Kagome was the first to wake up, seeing her mate to be in her arms, just felt right to her. She purred, when his tail wrapped around her body, bringing her closer to his chest. She curled her lip, before pressing her lips against his lips. Hearing a small growl, Kagome broke the kiss seeing those amber orbs she grown to love and adore.

"This Sesshomaru could get use to this." he admitted to himself, when he saw her smile at him.

"You should be." she poke his nose with her clawed finger. Sesshomaru just stared at her, her expression was full of life, no regret whatsoever. It made him happy non of the less, but they was a small portion of her that was unknown to him. She kept it hidden well for the lord not to notice, still watching her. Removing herself off of him, he saw she was free of burden. "Something came to me, Sesshomaru." she spoke, slipping her kimono on. The blues and whites surrounding herself. She rubbed her shoulders, before brushing her fingers through her long hair. Sesshomaru leaned himself up, grabbing his haori on, slipping one arm than the next.

"Hn." Even though she was going to be with him forever, he was still going to give her that.

"No one can break through my barrier and yet somehow you got in. How did you do it?" she wondered looking at him. Sesshomaru knew the barrier was up, he could walk across it without hurting him, yet a miko's barrier would have been tricky, if not what he had for her. Sesshomaru reached into his sleeve of the haori, pulling it out, he opened his clawed hand. Kagome widen her eyes, staring down at the object her had in his hand.

"My mother's bracelet…" she didn't realize it was off her wrist when she was fighting her father's guards. Even with Sesshomaru here with her, that was probably why he was able to come in here. Sesshomaru took her wrist with his free hand, placing it around her wrist, it dangled a little. Kagome smiled at him, but she took it off of her and grabbed his wrist.

"Wasn't this what you wanted?" he was confused, being something that very much dear to her was giving it to him. Letting the bracelet fall against his skin, Sesshomaru admire it, yet never show emotion. He was never into jewelry like the other lords, but this one he can accept.

"I want you to hold it for me. Something to remember me."

"You aren't coming, are you?" he was sadden a bit, he talked about it with her that he would protect her, fight for her, claim her as his and only his. Kagome shook her head, before explaining herself.

"I am. In this form, cause I know you will be there to protect me, but you have my heart and now you have this." lifting his wrist. She touch the center of the gem, blues and greens began swirling around. Sesshomaru didn't feel a thing, when it died down, Kagome didn't know what she did. She wrapped her arms around his neck, Sesshomaru held on to her when standing up.

"Demoness or human, you are beautiful, princess." Kagome couldn't help, but blush as his words echo in her mind. He set her down, causing her to remove her protected barrier. She began walking out of her hut, before seeing her lord already in front of her. Sesshomaru reached his hand out and caressed her cheek, Kagome placed her hand onto his, making him look deeply into her eyes. Kagome always knew since they were together now, her heat comes in every crescent moon. Last night, she wanted him inside of her, rocking her body with his, picturing it made her melt a little inside, yet staring into his eyes. She sense his beast wanting to come out and play while his master held back.

"Sesshomaru…"

"Something wrong."

"My heat…" he knew she was going to talk about this.

"Like I said, I would wait for you. Its dishonorable to mate before the ceremony. You know that."

"What about yours? My beast can hear him howling and wanting to take me when I was in heat. Last night, I saw how you were so in control of your beast, I..I.." he words were lost when he lean in and kissed her softly and gently on the lips. Wrapping his tail around her, pulling her close to his body. She felt safe and warm once more. Breaking the kiss, Sesshomaru parted his lips.

"Mine only comes once a year. I'm assuming you were never taught that?" she shook her head.

"I do, but.." she felt embarrassed even talking about this in front of him. To make it easy for her, he spoke.

"Spring when the moon if full…that's when my heat comes." That was next year, so she would have a change with him after all. Not too soon and not early either. "You don't have to be afraid, I assume that's what you wanted?" she nodded, her face full of red, Sesshomaru grinned at her. With amusement they gotten, Sesshomaru wrapped his arms around her, before bringing his small cloud underneath his feet. Kagome was never really afraid of heights, she loved being in the air, looking down at all the different things for her to see. Its been awhile for her, seeing her lord in his arms. Sesshomaru took off to the west, he smelt another scent, yet he couldn't figure it out. It didn't seem to matter when he let his demonic aura spread out, no demon would attack him. He was feared by all, unlike her and Inuyasha,

"Inuyasha…" he was worried for the pup, his eyes bleed red for a minute. Kagome noticed causing her own beast to do the same. She talked to his beast,

"Pup?"

"Yes, Pup." Sesshomaru's eyes went back to amber and Kagome did the same.

"I'm sure he is fine, who's watching him?"

"Jaken." Kagome frown a little at him. Seeing the palace not far from them, Sesshomaru quickened his speed, landing gracefully on the ground. Kagome jumped out of his arms, walking side by side with the lord. Once the doors opened, screaming was all they heard,

"GET BACK HERE YOU LITTLE HALF BREED!"

"I'M TELLING ON YOU, BIG BROTHER WOULD HAVE YOUR HEAD ON A STICK!"

"WHY YOU.." Sesshomaru smelt fear in the pups aura, hearing a smack caused his beast to let loose. Kagome ran after him, seeing Jaken pinned to the floor and Inuyasha rubbing his poor little head. She ran to her pup, cradling him in her arms, Inuyasha was happy to see his mother, yet kind of felt bad about the imp being killed.

"Sesshomaru, no." Inuyasha spoke up, his eyes trailed back to the pup. Jaken was begging for forgiveness, he pressed his foot harder on the imp's neck as he couldn't seem to breath.

"Sesshomaru, you cant kill him yet, unless we hear what happened." rubbing the pups head. Sesshomaru glared down at the imp, removing himself. Jaken looked at the demoness before him, she resembles the miko, yet something came to mind.

"Princess Kagome of the East!?" Kagome just stare at the imp, finding it intrigued that he knew who she was in demon form.

"Never mine about that Jaken. Answer me what happen or else I will kill you." his jaw snapped at him, causing the imp to bow repeatedly.

"Inuyasha, skip a few lessons. I was only telling him to get back to his lessons, but he insisted on going to your room and-"

"WHAT!" hearing that from the lord, Kagome was holding the pup tightly in her arms.

"Big Brother, something called me to the sword in your room…" he whimpered a bit, hoping his brother wasn't going to be mad at him. Sesshomaru eyes went back to his amber ones, looking down at the pup.

"Tenseiga?" he spoke, Inuyasha didn't know what that means.

"Is that the swords name, big brother?" he nodded to him.

"Pup, do not skip lessons."

"but the swo-"

"I will deal with it later, Kagome?" she knew what he meant. She picked up the pup and walking down to his lessons. Sesshomaru watched her, making a turn he looked down at the imp.

"Never hit the pup or ever call him half breed."

"You care, mi lord?" Sesshomaru didn't say a word to the imp, causing him to walk in the same direction as the demoness. "Might I ask mi lord, but why is the princess of the east with you?"

"She is my mate to be."

"But everyone thought she was dead-"

"No, the miko you saw before was the same person. You will address her like you do with me, do I make myself clear?" glaring down at the imp, Jaken bowed to him.

"As you wish."

"One more thing, Jaken." Jaken was scared what else could the lord want.

"If you fail on letting the pup slip through your fingers again. I wont hesitate to kill you, you should be grateful that Kagome spared your life. Keep it that way." he continue walking down the hall, causing the imp to placed his hand over his heartbeat, it went so fast his life was spared. He knew his lord wouldn't kill him, but it still gives him the shakes and shivers when it happens. Walking the opposite direction from his lord, he began thinking of what the lord said to him.

"Sesshomaru, what did the pup mean that the sword was calling to him?" Sesshomaru told her to follow him, reaching his room. Opening the door and shutting it behind him, Kagome looked at his wall, seeing the sword that appears to never leave. Yet she remember him having it on him when they first met. Sesshomaru began walking up to the wall, taking the sword off of it and placing it on his side. Feeling its barrier around him, showed how much the sword missed its master.

"Its been passed down by my father. Its useless to me.." in truth he wanted his fathers other sword. The Tessaiga. Kagome looked at it, it was really pretty to her, but the thought came to her mind when he said it was useless.

"I'm sure it isn't-"

"No it is, it doesn't kill the living." Kagome saw his anger and frustration on mentioning about his father, but the idea of the sword, saying it was useless. His father seem like a nice guys when she met him, but maybe there was something he wasn't telling her, better yet would he tell her. She placed her hand on his sword, she felt something as she pulled her hand away from it. "Only this was from what my father did. A riddle per say," he given up on finding the sword, but now that the pup said it was calling to him. Sesshomaru felt it was time to return to finding his father's heirloom.

"What was it, maybe I can help?" she was determine to help her mate to be on finding the sword. Sesshomaru didn't seem to mind when he parted his lips, speaking,

"Seeing yet never seen, protected yet never known to his protector." he never could figure that out.

"Protected yet never known…" a riddle like this, she was even stump. Before they knew it, a little voice was heard from the other side of the door. Opening it up, Kagome smiled down at her pup.

"Pup. Come." the lord spoke, before his little brother rushed over to him. The pups eyes grew big when the sword was speaking to him again.

"Its talking to me, big brother." he spoke, finding the lord to find this amusing and yet unknown.

"What's it saying, Inuyasha?" Kagome asked, patting his head making him giggle.

"Something about my right eye, that.." hearing it carefully. Sesshomaru looked straight at his right eye, he could see the tiny pearl imbedded into his eye.

"Its there, father…" he paused himself when picking up the pup. "This will hurt, but I am not trying to hurt you." Inuyasha wanted to help his brother out, he nodded, holding onto him tightly. Kagome watched as she sensed his powers being in used. Using the stream of energy to his right eye, he pulled out the pearl that was in his little brother. Inuyasha whimpered in pain, clinging to his brother. Kagome tried not to use her powers on her mate to be, but this was something Sesshomaru needed and wanted. With the pearl being out, he calmed the pup rubbing his hand while holding the pearl in his hand.

"Inuyasha?" she asked, when he looked at her. She saw the pupil in his eye was no longer there, but he seemed to be able to see. Setting the pup down, Sesshomaru glanced at the black pearl before him.

"Never would I thought, father would hid his grave in your right eye." he paused himself. "Jaken." within minutes, Jaken came in eyeing his lord and seeing he was still the cold hearted demon before him.

"Mi, lord is that-"

"It seems so Jaken." Taking the staff of two heads. Kagome picked up the pup, holding him close to her chest. Dropping the black pearl on the floor, he stabbed the pearl opening a portal to his fathers grave. Seeing it swirling it around and around, Sesshomaru grinned. "Jaken you stay here." he walked into the portal never seeing him from that spot. Kagome felt something off and jumped into the portal after him. When closing, Jaken didn't even know what to say, he stayed by his lords room, waiting for his return.

Together they landed, bones were scattered everywhere, Inuyasha didn't seem to like this place, but Kagome felt something off when being inside the great dog demon skeleton. Sesshomaru found what he was looking for, she watched him walk up to the sword that he waited so long to find.

"Father.." Inuyasha spoke, looking directly at the sword. Before Sesshomaru could grabbed the sword, everything started shaking. He stopped himself, that's when everything stopped shaking. Kagome could have sworn she heard her pup say something. "I..see…him…" he was scared, Kagome looked at her direction, yet didn't see anything.

"Sesshomaru!" Inuyasha jumped out of his mothers arms and ran to his big brother. Sesshomaru looked back seeing the pup full of fright and worry. The pup clinging onto his brothers leg, he was shaking when seeing something that only he can seem to see.

"Pup?" he spoke.

"Father…why?" he spoke staring at the sword. Sesshomaru looked at the sword, for what he seems to understand the pup can only see his father.

"Coward, he shows himself to the pup and not this Sesshomaru."

"Must be a reason, Sesshomaru."

"Hn." Inuyasha pulled on his brothers hakama, he looked down.

"Father says you cant touch the sword…" he was worried for what he had said, but when Sesshomaru touched the sword, a barrier was around it, causing him to burn his hand. He looked at his hand, seeing the burning flesh before him.

"Father..why do you treat me this way? What did I do to deserve this!" Kagome could see the anger being build up inside. Inuyasha was frighten the way he was acting, Sesshomaru smelled the pups worry and calm himself. Picking the pup up in his arms, Inuyasha wrapped his arms around his brother's neck, hugging him.

"Its not your fault…"

"I know pup. It seems father really hates me…" for some reason, he always hated his father. He betrayed his mother, ruin their family name and mated with a human and had a child. A half breed tainting his blood. His eyes widen, no the pup didn't ruin his family name, he WAS family to him.

"No, I don't son." Sesshomaru widen his eyes even more now. Staring in front of him, over the sword was non other than his father. Kagome rushed up to Sesshomaru's side, trying to make him stand up straight. Seeing their father before them really hit them both.

"Why wouldn't it let me? This Sesshomaru has someone to protect, isn't that what you told me. Before you died?" trying to calm himself down. Inuyasha looked at his brother, kissing his cheek.

"Only Inuyasha can possessed the sword, since he is still a pup. And you do saying you have someone to protect, show me."

"You really are a fool, father." Their father raised an eyebrow seeing his other son and the woman next to him. How could he have missed that.

"So it seems, you aren't cold as you were when you were determine to fight me." raising his hand over the sword, it began to glow.

Erica: True, but he wont show up in this one, it will explain later. Yes, I know at the end of the last chapter he was going to wait, but I had something else in mind. Lord Yuu will show up, but to me its too soon for him to be battling it out with Sesshomaru just yet. I guess I could bring the Shikon jewel in, but I will have to see and thank you.

Lee: It seems from what I say to Erica I might being the Shikon jewel in here. Also from the last question about Kagome's mother, she will be revealed soon enough.
