Narcissa and Regulus quickly changed and then looked at Minerva, "Another Master?" they both questioned as the Snapes smirked. "Potions Master, a much respected man known around Europe and the British Isles." The door to her office opened and a familiar face walked in along with a family of four. A woman who had tears in her eyes stood next to her husband.
"Siegfried, who is ze fraulin that gave me…my family this miracle," the woman asked eagerly as he nodded to Harmony with a smile. "I bring proof of a beautiful moment, Minerva may I use the Mirror to display the memory?"
Minerva gestured eager to see the results of Harmony's work, "Of course," Siegfried bowed and used a spell to transfer the image of the memory of last night. The group watched entranced as the woman drank the potion, the Blacks flinched at the painful transformation from woman to werewolf. The wolf remained docile throughout the night only to back up when her little one somehow snuck inside the cage with her. The little girl curled up against her mother and hugged her neck squealing how she loved her mommy as a doggy but, loved her human mommy more.
Harmony allowed happy tears to pool in her eyes, "Sev, it worked…my potion worked!" Severus gave her a hug and whispered, "Yes Harmony, no one else will ever suffer the same fate as Tobias. Werewolves can be safe and so can their loved ones."
Siegfried gave a gentle smile as the woman moved forward to hug the younger girl with joy. "You gave my family and I, a precious gift. I will never forget it!" Harmony gave her a tight hug in return, "It was my pleasure." She looked to Siegfried who gave her a proud nod. "You did well and your work has paid off as it will for many others. You have your notes?"
Harmony nodded and pulled them from a rune she placed on her arm. "The rune is for storage in a magical subspace, only the person themselves can ever remove it." Her Masters went over the legal documents to make sure to copyright all notes and the potion recipe under her name. "The Wolfsbane Potion, that's what it should be called."
Her fellow apprentices stepped forward congratulating her on her triumph. Narcissa looked at the family in person and the memory. She hesitantly stepped forward, "Mam, does the change hurt terribly so?" She felt sympathy for the pain she witnessed in the memory. The woman smiled happy to educate the younger girl, "The pain was there yes but, it was the least amount of pain I have ever felt in all my years since I'd been attacked by Fenrir Greyback."
Harmony looked at the woman, "Can you tell me what you recall of last night?" The woman smiled, "Of course, I got into the containment with my robe as usual for my change. The pain was there but, nowhere near as severe as before. I was able to see through the eyes of the wolf and feel her affection for my family. She was wary of my little one coming in the cage but, relaxed to avoid hurting her." Her eyes filled with tears, "Even now I feel settled, I am me and yet, I am her, together we are a single person who loves as deeply and now we understand each other."
Harmony smiled, "Were you tempted to bite anyone?" The woman turned to her husband and smiled, "Not at all! For the first time I wasn't afraid, I wasn't violent, it was the best night of my life!" Harmony nodded, "I only hope the other's had the same results. I am glad I could give your family that." She turned to her Masters and they bid her to approach the desk. They had her sign forms claiming ownership of the recipe and the work as her own. The lines below for the Masters and Volunteer werewolves who participated in the trial, she smiled and asked, "Masters, do you think the Ministry of Magic will provide funding to supply these potions in all apothecaries without discrimination?"
Minerva gave a shrug, "One would think it's a good cause but, only time will tell. I'm sure if not the Ministry then the Board of Masters would. Many of us know friends that could use this potion." Siegfried nodded and pulled out 16 boxes placing four boxes in front of each apprentice.
"Minerva and I will share you as apprentices, during school you work primarily with Minerva and come the summer months we will all stay at my summer villa here in the Isles. Together we will teach you to be Masters of Transfiguration and Defense against the Dark Arts, Potions and Arithmacy." The four eagerly looked at each other with eagerness to learn.
The two Masters each pinned their two specialty pins on each student. From Minerva all four received 2 golden Lion pins with ruby eyes one holding a sword and shield, the other with a cub curled around the lion. From Siegfried they received a Falcon with a potion bottle grasped in its talon with sapphire eyes the metal was dark gunmetal gray and the second pin was an Owl with diamond eyes in silver holding numbers in his wings.
The four apprentices looked at the pins on each other beaming with pride. Their apprenticeships would officially begin. Narcissa drifted to Harmony and asked, "What inspired you to make the potion?" Harmony shared a sad smile with Severus, "In the neighborhood where our home was a nice muggle boy named Tobias, he was bigger than the other kids his age so they weren't kind to him. He came from a poor family and one night Fenrir Greyback was hunting for a victim. He attacked Tobias who was an innocent muggle boy."
Harmony began to choke up as did the family understanding the horror that likely followed but, Severus took over for his distraught sister. "On his first full moon, Tobias ended up killing someone on accident. He had lived alone and had no one to lock him away properly and seeing as he was a muggle…it made it even harder for him." He looked towards his sister who Master Siegfried was soothing and finished the tale simply. "Because of that he was hunted down and killed by ministry officials. She has been determined to help all werewolves gain rights ever since. She never wants another to be put down like an animal for something they had no control over."
Narcissa and Regulus looked at each other and the family along with Master McGonagall before sharing a nod. They would share the background behind the horror of the curse and the injustice of the deaths of many werewolves who weren't to blame for their circumstances. "How do you know it was Fenrir Greyback?" Regulus asked.
The woman stepped forward and showed them her bite marks, "Fenrir is known for attacking victims as children. I was one of his rare adult victims. He bits three times all in a row with each other. It's his signature. Any victim of Greyback is easily identified." Regulus looked sick and asked, "Do you mind if I record and image of this? I'd like My Lord Father to look into this." The woman nodded and Regulus summoned his camera from the dorm taking pictures of the puncture holes in her arms that healed over.
Throughout the day multiple testimonies and congratulations were flooding into the office as the four apprentices began their journey into the world of apprentices in order to become Masters.
