Feel the Burn
"This could be going better." Laufey says as they hide behind a tree.
"This way my lord." Shaforcoa says pulling the king with with him.
The patrolling fire demons had yet find them yet being the key word. Shaforcoa he and the king weren't too far from the capital about a two days trip on foot if the hurry but getting cover before night fall was the real challenge.
"They're here!" one of the demons shouts.
Laufey and Shoforcoa both rush to escape the demons chasing them going deeper into the trees.
"We need to thin the numbers." Laufey says.
"Got a plan?" Shoforcoa asks.
"When don't I?" he says smirking these demon will regret coming here.
Elsewhere Loki was out near the castle gates reading a book on magic while Scout slept in his lap. When Scout pops his head up and looks out into the distance and gives a chirp.
"What is it boy?" Loki asks then looks to see a large bear charging toward him only to collapse.
Loki rushes over recognizing it as his father's it over hurt with claws like burn marks.
"Helblindi, Byleistr!" Loki yells.
Soon they show up to see what's wrong and are shocked to see the bear.
"I have bad feeling you guys." Loki says worry in his voice.
"Don't worry, Byleistr get the guards on high alert I'm going to look for them." the older giant says turning to get ready.
"Right." the sliver brother says.
"I'm coming with you." Loki tells Helblindi.
"Oh no you're not." Helblindi says getting his little brother.
"Yes I am." Loki demands.
"No you're are going to stay here where it's safe." Helblindi says picking Loki up and taking their father's chamber then shutting the door.
"Helblindi!" Loki shouts unable to move the large door.
"Forgive me baby brother." he sighs going back to Byleistr.
It had been hours since his brothers had left him in his room and Loki was still fuming. How he could help that's when he got an idea Bifrost gaps. He'd used them in the Asgard to move about in there why not here? There was just one problem where was Laufey and the others.
Scout comes over and licks Loki cheek.
"Thank you Scout but … that's it you just gave me a idea." Loki says looking at his stoat's tag.
Back with Laufey and Shaforcoa they were able to take most of the demons with the help of Helblindi.
"What are you to do now devil?" Laufey says getting ready to kill the monster.
"Hehe… you ice brains are dumber than you look." the fire demon says the whistles the ground soon starts shake.
Suddenly the ground opens ups and the demon uses the stab the icy king but Laufey guards injuring his arm rather than this heart.
"Sire." Shaforcoa says pulling him back as the crack erupts with fire and beast climbs out.
"Enjoy being this warg chew toy!" the demon says jumping into the crack.
The beast towards over them and roars it's drool burning the ground. The trio was barely able dodge as the beast slashes at them leaving scorch marks.
Back at the castle Byleistr was going to check on his little brother.
"Loki…" he says knocking on the door
"I know you're upset but you have to understand we just want protect you." the sliver Joten says not getting an answer back.
"Now come on don't be that way." Byleistr says opening the door to find a empty room.
"LOKI!"
