Chapter 10: Untill I Get To Party... Teddy Perspective

"Friends?" I stared at my ex fiance and smiled with a labored nod.

I looked at the door to see my fiance hovering by the door looking uncertain. I smiled and slightly opened my arms but she only just entered the room and stood by the door looking around the room.

"Don't let her beat you up too much." Victoire smiled at me before striding out of the room with a bag of empty potion vials and a sharp click of the door being shut.

"Your father left, he says he'll talk to you later if I don't kill you first." Katherine stared at me with a look that portrayed her anger. "I know that you're angry and..." We stared at each other and she rolled her eyes, "And what? You understand why I'm angry, you wanted to tell me, you thought you were protecting me? You know that I'm angry and what?"

"I do understand why you're angry, however I didn't want you to know and it wasn't because I wanted to protect you it was to keep you happy." The room was eerily silent before Katherine whispered in a murderous tone, "Oh well you should've seen me down stairs, I was so happy when you were in the middle of your little episode and I was downstairs. Everyone I talked to knew what was going on but me, for the bloody best though, ignorance is bliss."

She slowly began to stride towards her bed, "If your not going to tell me the truth, or at least a clever porky instead of that tom tit tale, then I'm going to..." I pulled her on her bed by her petite hands and wrapped her in my embrace making sure her angry look met my amused one. "What are you going to do? You love me far too much to leave me!" I felt a quick twatt in the stomach and I let go of her. "And you love me too much to lie to me... oh wait."

"Katherine, I didn't want you to know because I knew you'd react and…" Katherine snorted and continued to scowl, "You were trying to protect me, and so was my father. I'm not a child and I didn't realize I needed to be protected like one."

"Kat, if you really want to know I'll tell you but-" Before I could say 'don't ask questions you don't want to know the answers too' Katherine answered bluntly, "I really want to know and you should tell me." told her the story I told Harry when we came back from the auror mission in Scotland.

"So when I almost died in Scotland I created a rip in time which caused a bunch of time travellers to appear, which is somehow affecting you not so well." Katherine's face softened and she steadily regarded at me, "In which case it is my fault and you lied when you said it wasn't."

I shook my head and started to open my mouth but she continued, "And both of our parents and your exfiance know, along with Rico who you apparently are already acquainted with."

I nodded and she rolled over with her back facing mine and I gently kissed her soft hair, "We don't know how the rip in time was created, but we know that the consequences aren't very good."

"Like, whatever is happening to you?" I nodded, "My dad travelled back as a teen and doesn't want kids so he's changing the future. I think another 1995 version of my dad can't have helped things."

Katherine looked at me with worry in her eyes but I continued before she could say anything, "Anyway, now you know a secret, our secret, and you cannot tell everyone else to secretly get even."

Katherine turned to look at me at her face scrunched in concentration, "I don't secretly get even; I just believe all is fair in love and war!" I shook my head and Katherine's face slowly began to turn pink. "And anyway, what do you mean by our secret?"

I looked at her just long enough to see her green eyes widen, "You mean your dad doesn't know. Teddy, he deserves to know…" "Telling them the truth will ruin my parents' relationship."

My mom would immediately assume that my father didn't want children because she wasn't enough for him and she'd probably begin to wonder if she was ever enough for him. Then my father would feel guilty for not having me and guilty for making mum depressed, and then he'd wonder if it was his fault for settling with my mum and having me in the first place.

And of course they'd both feel bloody awful for me and they'd probably feel even worse for Katherine. Then the fear for the rest of their children would come and I'd have officially destroyed both my parents. But Katherine already knows how my parents think and why I haven't told them yet.

"And what about Embry and the rest of your younger sibling, not only will your parents find out then but they'd be even more hurt if that you didn't trust them enough to tell them yourself."

I met her eyes and she sighed rubbing my forearm. "Fine, tell me your plan and I'll help." I couldn't tell her my plan because I didn't want her involved in time travel, especially if it's dangerous. If I lied though, she'd just pretend not to be hurt and react by fixing the problem herself and saying 'I told you so' when she figured she was right. The way I see it I'm royally screwed.

"I need you to help me by becoming friends with my dad- the one in 1995," at Katherine's inquisitive look I soon added, "If you can work from the inside"

"-Then I can change his mind and stop the process, Teddy you are a genius!" I smiled softly, "What, no I could snog you right now?"

Katherine smiled and leaned in, "I could snog you right now, or I could go talk to your father."

I leaned in so our lips were almost touching, "Or you could snog me."

...It's safe to say when Katherine's dad and my mum walked in the room our mouths were too busy to say hello.

Katherine's Perspective

"I can't believe I still have to go..." The party for my birthday was already in full swing at the flat I shared with Leah, and Teddy was on his way to a club with Orion and Liam.

"Don't worry Katherine love, Teddy's been doing this the past week, he'll be fine." My godmother Nymphadora Tonks Lupin was trying to console me as I got dressed into a purple summer dress and she braided my hair into a plait. I thought back to when Teddy got slightly pale or he stopped morphing his hair for a couple of hours and sighed, he really did get the worse of it today.

"I can't believe I never thought, never realized..." My godmother hugged me, "Teddy didn't want you worried and your dad thought it would be best if only we knew so he agreed not to tell you." I stiffened, "When did Victoire become we?" "Oh you know what I mean, Victoire only knows because your mother let it slip, and besides you know as well as I do Teddy would've told you before he told any of us if it wasn't auror related."

I smiled, letting her know I wasn't really angry any more and let her leave the room before I apperated.

"…I got this feeling on a summer day when you were gone I crashed my car into the bridge I watched I let it burn I threw your shit into a bag and pushed it down the stairs, I crashed my car into the bridge I don't care I love it I don't care..." The loud music pumped a rhythmic beat as that song and others came on from muggle artists as well as magical ones like the Weird Sisters.

I barely had time to regain my balance before Victoire bumped into me and whipped around with a sneer, "C'est la fille que j'ai parlé (This is the girl I spoke about.); Katherine." Fluer nodded with a fake smile looking me up and down before muttering something to Victoire as they walked away.

"Well, just in case I thought we were going to act civil..." I sighed as I got whisked away by my room mate and party planner Leah to dance. "Your birthday's rockin', yeah?" I rolled my eyes, "You know it! Though I don't know how you got time travellers to make an appearance to my party." I smiled, I saw Tonks and Remus talking by the vodka punch bowl.

"Yeah, that part was easy as hell, Sirius invited himself and my dad came to watch him with my mum followed suit. Then Victoire invited her mother and-" Two twin red headed figures appeared next to Leah and I, "-you're party was just so incredibly epic we decided to make an appearance." Fred was dancing with George as they did the Hippogriff Shuffle which consisted of flapping their arms, shaking their butts, grooving, and stomping feet. "Oh come on guys join in you know you wanna."

Soon everyone in the room was doing the Hippogriff Shuffle and singing, "Oh! Can you dance like a hippogriff? Na na na ma ma ny na na ny na Flyin' off from a cliff Na na na ma ma ny na na ny na Swooping down to the ground Na na na ma ma ny na na ny na Wheel around and around and around and around Na na na ma ma ny na na... Groove around like a scary ghost, Spooking himself the most, Shake your booty like a boggart in pain, Again and again and again, Get it on like an angry spectre Who's definitely out to get ya' , Stamp your feet like a leprechaun Gettin' it on, gettin' it on. Can you dance like a hippogriff?"

I was laughing as my favourite Wierd Sisters song went off and Jackson 5 started to play, "Can it be I stayed away too long? Did I leave your mind when I was gone? It's not my thing trying to get back, But this time let me tell you where I'm at... I wanna, wanna be where you are, Anywhere you are, I wanna, wanna be where you are, Everywhere you are!"

I was pulled away by Caleb, who is Teddy's younger brother and twirled in a loose dance of spins and steps, "You wanna be where I am?" I raised my eyebrow and he laughed good heartedly, "Not especially, but you know Michael Jackson is the man and I wanted to dance with my future sister in law so here we are... congrats by the way" I danced with him to the beginning of another muggle artist before Jasper stole me away while the music played.

"Say something, I'm giving up on you, I'll be the one, if you want me to, Anywhere I would've followed you, Say something, I'm giving up on you-" I laughed in his shoulder as we slow danced, "You're over six feet slow dancing with a girl that's like five and a half feet tall." He smiled, "Yes but your in pumps so it looks normal of sorts." I looked over my shoulder to see Caleb dancing with Jasper's girlfriend, "Leah's teasing me with all of these romantic song, isn't she?"

"Actually the dance with Caleb was intentional because he used to have a minor crush on you, but after he saw our parents dancing she added this one, don't worry though the dj's playing hard core wizarding music when you and Embry dance, I think Ministry of Magic?"I stomped on his foot angrily, "Those songs give away stuff about the war."Jasper shrugged, "Yeah well too bad! Oh look songs almost over." Jasper spun me twice and pulled me towards him looking into my eyes with a smirk and a wink before pushing me away and letting me fall into Embry.

"It's not enough To say that time Can mend my wings That one day I'll fly And it's not enough This acheless scar Some wounds are still burning Let me live as one earning his life." The chorus was booming as the time travellers finally started to notice what this song was really about.

Embry and I were in the middle of a crazy jumping, pushing and pulling, twist like dance when Fred and George popped up next to us. "Do explain why you are dancing to a song about Harry Potter." Embry smiled his dangerous but pacifying smile, "Give us an hour to dance and get everyone out and we'll explain, all right?" They nodded suspiciously and slicked away as the last lines, "Darkest nights turn into dawns, Golden lights are chords for songs of love, Something death cannot erase" played and the song went off.

I danced with people from the auror office, friends from Hogwarts, and people whose parents were friends with mine for the next two hours as the people from the past impatiently pretended to be their future selves. Finally, after much pressuring, Lena and Leah brought out cupcakes with white icing and champagne bows that were chocolate flavoured; and champagne icing with pearl flowers that were vanilla flavoured were on multiple platters (7166/6446607679_4173ced9be_ is the link to the cupcakes).

"You guys, they're such beautiful cupcakes, aww and now I can't cut myself with a knife like last time." There were chuckles as everyone remembered my nineteenth birthday. "Well actually it was mostly Lena and Grace because I burn everything I touch so..." Leah shrugged and everyone started to singing, "Happy Birthday To You, Happy Birthday To You, Happy Birthday Dear Katherine, Happy Birthday To You-" I felt myself being turned around to see Teddy holding a small cake and singing, "Make A Wish Birthday Girl."

Everyone cooed over us as Teddy kissed me chastely and handed me a light turquoise cake with emerald green icing that read 'Happy 20th Birthday Katherine'. The sides looked like they had miniature roses all over the sides and top as it sat on a china plate with a silver fork attached. I looked at Teddy and saw his happy go lucky smile he often adapted when drunk and sat down on a kitchen stool placing my plate on the counter and pulled him on a stool next to mine right after the last couple of people got a cupcake and went to the living room.

"You made me a personal cake Teddy?" Teddy laughed, "Well, erm... yes, it's, yeah a cake." He was giving me another toothy grin and I sighed, "And why did you back me a bloody personal cake?" "When I made my mums cake you said you liked the frosting and so I made one so you can have the frosting-" Teddy almost slipped out of the stool but I grabbed his forearms to steady him and he cupped my checks his smile slightly dropping.

"You like the cake, don't you love?" I immediately felt awful for making him feel bad, "I love it, it looks so beautiful what kind of cake is it?" His goofy smile was back and probably bigger then before when he proudly answered, "It's an ombre cake but I'm not going to tell you the flavour until you try it." I raised my eyebrows, "I'm not trying it until I get a picture of this cake." He stumbled up and almost fell but I pulled him back down, "You know what? I'm going to start eating the cake anyway."

I took a small bite and my mouth buds exploded. The turquoise frosting was butter cream but the cake was the best part; it was a chocolate fudge cake, and not the kind that's really chocolate with fudge frosting, but it was actually this warm chewy chocolaty fudge and I loved it. "You do love it, I see it in your eyes!" Teddy stumbled up and I gently sat him on the floor before grabbing the ice-cream and a fork with two spoons.

I slid down next to him placing my head on his shoulder and taking another forkful of cake. "Katherine?" Teddy was looking down at me, "I'm sorry." I raised my eyebrows at his bizarre comment and watched him carefully, "Don't be sorry." He looked down with a blush, "I should be, I'm drunk on your birthday and I came late." I smiled up at him before leaning back on his shoulder and picking my spoon up, "You can make it up to me by showing me that super drunk smile you showed me a minute ago." He gave me a small smile and I shoved a spoonful of ice-cream into my mouth. "I'm going to go, I'll see you at work tomorrow?"

I looked up meeting his sad blue eyes, "I'm glad you're late, I can eat cake with the best fiancé in the world in private, and if you leave I'll only leave with you-" He shook his head silently but wrapped his arms around me in a secure position.

After a while, Lena came in and forced us to kick the guests out, after many thank you for comings and I hope you enjoyed yourselves I was fed up to the point of yelling 'you don't have to go home, but you can't stay here so get out' but Teddy snogged me closed the door quickly after the last guest left.

"Yeah, it's too bad you don't have the sodding flat to yourselves or that long snog wouldn't be disgusting." Leah stood with Emmet and Lena while Victoire, Fleur, Sirius, Katerina, the twins, and my fiancé's parents surrounded us.

"Well you've had you party, your fun in games, now start talking." Fred looked annoyed and George mock stern as they made their demands.

"What about?" Teddy looked confused and Remus gawked at Ted.

"The future of course." George said the same time Fred said, "About our lives." And Sirius said, "About details of the war." Tonks said, "About your lives and how our children turn out." Remus noted, "How about how you are my son." And finally Fleur said at the exact same time as everyone else, "Why you broke my daughter's heart to be with someone so plain." Unfortunately heating or understanding six sentences at once is difficult so Emmett had to intervene.

"Err... that is a lot of information isn't it? Why don't you pick one-" "No we didn't wait here to only have one question answered." Sirius looked angry and everyone else wasn't far behind him. "Okay dad, why don't we play a game?"

This seemed to cheer people up, "What kind of game? One that has to do with you answering our questions." Fluer still looked spectacle and side way glance at Teddy as Leah clarified, "We could play truth or dare. We answer your questions with truth and have loads of fun with dare."

Teddy kissed my forehead tiredly, "I'll see you tomorrow love." I leaned up for a proper snog and whispered just before our lips met, "You know you're not going to work tomorrow, right?" He gave me his drunken crooked grin, "You gonna stay home and make me?" I kissed him chastely and nodded before he flooed to his flat.

Fred and George soon left as well, in hopes that their mother wouldn't notice their absence or the smell of alcohol and spliff all over them, or maybe it was because they wanted to get to Alicia and Angelina's rooms before the girls decided to fall asleep.

"Truth or dare?" I'm first to spin the bottle and it lands on none other than Remus, he seems to think, "Dare." I smiled, "I dare you to spend tonight in bed with Tonks, but at least one part of you has to be touching her at all times." Remus choked on his whiskey and Tonks looks a little hurt that he didn't look happy. Sirius however, started his barking laugh as everyone looked at me in shock.

"What? Go big or go home, anyway your bonkers if you think I'm being hard, I could've said Fleur." Everyone's eyes widened but Remus regarded me with new found interest as the empty bottle spun, "Your dating my son?" With my nod he began to focus on the slowing bottle; I looked at his faint smile.

"Truth or dare?" Speaking of Fleur, her daughter Victoire got picked and she smiled warmly, "Truth." Remus raised his eyebrows but maintained his calm look, "How did Voldemort die?" "1997, in Hogwarts, by Harry." She gave a bored flick of the bottle and it landed on Emmet, "Truth or dare?"

"Dare." "I dare you to pick truth for the rest of the game so they can get the information they want." There was an inferred 'and leave' but Emmet roughly spun the bottle and smirked when it landed on Fleur, "Truth or dare pumpkin?" Victoire's look screamed 'don't call her that' but he ignored her as Fleur giggled. "Dare." "Okay why don't you sit in between Katherine and Victoire for the rest of the game." Fleur looked confused but Victoire looked livid and my own look of shock displayed all anyone needed to know about that dare.

Fleur spun and it landed on Sirius, "Who is your girlfriend?" "I never said truth." Fleur shrugged, "The point of this game is to get information so who is your girlfriend?" Katerina sighed and Sirius smiled, "I was in Romania around the same time she was. Her mother is Macedonian however she was born in Kavarna, Bulgaria along with her sister. She is a siren and I was in Romania helping Charlie out with stuff when I met her."

Remus turned to Sirius, "When were you in Romania?" Sirius shrugged, "After Harry's third year I flew to Romania and laid low for a while. You remember when I bought a Firebolt and sent Pigwiggen, Ron's owl? Well I did that from Bulgaria on my way to meet Charlie in Romania. " Siruis' spin landed on Victoire, "Why aren't you happy to be here?"

Victoire shrugged, "because Emmett's an ass and Katherine's here." I closed my eyes and groaned, and let the Victoire Show begin. When the bottle landed on Katerina Victoire glanced at Emmett and smiled, "I want you to snog Remus for two minutes straight and if you come up for air you've got to start over, Emmett you'll count." At Emmett's murderous look Victoire turned to me, "No, okay then, Kathrine you count."

Leah, "Eww, I never thought my dad would kiss my aunty in front of my mom and uncle in my flat." Leah started to spin the bottle as her father and aunt started to snog, Lena stared at them in disgust as Tonks looked at her feet. I silently opened another bottle for her and passed it along. "Truth or Truth Fleur?" Fleur smiled taking another swig of whiskey, "Dare." Leah smiled, I felt bad for Fleur.

"I want you to take two unopened bottle of whiskeys, strip to your underwear, and go on Charlie's bed." Fleur stopped smiling and Leah's smile got larger, "You can't leave until he willingly snogs you though." After much French cursing, Fleur flooed out and Victoire looked at Leah angrily as she shrugged. Leah's next spin landed on Lena and Leah smiled, "Summarize each year of the war in ten words or less."

"Umbridge teaches badly and Harry creates a duelling club. Fight in ministry with Order and Eaters, Dumbledore finds horcrux. Harry hunts rest of horcruxes, Voldemort dies and we win." Lena smiled at her three weird sentences, "Times up." Remus and Katerina broke apart and Katerina took her turn.

When everyone had at least one more turn and Fleur didn't come back, Emmett said he'd go find her. I shared a look with Emmett when he left though, he wasn't going to go find Fleur. Sirius is with Katerina in Leah's room and Remus was in a conversation with Lena. Leah is cleaning up, she's going to her boyfriend's house for the night and doesn't want to leave her aunt and uncle in a messy flat.

I sat next to Tonks who was sprawled face down on my bed. "I'm sorry, about Victoire I mean, that was-" "No it's fine, I mean Remus and I aren't together." "Well you do have to spend the whole night with him, maybe it'll be romantic." Tonks sniffed, "he'd rather snog Katerina then go on a date with me." I looked down and was about to respond when, "I'm sure that's not true-" Remus stood in the doorway and I heard him mutter as I walked out of the room, "-I'd rather stay alone without either of you." I closed the door with a sigh, I really had no clue how Teddy was still going to be born at this rate.

Nymphadora Tonks and Remus John Lupin were one of the only couples who have always been, perfect. They just fit together, I still can't imagine them any other way. I sat on my couch taking relaxing breaths, I suppose I'd be the last one to leave for the night. Besides, being kicked out of my flat would give me an excuse to check up on Teddy.

"Are we tired already doll face?" Victoire was sitting in my kitchen drinking my expensive wine from the bottle, she is the only one who hasn't left yet. "You know your a real bitch for doing that." I walked closer to Victoire and whispered, "Especially since you know damn well how sensitive Remus' relationship is with-" Victoire threw her almost empty wine bottle weakly and it hit the kitchen table with a crash and wine spilled everywhere.

"I am not the only bitch in this relationship! Or have you forgotten?" Victoire stood up and picked up another bottle of expensive wine, "Would Teddy still want you if he found out about our little secret?"

Victoire corked the bottle and took a jug out of the bottle before laughing and messing with my hair, "You know you really fucked up in Scotland. Time travellers and all, well and your-" I snatched the bottle out of her hand and scowled at Victorie evenly, "Victoire what do you want?" She smiled widely and snatched the bottle back,

"Your fiancé in my pants." She took another swig before laughing, "Luckily for me that might not be that hard." I scowled at Victoire until she aperated away. She had to have my fiancé and her husband and my soul for her psychotic satisfaction!

But I couldn't help but think, would Teddy want me when he found out?

I climbed into my fiancé's bed and kissed his cheek before rolling over. After a few moments he automatically pulled me toward him and snuggled his head in my hair and I sighed.

Merlin, what was I going to do? Victoire knew my secret, well of course she did she's the one who's helping me cover it up, she's also the only one who knows. It also makes it so much more harder because if she told Teddy and he found out my cousin, who I mutually dislike, knew before him he'd- he'd-.

I couldn't breath, I had to get up to get some air, maybe some tea, Merlin's beard I'm screwed! I ran into the kitchen and put the kettle on, and got my comforting mug out, not more than five minuets later I was sitting quietly drinking my tea and trying to relax when I noticed Teddy sitting next to me with concern in his deep blue eyes.
