breath. "And we need to do it quietly so my uncles won't wake up. They always become skeptical of certain behavior in this place when they're waken up from their sleep." Pucca explained.
"Okay, fair enough. Let's go wake him up," Garu said as he pulled the covers off of him. Once he got out of the bed, he and Pucca began walking to the stairs. Once they got down the stairs, they heard loud snoring.
"And you thought my snoring was bad," Garu teased. "Stop Garu, I get it," Pucca said as she started giggling.
They walked up closer to Charles, pulling the cover he was sleeping under. Both shook him firociously.
"Wake up!"
"Wha..."
"We said wake up Charles!"
He wouldn't budge. They had to take drastic measures.
"Well, we might as well pull him off the couch," Pucca said.
"Let's go for it then," Garu said while trying to keep his composture.
However, there was no need to; Charles moved his position, but he ended up rolling himself off of the couch in the process.
"Huh? What happened..." Charles questioned as he looked around. His vision was blurry, but it was only temporary. With a few more seconds of blinking and his vision became normal again. He kept looking around only to notice Pucca and Garu dwarfing him from standing right next to him.
"Hi... uh, what are you guys doing, and why are you standing next to me?"
"We'll explain that later, but right now we need you to get up so we can talk about your situation with Tobe without any disruptions," Pucca stated as she started thinking about her uncles. She shrugged at though of them being worried as the chances were slim right now with the excess amount of cooking they had to do later today.
"Alright..." Charles murmured as he got up. He dusted off his ninja uniform, and proceeded to tidy up. Once finished, they all walked out of the Goh-Rong.
"Alright, first I would like to say you did that you made the right decision standing up to Tobe. Granted, I don't know the whole backstory, but that's why we're here. Right Pucca?" Garu remarked. Pucca just shook her head in agreement.
"Well, I guess so. He's just been a dick to me and the guys lately. It all started when that new guy came along not too long ago."
"Quien is the one I think you're referring to, right?"
"Yeah, him. Anyways, he's just been a major pain and has done nothing but cause trouble. Quien was the one who thought of killing you because he likes your girlfriend Pucca," Charles admitted.
"That's not all though, if anything there's probably more to it. I only did as I was told until I got irritated with Tobe's sudden change in behavior towards me and the fellas. I think you two can guess what happened after though." Charles said, taking a deep breath.
"But, that's not the main reason I rebelled against him. The main reason I did that was because I wanted to have an actual life now and not walk behind someone like a mindless drone. I want to actually experience stuff without any regret afterwards. I always had that feeling, but I just could never bring myself to express it. If I did, I would have gotten beaten senseless by Tobe." Charles said with a lamenting expression on his face.
"I didn't think I would get anywhere until I found you guys, despite it not being the most welcoming approach," Charles said while looking at Garu.
"So thank you guys for giving me a chance. It really means a lot to me," Charles said with glee.
"It was no problem, really. I didn't mean to threaten you or anything, but me and the gang was just skeptical of you yesterday. That's why we were in the bushes," Garu explained.
"That isn't anything though; I seriously didn't think Tobe would have a dictator-like attitude. It's one thing to have henchmen, but to do that kind of stuff to them? That's just beyond torture. You shouldn't have to go through all of that mess," Garu warmly said. Upon hearing this, Charles had a smile on his face.
"If anything, you can hang out with us. It's the least we can do," Pucca said while smiling.
"Thank you guys," Charles said. "But wait, what about your other two friends thang out with you? You know, the girl with the chicken on her head and the guy that rips off his shirt practically every day? If they see you with me they will think you're getting attacked or something," Charles asked nervously.
"Don't worry about that," Garu said.
"We'll just explain to them what's been going on and the situation you're in right now," Pucca chimed in.
"Okay... I just hope they don't get any funny ideas about me," Charles remarked.
"I doubt they will. Ching is caring and will completely understand. Abyo on the other hand doesn't listen most of the time, but it'll be no problem," Gary said, reassuring Charles.
"Alright..."
At Tobe's Place
"Look I don't want to hear it. You don't understand. Pucca is stronger than you think; she interfered with your plans not only once, but twice! What makes you think that will succeed this time?" Quien said, snapping at Tobe.
"I think it's you who don't understand!" Tobe yelled. "Sure, she may have interfered, but this is more of a straight forward idea. This one is the final straw for me. I'm surely positive that this one will work!" Tobe said.
"Uh huh, and what exactly is that 'plan' of yours?" Quien snickered.
"I will use Shamon to cast a spell on me that turns me into a giant. I will wreck havoc on this pathetic excuse of a town!" Tobe said.
"So what, now you've decided to turn to just plain world domination instead of getting vengeance on Garu?" Quien said while raising an eyebrow.
"No, that's just phase one of my plan. And the best part about it is that there will be no one to interfere!" Tobe said as he laughed.
"Are you so sure? Because from what I remember, Garu kicked your ass the last time you saw him," Quien snickered.
"Will you just shut the hell up!" Tobe snapped. "You're not helping the situation here."
"Hey man, i'm just bringing you back to reality, just like how I was..." Quien said as he thought of Pucca sending him through the roof of Garu's house. 'Ugh, i'll never forget that...'
"Whatever; Shamon, come here!" Tobe yelled. His voice was so loud that it could be heard through the whole building. However, Shamon was currently playing cards with Clown and Chief.
"We'll be there!" Chief yelled back.
Chief, Clown, and Shamon sat their cards all on the table they were sitting at. Soon enough they started walking through seemed like a maze of doors, but eventually they made it.
"What is it Tobe?" Shamon asked.
"I need you to cast a spell. A spell that will make me grow in size. I need one that will allow me to destroy this village!" Tobe exclaimed.
"Well, there is one...but..."
"But what?" Tobe asked.
"The side effects are really bad and the spell is only temporary." Shamon explained.
"I don't care! Use this spell on me, now!"
"Tobe, you might want to rethink this..." Chief said.
"She's right." Quien stated. "Look, Garu's spirit is still out there somewhere. You may not believe me, but lingering spirits don't rest until they have fulfilled their duty. What that duty is? I don't know, i'm not his spirit, but he's definitely still here somewhere." Quien stated.
"Okay, now you're just making up stories." Tobe said, laughing at Quien.
"Tobe, he's not bluffing. He's telling the truth and you should know this! The ninja handbook even states such a scenario! Look, Tobe just reconsider this..." Chief grieved.
"Never!" Tobe shouted. "Shamon, cast the spell. NOW!"
"Fine..." Shamon said, shrugging his shoulders. "But, don't say that I didn't warn you." Shamon sighed. Shamon picked up his scepter that was resting in the corner.
"Sho-me-wooo-qaa-ee-gin-o-meee-tee-bawooo-no!" Shamon chanted.
"Shamon, don't tell me you were reading the boo...woah!" Tobe said as he he started growing bigger and bigger by the second.
"Hey, it worked! Eh!" Clown said while having neck spasms.
A few seconds later the roof of the building was broken with a dent that had the shape of Tobe's skull.
"Yes...at this size, I was be able to completely destroy anyone that stands in my way! Look out sooga, here I come! Mwahahahaha!" Tobe said.
However, he wasn't aware someone was watching him from the forest; It was Garu's spirit. 'So that's what he's going to do now. I better tell the others, and fast. This won't end well if Tobe actually succeeds.' Garu's spirit thought to himself. 'If anything, hundreds of people would be at stake here. The last thing this village needs is a bloodbath of dead bodies. Pucca, Garu, Ching, and Abyo, here I come...'
Well it seems that things are starting to pick up, isn't it? It's quite interesting how Quien started out as this major, jealous asshole and then somehow gained a sense of conscious and a brain. I'll be wrapping up this story pretty soon, but that doesn't mean that the actual plot will be finished. Like I said in one of the previous chapters, since most of you want a sequel, it'll happen so look out for it once this story is finished.
On another note, I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter. It didn't take me as long to make this chapter, but it still took me a while to finish, edit it, etc. Also, I asked this last time, but seriously, if anyone knows how to edit old chapters then please tell me. Just reading through the previous chapters make me cringe due to all the errors they have lol. Welp, that's all for now. See you in this next chap!
