SO. I've received reviews on how Red and the other dexholders don't know much on the other regions and how they should 'research'(example: didn't know what a Sylveon was.). Simply put, Sylveon is a Kalosian pokémon. They are aware of pokémon from Unova due to Black and White, but anything from Kalos is basically a region they don't know of yet, thus unaware of the pokémon from that region.

Along with that, another question that was asked was that, if Kalos pokémon are going to be in the story, if X and Y will take place in it too. The characters, X and Y, will not be in this story. I haven't even got to the BW2 arc yet, so you probably shouldn't expect Lack-Two or Whi-Two either.

So! In conclusion: The dexholders are ignorant of Kalos and it's pokémon, know of Unova but are unaware of all the pokémon and their abilities, and Lack-Two, Whi-Two, X, and Y will not appear in the entire series.

Thank you~!

Chapter 10

"It's a Zoroark." White explained. "It's specialty is illusion. It can usually create an illusion into anyone or anything it wants, as well as mimicking human speech. A pretty amazing pokémon, native only- and even this is rare- in Unova."

"You're pretty amazing yourself." Jade commented, placing a hand on her hip. "Completely incompetent when it comes to catching pokémon, but I've never heard of someone seeing through a Zoroarks illusions."

"So Yellow is fine?" Red asked.

"Of course she is." Jade said. "I already told you, I have no reason to harm her, plus, and might I remind you with the confirmation of Platinum, Pearl, and Dia," she smirked. "She came with us willingly." She turned her attention back to White. "What's you title?" White blinked.

"Eh?"

"You know, Red the Fighter, Yellow the Healer, all that." she waved her hand dismissively. "What's yours?"

"I don't have one..." White said slowly. Jade blinked.

"You're a dexholder." she said slowly. "But you don't have a title...?" she stood there for a moment. "I suppose it isn't exactly relevant, and it's not like I care, but I think you should be known as the Detector." she finally said. "White the Detector. Does that have a nice ring to it?"

"Did you just give me a title?" White asked. Jade blinked.

"Sure." Jade said nothing for a moment. "So, White the Detector, I want to talk to you more. See if you can find us."

"Why don't you just kidnap her like you did Yellow?" Black suddenly asked. Jade sighed.

"So quick to judge, you and your friends. It," she turned her head to him. "Annoys me. Immensely. I will not say I'm a saint, but it's not like I'm evil to the core. If I was, you'd all be dead." she smirked. "And I could. Freezing to death is a very slow, agonizing way to die, you know."

"You're a sociopath." Green said.

"A sociopath? That's a manipulative person with no social conscious or moral responsibility, right?" she sighed. "I accept the responsibility for what I did. I'll also accept my punishment if those moronic detectives can catch me. Does that make me arrogant? Perhaps. But you guys think your lives are so fucking hard 'cause your dexholders. Well get this, those stupid detectives you're working with? They've been chasing me and Onyx for, oh? Maybe six years now? No, my mistake, it's seven."

"You're making fun of us, aren't you?" Blue stated with a steely glare.

"Am I making you mad? I apologize, I would've assumed tricking the almighty dexholders should've been enough to set you off. But, then again, it is rather fun to rub it in your faces." she turned to Red. "Since I tricked you with the Zoroark illusion, does that make me the winner, or can was just have a rematch, no strings attached?"

"The next day I see you," Red growled out. "Is you being carted off in handcuffs by Kristoff and Andrew." she smirked.

"Yet your leader still thinks he's smarter than me. So, Mr. Fighter, if you can catch me, then I'll accept my punishment. But after this, you'll barely catch glimpses of me, let alone another conversation." her face dropped for a moment, suddenly looking quite bored with the situation.

"I will say, White's ability caught my attention, but now I'm bored. Your baseless accusations and judgements bore me. Taunting you was fun, but now I'm leaving. Zoro, use Thief. And please, try not to kill him."

Zoroark grinned wickedly as it stared at Red for a moment. Then he burst forward in an amazing amount of speed, snatched Red's bag then punched him in the face. Red tumbled back in surprise, holding his jaw in pain as Zoroark doubled back. Jade took the bag from Zoroark and dug through it a bit. Triumphantly, she pulled out a belt with pokéballs on it. It dangled from her fingers before she clasped her fist around it.

"Hey you guys," she said, as if speaking to the pokéballs."

"T-Those are Yellows! Give them back!" Red exclaimed angrily. Jade looked up at him, bored.

"Yellow missed them. See? I didn't come here to simply taunt you and battle you, I'm doing a favor for Yellow." she casually tossed a pokéball into the air, an Espeon coming out. "We're leaving." she stated. The Zoroark blinked, then moved back towards her. Jade returned it to a pokéball. "Esmeralda, Teleport."

"H-Hold up!" White suddenly exclaimed. Jade cast her a glimpse of her, then turned away as she became enveloped in light and disappeared.

Jade appeared on the outskirts of Saffron City, then slowly walked into the city. It was bustling with nightlife, and she could hear people stumbling about, drunk or high, she supposed. Esmeralda let out a low growl of her name, reaching up with her tail and wrapping it around her trainers wrists. Jade shook her hand free then picked the pokémon up.

"See for me, Esmeralda." she muttered into the pokémons ear. The Espeon mewed slightly, then images flashed in front of her blind eyes as the pictures were sent via telepathy. "Pokémon Center. We need to heal our friends." Espeon mewed again and images flashed. Jade followed her pokémons directions, then walked into the center.

"Good evening!" The nurse called out joyfully. "You sure are out late."

"Mm." Jade responded.

"Would you like us to heal your pokémon?" the nurse asked cheerfully.

"All but her." Jade said, giving her all the pokéballs she had on hand, including Zoro, but holding Esmeralda. Nurse Joy smiled as she put the pokéballs onto the machine. She frowned slightly as she looked over the healing process.

"Oh, my." she said. "You must've battled someone strong." she smiled, turning back to Jade. "Perhaps the Champion, Red?"

"Hn." Jade answered. Jade heard her stumbling back, as if surprised.

"That was a joke, miss." she said. "You're supposed to laugh?" Jade furrowed her eyebrows.

"I see." she stated. "Haha." she said. The nurse flinched.

"Anyways, they're pretty tired." she said, turning to the machine to avoid the gaze of the strange teenager. "This may take a while."

"I see." she stated again. There was a long drawn out pause as Jade continued to, in the nurses perspective, stare intently ahead.

"Uh, miss?"

"What." Jade demanded. It was not a question, but a demand. A statement. The nurse flinched, her smile faltering.

"Did you really battle Red?" Jade glared. The nurse flinched again. "N-Never mind."

The next morning did not go well.

Everyone was tired and grouchy, and as of now, seemed to be choosing sides. It was the either the Trust Jade and Onyx side or the Hunt Jade and Onyx side. Red was leading the latter while White was bent on proving former. Everyone else, while leaning towards one side or the other, was caught somewhere in the middle, and simply watched as senior and junior argued.

"She tricked us White!"

"She tricked you Red!" White exclaimed. "I saw through it!"

"She stole Yellow's pokéballs!"

"For Yellow's happiness! You've seen her pokémon! You fought them!"

"Doesn't mean she can't give 'em to Onyx!"

"Who battled Onyx?" White asked, whipping her head in the direction of the seated dexholders. Gold raised his hand lazily.

"He was about on par with us. Beat us, just barely." he said. "Now can you stop this-"

"She has no reason to give them to Onyx or to keep them!"

"What if she sells them, huh?"

"Why?" White drew out the word. "She's giving it to Yellow! She said so herself!"

"Yeah, but she also said that if I beat her then she's give me Yellow back, and it was a trick!"

"Well, you didn't beat her!"

"Are you really so naive to trust her?"

"Are you really so naive to trust those detectives?" White shot back. "I know about the enemies you fought, and I believe they were all adults!"

"Don't think so high and mighty of her because she gave you a title White!"

"And don't think so high and mighty of those detectives because they have a couple of police badges!"

"Stop!" Green said, slamming his hands down on the coffee table, startling everyone. The two arguing dexholders promptly shut up while everyone else turned to him He glared at Red and White over his laptop. "You're arguing is leading us nowhere! Wether or not you trust them or not, is your choice. Red, just because we're all dexholders and you're the leader does not mean that we have to agree with every word you say. You aren't exactly in a stable state of mind right now. I know you're stressed. I know you're worried. I know you're angry. Calm down, get something to eat, drink some coffee, and clear your head."

He turned to White.

"White, I understand you have the ability to see through acting. If you can see through this illusionary pokémon, Zoroark, then we should perhaps take your word for it when you say wether or not to trust someone. Regardless, your arguing is only making things worse. While for whatever reason you trust them, that is your choice, and you are entitled to it. But you are not entitled to trying to force your opinion onto others. If you can give us tangible proof that Jade and Onyx are trustworthy other than your gut instinct, then maybe we'll listen and be more accepting of your case." he paused. "Now grow up and act your age, and maybe then I'll share the information I found."

Red and White looked at each other, then sat down calmly. Green sighed, then turned his laptop towards them. On the screen, they saw a picture of the unknown pokémon that Jade used.

"That's the pokémon she called Sylvia, right?" Blue asked.

"Yes." Green answered. "It's called a Sylveon. It's a fairy type. Apparently," he turned the laptop back around. "It's a new type discovered in the Kalos region. Not much is known about it, and research shows there may be others, and pokémon may even be retyped into this new segment."

"You mean like Magnamite when the steel-type was discovered?" Crystal asked.

"Yes. Apparently Gardevoir and its evolution line and Jigglypuff and it's evolution line are included in this retyping." his eyes scanned the page. "Fairy attacks are super effective against dragon types, fighting types, and dark types. Dragon types do not effect fairies. Bug types, dark types, and fighting types are not very effective. Steel and poison are super effective. Fire is resistant to fairies."

"So after that brief lesson on type matchups," Black, said, glancing up from his notebook in which he was briefly taking notes. "Did you get anything on Jade or Onyx?"

"That was the hard part." Green said, pulling up another file. "I actually had to work a little. First I typed in Jade Ishi, her full name, but I got over a million hits, most of them completely random. I typed in some other words-blind, blond, eeveelution trainer, stuff of the sort- and more random hits. Turned out that there was an article, but it was blocked. A few simple clicks though and I was able to pull it up." he turned the laptop around again, showing a newspaper article.

"Tragic Accident At Happla Ridge." Ruby read.

"A family of three were driving along Happla Ridge, a little off the road of Happla Town. A family, consisting of father, contest star Alonzo Ishi, mother, duel-type battler Olive Ishim and aspiring eeveelution trainer, age nine, Jade Ishi." Platinum read. Her hands covered her mouth as she read over the next. The family was run off the ridge in a hit and run accident. No members of the family were found, nor were any bodies found. A search is still taking place for the Ishi family."

"This article was written about seven years ago." Green said. "Now if you searched a little deeper..." he pulled up another page. "This was also blocked by the Tolerin government, and it actually tried to kick me off. Thankfully I managed to get the article before anything could happen."

"Today, Roberto Andrews, 45, came forward and confessed to running the Ishi family off the cliff." Platinum continued. "His claim was that he saw the daughter using magic to freeze the water fountain in Happla Town. Convinced that she was a witch, he ran the trio off the road, the family walking on foot, tumbling over the ridge. He screamed over the edge for them to use their magic to save themselves, but realized that what he did was wrong and he had to hide the evidence. He continued to climb down the cliff only to see the child breathing, but bleeding profusely from the head.

"He could not tell if Alonzo or Olive were unconscious or dead, so he shoved their bodies into the sea. He then scooped up Jade and took her back to his residence. There he kept her for a year to see if the 'power' she had could be used again. Apparently, it never resurfaced. After a search warrant on all of Andrews property and acquaintances but Jade was never found. The bodies of Alonzo or Olive were never found, and it is assumed that Jade is dead."

"Well that explains the lack of emotion..." Silver muttered.

"It's horrible..." Blue said. "Seriously?! Powers?! I mean, I know that Yellow can heal, but that guy had to be delusional!"

"Wait." Platinum said, reading over the article again. "Senior Red, do you remember the case files of Jade and Onyx?"

"Hm? Yeah." Red answered.

"It stated that Jade's parents may have abandoned her after a 'tragic car accident'. Well, according to this article, they were murdered." a long silence.

"What about Onyx?" Red asked.

"I tried. All articles related to Tolerin is blocked by the Tolerin region police force. I'm assuming both are from there, and I was lucky just to get some information on Jade."

"But that little information is relevant." Crystal said. "It proves something."

"They were lying to us." White whispered, but said nothing else. Red glanced at the clock.

"I'm sorry, White." he finally said. "Maybe you were right on a couple things. I don't know why they hid this from us, because both abandonment and murder is equally traumatizing, but we need to be careful now. But now that I'm admitting that these detectives, Kristoff and Andrew, aren't exactly trustworthy does not mean that I'm going to throw my hands up and trust Jade and Onyx." he paused. "The detectives want to discuss our 'findings' in fifteen minutes. Should we tell them about the battles?"

"I vote no." Platinum said. "I believe it would be smart to at least withhold the information until they tell us what they found. Agreed?"

A nod of rounds confirmed their decision.

"Jade!" Yellow awoke to Onyx yelling, and she jerked awake. She realized she fell asleep in the chair, and blinked in confusion as she looked around. Her eyes landed on the clock. It was four in the morning. She whipped her head around and saw Onyx with his hands on Jade's shoulders, grinning. Jade moved the hood to her vest down, returning Esmeralda to a pokéball. "Arceus! You were gone all night! I was sure they got you!"

"Calm down." Jade said, brushing him off. "I made a pitstop at Saffron to heal up, then I couldn't sleep."

"I could've just healed your pokémon for you." Yellow said.

"No, save it for Hope." she said. She sat down on the couch, closing her eyes.

"How'd you fair against Red?" Yellow asked. Jade opened her eyes.

"Tied."

"Eh?" Yellow asked. She wasn't sure if she heard right. Red was the strongest trainer she knew! There was no way someone could match him!

"We tied. Flash verses Pika, Flare Blitz verses Volt Tackle, both fell."

"I see..." Yellow mumbled.

"Oh, and I brought you something." Jade said, holding up a belt. Yellow recognized it immediately. She tossed it to her, and Yellow grabbed it, staring at in surprise. Almost immediately, a pokéball burst open.

"Chuchu!" she exclaimed as she buried her nose in the pikachu's fur. "Chuchu!" she felt tears forming around her eyes. "Chuchu..." she mumbled. Chuchu growled out her name happily. Yellow looked up at Jade. "But... why?"

"Think about it." Jade huffed out. "I don't care if you use them against us. I would be devastated if I was separated from my pokémon for two long. I know you share a close bond with them, so be thankful."

"Hey, Jade, do you wanna eat something? You haven't eaten since breakfast." Onyx suggested.

"No. I'm going to sleep. We'll get up at six and then work on making some money for supplies."

"Making money? Like battling?" Yellow asked.

"No, more like street performances." Onyx grinned. "After all, we are in Celadon City!"

Can you feel it, make it real. I think it might wash away tonight. Awaken from this never ending fight. It takes more than meets the eye.
