It was after closing. Haku's workers greeted Ia and her family, along with a farewell. The workers then left, leaving their boss to talk with her sister and her family. They sat down in the restaurant at one of the tables. The pink haired boy was asleep, sitting in between his mother and father. The albino sat across from them, preparing many sheets of paper and writing utensils.

"The restaurant was wonderful. Both in the décor and food," Ia told her sister.

"Thank you," Haku wrote.

"So this is what you have been doing since you were eighteen, right?" Ia asked.

"Correct, but construction took about a year. I had to earn some money by working as a house-keeper and child-sitter."

"Haku that is so admirable! This establishment and how you run it definitely show how much of a role model you are to me. You followed your heart and opened something you've always wanted."

Haku nodded, feeling thankful and acting humble by the compliments her sister was giving her. She smiled warmly and then wrote down, "You also followed your heart too. You fell in love and got married. But…when did you get married? You're almost nineteen if I am correct."

The platinum-blonde blushed immediately and then looked at her husband. She then looked at the albino, who had her arms crossed with a little impatient look. Her purple haired husband put a hand on Ia's shoulder, and nodded, which she took as a sign of support.

"S-sixteen…" She said in a low voice.

Haku was not too surprised by her younger sister's answer. She knew that Ia always wanted to marry her dream prince when she at least five years old. However, the fact that Ia had a child at a young age made her a bit nervous. She knew that young Ia had a health condition that made her weak and bedridden from a few minutes, hours, weeks, or months. This thought stretched for a mile in Haku's mind.

"What about you Haku? Have you met someone?" Her sister asked.

This snapped Haku out of her thoughts. She shook her head immediately, but slowly. There were plenty of men who approached the white haired woman over the course of a few years, but she turned them down. Then there was Kaito, her house guest. A sudden realization came to her that Kaito may be on the second floor, sleeping. At any rate, she must not let Ia and her family see him.

"Haku, you seem much more distant right now than earlier. How about we continue our conversation tomorrow? You must be exhausted from working." Ia told her sister, sounding worried.

"Sure, we'll pick up from tomorrow. I am available from four in the morning to twelve noon. Closing is at ten at night," Haku wrote down.

The sisters bid each other farewell for now. Haku also said (wrote) farewell to Ia's husband and sleeping child. After they left, Haku closed her doors and moved up the stairs to the bed rooms. Much to her dismay, Kaito was still awake. His behavior, however, was a bit different; he was hugging a pillow, covering his flushed face, and he was all pouty. Haku guessed that he was still drunk from earlier.

She quickly dipped a washcloth into some cold water and cautiously walked up to Kaito. He noticed her right away, grabbed her hand, and dragged her to the floor on her knees. His cold eyes stared into Haku's crimson eyes. He then adjusted himself into a position where he was laying down on the floor with his head on the albino's lap. Instinctively, Haku put the cloth on his forehead to cool him down.

"I hate everything and everyone." Kaito managed to say in a drunk way.

Haku was a little scared now. She continued to listen to the man.

"Except for you Mi-chan!" He said excitedly.

'Mi-chan?' Haku thought in her mind. That was the first time Kaito mentioned a person that he knew. From the sound of it, he was probably talking about a little girl, maybe his sister. Haku could not tell from guessing. She would have to ask Kaito, but in return she would probably get her throat slit. Seeing Kaito like this bothered her and made her feel bad.

"I can't handle those dreams anymore. They're too much!" He suddenly cried out, sounding a little scared and a little paranoid.

Kaito then hugged her waist, burying his face into Haku's large chest. She did feel embarrassed, but shook her head. Then she began to stroke the swardman's silky blue hair and tried to console him in any way possible. This stopped his crying pretty soon. His head looked up at Haku, and with a flushed face, he smiled at her with a warm smile, which stopped Haku's heart a little.

"Thank youuuu for being here with me," was all he said.

The albino could not help but smile. Even though Kaito's cold words were harsh and difficult to become accustomed to, she felt as though he had a good heart and decently good intentions from the start of his stay. Haku stroked the swordsman's blue hair once more, in hopes of making him lay down once more. Instead, he actually stroked her face with his hand gently. The albino's ruby eyes widened a little and she did blush, but she did not protest.

"You are cutest you play with my hair, Mi-chan. I thought it was also cute whenever your face was as red as a strawberry whenever I stroked it, like right now!" He admitted happily.

Haku said nothing; instead she just listened and stared at him in disbelief. The next thing she knew, she was being tackled to the floor by Kaito. He hugged her waist and gave her a toothy smile while trapping the albino's in his hug.

"Let's sleep together like before when it was dark and scary! Oh! And hum that one lullaby! The one that took away the scary dreams I had!" He said. He hummed the tune, which was something different from what Haku knew as a child.

Haku complied with his request and hummed the tune. She felt tired more than halfway through and somehow fell asleep in the middle it. Kaito, still drunk, somehow noticed that she fell asleep and smiled. Then he kissed her forehead. "Goodnight Mi-Chan…I hope we can play again someday…," Kaito said softly and then drifted off to sleep.

XxXxX

I admit, the chapter was a bit short and fast paced. I wanted to include more fluffiness with these two, so why not start with Kaito getting a bit drunk? Muahahah-AHAHAHAAAAA!

Excuse my laugh, that's just my inner crazy talking and thinking about all the things I can do with these two…

Anyway, I hope you guys enjoyed it. The file has been sitting here for a while and was waiting to be edited for major/minor corrections. AND YES I DO PLAN ON STARTING A NEW FIC SOON AND NOT A ONE-SHOT! It will be one of the two un-written story/plans that I have listed on my profile.
