life without joey- chapter 10.

Lauren's pov: The next day i was getting ready for the funeral with Abi as we dressed all in black and laughed at how much i had grown even though i could still see a bit of the old teenage me, especially the gothic one. The phone ringed down stairs and my mum picked it up as me and Abs were coming downstairs. My mum asked the caller to hold for a sec whilst she got something, or someone. Her eyes softened and flicked to me, "lo" she breathed. "its the lawyers" i sighed, "how do they know I'm here?" i groaned. "just hang up and tell them i don't want any of joe's belongings." she shook her head and sighed. "this is different." I raised an eyebrow. "the doctors, police and all have still not found a body which is identified to joey's description." I knew all about this as when i was finally moving on the lawyers called and asked for a description of him. I had told them everything i knew along with alice and my mum and dads input. They phoned one day asking for more information and i hung up as i was trying to move on and i told them it was difficult to relive the past and think of him who i still loved. Since then i have always ignored there calls and hung up while they just keep on bugging me, i put the phone down in anger so i don't reach boiling point and explode again. "well?" i asked confused. "They think they've tracked him down babe." she whispered. I shrugged. I wasn't going anywhere. "Im not going anywhere to confirm my ex husband is dead." i shouted. Abi nodded in understanding what i was saying and squeezed my shoulder for comfort. "no Lauren. They haven't tracked down his body... try alive.".
