"I can assure you, if you ever lay a finger on them again, you will not live to see another one of your precious football games. Good day Thomas." Sherlock slammed to door. Idiot. Did he really think he could get away with that? One quick glance at the kitchen and Sherlock could say Tom was responsible for at least eight cases of domestic abuse. When Tom threatened to call the police, Sherlock gladly did it for him. After a quick talk with the officers and a few threats to Tom, Sherlock was gone. It's was almost three in the morning and Sherlock knew if he didn't get back to Molly's flat and clean up his experiments before she woke up, it wouldn't be good. Sherlock quietly closed the door the flat, hoping Molly hadn't woken up.
"HEY SHERLOCK IS THIS ACID, BECAUSE IT SAYS ACID ON IT SO I THINK IT'S ACID." Sherlock jumped and spun around to see Henry sitting on the table, holding a test tube full of blue liquid. He quickly ran over and grabbed the test tube because it was, in fact, acid.
"Shhhhh, Henry be quiet." Sherlock whispered
"You didn't say please mum says you have to say please it's on my manners chart, and if you don't say it you won't get a stickers for your my manners chart then you won't get ice cream."
Sherlock sighed, "Fine. Please be quiet."
"See now you get a sticker." Henry whispered. "And why do I have to be quiet?"
"Molly can't know I'm doing experiments, if she does I will mostly likely not be in your house anymore." Sherlock explained while cleaning up the chemicals that were strewn around the kitchen. "And shouldn't you be asleep?"
"You can't call her Molly you have to call her your mum because everyone calls her your mum when they talk to me." He paused. "Please. See now I get a sticker. It's Saturday so I don't have school tomorrow. Plus I can't fall asleep." He pointed at his head. "There's too much stuff up there. Do you every get to much stuff in your head?" "I used to, until I made I mind palace." "Can you show me how to make a mind plate?"
"Palace." Sherlock went to lie down on the couch, and set his head on the tips of his fingers. Henry followed him to the couch and sat on Sherlock. "First, I need you to imagine a place you like, or feel comfortable in." Henry scrunched up his face, trying to think
"The morgue where my mum works" Sherlock opened an eye to looked at him.
"The morgue?"
"Yeah sometimes I go there when there isn't dead people, it smells nice and it's quiet."
Sherlock smirked. "Ok now I need you to think of important things, and give them each their own space."
"I can't think of anything important." "Just start off with your family and friends." "Ok so mum, she gets to have her office because it has her name on the desk. Uncle Greg gets the hallway because he's there a lot. Sally and Mr. Anderson get the bathroom because they go there sometimes. Uncle John and Aunt Mary can have the closet because mum found them there once. And Uncle Mycroft can have the dead person holder."
"Uncle Mycroft?"
"Yeah he's nice he gives me presents and watches Doctor Who with me. He says he's fond of me too."
Ha. Was Mycroft experiencing sentiment? Sherlock couldn't help but to laugh a little before he noticed Henry staring at him. "Ok so now you add things you want to remember about them to their rooms. It's going to take a while." Henry closed his eyes.
"Okay."
Five minutes went by.
Then ten.
"Henry?" Sherlock asked.
"Shush I'm working. Please."
Sherlock wandered around his mind palace for about an hour.
Molly got up and went to work.
Henry still sat on Sherlock, eyes closed, refusing to move. Sherlock heard his phone buzz. "Ok, you're moving." He picked up Henry and set him down on the other side of the couch and got up to check his phone.
Let's play a game Sherlock, you know how much I love games. -M
There was a picture with it, Sherlock opened the picture. It's was a picture of Molly's flat from the side, through her window you could see Sherlock laying on the couch. Henry sat on top of him with his eyes closed, three glowing red dots on his chest.
Your move. -M
