Hello all, love the reviews and reactions to last chapter and did you serious think that I would leave you all hanging for a week. I can't believe that there's already a hundred reviews. Okay so I totally knew that many of you would be upset with Santana (cause really she's an idiot), but damn some of your reviews where hilarious at how pissed you were (totally get that way too about stories I read). Just remember that one Santana wasn't thinking straight for a while she just felt so off and Brett did kind of overreact a bit too it was just a kiss (not that it was okay for Santana to do that to poor sweet Brett).

To the wonderful guest reviewer who wrote the novel of a review I personally loved your rant. I'm glad that you like my story despite the fact that it follows the trend of Brittany genderswap pieces getting Santana pregnant (which I agree with you on there are so many more than Santana ones) so after this piece I will write a Santana genderswap piece were she gets Brittany pregnant (I've already started my outlining process). Also I will not have Santana be a stay at home mom as I just don't see that as her kind of thing to do in this story. Oh and on your side note she didn't drink any of the drink last chapter as for any other alcohol consumption I hadn't really thought about it so I'm going to go with very little.

Okay onto the story now, but look at the end for another author note.

When Santana reaches Brett's door she realizes how stupid she's been. All she really wants is Brett nothing else matters. Though she really shouldn't have walked all the way here in the rain even though she's beyond pissed at her dad. Once she sees him she just wants him to wrap his arms around her.

"I'm pregnant." Santana somehow manages to say.

Brett stares at her a look of pure shock on his face. At first he thinks he might have heard her wrong, but the look on her face and the fact that she's holding her stomach makes him believe he heard right. That's when a huge smile crosses his face. He's always wanted kids.

"I'm going to be a dad?" Brett asks a hopeful look in his eyes.

"Yes Brett we're going to be parents." Santana softly says looking down at the ground.

"Did you walk here in the rain?" Brett asks pulling her in his apartment and into his solid body.

Santana nods into his chest, breathing in his intoxicating scent. She wraps her arms securely around his waist thinking this might be the last time he holds her like this.

"You shouldn't have walked here in the condition you're in. If you need to go anywhere please just call me." Brett says kissing the top of her head.

"You shouldn't be so nice to me." Santana sobs into his chest.

"Why not you're carrying my child." Brett says knowing that he's already forgiven her.

He should be angry with her still, but the fact that she's carrying his child makes it all okay. Everything that happened tonight is all explained by pregnancy hormones.

"I cheated on you and doubted your love. You can't just forgive me." Santana says pulling away from him.

"Maybe, but even after you said all those things I still loved you and right now that's all that matters." Brett whispers placing both hands on her flat stomach.

"When I realized that I was carrying your child all I could think was how I might have to raise our child alone and it scared me. I know I never should have doubted your love for me and I promise never to again." Santana says trying not to cry.

Brett just lightly kisses her and leads her to the couch. They both sit down; Santana snuggled close to Brett's side. He loves the way she's buried herself as much as she can into him. For a few minutes they just sit there quietly Santana collecting her thoughts in what she wants to say to him while Brett just stares at her belly in awe that his baby is in there.

"Brett," Santana says a little nervous about him getting angry with her.

"Yeah," Brett says looking up from her belly.

"Please don't get angry, but I think I still owe you an apology." Santana softly says ducking her head.

"Baby?" Brett whispers lifting her head.

"I'm sorry that I hurt you. I was jealous and confused about my feelings for you and apparently these damn hormones got the best of me for a few moments earlier. I know it's no excuse, but-"

"Sanny, I forgive you and I'm sorry for blowing up." Brett whispers kissing her forehead.

Santana takes a deep breath and decides to tell him something she never thought she'd ever tell another soul.

"My high school boyfriend senior year hit me one night about six months into our relationship when I was talking to another guy when he was drunk, but then apologized and I forgave him. That was until he tried it again and I left him." Santana quietly says shaking a little scared of what Brett will think.

"What!?" Brett shouts jumping up.

Santana whimpers, curling into herself scared that he's mad at her for telling him.

"Baby it's okay." Brett softly says sitting back down and pulling Santana into his lap. "I promise you that no matter what I will never lay a hand on you. No matter how upset I get I'll never hurt you or our child and I'll spend the rest of my life proving this to you."

Santana nods against his chest, but doesn't move. She's beyond relieved that he's not angry at her and is holding her like the most precious thing in the world. His arms make her feel safe; she wonders why she ever doubted him.

"I know you're nothing like the guys I used to sleep with." Santana mumbles into his chest glad that she's now through with guys like Puck who only want to be with her to have sex.

Brett just holds her tightly to his chest never wanting to let her go. He can't believe still that he's going to have a child with this amazing woman. Though if he ever sees the guy that hit her he'll kill him. No one hurts his woman and lives to talk about it. He's never felt this kind of anger towards another human being before, but just the thought of someone hitting Santana it burns his heart.

"I'm still so sorry Brett and I hope that you can find it in your heart to take me back and forgive me." Santana says lifting her head up.

"San, I can forgive you if you can forgive me, I still love you, but we need a little time so we can work on getting back to a loving relationship again." Brett says sighing.

"I can accept that." Santana says trying to get up.

"No you don't," Brett says not letting her get up. "We're going to get you dry clothes."

"Brett you can't just…" Santana trails off when Brett picks her up and carries her to his room.

"I'm not letting you go out in that storm alone. Plus I doubt you'll be heading back to your place." Brett says handing her one of his t-shirts and boxers.

"My dad called you didn't he?" Santana asks removing her shirt.

"No, but I know that you drive everywhere so something must have happened at your place to make you leave in such a hurry that you'd forget your keys." Brett softly says helping her change before leading to his bed. "You can sleep in my bed; I'll stay in the guestroom."

Santana nods knowing it's pointless to argue with Brett especially when she's really enjoying begin encompassed by his scent. She snuggles into his baggy clothes trying to image what it will be like when she's showing.

"I hope one day you'll be able to forgive me." Santana whispers snuggling in his bedding.

"Trust me I have even if it still stings." Brett whispers kissing her forehead before going into the guestroom.

Brett stares at the ceiling thinking of the fact that in under nine months he'll be a father. That thought alone scares him. Now that a baby's involved he knows that he really has to sort everything out with Santana even more than before. Everything that had happened today is overwhelming, but one thing is clear to him now that he wants to spend the rest of his life with Santana and their child.

Flashback

"Eric I'm not sure we should go to the party." Santana says knowing that when her boyfriend gets drunk he starts acting like a jerk.

"We're going. I'm not dating you so we can just hang out at home." Eric growls grabbing her arm and dragging her to the truck.

Santana closes her eyes and takes a deep breath putting on a fake smile knowing Eric will be pissed if she doesn't appear happy.

"I don't want you to drink that much as I plan on getting plastered and someone needs to drive my baby home." Eric says as he parks across the street from the party house patting the steering wheel.

"Okay," Santana softly says.

"Good now come on babe." Eric says getting out and waiting impatiently for Santana.

They've been there for an hour and Eric is beyond drunk and Santana is talking to one of her friends and her boyfriend. Eric sees this and starts getting really pissed off. He hates when Santana talks to other men, she's always flirts with guys just to piss him off.

"We're leaving," Eric growls grabbing Santana's arm and dragging her out back.

"Eric please," Santana sobs as he's squeezing her arm hard.

"You deserve this slut." Eric snarls slapping her hard.

"Please," Santana begs as Eric starts to get really pissed and hits her.

After hitting her Eric seems to realize that what he is doing is wrong and he drops to his knees in front of her.

"I'm sorry baby; I'll never do it again." Eric softly says brushing hair out of her face.

End Flashback

"NO ERIC!" Santana shouts shooting up and looking wildly around.

When she doesn't see anyone she lays back down remembering exactly where she is now.

"It's okay Santana he's not here, Brett's here and wouldn't let anything happen to you." she tells herself trying to calm down, but it's not working.

All she can think of is how badly it hurt after he hit her and what she had to do to cover it up. Also the fact that she can't believe that she actually forgave him. She's so scared that she just needs somewhere safe. So she gets up and quietly walks down the hall to the guestroom. Standing in the doorway she wishes she can climb into bed with Brett.

"What's wrong San?" Brett groggily asks turning over.

"I….I…"

Santana sounds so distraught that Brett doesn't have the heart to send her away as she looks scared.

"Come in," Brett says opening the blankets.

It takes less than one second for Santana to dive in, snuggling into his chest. She's never felt safer than she does in Brett's arms.

"What scared you?" Brett asks wrapping his arms around her waist.

"I had a nightmare." Santana whispers hiding her face in his chest.

"What about?" Brett softly asks lightly kissing her lips.

"It's…I can't…please." Santana says clinging tightly to his arm.

"Shh baby it's okay I'm here." Brett whispers kissing the top of her head.

"I just need you to hold me, to feel safe." Santana whispers looking at a clock to see it's five.

"It's a good thing we don't have to go to work tomorrow." Brett says when he sees her looking at the clock.

Santana smiles tucking her head under his chin kissing his neck lightly before quickly falling asleep. Brett tightens his grip around her waist. He doesn't know what sacred her so much, but he'll be damned if he lets anything happen to her.

"I promise to never let anything happen to either of you." Brett whispers kissing her forehead.

I know that many of you think that Brett should be pissed and not forgive her right away, but one that's just not Brett he's always had a soft spot for her and two I hate writing angst/long make up stuff so whenever I have any kind of drama like this I tend to fix it in one or two chapters. Another reason Brett forgives her is that she's finally opening up to him about parts of her life no one else knows about. And then there's also the fact that pregnancy hormones can make weird shit happen like Santana's moments of doubting his love for her.

On the Eric front I thought I'd get ahead of any questions by explaining why I suddenly just dropped him in this story. I brought Eric in to show that Santana's taste in men hasn't always been good and to show why her father is worried about her (though he's still a bit of an ass and needs to stop meddling in her life or will he?) don't worry he won't be in the story really just like Puck and Sam he's just a catalyst to bring Brett and Santana closer together. Also I thought it would be nice to see Brett's protective side a bit more.
