Disclaimer: I don't own Austin and Ally
Austin's POV
"How the fuck, did you return without her." I growl. The man's eyes were fearful and his face grew pale.
"Austin calm down…" Cassidy whispered.
"You shut up!" I shout. Cassidy winced and pressed her lips together. Michael's right eye was closed and beginning to bruise. My handy work I might add. Two days, he returned this morning with the news that Ally wasn't with him. That someone had abducted the both of them. He escaped and arrived to us just this evening. Without Ally. I grabbed his collar and pressed him against a wall. He yelped and glanced at the others for help. None of them dared to step in.
"I…I couldn't. She wasn't with me. They separated us." He stuttered. I scowl and toss him on the ground harshly. He yelps as he lands on his side and holds this left arm.
"Austin calm the frick down!" I turn around and glare at Dez, the only one brave enough to interrupt me. "We are going to find her and get her back."
"How?! This jack ass doesn't remember where they've taken him! He doesn't know where the fuck Ally is, he was the only one with her! She's in a hopeless situation! What if they're interrogating her?! She is no longer safe, she could DIE!" Dez scowl's and raises his fist and it connects to my face. I fall silent, eyes widen in surprise. I hold my cheek and glance at Dez. He just punched me.
"She has her ear piece, her wits. Austin she isn't helpless anymore! Get that through your fucking thick skull! You're acting like she's the same woman we kidnapped months ago! Wake up Austin! You obviously can't always be there to protect her! She's strong enough to survive on her own!" Dez shouted, eyes blazing with anger. I've hardly ever seen Dez this way, only a few times in my entire life. Never once was it directed at me. "You're the real jack ass. Geez Austin, have faith in her!" I scowl and grit my teeth, clenching my fist. I hang my head in shame and I hear Dez sigh. He doesn't say sorry, he walks out of the room. The place was deadly silent before I feel a hand on my shoulder.
"Austin…Dez is right." Cassidy says. "Calm down, we're going to find her." I look down at her and sigh. I nod and glance up at everyone. They stared at me, in pity and in concern. For me and Ally. I draw in a quivered breath and look back at Cassidy.
"I'm taking a walk." I say, before heading outside. Once I left the building I lean against the wall for support. My heart is throbbing and my face disorientates in pain. She's gone. I know I should have more faith, but I need to know she's okay. She won't be. I sigh and reach into my pocket and pull out the Media Drive. The locket was small yet heavy and my thumb traced over the 'A' imprinted on it. Ally. I drew in a quivering breath. Men don't cry do they? I scowl and punch the wall just as my vision begins to blur. My knuckles are red and scrapped. I don't care. I don't care. I press my lips together and walk. I really don't care where to. But I felt so stupid. I saw the helicopter. I heard the scream. But I froze. I was robotic when I chased it down. I ran the entire day, even when I couldn't see the helicopter anymore, I ran. It was useless. They're after Ally for this piece of crap in my hand, and she doesn't have it. I scowl and glare at the sidewalk. She doesn't have it because I do. I do. It will be my fault if anything happens to her. I stumbled along the pavement until my legs didn't support me anymore. I fell on my knees to the ground. I drew my knees in and hugged them. I continued to glare at the ground, cursing myself every other second. I glanced up at the darkened sky, a single star shining. Is it stupid for me to make a wish? At the moment I don't care.
"Please be safe…." I whisper into the air, towards to the star. "Please…" I stayed there for the rest of the night my vision blurred with tears I wouldn't allow to escape, with the anger I held inside. I blacked out before the sun even came up.
"Austin." A hand shook my shoulder and I glanced up to see Dez. I give him a weak smile and sit upright. I glance around. I was back at the hotel. "Here, you should eat. You haven't eaten in two days. Ally wouldn't like it if you starved yourself." He holds up a platter of pancakes and I roll my eyes. I still give him a smile.
"Thanks." I say before taking the plate from him. I take a bit and chew slowly, the silence extremely awkward.
"Sorry man." Dez finally says. I swallow my food and glance at him. His eyes were filled with sorrow and I sigh.
"No, you were right. She's not the same girl from a few months ago." I say. Dez chuckles. "I should have more faith."
"Hey, a man in love is dangerous and delusional." Dez offers. I laugh.
"Are they? I can't tell." We both laugh, something that feels as if I haven't done so in years. Or laughs die down and I grimace. "You think we'll find her in time?" Dez gives me a weak smile.
"We sure are trying everything. We're giving it our all."
"Yes but will we find her?" Dez and I have a stare down and I'm afraid I'll be looking at a black eye in the mirror soon.
"I don't know…" Dez says honestly. "But have faith Austin. That's all you can do, its all we can do. For now." He pats my back and gets up. "I'm going with Trish back to my room. I still want to interrogate Chuck." I chuckle darkly.
"Don't murder him Dez." I say. Dez gives me a glare.
"You would want to if you were me." I nod.
"I know….I'm sorry." I say with what I hope is a comforting smile. Dez smiles back and waves.
"See you."
"Yea…" And he closes the door. Leaving me alone with my thoughts and the Media Drive. That godforsaken Media Drive.
It's been three days and still no contact at all from Ally. They guys have had me locked in my room in case I attack Michael again; Dez usually comes in to check on me. A knock on the door signals Dez and I sigh.
"Come-"
"AUSTIN WE GOT IT WE GOT IT!" He shouts. My eyes widen and my heart stops.
"You got what?" I ask suspiciously, just in case I'm wrong about what he's ging to say next. I am not disappointed.
"ALLY SHE CALLED! SHE CALLED!" Dez says frantically and worriedly. I begin to smile until I notice Dez is crying.
"Dez?"
"They… They.." He chokes.
"They What Dez?!"
"Jimmy's son called… and put her on the phone… She doesn't sound good." He chokes. "He says that if the interrogations continue she could die." And I'm suddenly frozen again.
"Did you track the signal?" I ask. Dez nods. I nod in understanding and take a deep breath. "Let's go, before I decide to strangle Michael and use him as a punching bag."
A/n: Okay, well at least Jimmy's son aint the bad guy, and now in case you don't know, Ally has been gone for six days. Next chapter will be her POV. I hope you enjoyed this chapter ^^ Have an AWESOME Thanksgiving! Love you guys! Even the silent readers! Thank you all for reading ^^
