Golden

Hello everybody and welcome back to chapter ten~!

This story came together with the help of Persona 2 Innocent Sin, (which I just started and love), Persona 4 Golden, Persona 4 Arena, Persona 4 the Animation/Golden Animation, Persona 3 FES/Persona 3 Portable/Persona 3 Movie #1 Spring Of Birth and Persona Q Shadows of the Labyrinth, (which I'm still trying to complete – it's a fan service story so I'm taking a bit more than just 'taking my time').

Moving on, for the title… I decided to do something simple, ('Golden' … It has a unique ring to it that I like)…

I hope you guys enjoy this. Please leave feedback.

Anyway onto the summary;

Returning to normal life in the city wasn't that hard as Yu Narukami thought. It's only barely been a week since the craziness of the Midnight Channel of him, Rise and the rest of the investigation team - teaming up to dance their way through ending waves of shadows and down to the real cause of why people, once again, were going missing. However, now after finally settling back in his home, he faces challenges as a third-year, his unique and awkward family and the possibility of tragedy right around the corner – Yu Narukami is seemingly on his own as this new version of the 'Midnight Channel' has appeared in the real world. Will he rise up again to face this evil? Or shall the truth and destiny of all of man - doomed by shadows that plague his home?

After awaking from a long slumber – Minato found himself back in the world of the living. With the aid of Elizabeth, an ex-velvet room attendant, Minato gets back in touch with life – only to be brought into a world he thought he completed. This time around Minato is trapped within the Midnight Hour. Despite concerns from an outside party – he's not worried. However, it's clear that somethings aren't the same as they were once. Things start to unravel as he tries to defeat a new evil all on his own and of course Ryoji is always along for the ride. How will that shape his world? Will anything come and change or will he fall under the weight of what the Midnight Hour has to offer?

With Jitsuko persona powers awakened, Yu and Minato have a great new ally. Despite easily balancing her day to day work and her abilities during the Midnight hour – Jitsuko feels something dark lingering along her shoulder at every turn. How will Jitsuko handle this problem? Will she break under this dark aura?

Oh, as the story goes on – I shall update the summary, so try not to skim over it.
Next the keys or special notes you need to look out for within the story, so you all can understand.

Reviews/Question:

(If I get any reviews I'll answer them here. Unless you don't want me to – just put in your review that you just want me to pm you back and that's fine as well.)

I don't really have too much to add but I would like to give thanks to the songs 'Connect' and 'Irony' by ClariS to finally help me figure out how my ideas of this story as they finally clicked together.
Nevertheless, let's jump right into the story!

He had gotten there a bit late, but Mrs. Chino greeted Yu with a warm smile, standing off to the side, and allowing Yu to come in.

"Sorry I'm late, I know you said that you wouldn't be done tutoring until eight, but I was wondering if you could look over it and give improvements."

"You're okay, no need to worry about that Yu. A few of your other classmates left before you got here with the same question. So what did you choose your topic on Yu?" They went over to her assigned desk as Yu pulled up a seat and dug through his backpack to pull out his paper,

"Oh, I choose the topic of how friendship and bonds are the core of a human lifestyle, big and small. Here you go."

"Interesting topic, honestly, I didn't think I would have a topic like that come from you. In any case, thank you." To Yu's surprise, Mrs. Chino pulled out reading glasses and slid them on her face before looking intensely at Yu's paper. Reaching over, she grabbed her red pen without breaking her reading pace. When Mrs. Chino didn't say anything about it, Yu coughed as she took a moment to glance up as Yu pointed out,

"Are you near sighted?" A faint wry smile appeared on her lips,

"Yes, I guess you know my secret as to why I never ask the front row too much of anything. I'd needed these things since I was child, nothing I could really do about that." Yu only nodded after, feeling like he shouldn't have pried, however, the small smile didn't leave her lips as she went back to work. Yu took another good look around the office and it wasn't anything different from the others he's seen in his lifetime. Maybe this one was a bit bigger, but the structure and core purpose of the room was the same. Looking at her desk, there was a picture of Mrs. Chino and a small girl in her arms.

Who was she?

She didn't look like Mrs. Chino at all.

"That's my older brother's little girl." Mrs. Chino piped up, making Yu jump and snap his head towards Mrs. Chino who was looking at the picture as well. "Adorable isn't she? She's going to be four in a couple months. I love her to death."

"She's cute, she's reminds me of my cousin, although she's older then her."

"Is that so, it sounds like you have a strong bond with her. Well, you lived with your family for a year, correct? Well I guess it would be unnatural is that wasn't the case." Mrs. Chino offered, as Yu nodded slowly before looking back at Mrs. Chino, something finally hitting him.

"W-why are you being so nice to me? Before, you hated me wherever I stood, so why now?" Mrs. Chino looked down and sighed, pulling out her cleaning cloth for her glasses as she wiped them down. Yu waited as it seemed Mrs. Chino was gathering her strength.

"Before you came along, I was having these dreams. Well, no, they're weren't dreams. They didn't feel like dreams, but every night at midnight, I would wake out of my dream slumber, turn on the television and push my hand through before being sucked up." Yu's eyes widen, it took everything to not jump to his feet in surprise. Seeing Yu's disbelief expression, Mrs. Chino coughed before going on with her small tale, "A-anyway, I was caught in a dark tower and no matter how much I ran, looked for a way to escape, I was already trapped. I saw people I cared and loved being killed by these shadow creatures and there wasn't a thing I could do. This would happen night after night, and when I didn't think it would ever stop… I would say, probably the day you arrived, that night I had a dream that you saved me, using some mystical power. I-I was so angry, here I was struggling to break free but someone had to save me, someone I didn't even know. When I saw you that first day, I just couldn't believe it and I allowed my actions to overcome my good judgement." She looked down at Yu's paper before, snapping the top of the pen back on, setting it down on the table. She crossed her legs and arms, but her whole nature, the aura that used to whip around her was gone and replaced with a calmer light, a fluid energy almost. "I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me, Mr. Narukami." Yu was stunned, she went into the Midnight Channel before, but it leads to Tartarus. Just what was going on?!

"Mrs. Chino," There was a pause but she straightened herself up and nodded,

"Yes?"

"I forgive you." She let out a sigh of relief almost as a chuckle almost left his lips,

"Thank you."

"Mrs. Chino-" However, before Yu got to finish the lights in the school went out.

"What the-?" She gasped startled as she wasn't the only one. Yu leaped onto his feet with Mrs. Chino not too far behind,

"What's going on?"

"Do they usually do this?"

"Here? No, that's why I leave my doors open for tutoring until eight. The school janitors don't come around until eight-thirty or nine. Mr. Narukami, stay here, I'm going to take a quick look around." Yu's eyes widen but he quickly shook his head,

"Are you sure, I think we should go together just in case, I don't want something bad happening to you." Mrs. Chino blinked but nodded,

"Alright, but stay close to me and do everything I tell you, no matter what the situation, okay?"

"I understand." Yu agreed as Mrs. Chino went and grabbed a large flashlight before they went out together.

"Let's take a look around the school to make sure no one else but us is here," Mrs. Chino suggested as they walked through the school, calling out,

"Is anyone here?"

"Hello? Hello?!"

However, their cries went unheard.

"Maybe we should go down to the basement and flip the switch." Yu offered once they wondered back to the front of the school.

"Yes, I'll leave a note for the janitors about them getting someone properly certified to fix that. Let's go check it out, then I'll come back and finish up grading your paper, so we can both go home at a reasonable time. Sound good?" Yu nodded once again as they headed down to the basement.

Yu was getting an uneasy feeling the closer they got to the basement floor, although getting the power on didn't take any difficult work. After Mrs. Chino flipped the switched, bright lights blinded the both of them as Mrs. Chino let out a child-like groan.

"Ow…"

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah, it's alright, let's just go back up." Within the span of an hour, Yu found himself with a freshly corrected paper, and standing outside of the front of the school with Mrs. Chino, having a light conversation of questions he had about the corrections.

"Thanks, I think that's all the questions I have."

"Great, it was really good, and I'm looking forward to your final product." When both turned to walk away from the school, the glass doors shattered, followed a powerful ear shattering wail. Yu and Mrs. Chino was quick to put their hand to cover their ears, before a long, limber black rubber hand wrapped itself around Mrs. Chino before being sucked into the school, hitting the stairs before being swallowed up by the school,

What the hell?!

"Mrs. Chino!" Yu shouted before rushing back into the school, pulling out his cellphone, but before he had a chance to call for help, his phone rung, "H-hello?"

"Yu where are you at right now?" Minato calmly asked over the phone, trying to gather what he could from Yu. Wasn't Minato connected to Tartarus is some way?

"The school! My teacher, Mrs. Chino had been taken by a shadow, I think. In any case, why is the school active with shadows right now? It's not even midnight!"

"I know! Go after your teacher, Jitsuko and I will be there shortly! Hurry!"

"Right! You guys hurry too! IZANAGI!" His persona appeared in a wild electric charge of fury, cutting down the oncoming shadows as Yu allowed himself to go deeper and deeper into the school, only for him to find himself back in the basement. Throwing down the double doors to the second part of the basement, there Mrs. Chino was, a bit bruised but wasn't too hurt as she was on laying on the ceiling of the basement, covered in what it seemed to be hardened tar. When their eyes met, Mrs. Chino was screaming against her gag of the black tar over her lips. "Don't worry, I'm going to get you out!" The closer Yu got the more she started to scream, thrashing in her hold before the tar gag finally came off her lips,

"BEHIND YOU!" The next thing Yu knew, he was slammed into the wall, Izanagi barely had time to block the actual blow of the attack rather than aura of power the shadow monster had. It was a large shadow knight on a horse, covered in black and white, the whine of the horse shook the ground as the free hand from the knight reached up and grabbed Mrs. Chino who screamed. "LET ME GO!" Slamming her on the ground, Yu saw blood being coughed up as the shadow ready it's sword,

"NO–!" Time seemed to slow down as there was a sound of something breaking.

"The Chariot Arcana shall be aiding you soon…" Yu held his breath, could it be?

Chariot Arcana…

A mysterious voice suddenly filled rings in Yu's head,

"Thou shalt have our blessing when thou chooseth to create Personas of the Chariot Arcana… thy powers thou shalt all need breathes closer to the truth…"

Suddenly a blue light surround Mrs. Chino was it engulfed her as the shadow screeched in back as it pulled back. The horse lets out a cry as sand is suddenly whipped up in the room. Izanagi standing in front of Yu to protect him the best he could as a large claws reached out, before slamming it to the ground in front of Mrs. Chino. Yet, soon after beautiful wings the tips covered with rich thick prime colors as lion's roar poured out from the sand pit. Not even leaving a moment to spare, a commanding smooth voice filled the air,

"Thou art I! And I am thou! I am those to protects thy passage way of knowledge and thee deeps of original sin! I am the being called Ishanvi Sphinx! By protect thy master until the end, I shall bring corruption and devastation…!" Yu gasped, and he quickly covered his eyes as Ishanvi Sphinx appeared, flying from the depts. to protect Mrs. Chino. To put it in simple terms, Ishanvi Sphinx was a sphinx, although the beautiful female head that rested upon the lion's body was simply breathtaking. Long flowing cool sand color locks, pointed ears, with necklaces of bones she had eaten and kept in a previous life. To finish off the look she was large, powerful and thin, yet elegant, it also had glasses to match, that rested on her face.

"I-Ishanvi!" Mrs. Chino cried out, as her persona roared again, suddenly healing not only her but Yu as well. The sand wrapped around the shadow as Mrs. Chino quickly got out of the way before it being dragged into the sand pit, "ISHANVI!" Mrs. Chino shouted again before spikes flared out from the sand bit instantly destroying the shadow.

"Yu!" Jitsuko shouted as Minato and her rushed in ready to fight. While had his usual sword, Jitsuko had a long yet elegant spear. Where did they get those? Yu quickly went over to Mrs. Chino side before Ishanvi blocked his path, growling at him. Yu quickly held up his hands to show that he didn't mean no harm, however Mrs. Chino placed a hand on Ishanvi,

"It's okay. He, they are all friends."

"Come on let's get out of here and somewhere safe." Minato offered as the rest nodded. Leaning on Yu, Mrs. Chino was safe and the rest left.

After getting to Jitsuko's temple and cleaning up the rest of the wounds and cuts both Yu and Mrs. Chino shared, Yu and Minato explained the situation to Mrs. Chino and explained her Persona powers. After about a good ten minutes of silences, Mrs. Chino finally nodded and said,

"Well, even if I didn't want to – I would be stuck with this. I rather give you guys any and all aid that I can."

"Thank you, your efforts will be welcomed. Let's all give proper introductions." Jitsuko offered as the boys nodded, held up his hand, a gesture showing that he was going to go first.

"My name is Arisato Minato, my two main persona are Thanatos and Orpheus Telos."

"Please call me Jitsuko, my main persona is Sakura no Kurisutaruskuaru."

"My name is Narukami Yu, my main persona is Izanagi. And, we all would like to welcome you."

"Thank you." Picking up the tea that Jitsuko served over an hour ago and was still lukewarm, Mrs. Chino took a sip before bowing her head,

"My name is Riko Chino. My main persona is Ishanvi Sphinx and thank you for allowing me to be of some services."

Around eleven was when the Jitsuko temple was quiet. Minato and Yu had left and Mrs. Chino agreed to stay the night so Jitsuko could look after the rest of her injuries. Finally having a moment to pray, she lit the final candle before sitting down on a white pillow as a light wind from the cold air sounded the wind chimes. Everything was going well throughout her light chant before-

CRACK!

"AH!?" Snapped back she saw that the large fire bit snapped at her. Why? It's never done that before! What was the cause of-!?

Jitsuko didn't even have to finish the though before a thick fog surround her and a two voices, two dark chuckle filled the air,

"My, my… it seems final that the team has arrived…"

"Although the links are not complete… two more. Two more!" That dark chuckles turned low before it disappeared, along with the fog not too far behind. Jitsuko was frozen on the spot. Who were that?! From that she could gather, it seemed like they were watching the group. Unable to do anything know, scared that the voice might pop up in case she tried to do something. Jitsuko decided to pray a bit longer than usual and set up charms around Mrs. Chino room.

Mrs. Chino was worn out from summoning her persona, Jitsuko wasn't going to let her get hurt.

"Congratulations by awaking the Chariot Arcana… the bond between you and it has never been stronger. You have a very unique Chariot Arcana on your side, don't be afraid to use it to its full potential."

"Thank you, Margaret." She smiled before brushing her hair behind her ear,

"Now you shall establish a bond with the Temperance, followed by the Hang-man Arcana." Yu's lips tugged at a frown,

"Will they be Persona users as well?"

"No, you just form that bond you lost. That's all. In the end, it shall make you and your team stronger, even if it doesn't seem like it at first."

"You've been a great deal of help… I don't know how much I can thank you."

"There is really no need. However, I do have something to warn you. It appeared as I was looking through you're the links you've created. Two strong evil source is coming from that school, please be careful as you four continue into the school."

"Great, I have to go now, but I'll pass on the information."

"Quite wise." Yu rose a brow to her words, but didn't question her on it. With a final wave Yu left Margaret, who waved in return.

And that's it. I hope you all enjoyed this chapter. Thanks for reading. Please review, tell me what I can improve on and what not. I love you all, bye for now!
