Special thanks to: Autobotgirl2234, mfaerie32, Francesca3234, Sukai Skye, December Sapphire, sweetcountry1210, inuyasha4life17thesequel, jessiedancer, Angeldolphin01, KneeSan and th65loverinuy620jd for reviewing! I freaking, fucking lub you guys!

I don't own Inuyasha at all. If I did I'd have Sesshoumaru as my protective, cuddly bigbrother and Inuyasha would do my every bidding. As for Kikyou she would be burning in Hell where she belongs!

Chapter 10: DaiYoukai Rage

The animals of the forest all covered in the fear as the furious snarl of one angry DaiYoukai teared through the thick forest undergrowth with a furious look in his golden eyes, and his claws ready to rip through anything that stood in his way of direction. The Miko, Kikyou, had given him the direction of the village where Inuyasha resided, although she had been hesitating when he wouldn't tell her what he was going to do once he got there.

'I am going to rip out his guts, and then I'll make him wear them!' the furious DaiYoukai roared in his mind as he slammed a low branch on a tree aside so violently that it was flung through the air, and it then landed a good fifty meters away from him.

'A proper Mate never leaves his child and Intended even if it for the sake of their safety! A real man stands up and faces the danger!'

The DaiYoukai continued roaring in anger as he took it out on his surroundings, while obscene words flew like water from his mouth. Somewhere inside his mind he held on to his sanity, together with the information on where the village his delinquent of a son was living in was located, but just because he was residing in a village didn't mean that he would go easy on the idiotic brat.

He dashed through a few bushes, and then stopped dead in his tracks when he saw a small gathering of wooden houses down a hill. As he watched the small figures of the village's inhabitants he smelled a scent he would know anywhere. It was the scent of a child.

All children - demon or not - basically smelled the same, but this scent was different. This was the same scent as Kikyou's, but a bit lighter without the trail of death and graveyard soil that clung to her like clothes to a wet body. The scent was also mixed with... demonic blood, although very faint. He began moving through the thick forest until his ghostly form was hidden by the shadow of a great oak-tree, close to where the scent came from. Before him in a little clearing were two persons. A young-looking demon with silver hair like his own, and dressed in a red robe the Inu no Taisho was sure that he remembered from somewhere but he didn't remember everything about it. The other person was a little girl, no more than five to six years old, with black hair and golden eyes. It had been her scent he had smelled, but that wasn't what surprised the Inu no Taisho. The surprise was that her face was almost the same as Izayoi's had been. The big and bright eyes, the gentle expression always present on her face... it was like seeing his deceased wife again.

"Alright then, it's decided! You are gonna teach me about demons!" the girl exclaimed, and the DaiYoukai watched as the young male half-demon stiffened.

Inuyasha looked at his daughter with wide eyes as he tried wrapping his head around what she just had said. She wanted him to teach her about demons. Oh, fucking, joy... he was so screwed if Kagome ever heard that this conversation had taken place.

"No way, kid. Kagome's gonna skin me alive if she finds out that I'm teaching you about demons."

Inuyasha shook his head wildly after crossing his arms to try and get the point across, while glaring down at the dark-haired girl.

"But why not?"

"I ain't risking my hide because you wanna know more about demons, brat!"

"You... you BAKA!"

"Well aren't you original! Try something I've never heard before, kid!"

"Hell no!"

"Oi! Don't you start swearing! Your mother's gonna kill me for real if she hears you say that!"

"You can't tell me what to do! You are not my Papa!"

"Well tough shit, brat, 'cause I actually am!"

"Oh shu-... wait what?"

Inuyasha froze on the spot when he realized what he just had said, and then he began focusing on Saki who seemed to have stopped breathing, if that even was possible.

"Papa..." she muttered as she stared into the air before her with empty eyes, but she didn't move. She was frozen by a force stronger than anything she had ever felt before. It made her chest hurt like something was trying to get out of it from the inside, but she didn't know how to get her pent-up frustration out. Without as much as a whimper she turned around and ran in the direction of where Shippou had disappeared, leaving Inuyasha behind who immediately foresaw his impending doom approaching him in great speed.

'Oh, fuck me!'

Kagome looked at the small hut before her with a big smile.

"It's perfect, Kaede-obaasan. But... are you sure about letting us live here?"

Kaede looked at Kagome with gentle eyes, and assured her with a hand on her arm and a warm smile coating her lips.

"Child, it is most pleasurable to have you back here. You can stay here for as long as you desire." the old woman said, smile still on her face, before she let her old eyes look out towards the forest.

"Onee-sama had been acting strangely as of late. She has spent more time away from the village than helping it, Kagome-chan, and I am truly glad that ye are back, child. Would you mind helping me with the duties of being a Miko?"

"I would be honored, Kaede-obaasan."

Kagome then let her eyes wander around in the area, and they locked onto the start of the forest.

"Saki hasn't come back yet. It's going to get dark soon." the Miko muttered as her blue eyes narrowed slightly while trying to look past the thick forest, but to no avail.

"Shippou went with her earlier, didn't he? I'm sure that she's fine." Kaede said softly, and then began walking back to the village with Kagome right behind her.

"I know, Kaede-obaasan, but still... I don't like leaving her alone after what happened in my own time. If anyone took her from me, I would be devastated." Kagome muttered as she clenched her hands at the thought of Houjo, who right now probably was buried six feet under, not that she was complaining.

As the sun began making its way down towards the treetops, Kagome felt her heart clench uncomfortably. Saki had yet to get home, the same with Shippou, and it was freaking the Miko out, despite having more than enough to help Kaede with in her hut.

"Why is it that Kikyou disappears every now and then, Kaede-obaasan? You mentioned it earlier, but I didn't really understand what you meant." Kagome asked, and heard Kaede sigh heavily before the old woman turned around and looked at the younger woman with eyes full of sorrow.

"Onee-sama and I have not been in agreement regarding several things as of late, and I suspect that she disappears from time to time so she can uncover much knowledge that should be left untouched."

"What are you talking about, Kaede-obaasan?"

Kaede looked straight into Kagome's blue eyes as she answered the girl's question.

"She wishes to be alive once again. She is studying Necromancy."

Inuyasha dashed through the forest as quickly as he could, but there was no trace whatsoever that told him where Saki might be.

"Hey kid, where are you? Sound off!"

The forest was as quiet as it could come, with nothing but birds looking down at him with their beady black eyes for a few seconds before they took off, and left him alone in the forest where Saki quite possibly was hiding somewhere.

"Saki!"

...

"Damn. I'm done for if I don't get her home." Inuyasha whispered as he once again tried locating her, but with his weakened senses it was difficult. There was a faint trail that led towards the river, but it had stopped a few feet from the shore so the only thing that could have happened was that she had jumped from where the footprints stopped... and right into the river.

"Oh fuck... Kagome's gonna kill me!"
