Sorry for the wait for an update! It is my goal to finish all of my stories, and I am trying to do this! I'm not really sure where I was going with this story, but I'm just going to post what I already had written and see where we can go from here! Let me know what you think!
Chapter 10: Discoveries
"Sam!" Jason yelled, seeing a flash of dark hair. He followed the direction it had come from. "Sam!"
The boat tilted, sending water flying his way. He ran faster, even more determined to find her.
He heard a yell from somewhere on the left side of the boat and went there. Inside a tiny room, he could see a woman with shoulder length brownish-blonde hair, but her back was turned to him. There was a little boy sitting on her lap, his thumb in his mouth. The little boy had big, brown eyes that immediately stared at Jason, drawing him in.
"Um, excuse me?" he asked quietly, trying not to startle the woman. She didn't even jump. "The boat is sinking."
"We know." The woman stood up from the bed.
Jason gasped in shock at the familiar face. "Emily?"
"Jase?" but it didn't come from the woman standing in front of him. Another woman with long, dark hair walked in from a room connected to the first. "Jason, is that you?"
"Emily?" she nodded. "But…how?"
"I'll explain later, but right now, we need to get off this boat." She ran over to a crib in the corner of the room and lifted up a baby, another little boy. He was fast asleep. She wrapped a blanket around him and carried him out, passing him to Jason. "We have to hurry."
"Amelia." The girl with the shorter hair mumbled. "We must find Amelia."
"I will." Emily assured her. "Jason, this is Rebecca. I need you to get her and the boys off of this boat now."
"I can't. Sam's on here. They've got my daughter."
"Jason, please."
"Becca!" a little girl with bare feet and long hair ran down the hall.
Emily lifted her up, passing her to her brother. "Just get off this boat."
Jason knew he couldn't leave three children to whatever fate Helena and Viktor had set for them. He grabbed Rebecca's arm and gently led her through the complicated hallways and back the way he had come.
Nikolas and Patrick were in the water near the entrance. Jason passed the little girl to Patrick, the little boy to Nikolas, and he helped Rebecca and the boy she was holding. They got onto the docks as fast as possible.
"Emily's in there!" Jason shouted.
Nikolas whipped around to face him. "Emily?"
"Yes." Before he could stop him, Nikolas was back in the water. Jason turned to Patrick. "Where are Carly, Robin, and the kids?"
"In the car."
"Take Rebecca and these three and get to them. Hurry."
Jason dove into the water.
Nikolas ran through the boat, searching everywhere for Emily. This couldn't be some cruel joke. He had to find her. After being away from her for so long, she had to be there.
He saw a flash of dark hair and grabbed the woman by her arm. It wasn't Emily, but he knew her.
"Claudia?"
She frowned. "My name is Amelia."
"You need to get off this boat."
"I can't. I have to find my son."
"Two little boys and a little girl were taken off of the boat already."
Claudia/Amelia (whatever her name was) looked at him. "There are still two more children on the boat. Two girls."
"I'll find them." He promised. She ran down the hallway and out of view.
Nikolas heard a baby cry. He tried to open the door, but it was jammed shut. He slammed into it, managing to break it open. He ran over to the bassinet and saw that the baby inside was Ava.
"Ava." He lifted her up, holding her close to him. "It's okay, sweetie. I'm going to get you out of here."
He started to go towards the door, but a woman ran in. When she saw him, her face lit up.
"Nikolas?"
"Emily!" he pulled her into his arms. "Emily, I can't believe it's you!"
"We need to leave. Now." He gave Ava to her and led her away.
Sam threw open door after door. Just when she was about to give up, she found one that was painted light pink. A queen sized bed was in the center of the room and there was a little girl with bright pink lips, dark eyes, curly brown hair, and dimples sitting on it. She stared at Sam.
"Hi, sweetie." She greeted slowly. "My name is Sam. I'm gonna help you, okay?"
"No." she objected, crossing her arms. She grabbed the doll that was sitting next to her.
Viktor sprinted into the room, his eyes darkening when he saw her. "Get out of here."
"Who is this? What have you done to her?" Sam shouted.
"What do you mean? This is our perfect Cassadine. Isn't she gorgeous?" He smiled at the child, who showed off her dimples and perfect little teeth. "Scarlett Adelaide Nikoletta."
Sam grabbed the gun that was still held in her hand. She pulled it up and pointed it at his head. "Goodbye, Viktor."
She fired.
The little girl screamed as Viktor fell to the floor, his blood splattering everywhere. Sam lifted her up off of the bed, making her cry even more. She ran from the room, slamming into Jason.
"I can't find Ava." They said at the same time. They felt the boat rock.
"Sam, we have to go." Jason whispered, though it was breaking his heart.
"We can't leave without her."
"The boat is wired to explode. We have to."
Before they could take another step forward, two children walked out of a bedroom, a boy and a girl. The boy watched them wearily as the girl held a little boy in her arms.
"Who are you?" the boy called out, glaring at them.
"My name is Sam, this is Jason."
The girl walked forward. "Are we leaving?"
"Yes, if you want to." Jason told her. She ran towards him, falling into his arms. He was surprised, but held onto her. "Are you coming?" he asked the older boy. He didn't answer, but followed them out.
Sam climbed up onto the docks and Jason handed the sobbing little girl to her. The little boy went up next, then the other girl, and then the older boy. Jason raised himself up just as the boat exploded.
