I do not own Kamen Rider Drive or Senki Zesshou Symphogear. I'm just doing this for the heck of it and to have some fun. Enjoy.

Engine 10: Madoka's Feelings

A day had passed since Kanade had awoken from her coma. It wasn't until late last night that someone had taken notice of this when they were passing by the infirmary. Soon enough, word immediately broke loose throughout the Second Division base that the redhead had regained consciousness again. And then shortly after, everyone, save for Tsubasa who wasn't aware at the time, came to visit her.

Genjuro briefly explained to her about what happened at the concert and said that everything was fine. He also told her about some of the recent things, too. But for the remainder, Kanade was told to get plenty of rest and get better soon. Even after regaining consciousness again, her body is still recovering from the Swan Song's aftermath due to the huge toll it took. So unfortunately, she has to wait to get the doctor's approval. But on the bright side, it won't be too long until the effects wear off...

Right now, Tsubasa and Hibiki were visiting Kanade as they were simply talking about what was going on with them and whatnot.

"Aw, man!" Kanade mildly complained, slumping back on the pillow and put both hands behind her head. "Looks like I missed all cool action stuff while I was busy taking my beauty nap."

"Jeez, it's only been a day and you're already joking about being in a coma." Tsubasa sighed. When she learned that her friend had woken up from her coma, she was overjoyed.

The night before

Tsubasa yawned as she was about to turn in for the night, until her phone started to ring. With an exasperated sigh, she picks it up to see the Chief calling her. Knowing that it must be something important, she answered.

"Hello?" she began.

'Tsubasa…Sorry for calling you this late, but could you come to headquarters, please? There's something we discovered that you need to see right away.' Genjuro said.

"Okay. I'm on my way." she said before getting out of bed to get dressed.

When she arrived at Second Division, Shinji greeted her.

"Glad you can make it…" he smiled.

"Is something wrong?" she asked.

"Not at all…Please, follow me." he said, causing her to raise a brow before doing just that.

As her manager guided her, Tsubasa realized they were heading to the infirmary room.

Shinji, catching on, smiled at her.

And that was all Tsubasa needed to know, as she immediately ran towards the infirmary room only to be greeted by Genjuro, Ryoko, Sakuya, and Aoi followed by a wide grin of her best friend, Kanade Amou.

"Yo, Tsubasa!" the red haired girl smiled. "Been a while, hasn't it?"

Staring at her friend, Tsubasa cried tears of joy before running over to her.

After sharing a hug, which made everyone happy seeing them together again, the two were left alone to catch up and talk about many things together. Most of the time they were just reminiscing about their old concert shows, missions, training sessions, etc. But when they got to recent events, Kanade was interested to hear that Drive, the guy in the red armor, is an officer around their age who works in a unit that investigates the Slowdown phenomenon.

She was told the people in his department, save for two, and the police force in general don't know about him being Drive or the Drive Pit hidden in their building. Knowing that she would meet them soon, the red haired girl is very anxious to see what they're like.

"Oh, I just got a text from Shinjima-san." spoke Hibiki, making them look at her. "They have a day off, and should be coming here soon."

"Alright, I finally get to meet these guys and make some new friends…!" Kanade chuckled. She looked at her successor and instantly recalled their meeting earlier.

Moments Ago

"My name is Hibiki Tachibana! It's very nice to meet you…!" the girl politely bowed to her predecessor. She heard that she had finally awoken the night before, and wanted to meet her. After all, she still wanted to show her gratitude for Kanade saving her life that day, even though her attempt to sing the Swan Song put her own life in danger…but also granted her this power as well.

"Ah, so you're the one Gungnir went into." Kanade smiled before she patted the younger girl's shoulder. In turn, Hibikis looks up at her. "Tsubasa and the others told me a bit about you. And from what I heard, you seem to have a lot of heart."

"Oh, uh, well…" Hibiki embarrassingly scratched the back of her head.

"But Tachibana still needs a lot of work, though." Tsubasa interjected, causing Hibiki to slump a little.

"…Y-Yes." replied Hibiki. She honestly is trying to improve and better herself in battle. But she doesn't have an Armed Gear to work with, and her power just grants her enhanced physical abilities.

Tsubasa looked at the girl and sighed. "Well, she has plenty of room to grow." This made her smile. "Besides, now that you're awake, maybe you can supervise and see for yourself."

"Sure. I wanna see what my successor is capable of…" Kanade said, extending a hand to the younger girl. "It'll be nice to work with ya."

"Yes!" Hibiki then grabbed her hand.

Hibiki is obviously a nice girl. But if she doesn't gain some experience and toughen up, it'll only be a matter of time before that inexperience gets her killed or worse. Since she officially made the girl her successor, it would only be natural to help her out however she can.

Flower Shop

Kiriko strolled through the shop looking at each flowers on sale. She wore a simple blue/yellow striped shirt with blue shorts, sneakers, and two bracelets around her wrist.

"My God, how long does it take to pick out flowers?" Madoka irritably asked. Instead of his standard swat-like uniform, he wore a black shirt, dark jeans with black buckles that have silver trims, high collard black/gray sleeveless jacket, black fingerless gloves, and sneakers.

Since it was their day off, Kiriko suggested they get together and buy some flowers for Kanade before heading to Second Division.

"Be considerate, Madoka. After all, Amou-san has recently awoken from her coma the other day. So we need to bring her something to celebrate that." Kiriko explained as she looked at more flowers.

"Jeez, we could just go there and see how that redhead is doing. No need to bother with the flowers. I'm sure people are doing that already." he stated. "Not to mention they'll end up dying anyway."

"Still, it's a sign of good gesture."

"…Yeah, right." he lightly scoffed then walked out the door. "I'll wait for you outside."

When Madoka stepped outside he sighed before putting both hands in his pockets. Patiently waiting for his partner to come out of the shop, he spotted a vending machine and walks over to it. He looked at the variety of drinks, mainly the cold coffee beverages.

After putting a coin in the slot, hearing the drink fall, picking it up, Madoka popped it open and started to drink it. He released a sigh before looking at the can in his hand.

"Here, try this…'

'Ghh..! What the hell is this!? It tastes bitter!'

'Hahaha, well, that just proves you're not man enough for a drink like this yet.'

'Screw you!'

'Now, now, calm down…How about you try this one, it's a little sweeter.'

Madoka's lips had unknowingly started to curl up slightly.

"This is where you were." Kiriko's voice broke him out of his trance. Madoka's lips dropped back down to properly form his scowl as he looked at her. "Enjoying the drink?"

Looking back at his canned drink, Madoka clicked his tongue as he let himself get caught up in something he shouldn't have. "I was." He frowned before chugging the whole thing down and crushed the can before throwing it into the trash. "Anyway, we're supposed to meet with the Belt and Rinna, right?"

"Yeah." nodded Kiriko. "They should be waiting for us."

"Alright, let's go."

Second Division-Infirmary Room

"Hello~!" announced Rinna, making the girls look at her along with Madoka, Kiriko, and Mr. Belt as they stepped inside the room.

"Glad you came." Tsubasa said.

"Yeah." nodded Hibiki.

"Well, you know, we luckily had a day off." Rinna replied before walking over to Kanade's bed, extending a hand out to her. "Hi, I'm sure everyone here told you about us, but I'd like to introduce myself, if you don't mind. My name is Rinna Sawagami, the Electro Physics/ Mechanic Inventor."

"Same here." she returned the gesture. "I'm Kanade Amou. That's right, I hear you're the one who makes the equipment for the Slowdown, and uh…him, right?" Kanade looks at Madoka. "Let's see. Your name is Madoka, isn't it?"

"…Yeah." replied Madoka.

"Thanks for the assist back then. And, you know, for saving my life too." Kanade smiled, scratching the back of her head.

"Why are you thanking me? I was only doing my job." Madoka turns around and starts to leave the room. "Anyway, I came to this meet and greet. So I'm out of here."

"Madoka!" both Mr. Belt and Kiriko exclaimed. As usual, he doesn't listen to them and walks out the door.

"Jeez…" Kiriko sighed.

"I'm terribly sorry about that. He can be difficult to deal with at times." Mr. Belt said, looking at Kanade.

"Oh…! So there really is a talking belt! That's so awesome." Kanade said, looking at Mr. Belt completely ignoring the apology.

"Umm, thank you…But I was just saying…" Kanade interrupted him.

"Ah, don't worry about it. That's usually what people like him do when they're shy or uncomfortable. Tsubasa was even like that at one point." she laughed.

"Kanade!" the bluenette cried, earning a few laughs.

However, Mr. Belt and Kiriko along with the rest of them pondered at the redhead's earlier statement. Was Madoka really shy or uncomfortable? Granted, they do know he can be…well, a jerk at times. But they never considered that possibility before.

The former idol looks at Kiriko, "Anyway, you're name is Kiriko Shinjima, right? It's nice to meet you."

"You too." the policewoman nodded.

"I heard you got mini cars on your team, too, right?" she asked.

"Exactly!" announced Mr. Belt as the Shift Cars came inside the room.

"Awesome!" the redhead beamed.

As everyone was getting to know each other, Ryoko walked by the room and looked inside to see everyone together.

"What a lovely sight to see everyone here." she said, making them look at her. "You must feel really lucky, Kanade, to be visited by so many people and making new friends."

"It sure is." she replied.

"Speaking of new friends…" Instantly, Ryoko wrapped her arm around Rinna's shoulders.

"E-Eh?" the woman gapsed.

"…I've been meaning to speak with Rinna-chan for a while now. As fellow scientists and two upbeat, prideful women, I have a feeling that we're going be really good friends!" And just like that, Rinna was dragged away by the other woman.

"W-Wait…! T-This too sudden! Ah!" Rinna's cries became distant as everyone couldn't hear her anymore.

"I think those two will be great friends!" Hibiki's eyes sparkled in delight.

"I hope Rina will be alright." said Mr. Belt.

Aimlessly walking through the city streets with nothing to do and nowhere to go, Madoka decided he should just go back home and call it a day. After all, he already fulfilled his duty for the day by visiting that red head and going with Kiriko to get those flowers for her. Plus he hates being around a lot of people, anyway. So it'd be a pain if he stayed while everyone else was socializing or whatever.

'Try meeting people for a change.'

Halting, the multi color eyed teen shook his head trying to get a certain voice out of his head. With that out of the way, for now, he continued his venture back home. Although, he'll reluctantly admit that it is a nice day outside and it probably would be a waste to stay indoors all day. Heck, everyone seems like they're enjoying their day rather well. Even the children are outside playing games with each other and might be at the park or something.

Curiously, he looked at a nearby tree only to see a few birds just calmly sitting on each branch, singing a little tune to make the atmosphere have a calm feel. Speaking of music, he could have sworn that he hears some people out playing the drums or using some other type of instruments to play. Though he has no interest in music, well maybe a little bit of rock, this does seem to bring more of that calm feeling in the air.

Maybe going on a little walk wouldn't hurt. Besides, it's supposed to be good for people to be outside on days like this. The first thing he should probably do is find a hotdog stand so can he get some food in him. He really hasn't eaten anything when he woke up this morning anyway.

Back in the infirmary room, everyone was getting along with each other as they continued to socialize and talk about various subjects. And it seems that everyone was finding a common ground with each other, like Kanade and Hibiki sharing a mutual friendship that was basically that of mentor and protégé due to the older girl official passing on Gungnir and everything. However, they still have some common sharing features with each other that made their bonding pleasant.

Kiriko and Tsubasa, despite their age difference, were surprised by how many of the things they have in common since they've had little time to interact with each other as much. But now with this free time on their hand, they've had the opportunity to talk and even shared a few laughs here and there. Heck, they even got a little embarrassed when Kanade was teasing at their newfound friendship calling them 'soul friends' or something along those lines. All in all, everyone is finding common ground and a mutual friend within each other.

Even the Shift Cars are getting along with some of the girls and other workers in Second Division, especially Sakuya and Aoi. Speaking of which, Shadow even made a friend both within Tsubasa and Shinji for obvious reasons. And everybody else is having a good time.

Mr. Belt, on the other hand, while is on good terms with everyone else in the room and some of the people he has encountered so far…hasn't made an impactful friendship yet like everyone else had. In short, he was feeling a little down and perhaps a bit lonely. Well…maybe not too lonely since he does have friends and other collogues in the United States and other places, however he does crave for some interaction with someone. Despite being a mechanical talking belt, he is actually older than nearly everyone in the building and would like to have a mature yet friendly conversation with someone close to his supposed age.

So as he wondered around the hallways, the sentient belt heard a rather energetic cry followed by laughter. With curiosity getting the better of him, he went to see Genjuro in the control room watching some kind of Kung Fu flick on his computer drinking some juice…or was it a protein beverage? In any case, he seems to be enjoying himself.

"What are you watching, Genjuro-san?" asked Mr. Belt, wheeling his way over to him.

"Oh? Belt…?" spoke the red haired man, looking at the sentient belt. "Nothing much, just watching a really good action movie."

"…Action movie?" he pondered.

"Well come on over and join me!" Genjuro said as Mr. Belt had moved closer to the screen.

"This is very interesting." Mr. Belt admitted. "Do you often watch action films?"

"Of course I do! What I love most of all is watching kung fu flicks and other necessities what makes a man a man...!" the Second Division commander proudly stated with a smile.

"I-I see…"

Heart, Brain, and Chase made their way to a rundown theater.

Earlier, Heart received a message from a friend saying that they would like them to come to this exact location, just so they can have a little social call and catch up. Of course, knowing that it couldn't be any human or the ones that knows of their existence, it was easy to deduce that it was indeed another Roidmude. Honestly, Heart is quite happy to be getting an invite from one of his long lost friends.

The joy he felt is something that cannot be put into words.

"Aren't you curious why this Roidmude wants to see us, Heart?" started Brain, carefully observing their surroundings with a keen eye. "After all, it's not like for anyone of them to contact us, considering how many of the others have been running around acting foolishly."

"Of course I'm curious. But…" Heart stretched his arms out before bringing them back in. "…I'm not going to turn down an invitation from a valued friend. It would be wrong."

"That is the weakest argument that I've ever heard from you." frowned Brain, expecting more from their leader. "More importantly, I don't believe this to be any social call."

Heart laughed it off, "Don't worry, I have full confidence that our friend will explain once we properly greet him."

"It's been a long time, Heart, Brain, Chase…" a voice said, making them look ahead to see a male figure standing beside a table.

He is a handsome young man around his mid to late twenties wearing a white dress shirt, black vest, black tie, light blue jeans with a thin chain hanging from the left hip, and dress shoes. He has messy dark hair tied in a small ponytail.

"061." recognized Heart, smiling at him.

"I see you evolved." stated Brain. Even though every Roidmude can detect each other's numbers despite being in human disguise, it was even more so to tell when another has evolved because of the shift in one's own individual power.

"Indeed." replied Wing. "My friends and I have been all over in order to reach the level we're at now."

"You're not by yourself?" Brain suspiciously asked.

"I've been hanging around 102, 005, 020, and 014. Oh, and before you ask, they're not here with me at the moment. They're currently venturing out into the city minding their own business." Wing told them. "Ah yes, from now on, I would like for you to call me Wing. That's my name now."

"Wing…What a beautiful name." Heart complimented.

"Why thank you, Heart. I'm happy to hear that." Wing chuckled. "Anyway, even though we've evolved, we don't compare your power, Heart. I'm afraid we don't match up to you quite yet in terms of raw power, strength, and potential."

"I could care less about that. What's important is that old friends are gathering together catching up."

"How naïve of you, Heart." spoke Brain. "Clearly, this isn't just a social call. You either want something from us or you want some information regarding to our latest activities."

"Actually, I'm well aware of the situation. And…I'm terribly sorry about what happened 033. Oh, I'm sorry, I mean Scooper." Wing said. "It was a shame. Scooper had so much potential, yet he was taken down by the Kamen Rider."

"Yes." nodded Heart. "It was very unfortunate, but the Kamen Rider has proven to be quite the tenacious one. Chase has been fighting him the most, yet he can only hold him off into a temporary stalemate. Unfortunately, Chase has been losing each of his fights with the Kamen Rider quite frequently now. So it's only a matter of time before I step in."

"I see. This Kamen Rider really is strong, then." Wing said. "By the way, I've been in contact with some of our friends and heard that Brain tried facing against the Kamen Rider as well. Is it true that you poisoned him, and ended getting beaten up by the very same person while they were poisoned?"

Brain gritted his teeth in response. He could never forget that humiliation the Kamen Rider had put him through. It literally took him at least a day or two recover, however he still feels some sores here and there despite being a freaking machine!

"Uh-oh, it looks I struck a nerve~!" Wing chuckled, walking over to Brain. He then politely bowed to him. "I'm sorry for that, Brain. I just wanted to know if I heard the information correctly. So please, forgive me for being inconsiderate of your feelings."

"Come now, Brain. I know you're still feeling terrible about what happened. But let's just forget about all of that and focus on catching up with an old friend. After all, Wing didn't mean any harm."

"I highly doubt it!" Brain bitterly thought.

"Ah, but let's forget about our ordeal with the Kamen Rider and humans for now. Instead, how about we all go to a nice café and grab a cup of tea or perhaps a stroll around the city. I'm curious to know what you all have been up to." Wing said, earning a nod from Heart.

Park

He never did find that hotdog stand but he did get a sandwich, though. It's actually really good. Beside him is a bag of chips and juice can that he recently got out of the nearby vending machine. Quietly eating his lunch on the bench, Madoka just absentmindedly stared into space literally thinking of nothing. Well, that wasn't entirely true. He was looking at the kids playing with each other as their mother called them over.

One of the kids ran up to their mom giving her a hug before taking a hold of each other's hands. They look really happy…

Madoka, eight years old, slept peacefully on a woman's lap. A long strand of black hair tickled his nose, causing to shake his head and open his eyes. He was greeted by most kindest and loving smile he had ever laid eyes on.

Madoka widened his eyes then instantly brushed away whatever he was thinking, and went back to eating lunch. "What the hell is wrong with me?"

Quickly eating his food and chugging down his drink, he threw them all in the trash before standing up from the bench. He figured it was about time for him to go back home.

The Next Day

Madoka stepped inside the Drive Pit only to find himself surrounded by three Shift Cars. He can see that one of them is a red fire truck, bronze road roller, and green garbage truck.

The Shift Cars went around Kiriko and Rinna before they landed on the ground.

"Glad to see that you made it, Madoka." Mr. Belt said, his voice coming from one of the Shift Cars. "With you here, we can begin introductions." The red fire truck rolled up first. "This is Fire Braver."

In response, the fire truck based Shift Car honked.

"And of course, you've already met Rolling Gravity." Mr. Belt said as the Road Roller based Shift Car honked.

"He creates the road for the other Shift Cars." he noted. He then focused his gaze at the green garbage truck. "So I guess this garbage truck is another new body, right? Your voice is coming from there…"

"Exactly!" he said. "This is Shift Technic. In this Type, Drive's precision and awareness will be dramatically increased, and you'll be able to notice things that the human eye cannot. Additionally, this new form will allow you to use certain Shift Cars like Braver or Gravity. Now then, let's begin the test!"

"Fine," The moment he had taken Type Technic in his hand, a faint spark of green electricity had emitted from the Shift Car, causing him to raise a brow. "What the…?"

"Huh?" questioned Mr. Belt. "That's weird. I just felt a spike in Type Technic just now."

"Really?" questioned Rinna. She went on her laptop and checked on Type Technic's data. "Nothing is showing up on the monitor."

"Maybe it was my imagination, then." Mr. Belt said. "Anyway, let's proceed."

As he was about to insert Type Technic into Shift Brace's slot, it refused to go in. Then green electricity once again emerged from Type Technic literally fighting against Madoka who tried his damnedest to make it go inside the slot. Soon that electricity began to encompass his body.

"What's happening?" exclaimed Kiriko, worried about her partner's safety.

"I don't know!" replied Rinna, looking back at the screen. "It says everything's fine! But why is this happening?"

"Ah!" Mr. Belt cried, realizing the reason and one of the most important details that he forgot to mention. "Madoka, please stop this at once! There's something I have to tell you!"

Unfortunately, Madoka wasn't listening as he gritted his teeth still trying to get the Shift Car into the slot. But he was only making things worse as the electricity continued to intensify, until it had more than force to completely launch him across the room, causing him to drop the Shift Car as he then crashed against the wall leaving a dent.

"What the hell!?" he growled, taking several steps forward until a jolt followed by green electricity ran through his body causing him to stop. "Hgh!"

"I knew it." Mr. Belt spoke, earning their attention. "Please, forgive me for not telling you this sooner. But I have neglected to inform you that Technic, much like Wild, is powered by a state of mind."

"…State of Mind?" blinked Madoka, confused.

"Yes. I had assumed that you already had the requirements to activate Type Technic, since you had done so well with both Speed and Wild. However, I let myself be blinded by the fact that Type Technic is actually a Shift Car that may be difficult for you to achieve."

"You're not making any sense! What do you mean by 'State of Mind', and why would Technic be difficult for me achieve?" Madoka's eyes flashed in anger.

"The reason you were able to effortlessly achieve Type Wild is because it requires a burning passion. In your case…that would be anger." the belt stated. "And, for Technic, it's having a cool and calm state of mind. In short, you must be utterly calm and relaxed."

"So basically, you're saying I have a problem…right?" he started, eyes narrowed.

Rinna interjected, "No, no, no it's just that…! Um, well…you need to be a little calmer and not act so aggressive all the time, you know! Oh! I know some great deep breathing exercises that might just-!"

Unfortunately, Mr. Belt cut the woman off by interjecting him, "I wouldn't say a problem. More like, a flaw you need to overcome. To be honest, whenever you get angry, you tend to lash out at people and resort to violence."

"That…is true…" Kiriko reluctantly agreed. "I mean, from what Rinna and Mr. Belt told me…you did get pretty upset with them when they present Handle-Ken and Door-Ju. And you lashed at them pretty harshly, even going as far as to threaten them."

"Not my fault that a certain someone here has a shitty taste in design." Madoka scowled even further, crossing his arms while looking away from them. "Anyway, it's clearly obvious that Shift Car doesn't want me using it."

"That's…" Mr. Belt trailed as they heard Braver honking before leaving the Pit.

People were screaming and running as they barely escaped a house that somehow caught on fire. Others were watching from the sidelines as they either took pictures or started to blog about it while waiting for fire fighters to arrive.

Within an instant, unbeknownst to anyone, a Density Shift had occurred. From behind the crowd a middle aged man with rectangular glasses wearing a lab coat simply walked through the shift with ease. The moment his eyes landed on the burning house, a smile crept onto his features until a siren was heard.

It was none other than Fire Braver as the Shift Car quickly dove into the flames, starting to extinguish the flames with his hose. The flames were quickly dealt with, causing the man to frown at the Shift Car's interference before quickly leaving the crime scene before anybody notices him.

Special Investigation Unit

"Aw man, it was a bad idea to stay up so late watching anime." complained Kyu, walking inside the room only to notice that everyone was about to head out. "Huh? Are you all going somewhere?"

"There's been a series of fire houses in the Fuchu suburbs." informed Rinna, preparing her Acceleration Particle.

"House fires? That doesn't sound like anything for Special Crime Unit." he noted.

"That what I thought." spoke Jun. "But reports of Density Shifts have occurring with witness testimony."

"It's exactly what Braver reported." Kiriko whispered to Madoka. "We should get going."

Madoka hopped out of his seat and walks over to the door.

At the crime scene, Rinna ran out of the house as she showed Madoka her findings of a Density Shift particle. "See, just like we thought."

"So we have a Roidmude that's an arsonist." Madoka commented. Soon they heard someone fall on the ground along with a clang. They turn around to see a boy around the age of 10 or 11 with a broken toy.

"Are you okay?" Rinna asked, concerned.

"I'm okay." the boy nodded. He then looks at Madoka, "Are you…a policeman? You look like one of those teenagers I see around the neighborhood."

"…Yeah. I started off earlier than most." Madoka told him.

"Did your little robotic toy break?" asked Rinna, holding the burnt machine in her hands.

"It's been broken since last night." he said, the older woman handing him back the toy before reclaiming hold of it. "But I'm going to have fixed today."

"Well it ain't all burnt to hell, that's for sure." the multi color eyed officer stated. "Anyway, you remember what time this happened?"

"It must have happened around 8pm…when I heard the sirens."

"What's your name?" asked Kiriko.

"Teruhiko, Nozaki Teruhiko." he said.

"Thank you for the tip, Teruhiko-kun." Rinna smiled as the boy nodded before running off.

Madoka then walks over to the burnt objects in display, looking at each of them.

"Something wrong?" asked Kiriko.

"Still not sure what to make of this yet." He narrowed his eyes, directing his attention at two suspicious looking men dressed in suits watching them. "But I'm sure those guys do."

The two men who were watching the police quickly left the area taking note that one of them had instantly noticed them.

"Tch, those damn cops are nosing in on our business." one of them said.

"Forget about it. They're still just a bunch of humans." the other said.

"Is that so?" As soon as they heard that, one of them was forcefully turned around only to be punched in the face by Madoka and fell on the ground, holding his face. "How about we cut the BS already?"

Without a reply, the man who didn't get punched released a Density Shift surge. Fortunately for them, Madoka and Kiriko didn't have a Shift Car on them, giving him enough time to pick up his partner as they started to run away.

Thankfully, Flare, Spike, Hunter, Shadow, Cab, and Vegas came to their aid as they jumped into their holders. Once they could normally move again, they went after the two.

"Keep going forward, I'll get them from the front." Madoka said, earning a nod from his partner as he went the other direction.

Kiriko could see they were going underneath a bridge with street barricades in the way. To anyone who hasn't physically trained their body for situations like this, they'd have a hard time getting around. But since she has the training to back her up, the policewoman easily leaped over the barricades. As she was about to catch up to them, Madoka suddenly appeared in front of them and grabbed their shirts, slamming them down the ground very hard.

"Damn! How's a human this strong?" one of them questioned.

"You must be the Kamen Rider's allies!" said the other.

"Like I said, how about we cut the BS and just tell us who the hell is pulling off these arson acts. Cuz it certainly ain't a bunch of piss ants like you, if you're this weak…" Madoka frowned, kicking one of them in the gut sending him flying against the wall.

"You'll regret that!" the other one declared as they both turned into their Roidmude form. Soon they were revealed to be Bat Type numbered 103, and Cobra Type numbered 037.

"You might wanna stand back Kiriko." he advised. She nodded and stepped back.

Then, as if on cue, Tridoron came as Madoka went over to the car and pulled Mr. Belt out.

"Glad you could make it on time." he remarked, attaching him onto his waist.

"I was nearby, after all." Mr. Belt reminded. "Never mind that, let's get ready!"

"Henshin!"

"DRIVE-TYPE SPEED!"

"No way!" exclaimed 037.

"You were the Kamen Rider!?" finished 103.

"Now that you know this, you should be aware how fucked you're all going to be." Drive told them.

In response, 103 aims at the Kamen Rider and fires a barrage of bullets from his fingers, however Drive brandishes Handle-Ken simply raising the blade up having it act as a shield while walking over to his prey. Quickly closing the short gap between them, Drive slashes 103 across the chest followed by right hooking him across the cheek. Afterwards, he steps to the side dodging 037's attack then stabs Handle-Ken through his chest where his core should be.

Once his blade made contact with 037's core, the Roidmude immediately exploded without question leaving his partner alone.

"Damn you!" growled 103.

"Don't worry, after you tell me which one of you is pulling these strings, I'll happily make sure you reunite with your friend in the scrap pile." he said. "But for now, I only need one of you alive."

As Drive was focused on the Roidmude, a Spider Type numbered 024 crawled on the wall above them as he then shoots a high voltage of electricity at Drive, sending a painful shock at him.

He then landed beside 103 after seeing how much his attack had affected Drive. Then he became surrounded in blue electricity as he changes into his evolved form.

His appearance was rather odd as he looks like a giant electrical pole or coil with those larges swirled pipes attached to his back and shoulders. On his arms were large gauntlets with additional coils that have spikes. And his chest was covered in metal pipes connected to a yellow orb. Also, his legs seemed to have small pipes sticking out while yellow lines ran through them.

"Great." scowled Drive. "…This makes it the second time that I was shocked with electricity."

"Indeed." spoke Mr. Belt. "Be careful, if he could already control electricity in his lower form, imagine what he can do now?"

Drive frowned in response, "So who the hell are you supposed to be? I'm sure you're named something after your electricity power, right?"

"The name's Volt." the Roidmude known as Volt said. "But no time for chit-chats, I need to quickly remove you from the equation before you become a pain."

"Heh, let's see you say that after I deal with that piece of scrap metal." Raising his Handle-Ken, the car themed Rider slowly approaches his targets as one of them, being 103, quickly charges at him only to be slashed multiple times in the chest by Drive as he cried in pain. "Out of my way, I'll deal with you later."

With that, he simply pushes the lesser Roidmude to the side.

He became within Volt's reach as he swing down his sword only to have the electric based Roimude block it with his arms, as they emitted electricity that traveled through Drive's blade and then greatly shocked him afterwards.

"Dammit!" he cursed. Electricity was running through his body as sparks flying off his armor. But he was in more trouble when Volt swung his arms at him back and forth with repeated punches were coated in sparks of electricity.

Drive was sent flying back against a couple of crates as small sparks of electricity painfully emitted off his armor.

"Madoka!" cried Mr. Belt, worried.

"I'm fine. It's nothing but annoying stings." he said, keeping a tight grip on his sword. He then pulled out Type Wild before changing forms.

"DRIVE-TYPE WILD!"

In his black and silver form, Drive proceeded toward his enemies.

Volt and 103 kept their distance from him knowing they would be in a heap of trouble if they confronted him in close combat. Thanks to Volt gathering information about the Kamen Rider, courtesy of Brain, he knew that the only way to beat him or at least keep him at bay would be to attack from a distance and hope to find an opening to strike. It was a long shot…but he's willing to do just about anything to keep this beast away from them.

Both Roidmudes traded glances and nod as they fired off their attacks, with sparks surrounding Drive, as he managed to evade their blasts. 103 took to the skies as he fired off more blasts from above, making it harder for Drive to evade due to the extra weight Type Wild has.

"Damn!" frowned Drive, trying to avoid each blast. Thanks to his durability he was able to tank each of them, but it wasn't going to be much help unless he can get close and stick his hand right through their goddamn chests and literally crush their Cores into his palms.

"You need to clear your mind and use Technic! It's the only way we can beat opponents using a strategy such as this…!" Mr. Belt advised.

Before Drive could retort, a powerful wave, none that he has never felt before crashed into him sending him flying into a nearby building.

"That should be enough." a voice spoke.

Kiriko stayed hidden as she and the other two Roidmude look to see a muscular looking Roidmude approach them.

It was Knuckle.

"014."uttered Volt, realizing who this was now.

The bulky Roidmude approached Volt and 103 as they looked at him, "You two should get goin' unless ya want the Kamen Rider to wreck you. Besides, ya got better thing to do, don't you?"

"Why yes. I believe we do." Volt chuckled. Then he looks at 103. "Let us go."

103 nodded before they left the area.

"Bon voyage." Knuckle nonchalantly waved.

"Hey, douchbag…!" Drive yelled from inside the building. His form darkened into a silhouette as his eyes ominously flashed to life glaring at Knuckle. "Who the hell said you can interrupt us?"

Junk Yard

Volt and 103, in their human forms, walked through a junkyard making their way back to base.

"I certainly didn't expect 014 to show up." Volt said. His human form was that of a man in his mid fifties or so with grayish/white hair, a large pair of square shaped glasses, and wore a standard scientist outfit with a red Hawaiian shirt underneath a white lab coat.

"You should count your blessings, then." Chase spoke, causing the two to look up at the proclaimed Reaper standing on top of a pile of junk.

"Hello, my good Reaper." said Volt. "Sorry about that. My plans ran into a hitch. But a change in location should do the trick for my experiment. So please, don't execute me yet. Heart would truly be disappointed if I died, no?"

Chase jumps down in front of the pair making them step back.

"Fine. Hurry and get out of here." Chase instructed. With that he walks away and changes back into his human form. "I haven't been feeling like myself lately. No doubt my encounter with the Kamen Rider is the cause behind this..."

"Can't believe he wanted to erase me for starting a few fires." chuckled Volt.

Meanwhile, Teruhiko was secretly hiding behind a rundown car as he had witnessed the whole thing. Scared and confused, the boy decides to run away to get help. Unfortunately, Volt appears in front of him.

"Mr. Inventor…" Teruhiko identified. "Y-You started those fires, didn't you?"

"I see you overheard my conversation with that monster, eh. That's a real shame. I really liked you, you know. You were really smart." Volt said approaching the boy who back away. "This won't do at all."

Knuckle and Drive traded blows for blows. However, unlike with the other Roidmudes he faced before, possibly aside from Iron, his attacks weren't fazing Knuckle as the said Roidmude hardly felt a thing. For Drive, on the other hand, he could feel his hands aching due to how tough Knuckle's body is. Regardless, he kept punching trying his damnedest to break through.

"What a stupid little boy." taunted Knuckle. He lands a two hit combo to Drive who staggered back until Knuckle delivers a low blow to his gut, causing him to drop down and cough.

"Th-Those punches were powerful. Even more so than Iron's…!" noted Mr. Belt.

"Iron…" Knuckle chuckled. "Please, that guy was nothing but a cheap imitation of yours truly. Unlike that guy, my fists are several times stronger than anything he could ever dish out. For example…" His left fist began to brightly glow in a yellow energy as it expanded taking the form of a large fist. "…he couldn't do this!" Thrusting out his arm, he releases the conjured fist as it makes it way toward Drive who immediately uses his dune buggy wheel to protect himself.

Unexpectedly, the yellow conjured fist had just phased through him like ghost.

"The hell…?" questioned Drive.

"What did you do?" demanded Mr. Belt.

"In ten seconds you're going to feel an extreme force of pain."Knuckle told him.

"Like I give a shit about that…!" Drive retorted.

"Don't!" Mr. Belt cried. "We should retreat right now! I have a bad feeling about this!"

"I ain't running." Drive told him as he rushes over to Knuckle who awaited him. As soon as he closes the gap he rears his right arm back. Bringing his own fist forward it made contact with Knuckle's chest. Once again, it had no effect. "D-Dammit!"

"That should be ten seconds." Knuckle said.

With that said, Drive didn't feel anything until a surging amount of pain over came him. He could feel his muscles screaming as if they were being torn apart! And his body just ached in pain more so than before! "Argh!" grunted Drive, keeping on his feet.

"Madoka…!" Mr. Belt cried, scared for his life.

"Still standing, eh? Of course, that's to be expected from the scary Kamen Rider." Knuckle said as he repeatedly jabbed him much like a professional boxer.

Drive felt his head spinning. He didn't get a chance to steel himself as he was bombarded with more punches that felt like dumbbells. Another blow had landed onto his stomach, causing him to cough as he could hardly breathe. "What…the hell…is this…?" Is what he thought.

"What's the matter, boy? Feeling a little lightheaded?" taunted Knuckle. "Sheesh, if that's all you got, then I'm disappointed. Literally almost every Roidmude is afraid of you cuz you've beaten Chase so many times, and you've successfully destroyed us without taking so much as a proper beat down."

Gathering energy into his arms, Knuckle releases said energy as it took form into fists that collided with Drive. He repeated the attack causing Drive's armor to crack as sparks continuously flew off him. Soon he was sent flying backwards falling face front onto the ground with his transformation canceled. Mr. Belt had been forcefully detached from Madoka's waist as he flew across the room.

Madoka grunted as slowly pushed himself off the ground. But his condition wasn't good. Most of his clothing was torn with rips here and there. His left pants sleeve was torn leaving a bare leg, his right arm was exposed although it had a deep bruise on the upper arm, and his vest had fallen off him. Blood trailed from his forehead and lower lip, with bruises on his face.

"Oh no…" muttered Mr. Belt.

"Took the words out of my mouth." said Knuckle, approaching Madoka as he managed to get on his feet. Soon he punched him repeatedly until he backhanded him, making him fly across the room crashing into a few supplies that happen to be inside. "That should take care of ya."

Much to his surprise, Madoka was still kicking as he barely pushes the materials out of the way and then fell on all fours.

"Madoka, stay down!" Mr. Belt begged.

"…Stay…out…of it…" he managed to get out. Ignoring his body's plea to stop he stepped forward only to receive a hard right hook as he fell down with Knuckle standing over him.

"Quite the durable one, aren't ya. Let's see how much you can take." With that said he started to wail on him a little more.

"Stop it!" yelled Mr. Belt.

Knuckle grabs Madoka by the head. His hand slowly beginning to crush his skull as the boy made grunted in agony refusing to let out a scream.

"Come on, little boy. Cry out in pain already!" Knuckle chuckled as he tightened his grip.

Madoka let out pained grunts but refused to give in…

L

A six year old Madoka was lying on the ground covered in bruises trying his hardest not to let tears flow down his cheeks. No matter how much he wanted to, he couldn't.

L

Knuckle slammed Madoka onto the ground. "Tch. Is this seriously it? Man, here I was expecting a beast.

"I…never…" Despite being beaten into a pulp by now, Madoka miraculously managed to stand.

"Please, Madoka…! Stay down! I'm begging you!" Mr. Belt desperately pleaded.

"Huh?" Knuckle was a little baffled now. "For God's sake how are you still standing? Sheesh, I guess there is some truth to you about being a beast." Rearing his arm back he was about to punch him again.

L

Madoka, twelve years old, aimlessly walked through the ruined streets by himself ignoring everything around him. His palms were coated in blood, and his eyes kept leaking tears only making inaudible sobs here and there. But most of all, he was haunted by these words…

'It's your fault this happened.'

L

"…wanted…" Madoka raised his arms up.

"Stop it!" yelled a familiar voice as a blue blur entered the building. Knuckle quickly reared his fist back as he tried to follow a certain bluenette's movements, but ended up getting slashed multiple times on the chest followed by kick.

"Tsubasa-san!" exclaimed Mr. Belt, relieved. No doubt Kiriko had called her.

"A relic user, huh…" Knuckle mused. "I sure would have loved to see how you faired. But my task here is done." With that Knuckle walked out of the building leaving them alone.

Relieved, Tsubasa turns around and gasped once she saw the state that Madoka was in. "Madoka!" she cried, rushing over to him. "Oh no…this is terrible! We need to get him to a hospital!" She carefully and gently placed her hand on his left shoulder.

Kiriko came running in. "Is he okay?" Her question was answered once she took a look at Madoka's condition. "Madoka..!" Seeing him like this made her run faster. "This is bad! Where's Doctor…?" she yelled.

"He'll be here soon." Mr. Belt informed, looking at the beaten boy with concern. "Madoka…"

To the girls' amazement, including Mr. Belt, they were surprised that he was even standing at all. They could tell by his injuries alone that he should have long been collapsed and unconscious by now. Carefully, Tsubasa took the approach as she gently lowered his hands. The duo could hardly see his face as it was covered by his hair.

Looking at each other with concern, Kiriko used her hand to lightly brush away Madoka's locks. Once they got a look at how dull his eyes were they lightly gasped.

Unbeknownst to them, Madoka was barely conscious as his vision was blurred. He can hardly see a thing aside from two blurry figures. They looked familiar but he didn't know who they are. The two figures slowly morphed into two familiar smiling faces that were directly aimed at him.

Tsubasa, Kiriko and Mr. Belt lightly gasped once tears had started to shed from Madoka's eyes as he was about fall forward. Both Tsubasa and Kiriko had already taken a hold of him.

"…to…feel like this…" was Madoka's last thought as he loses consciousness.

Note: Hey, guys. I know it's been a while since this story was last updated and I'm very sorry for those of you who enjoy it. Honestly, this chapter was difficult to make. As you clearly saw, this chapter dives more into Madoka's character and show how he really is underneath his crusty exterior. Not to mention revealing a little bit of his early life, to understand how and why he is right now. Also, I know a few people may have a few problems with his personality, but that's just his character and, as stated in this chapter, a flaw he needs to overcome.

So please don't think of him as edgy or anything, because at the end of the day Madoka is just a kid who needs to get his priorities straight.

Anyway, the next chapter or so will conclude episode 9 and 10 of the Kamen Rider Drive side of this story. And from then on, it will solely focus on the Symphogear side and onwards.

Later.
