A/N: Ok. I'm back on for another chapter. I'm so so sorry for my unannounced and unplanned hiatus, but now I realize that I can't let school control my whole life so now I am gonna be continuing and finishing my two stories then I'm gonna start another one. This chapter may be a little short because I'm still getting used to writing FF again. Nonetheless, I hope you enjoy whatever this chapter holds. Bye!
I wake up wrapped in Tobias's arms. I look at the lock and see that it is 10:00am. After squeezing out of Tobias' arms I decide to make breakfast before everyone wakes up. I go into the kitchen to start. I turn on the coffee maker then put on water to make tea. I pull the eggs, milk and bacon out of the fridge then get flour and sugar. I also get some other ingredients to make pancakes. I also take out the Looney Tunes waffle iron. (A/N: I used to have one of these. It's wonderful.) I mix the batter for the pancakes and waffles then start making them. I do the waffles first, making Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck. Then I start making the pancakes and put the bacon into the oven. I finish the pancakes then make a big plate of eggs. Lastly, I cut up several different fruits and put them in a bowl. I set everything on the table then walk back into the screening room. Everyone was still asleep, so I decide to have a little fun waking them up. I run into the kitchen, grab a pot and a wooden spoon and run into the screening room banging them together.
"WAKE UP. WAKE UP. IT'S A NEW DAY!"
I run over and jump on Tobias's chest. I'm light so I know I won't hurt him.
"Four….WAKE UP!"
"I am up and I hate you." He grumbles.
"No, you don't. You love me."
"Not anymore, I don't."
I lean over and place a kiss on his lips, everyone else had already went into the dining room, so I let the kiss deepen. I pull away much to his dismay.
"We'll continue this later." I say. I grab his hand and pull him into the dining room.
After we eat breakfast and clean up we start to get ready for our beach trip. Christina drags me into my room, along with the other girls while Tobias takes the guys to what has become his room.
Christina rummages through my bathing suit drawer looking for the "perfect" bathing suit. About 10 minutes later she pulls out one of my favorite bathing suits. It a pastel blue and black bikini from Triangl. Apparently, it will look so good on me that Four will drool. I laugh but change anyway. All the other girls change as well and I give them all cover- ups. We pack our bags, with towels, sunscreen, and other random stuff. Since we are going to play a quick game of paintball first we put our cover ups in our bags then pull on old clothes over our bathing suits. I have on some simple old skinny jeans and an old t-shirt. The girls have on similar clothing. We realize how long we are taking and rush downstairs. Since we are going to go to the beach we just put our hair in ponytails and have no makeup on.
We finally walk downstairs we see the boys just chilling out on their phones waiting for us. I clear my throat to get their attention. They look up and even though we have old, baggy clothes on, they seem to be entranced by our appearance. I walk over to Tobias and lean in as if to kiss him but instead snap my fingers in his face.
"Earth to To-Four." I say, catching myself before I revealed his real name. I'm still happy that I'm the only one that knows it.
"Wow. You look good Tris." He says, causing me to blush.
"I'm wearing old jeans and an old t-shirt, I look like hell. Anyway let's go paintballing." I say.
Before he or any of the other boys can respond, I am grabbing my keys and heading out the door. I hop into my Ferrari while the others figure out rides. Soon enough, the boys and the rest of the girls come into the garage. The girls hop into my car, me in the driver's seat, Christina in the passenger's seat and Shauna, Marlene, and Lynn in the back. The guys are in Tobias' car. I speed off down the driveway and stop as the gate opens. Just as we pull out of the gates, Christina starts to talk.
"So, Tris. Random question." She says in a singsong voice.
"And what would that be?" I say, knowing this is about Tobias.
"Do you know Four's real name?" She says casually. I slam on the breaks, taken by surprise by the question. After, getting myself together, I continue driving as if nothing happened.
"Maybe. Why do you ask?" I say, completely forgetting about earlier when I almost said it.
"Earlier when we were in the house, you said "T-Four". So what is it?" She asks. Her question angers me a little. That she thinks I would just tell them something like that even though they know he doesn't want them to know.
"Yes, I do know it but, it's none of your business and it's not mine to tell." I say curtly.
"Well damn Tris, what's up with you?" Christina says.
"I'm sorry, I just don't like the fact that you think I will just tell you guys his name even though you know he doesn't want you to know." I say, focusing on the road ahead of me.
"Wow. I didn't think of it like that. I'm sorry Tris." She says sincerely. I instantly feel bad.
"It's okay, Chris. Please just think about things beforehand. And I'm sorry for snapping." I say, pulling into a parking spot at the paintball arena.
"It's all good." She says. We all hop out of the car and head inside to pay and wait for the guys. Just as we finish paying, the boys walk in.
"Hey guys, you took forever." Chris says, as I hand the guys their guns and vests.
"Well sorry that I'm not an absolute speed devil with a death wish, like someone." Tobias says, staring at me pointedly. I just stick my tongue out at him and roll my eyes.
"Anyway, how should we do this? Boys versus Girls, couples, teams, or every man for themselves?" I say, as we walk to the arena which we've been given.
"Let's do couples. That should be fun." Uriah exclaims.
"Okay, couples it is." Four says. He then turns and smirks at me. He leans over close to me.
"I got this. Follow my lead." He whispers. I just laugh. He doesn't know that my brother used to teach me how to shoot all the time and I even reached the rank of sharpshooter.
"Okay. Number boy." With that, I run off as we all spread out. He grins then runs after me.
I hide behind one of the trees as I try to get a view on the others. The mini arena we are in is themed like a war-torn forest. There are blockades, and dropped trees spread out across the large room that is about 50 yards by 50 yards. Realizing that I can't see because of my height, I decide to climb the tree. Just as I'm starting to climb, I feel Tobias' presence behind me.
"And what do you think you're doing?" He says, looking around to make sure that no one is trying to sneak up on us.
"I'm short, I am trying to get a better vantage point. Up high I can set up a sniper perch." I say, automatically slapping myself mentally for giving away some of the knowledge I was trying to keep hidden from him.
"Well, how did you think of all of that?" Tobias whispers.
"I saw it on a tv show. Hawaii 5-0 was the name of it I think.(A/N: I fucking love Hawaii 5-0.)" I say.
"Okay. Carry on." He says, seeming to believe my story.
"Cover me."I say. He nods.
I swing my gun over my shoulder and begin to climb the tree again. When I get to the middle and stop but I still can't see anyone or anything so I continue to climb more. I end up reaching the very top of the tree but am covered by the leaves and other foliage. I look through my scope and look around the arena. While I am looking, I hear someone, I think Zeke, yell that Uriah and Marlene are out. Well that's one pair out. I see that top of Christina's poofy pun and decide to get her out. I breathe in and line up my shot. Double checking to make sure my shot is perfect, I breathe out and pull the trigger. I watch, seemingly in slow motion as the paint pellet flies through the air and explodes against her forehead. I smile as I think about all the hours I spent with Lucas in the gun range, perfecting my aim and stance and everything else that goes along with shooting.
"Uggh. Fucking hell." I hear Christina exclaim. I laugh as I begin to look for more people. After deciding that being in the tree is getting boring, I climb down and meet up with Tobias again.
"Did you just get Christina and Will out?" He asks.
"Yup." I say, ducking behind another tree, moving towards where I think I heard a voice. Looking around the corner I see no one. I could've sworn I heard voices over here. At that moment, I hear a footstep to my left and I know for a fact that Tobias is on my right hand side. I turn just in time to see Zeke and Shauna try-keyword try- to sneak up on me. Right before either of them can pull the trigger, I shoot Shauna and Tobias shoots Zeke. It was a sloppy shot on my part but it was in the moment so there wasn't much I could do. I turn and high-five Tobias.
"Now we just have to get Lynn. Then we win." I say to him as Zeke and Shauna walk off grumbling.
"I'm surprised that she didn't say anything about us playing couples. But then again, she does work well when she's by herself. Anyway, I don't think it's going to be very easy to get her. She's really skilled at this kind of stuff." He says, as we continue to sneak around.
"Well, let's try our best." I reply, hoping that I'll be able to get the better had on her.
We spend a good amount of time looking for Lynn. She really is good at these kinds of things. Just as we were gonna give up I spot movement out of the corner of my eye. I look and see a flash of her black shirt go behind a tree. I decide to act as if I hadn't seen her. I tap Toby.
"What happened? Do you see her?" He asks. I lean over and whisper to him.
"I saw her over to the left but I don't want her to know I've seen her. So kiss my cheek to make it look like we're having a moment." I say.
He follows my orders, giving me a kiss on the cheek then burying his head into my neck as I wrap my arms around his waist. I know that he is looking to see if he sees Lynn. We break apart then continue to walk in the direction we were walking in before, back to back. We silently decide to circle around and get to her. However, before we have that opportunity, Lynn appears on my right hand side. As I turn, before I can pull the trigger, I feel and see a paint pellet fly past my head and splatter against Lynn's vest. She cries out in frustration and slams her gun on the ground.
"WE WIN!" I scream. I turn around and hug Toby.
"Yeah, yeah whatever." Lynn says, still shaking her head.
"Nice shot Toby." I murmur into his ear as I best I can, because of my height compared to his.
"Thanks, Trissy." He says. We walk out to find all of our friends watching us.
"Where did you learn to shoot like that?" Christina exclaims. "You were like a good 100 yards away from us. And you had a small target cause I know you couldn't see my full head and face."
"You all agreed to play paintball with the sister of an over-protective Marine. What did you think was gonna happen?" I say as we head away to change into our beach clothes.
"Damn it. I don't know how I forgot that." Shauna says as we change. I'm usually uncomfortable changing in front of others but for some reason, it doesn't really bother me around these guys. They compliment my body as opposed to with my old "friends" who used to tell me to stuff my bra and do other things as such.
We walk out to yet again find the boy waiting for us in their swim trunks and t shirts. They look up as we walk around. They all start whistling and I just roll my eyes.
"Let's go boys. We can only spend a few hours because of the party. And the beach is definitely calling my name." I say, walking out of the glass doors to my car. Everyone follows behind me. However, this time, Tobias rides in my car with me as well as Will and Christina. He let Zeke drive his car with Uriah, Marlene, Shauna and Lynn.
"You're going to regret that decision. I hope you know that." I tell him as we pull out of the parking lot.
"Probably, but for a car ride with my girl, it's worth it. Plus Zeke knows that no matter what, if he messes up my car, I'll actually kill him." He responds, letting down the roof to make the car open. (A/N: I forgot what this is called so bare with me.)
I laugh as my hair starts to blow out in the wind. I start driving with one hand and Tobias takes my free one into his. He brings it up to his lips and rests it there. I am vaguely aware of Christina snapping a photo of the moment but I'm kind of glad that she did. I'll have to ask her for the picture later on.
I lean my head back but keep my eyes on the road. I forget all of my worries as I relax and drive to the beach (which is actually a lake that was changed to look like a beach) with my boyfriend and best friend. I have never felt more happy than I do right now.
A/N: Wow, I finally finished this chapter.
