Operation Mongoose Part 2

"I Love you." I said to her ans she turned her face toward the sound. This was all the magic I have left. The only magic the Author did not strip me of and I used it to make sure Regina didn't forget me. "This is the only peace I get, being here with you. come find me soon." I whispered as I felt her slipping away to consciousness.

My eyes sting with tears and she reached her hand out to stroke my hair which is tangled and matted. "How?"

She was waking. I had to be quick. "Snow's got me." Then she was gone...

I came back to being stuck in that tower. On a stupid prison island guarded by, of all people, Lily. She remembers the other world too. She also remembers she's kind of mad at me and she doesn't take it easy on me either.

I don't know how long it had been. Time just seemed to blend in on this island, but I was hopeful that one of these days Regina would try to save me. After All she is a hero now.

The door to my cell opened. and as I turned there was a gasp at the door. "Mom!" Henry screamed and ran toward me.

"Henry!" I said and wrapped my arms around my son. It was hard with the chains on my wrists. Regina came forward and unlocked my chains. I looked at her eyes, They were… not as unfamiliar as I expected them to be. I expected her not to know me. but she Knew me, intimately. Though it wasn't quite the same as before, her love was still there I could see it. "You came for me." I whispered to her.

Her lips twitched a little, not quite a smile, but close enough. It was the thing she did when she didn't really know what to think. "I had no choice. Henry would never have let me rest."

Henry stiffened and slid out of my arms. "gross… let's get out of here." He heading toward the door.

He was right, and I pulled myself out of my thoughts of the woman before me. "Yeah we have to go." I said leading the way out of the cell.

"There's a guard at the door we should knock her or him out and cover you with that armor." Regina said following me. She was right that we should think of a way to get past Lily, but There was no way.

"That won't matter."

"Why not?" Regina asked.

"That's no ordinary guard, we need to get the hell out of here." We walked as silently as we could. Lily spotted us. and I rushed her to use the element of surprise. I knocked her off balance and ran with Henry and Regina to the edge of a low cliff and we jumped into the water.

"Do you need a hand?" I heard when I surfaced and I smiled at the ladder and grabbed a hold of Henry. I helped both he, and Regina Up the ladder and scrambled up. I threw my arms around Killian.

"Thank you." I whispered to him.

"We are being chased by an angry guard, can we go?" Regina said walking between Hook and I. I smirked but didn't have time to think about her reaction, because I heard Lily raise a fuzz on the island.

"How fast can we make this thing go?" I said and all of us got to work.

I think Regina was impressed with my sword skills. Or maybe my fearless stupidity using a sword to wound my old friend Lily. I watched the horizon for her after she fell Hoping she would stay where she was and I could get on solid ground again.

I felt someone get closer to me. That old familiar tug of heartstrings, I could feel her draw to me as if it were an actual solid string tying us together. She placed a hand on my shoulder, And I could feel the remembered remnants of dreams in every flexion of her fingers on my muscles. "What is this thing?" She whispered to me.

"It's true love Regina." I answered. "Love so true that we created life without ever really touching."I placed my hand on my stomach my missing little girl. another child lost to this cruel world of magic and curses.

I turned to face her and she reached out a hand to move a lock of blond hair on my face. "You should kiss." Henry said from his perch next to Killian. We turned to look at him. "It could change everything."

"Henry I don't know how I feel. Until this morning your mother was just a dream to me." Regina answered then looked back at me. "I'm Sorry…"

My heart broke. This was more logical. This was what I should have expected, but I let our familiarity get the better of me. I nodded and stepped away from her. I needed to stay away. I needed to lick my wounds alone.

I'm such a fucking idiot to think my mom would remember me if she just looked at me. Of course she didn't and of course she wanted me dead. Of course!

"Are you her consort?" She asked me coming closer, passing right by Regina on her way.

I could see Regina's mind working. Please don't do anything stupid Regina. I thought , but out loud I said. "I'm not… but I want to understand."

Snow laughed. "You… Love her!" Regina looked up at me. I tried not to notice that she could see the Queen's intentions, I tried not to notice that my MOTHER was trying to kill me. I tried not to Notice, that Henry had just come around the corner with Killian. Definitely tried not to react to the fact that Regina was coming out of her hiding spot. "Does she love you? God I hope she does." She laughs maniacally.

Regina raised a dagger to the queen's throat. Then there was a thwack to my right and she was hit . she fell backward and took a deep breath.

"Regina!" I screamed surging forward as mom cackled.

Henry tore away from Killian and headed to Regina's side. "Mom, mom… please stay with us."

I dropped to my knees in tears next to her. "No… what did you do?" I cried.

"I couldn't let her take your heart." she said softly.

"She wouldn't be able to take it from me anyway. I'm protected. You, and believe it or not Her love for my father protect me… I don't belong here. None of us do."

she laughed slightly… painfully, "I wish you'd have told me before…"

I smiled and ran my fingers through her raven hair. Then she exhaled and closed her eyes.

I let out a Sob. "Kiss her!" Henry cried.

I did I kissed her. "Please Regina."

Mom laughed. "She's not cursed dear, True Love's kiss will do nothing now."

"Wait…" Henry said looking at the author's pen in his hand. "This world is the opposite of ours right, so if we needed dark blood in our world…" He reached out with the pen and touched Regina's blood and wrote in his notebook.

"With the last beat of her heart Regina the Hero turned everything back as it was before."

Suddenly we were all transported to Storybrooke and Regina drew a deep breath. "Hi," SHe said looking at me.

I smiled back at her and she kissed me.

The night was eventful. We rid Gold of his darkness, and we were all eating a family dinner at Granny's It was all so perfect. Our baby was back where she was supposed to be. I was happy.

I yawned and Regina looked over at me. "Do you want to go home?"

"I want to take a walk with you. I could use some fresh air after being locked away in that tower."

She smiled and slid out of the booth, my hand in hers. As we walked we noticed other couples forced to be enemies taking in the beautiful moonlit night with a stroll in the small town streets. Including My parents.

"Look out!" Leroy screamed from down the street. Regina and I separated, just in time for a dark mass to hit her and enveloped her completely.

"Regina!" I scream and stepped closer.

"No!" Regina said holding her hand out.

"Wha-"

"There's got to be another way!" she shouted over the whirlwind that consumed her.

"I can't… You worked so hard to push away the darkness."

"You can save me… I know you can." Regina said.

"Not if you're the dark one… " I said. " You can save me." I said making the decision taking the nameless dagger I had tucked away in my boot and plunging it into the darkness.

"Emma! No!" Regina screamed having been expelled from the epicenter of the dark storm.

"Save me." I said. "Save us!" Then everything went dark.
