Tess had been here for a few months and her effect on others continues. Zero smiles with her and laughs, Toga's warmed up to her like an older uncle and most of the vampires hang out with her on occasions and

A few have been known to back her up on a hunt if she wasn't able to ask Zero for some reason.

Kaname and Yuki finally warmed up to her here, although I think it had to do with the fact that Tess didn't hold a grudge over her arguments with Kuran or Yuki so it didn't stay cold between them for long.

That and cute little Juri asked for Tess quite a bit.

Her parents had transferred nearby to be closer to her so they saw each other frequently. Zero even went on some of the visits. She had a lot of her dad in her I thought as I knocked on her bedroom door.

"Come in.", says my sweet niece as I enter to see her sitting on her bed a sketchbook on her lap.

"Hello Tess how are you adjusting to things.", I ask as she looks up at me. "I'll be ok I've got a lot to think on.", she says as I feel a prescience behind me as I sit by her.

And there is Yuki. "Tess I must ask that you cease toying with Zero's emotions.", she says looking at us.

Tess cocks her head with a raised eyebrow. "Why would I be toying with Zero?", she says looking back down at her drawing.

"I thought I made my intentions clear Yuki, I wouldn't take advantage of Zero's emotions", the she-wolf continues. "I don't want you making Zero into one of your kind!", shouts my daughter as windows shatter while I pinch my nose. "Yuki please don't over react. ", I say looking between the girls.

"Yuki I wouldn't make Zero a werewolf against his will, it's bad enough that woman made him into a vampire against his will.", the she-wolf says looking up from her drawing as has smoke coming out her ears.

"Yuki's p.o.v.

I won't have my cousin hurting Zero, I learned from my studying that werewolves were dangerous because some could change level-e's.

She sits there so calmly not bothered by my ranting while the headmaster tries to quell me. "Yuki you don't understand Tess has been very good for Zero.", he says .

"So your taking her side!", I shout as the glass in the room explodes as Tess lifts her sketchbook so the glass doesn't hit her face. "Yuki there are no sides, I don't know why you misunderstand me. I care for Zero a great deal and wouldn't do anything to purposely hurt him or sacrifice his trust.", she says looking at me with a sincerity that I want to believe but I can't.

Zero hasn't even asked me for blood since I've been here. "No I can't believe you, you're a wolf like those ones that helped try and take Juri.", I say angrily remembering the ones that helped try to steal my daughter away.

"I was chained to a wall and used by a pureblood as a juice box for a month until I escaped, should that color my opinion of all vampires.", she replies " I got caught cause the guy assigned to partner with me set me up should I hate all human hunters." her face is so calm and it makes me madder.

"Stop it you're a wolf and your going to hurt Zero I know it.", I say as she narrows her eyes.

"Did coexistence Kuran put you up to this Yuki, because I thought we were past this.", she says looking at me with a pained look in her eyes as I sense Zero and Kaname's presence outside the room.

The door gets busted open as I'm screaming profanities at Tess. Tess looks over at Kaname "You just had to knock her up again didn't you.", she says looking at him and I'm horrified because the pregnancy was a secret. I jump on her and put my hands around her throat and she looks into my eyes pleading like the look she gave me that day she got attacked on the playground when she told me to run for safety.

Zero and Kaname rush over to pull me off her as she doesn't fight me and my assault as she starts to close her eyes. When I'm pulled back I look at the girl I called my cousin who saved me and my baby as she's passed out. Zero rushes to her while Kaname holds me as the headmaster comes in looking at me disappointed before going to Tess.

"Is she alive?", my uncle asks upset as Zero listens for her heart. "Yea but faintly.", says Zero very distraught as he lifts her on the floor as he begins giving her rescue breaths. My cousin's neck is covered in bruising as I realize suddenly what I did.

"Come on Tess wake up, ", Zero says as I see his eyes get wet. I was so worried Tess would hurt Zero I didn't realize how upset he'd be if anything happened to her.

"Oh Kaname, what did I do. Why didn't she stop me?", I ask as I start to ball as he pulls me close in a comforting manner.

"She considers you family Yuki, even though you avoided her at first and only gave her accusations since she arrived.", says Zero looking at me angrily " She had no intention of raising a hand against you."

"And she took apparently took into consideration the young life you are carrying Yuki, because she commented on it.", says Kaname " She loves you Yuki, despite what she or you are she cares for you.", says the head master.

The tears run down my face as Zero holds her close before lifting her again. "We're going to take her to the infirmary.", says my the headmaster "I don't know what got into you Yuki, but you go get some rest too."

Kaname leads me back to our dorm. "For a wolf Tess is straight forward Yuki, she cared for you and our children as if we were her own. " he says "Don't beat yourself up to hard, I'm certain Tess will forgive you in time."

Zero's p.o.v.

I'd ran for Tess's room as soon as the glass went flying. When I arrived Kaname was there as Yuki yelled her accusations while Tess's voice didn't change tone as she tried to calm her cousin. When I busted through she was seated on her bed as the headmaster was fleeing and she'd looked so hurt at the accusations from Yuki.

I was now seated with her in the infirmary stroking her hair as the oxygen mask helped her while her body worked to heal itself. It was times like this I was glad as a wolf she healed quickly. I leaned over to kiss her forehead as her eyes began to flutter open. I helped her as she moved to sit up as her eyes had a questioning look.

I helped her as she removed the mask. "Sorry I worried you again.", she says sadly as the emotions swirl in her expression. I pull her close to me In a tight hug as she relaxes into me.

"Tess why did Yuki attack you?", I ask calmly as she looks down. "She seemed to believe I was toying with you and you were gonna end up hurt of turned into a werewolf and end up my werewolf slave.", she says sadly.

"Zero I would never purposely try to hurt you.", she says looking into my eyes cupping my face with her hands. She looked at me very distraught as her eyes watered. I moved my hands to the side of her cheek while her eyes filled with a passion that it took my breath away. I leaned in closer to her face with mine as she placed her free hand on my chest.

I placed my lips on hers in a kiss as I felt her smile into it returning it to me. She melted into it as I pulled her closer and she wrapped her arms around me. I deepened the kiss as I kept her close not wanting to pull away. We finally pulled apart because we both needed air.

She was now smiling and even though she didn't voice it I could see her love for me in her eyes and feel it in her kiss.

Later we were back at the headmaster's house again as she had my hoodie on with a pair of track pants while we fix dinner. I made sure to find a protein source because I remembered meat is as important to werewolves as blood is for vampires.

She was cutting the carrots, and other veggies while I was cutting up the round stakes for stir-fry, when the smell of her blood hit my nose as she the blade slipped and she accidentally nicked her finger.

She washed her hand off in the sink before looking at me and catching the red in my eyes.

"Take it you need it.", she says and I sigh before I lick her finger closing up the cut before I mover her hair to the side taking in her scent before I sink my fangs into her flesh.

Like all the other times I can read her heart, and even see her memories. Her blood is sweeter than Yuki's and sustains me longer when I drink from her. And I can here it calling out to me. If I didn't already know and if Tess never says anything I can taste the same love I saw earlier in her eyes as her blood calls out to me.

I pull away after licking the spot so it heals and look into her brown eyes deeply again before pulling her close again crashing my lips into hers in another kiss as her arms wrap around me in response. We stay there a little while until we jump at the sound of someone clearing there throat making us both look up as myself and Tess were both blushing.

"Glad to see you finally got it in you to act on your feelings for my daughter.", says a grinning Kane with crossed arms standing with a smirking headmaster. I keep my arms around her as she faces them still red.

"Hey dad what brings you here.", she asks nervously. "Just checking on my daughter", he says coming over and pulling Tess away from me into a bear hug.

"Kane your not bothered that Zero was kissing your daughter?", the headmaster asks.

"Nope as long as he doesn't break her heart I won' t rip his throat out.", replies the male werewolf eyeing me playfully.

"I didn't think you'd be so calm.", says Kaien. "Well after your reaction to me kissing your sister and how upset she got I learned something." Kane replies.
