Chapter Nine: The Rising Knights
The sight was horrific to them all. The sight of houses and tress burning down. Upon a closer look, they could see soldiers shooting some kind of beam at the citizens and they would just disappear with a red light. Tifa could only think that somewhere her daughter was still out there in danger. Medaka on the other hand felt anger seethe through her body.
"Why? Why is she attacking one of the alliances?" She decided to answer that question later. "No matter. The number one priority right now is to save the citizens. Myouga, Tohka, Kuro, Asuna, Leafa I entrust you to save as many as you can."
"And what should we do?" Raidy asked.
"You can help out the Rising Knights in saving as many as you can and drive back Rias' forces."
For the first time Jo smiled. "Finally some action."
"Please." Tifa spoke up. "While you're down there, please look for my daughter Sena. She's somewhere down there and I'm worried about her."
"What does she look like?" Sora asked.
"She is blonde like me and has a butterfly pin on the left side of her head."
The younger girl smiled. "Leave that to me! I'll find her."
"Count me in." IF said.
"I'll help as well." Kan'u added.
Erza nodded. "It seems we have our objectives. Now lets go!"
Everyone jumped off into the fire and prepared their fight. All except Sora. "Uh I think I'll take the other way." She took off running into the other direction.
A guard passed her and stopped in front of the two queens. "Lady Tifa, Lady Medaka, we must secure you to safety."
The blonde queen nodded. "Understood."
Medaka took another look at the scene. She hoped that this time they can stop them. If not, then Alfnia will fall under Rias' rule. "Let us go."
Soon as the Knights and warriors landed, they looked at their opponents. The army wore black metal suits of armor while their cleavage was exposed. Their weapons consisted of large broadswords and spiked shields. Around their wrists was a strange bracelet that shot out that strange beam that teleported them to who knows where.
"Where's Sora?" Erza asked the group.
"Guess she didn't want jump down." The Gunslinger replied.
"Then she'll have to catch up with us later. Right now we have to-" Before the redhead had a chance to give orders, she saw the Rising Knights fly over them and into the sea of soldiers.
"By the way, what happened to Saeko?" Kuro asked.
"She's somewhere in this mess but I'm sure she's fine." Leafa answered.
"Maybe she's getting a bite eat?" Tohka suggested.
All of them landed in the battlefield with their weapons pulled out. "No matter, we'll find her sooner or later. Right now we have to stop them for take any more innocents." Asuna commanded. All the Knights went their separate ways battled Rias' soldiers.
Myouga suddenly gained speed and disappeared. The black knights looked around but couldn't find her. Next thing they know, several giant metal balls hit them from above. Dust covered the area with a few also hit from the shock wave of the attack. The golden eyed girl leered at her foes. "15676821357842469" (I will kill you all.) She rushed into more of the black knights and swung her arms around hard. The ball and chain attached to her arms followed. Her attack hit multiple targets and sent them flying in different directions. She was so focused on her end, Myouga failed to notice a surprise attack from behind.
That was foiled by an attack made of light. Myouga looked up to see Tohka. The other girl smiled and swung her sword that was more than twice her size. Another beam of light came from the sword and hit a large quantity of the black knights. She descended from the air and slammed her sword to the ground. Another powerful shockwave emitted from the attack and sent several of her enemy flying back. The purple haired girl picked up her sword and swung it again.
In another part of the battlefield, rows of the enemy were sent flying. Asuna drew her rapier and sent a fast flurry of attacks to her enemies. The attacks were so fast that the Rias' soldiers couldn't see them. Her speed equaled her attacks and more were being defeated by the second. She was impressed that no matter how many she defeated, more would come. Several of them tried to attack Asuna from behind but where attacked by multiple beams of light. She looked around to see her comrade Leafa behind her.
The blond girl smiled at her comrade and chanted a spell. Multiple symbols began to circle around her and then fired at the enemy. She drew her sword and proceeded to attack the remaining enemies that survived her first attack. Multiple sweeps were made but it felt like no matter how much she put down, more would their place. Leafa ended up back to back against Asuna. The two girls looked at each other and smiled. The two knights leaped into the fray again to take down Rias' forces as much as they can. They both made sure one would not fall. Suddenly they felt the ground tremble beneath them. The Knights saw many of the enemy flew up the air. They knew that it was Kuro.
Kuro may be small but she made it up for incredible speed and power she possessed. Red emblems glowed red in her right hand. She closed her eyes and red energy began to circle her. Once the younger girl opened them, she charged straight at the enemy. Kuro was a bit different from the rest of the knights as she only fought with her fists. She struck the first enemy she saw and a powerful force was added behind it. The foe was sent back flying and hit multiple enemies as well. Kuro's next move was jumping up high into the air. Red energy began to collect into her right hand. "Exceed Mega Exe!" She dropped down and slammed her fist into the ground. The resulting attack was powerful enough to take down anyone who was unfortunate enough to be beneath that attack. Anyone else who was around was swept away by the shockwave alone.
From afar, the heroines were impressed the power of the Rising Knights. They were strong but they were focusing on one part of the invasion force and whether they needed it or not, they needed help. Erza stepped up. "Here's what we'll do. The rest of you will help any of the civilians to get them to safety. If any of the enemy tries to stop you, defeat them at any costs."
"Who died and made you leader?" Jo spoke up.
"Is there a problem?" The older redhead asked in a serious tone.
Jo saw the anger in her companion's eyes and decided not to say anything. The rest thought so as well. IF and Sora knew that fact the first time they met Erza. "What about you? What are you going to do?" Kan'u asked.
Erza turned around and a bright flash of light enveloped her. When the light died down she was wearing a new set of armor. She wore silver armor and a large skirt with what it seemed to look like large metal wings. "I will do away the enemy here."
"That's pretty cool. How did she change quickly?" The gunslinger thought.
"If you don't mind I would like to help out too." Raidy stepped up beside Erza.
Erza nodded. "That will be fine. Now the rest of you help out the kingdom and if you happen to spot Sora, tell her to save the civilians!"
"I'll do that." IF volunteered.
The wizard smiled. "Good now go!" The rest of them went off in separate directions. Erza didn't waste time and flew up into the air. "Now dance my swords!" Swords suddenly appeared around her in a circular fashion. "Circle Sword!" the swords scattered in different directions and hit their targets with great force. Erza descended rapidly and gripped her swords. She swung them overhead at the enemy. The enemy tried to attack her at once but she summoned multiple swords again and sent to toward her foes. "Is that all? If you wish to challenge me then step up!" It seemed that everyone wanted to take her down. Erza smiled and requiped again. This time she was wearing black armor with silver crosses in several places and with great large wings. She charged at the enemy and swung her sword. A great deal of them was swept away easily. Erza rushes past several more and slashed them with cross patterns.
Suddenly a large flash of lighting appeared out of nowhere. Erza flew up to see what happened and saw that the lightning was coming from Raidy. The other redhead was charging up for her attack. When she was done, she swung her sword downward. "Lightning Slash!" A large lightning bolt appeared and hit a large portion of the enemy. Raidy didn't waste any time and ran into the battlefield.
Erza smiled at the other redhead warrior. "Impressive. Maybe we can combine lightning magic together." With that said, she descended once again to fight off the enemy.
B
Meanwhile back at the castle, Sora was running downstairs to catch up with the others. She still can't believe that the others jumped down from that height. She had no choice but to take the other way down. Once she made it to the foyer, she was shocked to see the elf girl she met from earlier. "Nowa!" Sora ran up to the younger elf girl and picked her up in her arms. Nowa was wounded from it looked like a fight. Her injuries were consisted to be what it looked like from a whip.
Nowa slightly opened her eyes. "Hey Sora." The young elf girl said in a pained voice.
"Nowa what happened? Who did this to you?" The young elf girl grunted in pain from her injuries. She was badly hurt. Sora needed to take her friend to safety but that was interrupted by the sound of footsteps walking toward her.
"I thought she ran here. Little bitch should know better." Sora saw another girl enter the foyer. She looked the same age as her, maybe a year younger but she could tell that this girl wasn't right.
"Who are you?" Sora demanded.
The other girl laughed. "Why should I tell you? In another minute, the both you will be dead."
