Ok, so here's another chapter. I might have been wrong about it being chapter 11 having a bunch of stuff I added, it might be chapter 12. I am going to try to get it up as soon as possible. Chapter 11 might end up being a short chapter by itself so I might add some if not all the added parts to that chapter but I don't know yet. We will see, for now enjoy!
Disclaimer: I do not own How to Train Your Dragon.
EXT. WOODS/COVE - SUNSET
BEGIN MUSIC MONTAGE
INT. BLACKSMITH STALL - HICCUP'S CLOSET - CONTINUOUS
Hiccup cuts and stitches leather, draws and shapes steel. He works by candlelight. An overhead shot reveals what he's building: a harness, complete with handles and foot pedals. For just a moment, his tunic slips from his shoulder revealing a bleeding scratch, signifying a meeting with Tiandra.
The Vikings as a whole mutter, wondering how often he had seen the daemoness.
EXT. COVE - DAY
Hiccup appears before Toothless, holding the new prosthetic. Toothless runs off as Hiccup chases him down.
HICCUP
Hey!
Everyone laughs biter sweetly at the image from the past. Happy Hiccup had found happiness, but knowing it wouldn't last.
EXT. COVE - DAY
Toothless and Hiccup are zooming over the ocean. The tail breaks free sending Hiccup flying.
HICCUP
Yeah! Whoa!
He falls straight into the ocean, sinking deeply. The sprites surge into his body, giving his arms and legs more power to propel him to the surface quickly. As he surfaces, he see's Toothless drip like a rock into the ocean not far from him. When the dragon breaks the surface the two can't help but grin at each other as they begin to race each other to a short cliff they can climb up.
INT. BLAKCSMITH STALL - NIGHT
Hiccup adjusts the harness and uses a metal clamp to affix himself to Toothless' saddle. He turns to put a tool away and winces. He lifts his shirt to reveal bloody bandages along with newly formed bruses. He grits his teeth and growls, "Damn Lorel…"
Everyone looks around, trying to find the daemon among their midst, but to no avail.
"He's not here, at least in that form. Neither is Tiandra." Zyenna growls over the mic.
EXT. SKY/FIELD - DAWN
Hiccup and Toothless zip through the air - his rudimentary harness and tail controls are working, barely. They crash-land in an open field. The sprites wrap themselves around his body, helping him to land unsteadily on his feet. Hiccup recovers to find Toothless still rolling around in the tall grass. Hiccup discovers that it's a patch of 'dragon-nip.' Toothless writhes on his back, tongue wagging, in complete bliss. Hiccup plucks some up in his hand, holding it in his hand.
EXT. TRAINING GROUNDS - MORNING
Hiccup pulls out the 'dragon-nip' and presses it up to the Gronkle's nose. It immediately stops struggling and goes weak in the knees. Hiccup drops the handful of dragon-nip to the ground. The Gronkle goes down with it, whimpering and blissful. From Gobber and the recruits' point of view, Hiccup is controlling the Gronkle with no more than a limp arm. The sprites see what Hiccup is doing and seem to laugh at the other teens confusion.
Astrid can't help but grin at seeing how Hiccup had tricked them. She had long gotten over feeling jealous, 'Besides… why be jealous of a dead man…' Her traitorous thoughts remind her.
EXT. WOODS - AFTERNOON
The recruits walk home together, surrounding Hiccup and bombarding him with questions. At this point we see Hiccups sprites are acting strange. Instead of flickering between the images of a bat, rat, wolf, and common dragon, we see a new form… that of a Night Fury, interlaced in there every now and again.
Most of the Vikings don't notice the inclusion of the new image, except for Stoick and Gobber who share a glance, concerned and curious.
FISHLEGS
Hey Hiccup, I've never seen a Gronkle to that before.
TUFFNUT
How'd you do that?
RUFFNUT
It was really cool.
He squirms and invents an excuse.
HICCUP
I left my axe back in the ring.
He turns and hurries back. The sprites seem to shake their heads at the teens stupidity.
"Wait a sheep picking second… he never had his ax that day!" Snotlout calls out, irritated at the sprites laughing at him, for an instant he sees something white out of the corner of his eye, but once he turns to see it, the thing is gone, leaving him confused.
HICCUP (CONT'D)
You guys go on ahead and I'll catch up with you.
Astrid watches, suspicious.
EXT. COVE - LATER
Hiccup rubs Toothless behind the ear, causing him to relax and fall over. The dragon begins to purr in his sleep, while Hiccup looks at his hands in amazement and glee.
EXT. TRAINING GROUNDS - LATER
An angry Deadly Nadder approaches Hiccup. Just as Astrid moves in to strike, Hiccup performs his special rubbing technique, which sends the Nadder down. Astrid and the other kids look on from the sideline in amazement.
INT. MEADE HALL - CONTINUOUS
Hiccup sits down at a table to eat. The other recruits notice him and move over to his table to talk to him – leaving Astrid alone.
FISHLEGS
Hey Hiccup!
SNOTLOUT
What was that? Some kind of trick? What did you do?
Snotlout smacks Hiccup on the back, making his face go pale. No one seems to notice as he fights to keep his breath under control. In the background we see Lorel sitting at a table with several Vikings who have their backs turned, giving Hiccup a look that screams a threat.
TUFFNUT
Hiccup, you're totally going to come in first, there's no question.
EXT. COVE - LATER
Hiccup is using his hammer to create a patch of light on the ground. Toothless claws and chases the light patch like a cat chasing a laser pointer.
Everyone laughs at the "offspring of lightning and death itself" acting so cute. They were coming to realize how Hiccup and Toothless were so close.
EXT. TRAINING GROUNDS - DAY
A beam lifts from the door of another dragon pen.
GOBBER
Meet the Terrible Terror.
A tiny, pint-sized dragon steps out and moves toward the recruits.
All the teens groaned, as well as some of the adults.
"I really don't understand why these guys are seen as the most annoying dragon… they're really quite cute." Zyenna says.
TUFFNUT
Ha. It's like the size of my-
Tuffnut is taken down in a blur.
TUFFNUT (CONT'D)
Get it off! Get it off! Oh! I'm hurt, I am very much hurt!
Hiccup stops the Terrible Terror with the same light-patch trick he used earlier with Toothless. The tiny dragon retreats back to its cage. The teens approach him yet again as Astrid looks on with suspicion.
TUFFNUT (CONT'D) (TO ASTRID)
Wow, he's better than you ever were.
"Well, in the ways of dragons yes…but you were always the be better fighter." Tuffnut corrects her past self.
CUT TO: EXT. FOREST - MOMENTS LATER
Astrid furiously hurls her axe at a nearby tree. She notices Hiccup walking by in the distance, carrying one of his trademark harnesses. She quickly tries to follow, but he loses her in the woods. She huffs, frustrated.
EXT. COVE - LATER
Hiccup straps a newly designed harness onto Toothless. With Toothless tied to a nearby post with a rope. Hiccup rides him in the air - while stationary. Toothless looks like a giant kite tied to a tree stump. This harness seems to work. Spiraling around both dragon and rider the sprites look like they are… playing. In the trees behind him we see two glowing black eyes as a faint outline of Tiandra's face is seen. She puts one hand to the ground sending out a black tentacle that make the rope suddenly weak.
EXT. SKY - MOMENTS LATER
The rope breaks and the pair crash into a tree. Tiandra disappears with a soft, cruel laugh.
HICCUP
Oh, great.
EXT. BERK - NIGHT
The streets are empty save for a lone Viking who crosses Hiccup's path. The man's sprite sees Hiccup in advance and seems to fly into the man, making his step jerk for just a moment.
VIKING
Hiccup.
The Viking who had been on screen groans to himself for being so open to a possession.
Hiccup nods, trying to look casual. Once the coast is clear, he covertly steers Toothless into the Blacksmith's stall. Toothless presses himself inside, rooting through stuff and making a racket. Astrid, walking nearby, is alerted.
ASTRID (O.S.)
Hiccup?
Hiccup freezes. Then frantically tries to pry the ring off the saddle hook. The sprites wrap around his arms to help, making it bend some, but not enough before Astrid is almost right outside.
ASTRID (CONT'D)
Are you in there?
On Astrid walking along the outside of the Blacksmith's. Hiccup jumps out the window and closes the shutters behind him. Hiccup's harness line is stretched through the window, still attached to Toothless' saddle.
HICCUP
Astrid. Hey! Hi Astrid. Hi Astrid. Hi Astrid.
"Oh son…" Stoick says, his eyes tearing up but a laugh can't help but escape through his lips at his sons awkwardness…
ASTRID
I normally don't care what people do, but you're acting weird. Well, weirder.
Toothless spots a nearby sheep and makes a move toward it. As a result, Hiccup is suddenly pulled tight against the window shutters. He strikes a pose to compensate... then gets pulled through the shutters. They snap back in Astrid's face. Astrid reopens them and finds nothing but an empty stall. In the distance, Toothless and Hiccup slip off unseen.
IN THE COVE
Hiccup and Toothless land and Hiccup manages to finish prying the hook off. Then out of nowhere the two are grabbed by darkness. Toothless roars in panic as Hiccup is slammed into the side of the cove, making his cry out.
"You're late young Viking… I decided to come find you…" Tiandra seems to melt out of the darkness, picking Hiccup up by the throat. She rips his shirt off of him, exposing a smattering of seeping wounds. The teen's chest is mostly red, from puckered barely healed wounds.
Stoick growls seeing his son's condition.
"You've been taming a dragon, how… quant…" She drops him, only for her tentacles to pick him up by the wrists and drag him behind her in the dirt. She seems to glide across the earth looking down at the Night Fury in interest. Toothless growls at her as she runs a hand down his spine, using her claws to make sparks against his scales.
"Please mistress… I'll do anything… just… leave him be…" Hiccup begs, repositioning himself until he is kneeling with his head on his bound hands. Tiandra looks at him in interest.
"No…" Gobber sucks in a breath, wishing his dead apprentice had used different words.
"Anything?" She asks simply, gliding over to him and lifting his face with her hand.
"Yes…" He whispers, his eyes pleading. The tendrils in his body break out of his skin and wrap around the woman arm, making her sigh in pleasure. A light comes to her eye, making Hiccup shiver.
"I am a daemoness young viking. Unlike my brothers I feed on human emotions, their darkest desires. I'm sure you have figured this out." She says, beginning to walk around him slowly, Hiccup just nodes his head, dread and fear fighting across his face.
"I am in need of lust… my young viking…" She whispers into his ear, a long tongue slinking out of her mouth to lick his face, leaving a trail of blood stained saliva.
All the Vikings shudder in disgust.
"I'll let you go for now, my darkness has informed me of what you have planned and I will let you try this… death defying stunt… but once you are done you are to come to me on the next new moon and help me satisfy my… craving…" She whispers, her hands roaming his chest from behind.
"Please… anything else…" He whispers, fearing he won't survive such an encounter. Having seen what she had done to a daemon that she had captured a few years ago, her need for lust driving her to madness and remembering tales of humans being turned to daemons from such acts.
"Do you not care for this dragon? I could always just… kill it…" She says coldly, cutting into his flesh with her nails. Hiccup hangs his head in defeat, nodding weakly. Tiandra withdraws her tentacles from him as the tentacles in his body recede, pulling him up by the hair.
"Then I'll see you soon… lover…" She whispers, crushing her lips against his in a dominating kiss. With that her and her darkness disappear, leaving a panting dragon and rider behind. Hiccup lands on his hands and knees, puking at the taste of death in his warbles in worry as he comes to his rider's side, liking at the blood still leaking from his wounds. Hiccup grabs his friend around the neck and begins to sob.
"I'm going to die bud… I… I wont survive her…." The dragon just croons, wrapping a wing around his rider. The full moon in the sky shining down on them, almost as if in sadness.
Silence meets this statement, tears pour out of every eye.
EXT. DOCKS - DAWN
A lone, battered ship is pulled into a slip, overloaded with equally battered-looking men. They disembark to a crowd of onlookers, looking like a team of hometown heroes who just had their butts kicked. Gobber hobbles through the mumbling crowd to find Stoick - last to disembark and glowering with battered pride.
VIKING
Where are the other ships?
SPITELOUT
You don't want to know.
Stoick lumbers past Gobber, leaving him staring at the trashed ship.
GOBBER
Well, I trust you found the nest at least?
STOICK
Not even close.
GOBBER
Ah. Excellent.
Gobber follows Stoick up the ramp and snags his duffle bag with his hook appendage, sharing the burden.
STOICK
I hope you had a little more success than me.
GOBBER
Well, if by success, you mean that your parenting troubles are over with, then... yes.
Stoick stops. What does that mean? A group of merry villagers rush past.
VIKING #1
Congratulations Stoick! Everyone is so relieved.
VIKING #2
Out with the old and in with the new, right?!
VIKING #3
No one will miss that old nuisance!
VIKING #4
The village is throwing a party to celebrate!
Stoick is stunned, overwhelmed by the insensitivity. He turns to Gobber.
Each of the afor mentioned Vikings blush in embarrassment at how their words had sounded.
STOICK
He's... gone?
GOBBER
Yeah...most afternoons. But who can blame him? I mean the life of a celebrity is very rough. He can barely walk through the village without being swarmed by his new fans.
Stoick is doubly confused.
STOICK
Hiccup?
GOBBER (BEAMING)
Who would've thought, eh? He has this...way with the beasts.
Ok, I think I'm going to end it here. I know, I'm horrible, but I enjoy every minute of it. I had to do it… the muse in my head made me.
Ladipretender: I'm glad I didn't disappoint. And I hope I continue to spark your interest in this chapter. Your gonna flip over the next chapter, I can feel it.
a random person: They can…but they can't, that's all I'm going to say for now. You had a great idea, I'm only giving credit where credit is due.
Well, I hope everyone else enjoyed and PLEASE! REVIEW!
Thanks for reading,
Zyenna
